My name is Michael, a US citizen trying to live a good life. I am on a fixed income with disability. I was really interested in this john beck thing and I found out after ordering the first part he was going to charge me even more per month. I can not afford this. They took my 58 dollars and come change out of my account. I received the product and called one of their coaches and he advised me to cend it back that I had to have a credit card to do this business. with out giving me any number for return I sent it back to the return address. then I called back to let them know that It was on its way. The lady said that in 30 days my money should be returned back into my account. well It has been longer than 30 days. and I have tried to call them back and I was told to wait and they hung up on me. So I tried to call back again and they dont answer. A few days later I called again and I get nothing but a busy signal. I Want My MONEY BACK. I cannot afford to loose this.

Ok! I got scammed! John Beck's Free and Clear system got me real good! When I saw the infomercial I was sold! On 10/1/07 I paid $307.79 for the kit. A week later the director called me and told me the cost of the training is $12,500.00!

Here is the series of events!
On 10/17/07, Mr. Daniel Johnson (director of the program) called to discuss how the John Becks Free & Clear Real Estate System Works. He explained the following:

In order to be successful in this business:
1.Time is money Must commit to 5 to 10 hours a week
2.Decision making Good deals dont wait around. Must move quickly
3.Resources Dont pull money out of my own pocket. Use OPM (Others People Money)! This business has to pay for itself.
4.Knowledge
5.100 % Commitment

Investment / Cost:
$12,500.00 one time investment to join the class (Knowledge & Tools)
2 day seminar with John Beck in Las Vegas
100% deductible

Warranty & rewards program:
Warranty - If I have not brought or sold property within 60 days, they will work with me for six months free! Still waiting on a call...
Rewards:
* If I buy 5 properties = 50% ($6,000.00 of my initial investment I will get back)
* If I buy 8 properties = 100% (12,500.00 of my initial investment I will get back)

Mentoring sessions:
10 sessions for 10 weeks (do one session a week for 20-45 minutes)
If I asked any questions during my session, I was told to call the coaching hotline. When I call the coaching hotline, I was referred back to my mentor.
When I asked the mentor any questions it would take up 30 mins. of my coaching time and I would not get any coaching for that week. I went through the training for 10 weeks!

***Another Scam***
After 3 weeks John Beck refers all of his students to Strategic Financial for CPA services. This is another scam! I paid Strategic Financial over $3,868.80 to do my 2007 taxes in 2008. Well, to make a long story short, I faxed Strategic Financial (in Utah) both my personal & business taxes on February 4, 2008 and they have NOT completed my taxes to date (3/10/08)
I conclusion, I spent over $16,676.59 in credit cards (money I did NOT have) I have been unemployed hoping and praying that my business would rise off the ground to now find out this has been a scam all along! I pray and I hope that John Beck pays for scamming and preying on vulnerable people like me who really want to move ahead in life by starting their own real estate business to later learn they have been SCAMMED!

My own fault 15 page of sites with thousand of unhappy ripped off customers on the internet. type John Beck ripoff. I paid 39.95 + Shipping and Handeling. I spent 15 days trying to get a hold of customer service. I left messages on the customer service voice mail. No one return my calls. I sent emails to customer support. I received one automated response to thee 3 e-mails sent. Still was not resolved. I can not believe these people are still in business. WHERE ARE THE FEDS !!! Is John Beck Real Estate a Scam? YES! John Beck's real estate program called BUY REAL ESTATE FREE & CLEAR FOR PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR claims to show you how to purchase homes all over the United States and Canada for as little as 2 or 3 cents on the dollar. For $39.95 + SHIPPING, customers receive several books and information including: Amazing Profits Free and Clear Real Estate Directory Free and Clear Properties By Mail Pennies On The Dollar Tax Lien Edition Pennies On The Dollar Tax Deed Edition Making Money On The Internet and the Bonus materials... Quick Start Video Free and Clear Making - Money On The Internet CD-Rom It sounds like interesting information, but I say these products are only loose guidelines on John Beck's real estate investment strategies with unintelligible legal and tax jargon that only a real estate lawyer could understand. The ordering process is completely automated (with no live person). After each step, you are prompted to make another purchase and then another and another. I ordered the books. I declined the prompt for "property vault membership", but I charged $39.95/monthly anyway. I tried to cancel the 30 day FREE Trial of PROPERTY VAULT FOR 15 DAYS - Sundays I was left on hold for 30 to 50 minutes or longer before being hung up on. E-mails to their customer support with no response until I said "I wanted to cancel". "In the secert vault:" I did not get 1.8 MILLION Properties on JOHN BECK'S PROPERTY VAULT, nor did I see any homes as he has advertised on TV. They say John Beck is charging you for a list 5.00 to 70.00 dollars each that you can obtain for FREE from the Tax Office in your county. Before Receiving John Beck product, I was repeatedly harassed by John Beck's real estate sales staff to buy higher priced products such as real estate coaching. The odd thing about the coaching is the price range which may be as low as $2200.00 or as high as $13,800.00. This is because the John Beck representative who calls to sell coaching to you will determine how much you can afford by asking how many credit cards you have and what the limit of each card is. This is scandalous! If someone asks you these type questions, you need to hang up on them no matter what company they are with. The John Beck program is most definitely a scam! The absence of customer service via phone or e-mail is outrageous. There is no assured way to contact these people about getting the monthly credit card charges stopped! You could quickly run into some serious credit card debt if you enroll into this program. Once agian I ask where are the charges why are these people allowed to Con thousands of people out of there hard earn money.

I saw the informercial on this product yesterday and normally I would not fall for something like that, but we have fallen on hard times financially and I figured why not give it a shot. So I ordered the product through a completely automated system, so that should have stopped me there, but I thought "okay, companies are going this way now to save $" and ordered anyway, luckily I did not fall for any of the add-on's. It wasn't until afterward that I looked this up online and saw all of you complaints and the many others out there, so it really worried me. Then today I tried to call the customer service number and got a busy signal, that really freaked me out since I used my check card to pay for this, however, none of the charges have hit my account yet - so I called up the bank and cancelled my check card before they could bill me and continue to bill me with this scam. I then called the customer service number and it actually rang and after sitting on hold for 5 minutes, I got some incompetent fool that told me I was not in the system yet and that I should call back. I informed him that I had cancelled my account because this was a scam and that if I called back in tomorrow, like he suggested and they tell me that it was already shipped that I am going to be really ticked off b/c he informed me that it was not in the system and I had to call back. I plan to call back first thing tomorrow which would put it at 48-hours to cancel this stupid product - either way, I know my $ is safe - I suggest the rest of you cancel your accounts to protect your financial future.

This is definitely a scam. We got a call on a Friday afternoon, we had ordered the information about a month ago and had not even opened it yet when we got the call. A guy names Josh called and talked to me about our financial situation and told me only a chosen few would be moved forward to a high up and referred for their system, because they only want people who are serious about earning money and want people who know about making their credit work for them. You only need to dedicate 10 hrs a week to this and you will be making enough money to pay off even the biggest debt in about two years. So i talked to this guy for a while, then he made a follow up phone call with both me and my husband for which he explained kind of how the program worked, then he said he was definitely going to "refer" us for this program and he talked with not his boss because he was unavailable but his bosses boss Mr. Hall and they were eager to get us started. So about 40 minutes later "Mr. Hall called us and started feeding us this line and basically my husband told him he was a LIAR and we were not spending our money on this, so we hung up. The next day I got a call back from the original guy Josh,for which he started yelling at me over the phone and saying you guys threw some fit like a two year old and he got written up because he referred us and we declined and call MR. Hall a liar, he went on to tell me that next time why dont I just spend my $40.00 that I bought the program with to buy a new pair of shoes.

OH MY! Listen to this after purchasing John Beck's Free & Clear System, a week or so later started getting calls on my cell from someone named "JIM" working with John Beck. At first it sounded very promissing but as he went on to ask about my financail background and on how they'll ask me for a deposite(which mentioned briefly & last thing), I asked him of how much deposit? He was very vage and claimed not to know the exact amount but said depending on your experience and effort. BUT what made me change my mind totally about the whole thing is that he said that "from all clients he worked with the deposite question was never asked or WAS NOT an issue at all. He sounded very suspecious to me when previous month I had to change my cc 'cause felt not good about this (and stupid me told him about it) but said that OH NO you need that same card and in two weeks I'll call you again to see if the card is valid again cause you need it to purchase properties and speak directly with John Beck, He said with no card we cannot proceed & said is totally refundable But how do I trust someone I never met or never done business with before to give that much money when there is no writting agrrement between us, you simply cannot trust people anymor. Please be alert and careful if you already ordered this system or planning to order which as you can see NOT RECOMMENDED

I ordered this john beck crap 4 days ago i havent received it yet but i stumbled upon this site in the mean time so i called up to cancel 5 min after their customer service offices open in the morning, and i got this girl who had a really bad attitude before i even mentioned canceling. then i told her i wanted to cancel and she was making noises as if she was looking for me on her computer like "hmmmm....hmmmm...i'm not seeing you here" i told her that i highly doubt that given that its been a few days and she gave me some crap saying that it takes a few days for the info to get downloaded onto their computers and that i should call back in 3 to 4 hours. Then i asked her why she was giving me such a vague time and she gave me such an attitude that i was in shock that this was happening with such a big company, then she just hung up abruptly. I tried to call back 4 hours later and was on hold for 30 min. so i just gave up, i went to the bank right away and changed the number on my debit card so now i have a new card so they cant start with that monthly charging stuff. But i'm still gonna get the product in the mail i guess i'll just throw it out and accept my loss of 60 bucks or whatever it is.

I have tried to get a refund ever since I started this program. It's supposed to be a money back guarantee program if you are not successful. My husband and I have spent countless hours studying and visiting websites to make offers on properties. They told me that I didn't need any money down. I spent over $3,200.00 for their program which their coaches did not teach me anything at all. They only gave me 30 min and left me in the dark. I would like to take this to a federal court. They never pick up there phones. I haven't received my full sessions in 2 months. Big time scam. I feel like they stole $3,200.00 from me and only gave me a couple of conversations. When I started to complain was when they begin not to take my call. I eventually canceled my credit cards so they would not try to charge me anything else. My advice to anyone thinking about this program would be simply don't do it. It's all a big head ache and a big scam.

I too ordered the Free and Clear system after seeing the infomercial. I wish I had checked the Internet before I ordered! I, like others received a post card instructing me to call a toll-free number with my reference number. It was an automated system, which gives no option to speak with a person. After following the prompts, I got a confirmation that my request was received and my account would not be billed. Today I checked my bank balance and see that I have been charged. I called my Bank to explain the situataion, and they told me that because this was charged already, they could not cancel the charge, but they did offer me the opportunity to get a new card with new numbers, so they will no longer be able to continue to charge me for this bogus rip-off scam service!

Do NOT buy this product! While the information was informative you would be better off going to the library or bookstore and finding a book on tax lien or tax lien certificates. My problem is the continuing charges each month. I initially ordered the product in October 2007 and started getting charged $39.95 each month thereafter. I tried to call the company and emailed every address I could find - most returned undeliverable. Called my bank to reverse the charge and block future charges, which they did, but the following month the same charge went through - this time under a slightly different name. The bank says the only thing that can be done is to cancel the debit or credit card the product was purchased with because John Beck's company will just continue to bill each month under a new name and they could have hundreds of these - you can not block or cancel them all. Cancel your card ASAP to stop the charges.

His informational commercial states that you can purchase a house for pennies on the dollar and he always shows you houses for $400.00 and up but very few over $1000.00 but I will tell you that that is a load of crud. And his system is not worth the amount; it is not even worth the money it takes to purchase the lighter that you will use to burn it.
