I saw the lifestyle lift on TV and on the internet. Sound so good, so I made an appointment. Then I found this site with the complaints, I read every single one of them. I felt so bad for everyone, but was convinced I did not want to go through the same things. I made a Aug. 29th appointment, and when I canceled they tried to convince me to give them a try and I couldn't pay attention to a few complaints. I said a FEW and boldly said NO and hung up. I am forever grateful for all the information I found on this site. I am a lucky one!

I had the Lift Style Lift on 1/14/08 and much to my dissapointment am very dissatisfied. They have my money and dont want to know my name after making many appts and attemps to get some corrective procedure. My area of concern is lower right side, now both sides and more pronounced. This is a teaching facility! Dr.s who need added income go to these offices and train on you and me how to do this procedure. The life Style lift people are making the money and the Dr.s get to practice. No body really wants to be accountable when you need them, and believe me you will need all the support you can get! If you need correction its taken care of up to 1year. BE WARNED! I would like to hear about all the corrective procedures they admit to.

Your not even gonna give us a chance to prove them wrong? me No Ma'am. she so thats it, your just gonna call and canc. me(laughing by now) um..yes Ma'am. she Well, I guess if everyone jumped off a bridge, you'd do the same. me No Ma'am. ya see some women sadly DID jump off that bridge with your company and I dont want to become another one of your victims. she Well, I just think. me Ma'am?LISTEN, YOUR BUTCHERS POSING AS PLASTIC SURGEONS ARE NOT COMING NEAR MY FACE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING MA'AM? CANC MY APPOINTMENT! then I hung up on her. I think she was crying. I felt like I was breaking the womans heart. WHEW!! what a Proffesional place THAT was. Anyway, Thank you all so much for the warning!!

Hello everyone its me again. Interesting I seen a clip of a show that had Dr Kent on about his procedure. The show was []. Please email this show with your story ( I did ) Stop this Dr. from his scam and from scarring anyone else.

8/11/2008 - karen writes:
[] on Fox TV in NY just did what amounted to a commercial for Lifestyle Lift. Dr. Kent was on with one of his patients along with exact pics from his infomercials. This was supposed to be an honest piece. Hah. NO clients with problems were quoted or shown. Go to mandjshow.com and watch the clip then email them with your truthful horror stories. They shouldnt be out there plugging this lift without proper investigation. How sad that unsuspecting viewers will be suckered in.

Had the lifetime lift in December 2007. Had eyelift, jowllift and liposuction under my chin. My jowls still sag and I still have fat under my chin. I called to make an appointment to go back in April and found out they closed the office in Philadelphia where I had the procedures done. The doctor is now in New Jersey and it's a 4 hour drive from where I reside. The office in Philadelphia was only an hour away. I made an appointment in New Jersey for August 2 and got so lost I turned around and came home. I am very upset because I spent a lot of hard earned money and I'm a single mother. My dermatologist even said they didn't do a good job. How can we get our money back and who do we contact?

Its me again! Woke up this morning and my ears are itching very badly. Yes this is the results of my lifestyle lift. I have to deal with this everyday now. Behind my ears are so lumpy and the scars in front of them are so jagged that this situation is not at all fun. Surgery was Jan 14th 2008. I want to get involved with putting a stop to this high dollar scam, but I need to know how we all can contact one another. My next step will reporting my butcher job to the medical board. I will not stop until I get my money back and hopefully be able to pay for corrective surgery for all the damage that was done to me. Like my previous statement, NO DIFFERENCE AFTER SURGERY, JUST ALOT OF DISCOMFORT AND SCARRING. Looking for a good attorney also in the Phoenix area.

I had a lifestyle lift done in Phoenix by Dr. Martin. Yes, I too am paying for a scam I fell for. I had lipo suction for my neck area, also a lift for the jowls. Everything you are reading on the complaints I know are real. I have horrible scaring in front of my ears and terrible itching and scaring in the back of them. I have a line in my neck from the lipo which feels like a vein. My surgery was Jan. 14th, 2008 and yes, I was referred to another Dr. from the same facility. I went to see him on May 13, 2008 and he agreed there was minimal change. The office manager agreed that in the before and after pics she could not tell the difference and she was sorry. The Dr. asked me what I wanted, I said my money back, as it is obvious the procedure wasn't done correctly. He said ok, you will get your money back. The office manager stated that the Dr. cannot make that decison. It seems they just wanted to get me out of the office just like when I had the surgery. Just like herding cattle. Got the money, butchered me up and never seen another Dr again until the corporate office (Pam)requested that I see another of their Dr's. I saw that Dr. on May 13th because they wanted me to get meds for the uncontrollable itching behind my ears. Well, Dr never gave me anything for the itching nor did he recommend anything. All they really wanted was to see the damage first-hand and be able to do damage controll for their own benefit. The horrors you are hearing are very true. It's been 8 mos. since my surgery and I look the same as I did before surgery; I just added scars and itching to my life. Someone needs to stop this practice. Class- action suit, you bet! Count me in!

I had the LSL proceedure performed late March, 2008, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and also had my eyelids done. I am very healthy, never ever sick, so I healed up well and am pleased with the facial improvement. However, the eyes are another matter. The right eye was left with a large band of scar tissue in the corner, and sutured in such a way that my eye appeared noticeably smaller than the left. (They've been the same size all my life.) The left eye had almost no skin removed; it looks pretty much like nothing was done. Bottom line, I was not happy with the eyes and wanted my $1400 refunded. I got nothing but the royal runaround, writing letters to the Ft. L. office and corporate HQ in Troy, Michigan. They all tried to convince me to have a corrective procedure and my Dr. even diagrammed in my chart how he would correct each eye, respectively. So no denying the eye procedure had been botched the first time. I refused to go under the knife a second time. Also, the top Dr. at the Ft. L. facility gave me a second opinion and said nothing should be done for at least 10 months to a year; let natural healing be complete. No one EVER actually acknowledged, much less gave a direct answer to, my request for a $1400 refund. I've heard from corporate; they won't say a word about money. Lucky me, I held the trump card! At time of surgery, LSL financed $1500 of my total charges. I had made 2 payments of about $48, so I simply told them I was not going to make any more payments on something I DID NOT RECEIVE; that is, a proper eyelid lift. Don't hesitate to stand your ground and keep fighting for what is right. And PS ladies: for any of you with scarring issues, get some cocoa butter ([]'s is good) and/or Vitamin E oil (or a combo product) and apply that 3-4 times a day (or more). Your scars will heal and may eventually disappear altogether. There are also scar creams available at health food stores, but the cocoa butter is inexpensive and available at all the major drug chains. Good luck with that part of the problem!

I had the procedure done December 2006 and a revision done May 2007 in Dallas Texas and like everyone else the results were horrible. I had my eyes done as well as my face, thinking it would get rid of the folds at my mouth, which in hind sight, I did not need the procedure at all. I did complain about the 1st procedure, the scars in front of the ears that circled around to my hair line. The doctor was very mean and accused me of insulting his work, well I gave him the opportunity to fix his mess and I got the same results. I was not charged for the revision and after the revision did not work, the office manager did offer to submit a request for a refund after I sent hugh color photos of the results. I received a refund in 2006 but I have in turn reported this to the Texas Medical Board and they reviewed the case and the photos I sent and they are now actively investigating the case. I just deal with this every day and like the rest of you just try to hid the scars and where my hair long around my ears. These people need to be stopped!!!

I had the Lifestyle Lift in September 2007 in Denver. The staff and surgeon were nice and generally responsive. I spoke with two very satisfied patients prior to scheduling surgery. Although I had an improvement, I would not recommend the procedure. Recovery took longer than indicated in the infomercial. Now almost a year later I still have a visible scar below one ear (sometimes I hide it with an adhesive bandage)and puckering and scars behind both ears which I try to conceal with my hair. It's very embarrassing. I also have some asymmetry and numbness (possible nerve damage.) Although the surgeon offered to do a free scar revision I can't take time off work and I am hesitant fearing additional problems. In the consultation before my surgery, I asked about scarring. The staff assured me that I would not have scars because my surgery would be done by a "plastic surgeon" versus a general surgeon. Not only are their ads misleading, they have a myriad of web sites on the internet that only report positive results, prohibiting you from posting anything controversial.

I am one of the lucky ones that read all your stories before I made my decision which is an emphatic NO! My experience was that I went to the office for a consultation this is before I did my internet research, and was made to wait 1.5 hrs. This was in Denver, CO. The sales lady disguised as a tech-looking person, was horrible! She told me that I needed to hurry and take this deal they had going until the end of the month. I laughed under my breath when the huge red flags went up. I had talked to another lady in the waiting room that was also in for a consultation, and she was very skeptical, moreso that I was. We agreed to exchange thoughts after the consult and gave each other our phone numbers. She is the one that initially did the research and said she wouldn't do this procedure with Lifestyle Lift if her life depended on it! I must say too, that I looked in the photo book they had in the video room and I was shocked to see the scarring and how different the earlobes looked AFTER surgery. I even told this to the sales lady and she was amazed - had not ever noticed that before! Amazed is right - she was amazed that I am that detail-oriented that I would notice that, as most just look at the neck and jowls. Of course there is going to be a scar - I know that - but this level of schlockie work is unacceptable. Thank goodness I never went for it. I would rather go to a reputable plastic surgeon who has a great record and no websites like this! I don't mind paying the extra money, as at least it would be for good and not wasted.

I hate to tell you this, but I had a great experience with the Lifestyle Lift. However, it was done in Houston by very good surgeon. I had the Lifestyle Lift and neck liposuction. Yes, there was pain and significant swelling, but it was primarily due to the liposuction. The doctor warned me about that. The lift itself caused very little trouble, although I couldn't open my mouth too far for a couple of days, due to the tightened muscles. Once the bruising from the lipo vanished, not even my hairdresser could tell I had the surgery. I was clearly told that it was a 65 to 70% solution, compared with a full facelift. However, I was very pleased with the results. I do heal well and have never had issues with significant scarring, nor do I smoke. I have also had two surgeries for thyroid cancer, so I know what healing feels like and was not surprised by the normal pain incurred in the aftermath of surgery.

I had LifeStyle lift in May of 2007 with Dr. Farias in St. Louis. I agree with the other posters about him. The procedure was EXTREMELY painful. The scarring afterwards is and was terrible. The lipo under the chin I paid $300 extra for didn't do anything. I went back to him and he said that he could fix it all. So I went through the painful operation again and it healed the same as the first. Permanent scarring all the way down the side of my face and huge RED spots that never went away. Stay away from Dr. Farias. It's definantely NOT worth it.

I had my lifestyle lift down in April of 2006 in St. Louis, MO with Dr. Carlos Farias. I wish this website had been there then. I won't bore everyone with all the details, but I agree with everything that has been posted. Lifestyle lift could be a good procedure if they took their time (just a little) and was just a bit concerned with the patient. My scars are horrible under my ears still after 2 years. I can't tuck my hair or just let my hair blow in the wind. I'm always self conscious. The procedure hurt very badly and I was not able to go out in public at all for 5 days and that was just because I had too. Their claims are ridiculous that you can go back to work in one day. I did take pictures of my progress daily, showing swelling, bruising and horrible sutures. My regular MD stitched my hand up as a child and he took more care in the reconstruction then this so called cosmetic surgeon. I'm now looking for a treatment to help with my scarring. I would not recommend this procedure. Pay just a bit more and go to a professional, not a factory.

I had the procedure done at the Life Style Lifts in Plymouth Meeting in Pennsylvania. The procedure left me deformed and when I expressed my disappointment I was told I would have to have the procedure done all over again, but at my own expense. The surgeon, Dr. Kaplan, liposuctioned my neck and did so in an area that was not numbed, causing excruciating pain and she was ignorant and abusive to me all through the procedure. She did not pay attention to my details and she attached my ear lobes to the side of my neck, which is causing me great pain. She used contaminated instrument. When I went back for a follow-up visit and to have sutures removed, she deliberately kept me waiting all day long to see here and then she left without seeing me and told the office staff to reschedule me and I had to go back, which was a long 3 hours drive for me to get there and a 3 hours drive for me to get back home. I have been in contact continually with this company's corporate office and they are not willing to resolve the matter. They fired the doctor and now the Plymouth Meeting facility is closed. When I expressed how abusive the doctor was to me and how badly I looked and still do afterwards, I was blantly told by the office manager that "none of our surgerons are going to hold your hand". I was not able to work for 3 weeks and up to 8 months after the surgery, I can't have a collar or anything touch my neck, ears or jaw without having pain. Now, I have to hire an attorney to proceed. I just don't want anyone else to suffer as I have and to be left deformed and depressed. By the way, no one will tell me where Dr. Kaplan disappeared to. I would like to know how many other people were treated as I was by this abusive doctor at that facility. This procedure was supposed to be a turnin point in my life....a new beginning and instead, it drove me into the depths of depression. Thank you for listening.

I saw the commercial on TV and couldn't wait to get the Lifestyle Lift, so in order to just make the appt. I had to pay $409.00 over the phone, and was told after my appt. w/the dr., if I changed my mind I could get a refund for the entire amt. After my appt. They scheduled my surgery (on Friday the 13 of June of all days) and I had to pay an additional $509.00 which I was told if I should channge my mind in the next day or so I would get ALL my money back - BIG SCAM!!! That very night I ran across this site and after reading all these horror stories, I called to cancel and was told I could not get any of my money back, and because I signed a contract for making payments on the rest of the balance, I had to pay it all whether I get the surgery or not!! And I'm being charged $11,000. just to get my jowls lifted!!! I can't afford a lawyer so I don't have enough enough money to do anything about it! We all need to get together and go public with this! We need to sue these people for all the damage they've done to those who've had the surgery, and the rest of us who've lost alot of money!! We need to also stop them scamming commercials on TV which are all LIES they're useing all our money for!! Toni

I had this procedure done August of 07 and the most horrible experience that I ever had. I wrote to the [] and reported it and hope to have a [] against them. I too did not see any difference and have battle scars too, Stiches still in my neck area and one pixie ear and nerve damage to both sides and nothing can be done to correct that. I also had a hematoma in my check that the Dr never told me. I was smart and had my picture taken 3 days after that and showed how swollen my head was and black and blue and couldn't eat for 3 days, they told me that I could go back to work the next day, I had to take an emergency vacation from work. I would advise anyone to see a lawyer if its not to late. You have a case. I documented everything and have pictures to show the damage that was done by the Butcher. My doctor no longer does this. this is a SCAM Fast talken liers. Dr. [] didn't scare me with his letter threatening to sue me, I'm fighting back with avengence. I too don't expose my ears. I itch and tingle all the time. If i lean on my ear it burns inside, my right ear doesn't hold an earring withouut pinching it shut. I say to people out there thinking about getting it done. BEWARE OF THE BUTCHERS.

I had 2 LSL's, one that failed & a re-do both in Plymouth Mtg, Pa. LSL is a well oiled, money making machine. They are rehearsed to answer any objection during your initial consultation. They simply push you in front of the mirror, pull your face & neck back & tell you this is what you'll be missing if you don't take advantage of LSL. The results are not as advertised; in fact it lasted only as long as the swelling, then I was back to the same face with the addition of terrible scars. I've been told by a noted plastic surgeon that it will cost upwards of $20,000 to have my face repaired. Too much skin was removed, my skin was stretched in the wrong direction & attached in the wrong place, my ears are misplaced (pixie ears) & the scars are so thick that even the $20,000 surgery won't correct them. To anyone seeking a refund, all I can say is don't hold your breath. I was promised a full refund by David Kent the owner, on camera with an [] reporter but that was over 2 years ago & I never received anything in the mail but a law suit. He's suing the TV station. He has managed to scare everyone away by threatening to sue. We need national attention, we need to bring all the complaints from across the country together, so far everything's been on a local level. I have pain, scars, itching, weeping, sutures coming through the skin, etc. My ears & face feel like they're in a constant state of defrost, it's very disturbing & really ugly. This company should be closed down.
