I am also a victim of the "Singer Talaban" I ordered one in August of 2005 from the famous info-mercial and had grown suspeciuos when the order had never arrived in October.  I called the 800 number, on hold for over 2 hours, called back and on October 19, 2005 did get a female who seemed like she may have been parting alittle too long during the work hours. She said she would send the machine out that day and I said "NO" I wanted a refund.   She said the refund would take, get this 4 weeks !  What a rip.... Still waiting and it is now December 2005. Let us gather our information and file some sort of law suite or wait, better yet let the government that allows these types of bussiness investigate and charge accordingly.....

I order the Singer Lazer Storm on May 30th 2005. My bank account was debit on June 14th 2005. I have called On July 29th to see the progress of my order.  I was told that something was wrong with my credit card (which I knew was a lie because that had already taken money from my bank account).   So, then they told me to wait 2 more weeks to get the vaccum it was coming (yet they could not give me a tracking number for the shipment).   On Sept. 1st 2005 I decided to cancel the order.  They then tell me that they will refund the money in 21 days of my call.  I called every week since still no refund.  I Called the 1-800-711-8667; 1-800-711-8357; 212-575-0500 corporate office then I was given 1-800-974-8590 and I emailed the at the email address still nothing.  Still today December 10, 2005 nothing please if someone could let me know how to solve this let me know I just want my money back.

Purchased this produce on 8-17-05 using my visa card from a tv info-mercial.  product was advertised as2 for 1 price,   They sent 4.  They then said they would send a fed ex shipping label stating where to send the remaining 2 vacumns. I shipped them back after them charging me $333.48 on my debit card.  They indicated after repeated attempts at calling that I would receive a cr of $174.14.  To date this has never happened.  Not only that, but after using the vacumn, I wanted to ship the remaining 2 back because they are an inferior product, and misrepresented.  The filter system is lousy.  This is really sad when we cannot trust the TV station, plus the Co advertising on the TV.

I ordered from the infomercial for buy one get one, along with two steam cleaners that were free with a $20 each for shipping.  My credit card was billed in August for $153.90, not the three payments of $39.95.  Then I received 4 vacuumes and no steamers. When I finally got someone on the phone, I was told that I needed to send two vacuums back and they would refund a total of $156.oo.  My credit card was billed 3 more times for 79.90, 40.00 and 79.90. Now if I get the $156.00 back I may be happy, but never order from an infomercial again.   I sent the two extra vacuums back and received one (1) steamer, but have been charged $40.00 twice for the shipping on two.  Like so many on line, the numbers they give you are always so busy due to "over wellming response".  I am going to contact my credit card first and then the State Attorney.  If I have luck with them, I"ll write more later.

I ordered this product on 09/30/05 they billed me from my debit card for $189.87 , i, as of now have not received anything from them today 12/09/05, i also contacted them three or four times and they said it was coming within 7 to 10 days by UPS. This last time i called them ( 1-800-974-8590) i told them that if i did not receive my order i would contact the news media, and they would investigate their company, i would advise all the rest of you to contact your news media also and hopefully all of us that were taken in on this SCAM  will be re-embursed.

Actually my story is almost identical to Lonnie's story, I ordered this product on 9/22/05,   it is now 12-07-05 and I have not received the product. My credit card was charged the full amount the day folling my order and still NO PRODUCT!!! I even paid priority shipping. This Companies EMAIL IS A JOKE, YOU WILL NEVER GET ANY RESONSE FROM THEM. The Customer Service number (OR SO IT'S CALLED) IS A BIG WASTE OF TIME, YOU EITHER WAIT HOURS TO SPEAK TO someone who just gives you a run-a-round or you get cut off. I even called the supposed corporate office at 212-575-0500 and all the say is their customer service reps are too busy to take the call and they take your name and phone number and say they will call you back. BIG JOKE! This company has LIED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES!!! They tell me my product will ship in 3-5 days or a customer service rep will call me back within (2) hours and they NEVER DO. My opinion is, please do not waste your money, this company is running a scam and you will be ripped off like thousands of others.  Please contact your Attorney General's office in your state to file a compliant.  These people need to pay for what they've done to us.

I had the same problem as everyone else on the site concerning the Singer vac.  I called today and got the 1-800 that says to emailcustomercare@singerlazer.com.   When I was trying to figure out if it was laser or lazer, I came across this web site and saw that many people have not received their order.  I was charged on 9/30 and still have not received the product.  But...there is a solution.  Don't wait on hold with them any more.  Call your credit card company.  It took five minutes and they credited me the money.  Good Luck!!!

I ordered 2 lazer storm vacuum cleaners in August 2005 for my two children that are now in college.  About two weeks later I received 4 cleaners instead.  I called and explained the mistake and was told to pack up the extra two and that they would be picked up.  After about 20 days, I called and asked what the delay was because they were still debiting my credit card and I couldn't get anything refunded until they received the machines back.  They said it would take up tp 30 days, but it is now over 60 days and the box is still here.  I am no longer interested in this product, and I have been trying to communicate with the customer service department that I want to return three machines for credit (none of which have been opened), but no one will answer my calls or emails.  The filter is worthless after about a week, and I don't recommend this product to anyone.

I have ordered and received the order confirmation on Oct 8, by e-mail, stating the order is shipped via FedEx Ground. Then on Oct 12, FedEx sent me information to my shipment tracking,  package data for 1 pc of cargo for Ground-Domestic of 20 lbs has been transmitted to FedEx on Oct 4 at 8.26pm. After this information, FedEx is trying very cunningly not to give further information on tracking. Also the seller has tried not to even accept my contacting to gain some information.  I even tried to ask them how I could cancel the order.   But they did not reply to my request, even though they received my e-mail after such many trys. How can they cheat consumers so easy in open TV.  There must be some way to prevent  and punish such cheating and protect honest customers.

My wife ordered this product on sept 25 and it is now dec 8 and still no product. Have tried the 800 # and been put on hold for hours. Not sure how much her account will be charged in the end, but am sure it will be too much!!!!!! Everyone who has had a problem with this company and product should contact their local law enforcement agencies and press charges. This CRAP needs to be stopped and someone needs to go to JAIL!!!!!! P.S. My wife has spent countless hours on the phone and has finally talked to one REAL person. We will get back to you with the numbers ASAP.

I ordered the above item from a TV advertisement (I have never before had trouble with TV orders) on Oct. 1, 2005.   It was to come, along with some incentive items, in 4-6 weeks.  I have waited, patiently, thinking they were overwhelmed with orders, but that it would be coming soon, but it has not come to date (12/7/05).  I called 1-800-386-3773, today, December 7, 2005, and after a long wait, was given a customer service number 1-800-716- 8667, which I called and was on hold for over = hour.  I finally looked up Singer Vacuums on the Internet, and came across endless complaints for this TV order.  I have paid for the item with my MasterCard, and want my money back.  How can I go about getting it?   What do I do next?  I have always thought Singer was a reputable company, but now I have lost faith in them, and will probably never order another product from them.

I guess I am like the rest of the foolish people who believed in trust. I am waiting for $453.70 to be returned to my account since October. My original order was placed in Aug. After a number of calls and waiting on hold for hours at a time I tried to e-mail. Thats when I found all of the complaints. Iwould like to see Singer go out of business to, is ther something that can be done. I did get a person at one point after being on hold for over 2 hours on my third try in as many days. I was told that my money would be returned in 15 working days. Guess what - no money yet and this was in Oct. I had cancelled my order when I was told they no longer had Singer and they were substituting Igia. I have even contacted Igia with no luck. I hope someting can to be done to stop these scams.,

Well lets see what kind of response to this. This company is a piece of crap and should be banned from TV. I ordered in Sep 05 and returned because I was unhappy that I was charged 193.90 for 1 vacuum. I called all of these numbers as others have. 1-800-711-8357, 1-800-974-8590, 1-800-709-2216, 1-212-575-0500, and still unable to talk with anyone. Numerous emails and too much time wasted on hold. One time I did speak with a Cherry and she told me that they received the returned vacuums and I was entitled to my refund. That was 5 weeks ago. I leave my home number 253-xxx-xxxx, cell 253-xxx-xxxx. I want us all to contact your local news cast and let them hear your story. I want Singer to lose business. I want some action taken. If we all stand together and do what we need to get our money back. I am going to file fraud with the Local Police Dept. like my bank has instructed me to. Pleas feel free to call me! I am determined to get my money back!:)

I ordered this product on July 27 and found the automated telephone ordering program to be confusing and impossible to match the deal offered in the infomercial (3 payments; 2 for 1; free steamer)but there was no way to cancel or edit my order and I hung up. The order that should have been around $120.00 showed up on my charge account as $343.00! Repeated attempts to e-mail (there was no phone # available) requesting/demanding a cancellation and refund were ignored. Eventually I filed a consumer complaint with the Attorney General of Indiana, who quickly contacted the fulfillment company: TACTICA INTERNATIONAL DIP. They as quickly sent a letter confirming SHIPMENT, not a cancellation (a letter referencing IGIA)despite the fact that the AG's office had reiterated my request for cacellation. This occured October 13, 2005, some 12 weeks after the initial order! THe thing arrived on October 12! I called Fed Ex and requestd a return for the package, explaining that to me it represented a cancelled order and had not been opened, and they picked up promptly the next morning with no hassle and no charge to me (Fed Ex DOES know how to deliver good customer service). Tactica called me at work a few days later to follow up on if I was satisfied with the product and the resolution of my complaint. I told them exactly what I thought of the appalling lack of customer service and dishonest and confusing way they ran their business, but they promised a refund within 4-6 weeks AFTER the receipt of the returned merchandise. Noone could explain why it must take so long! I'm still waiting. I've tried to call and been on hold for interminable lengths of time so I'm going back the the AG. I would advise anyone reading this to contact your home state's Attorney General. In Indiana there is a fairly easy on-line form for filing a consumer complaint and someone from that office has spoken to me twice to follow up. I am certain that what meager response I have received from Tactica was only because of that complaint. The AG's office discussed with me that Singer itself has a better record and that it seems to be this fulfillment company that is the source of the trouble. I am still not entirely satisfied at this point, but the AG seems worth approaching. At least some official record is being started. There is no question that I will never, as long as I live, order any product featured in a television informercial again.

I ordered from the TV add of buy one get one free.  I ordered the one and got four.  Called after on hold for over 1/2 hr.  they said they would pick up the 2 on a friday.  Friday went and past.   I called was placed on hold again they said send the two pack by UPS and they would pay the shipping and credit me back.  I sent them the next day.  Waited, called, placed on hold.  They verified they got the Singer Lazers back and I would have to wait three week for the credit. That was five weeks ago.  Still no credit and can't get them on the phone.

I ordered the vacuum in August, was suppose to pay it in three installments. Well, I got 4 vacuums instead of the buy one get one free (just paying shipping on the free vacuum), and was charged a total of $193.90 to my visa card, and showed a balance of $159.80 on my invoice, for a grand total of $353.70.   I called the company and they said I would receive a return sticker in the mail to return it to them in about 4-8 weeks, I screamed at the lady on the phone and said are you crazy that long for a sticker to come in the mail. She then said that UPS would come and get it after I receive the sticker to put on the box, if I didn't want to wait for it I would have to send it back to them at my own expense. Well it's now Dec. 1 and I have not yet been able to get a hold of them at the number on the invoice, it is always busy or says we are experiencing high call volumes and are waiting forever!! I was going to e-mail them, but after reading all the complaints it's not even worth my time.  I am calling the Better Business Bureau, my state attorney general (PA) and my credit card company to let them know what's going on and try to put a stop to them trying to charge my card for the remaining balance of $159.80, which has not appeared on my statements yet, thank heavens. We all need to do something to get this commercial off the air before more people are taken advantage of like I was. I have purchased numerous item off of the tv and I've never had something like this happen before, and for the most part was very satisfied with the other products  I have purchased in the past, but I will never purchase anything from a commercial off the tv again, I'll stick with QVC and HSN, I've never had any problems with them. Now I am stuck with 2 extra vacuums that I don't want. I have used the other 2 vacuums and they work ok, but not what I expected. I've definitly learned my lesson!!

To whom it may concern: On August 3, 2005 I made a credit card purchase to buy the Laserstorm vacuum from a TV ad.  On august 3rd there was a debit from my account for $178.82. Then on august 24, 2005 another   debit to my credit card in the amount of $79.90 and again on Sept. 27th in the same amount.   It took so long to received the product that I no longer wanted it as it was for a gift. I called Laserstorm and they told me to send it back as I had not opened it yet.  I have a FEDEX tracking number  showing that it had been picked back up and sent to and delivered to Los Angeles, Calf.  On the 24th of October.   I called at that time and said that it had been shipped back and I wanted to be refunded  for $338.62.  I had previously called on  October 5th. And was told that when they received it, it would take 2-3 weeks for my money to be credited back to my account.  Well now it is the end of November and still no credit to my account.   I am very upset about this. I have continually called 1-800-711-8357 and it is constantly busy.  There must be some recourse for people that scam!!

I unfortunately placed an order on 11/12 or 11/13/05 to receive one item and the steam cleaner.  With this order I was supposed to receive another vacuum for FREE, and just pay for SHIPPING the the steamer.   I asked for split payments.  However, I noticed on 11/16/05 $153.90 was withdrawn from my account.  This transaction now put my account in the negative, with another $34.00 charge for overdraft fees. I have tried numerous times to talk to a "customer service" representative, however, I am on hold for 30 mins, and then the line hangs up.  I work full-time, and this is very frustrating to say the least.   To add to this mess, I received 4 vacuums, I only ordered one and was to receive another one for FREE. I want my account credited for $153.90 plus the $34.00 overdraft fees.  I want to send these back, but, imagine that, you can't get hold of anyone to get the information needed to send them back. I will never order from the television again.  I wanted to give one of these to my mother for Christmas.  Now, all I want is my money refunded.
