I had a my first free consult today with a girl who I thought was the doctor. Turned out she is not and that I would have to put down $400 and wait until March to see the doctor. I told her I need to think it over. Now tonight I read all of these posts and I want to say thank you to everyone for posting what it's really like. I will definately not get this procedure done and I am only 51 years old and they were telling me to do chin, upper eyes, lower eyes and around the ears. It would have run $10,000 for the whole thing. Thank you thank you and sorry to all who has been hurt by this procedure.

I had my surgery on 0ct.29th of 2007.I did everything I was told and paid my four thousand dollars to the new mexico office.I wanted to make sure he was going to take my laugh lines away.No problem right. When I got back to the motel room and took the big bandage off I cried when I saw I still looked about the same.He didnt take any of my wrinkles away accept for the ones next to my ears. Its over 3 months now and I still cant sleep on my ears.First it was numb for two and a half months but now that I can feel again I can feel the stiches under my skin.My neck fell a week later and now I look the same as before. What a waist of time and pain.Oh by the way it is very painful and you could never go back to work the next day like they say.You have black stiches all behind your ears and in front that are very noticeable.Thank u for listening and please check out your doctor before you have it done.

My friend told me about the Lift and as the office was close to my atp. in New York City I went in and after waiting 2 hrs was seen by a white coated (car sales men type) girl. I was shown a video but only showed the same photos of their single brochure. Nothing was shown about the real procedure and how they perform the surgery. That bothered me and it should have. The you can go have lunch after line was also given. As I had recently been quoted a large fee from a "Park Ave" surgeon I though 6,000 was a bargain. I also asked for a price list and they didn't have one. I wonder what kind of prices they charge each person for the same work. But 2 weeks later my complaint is one side of my neck has a long indention and a hard lump behind the ear. I thought I had a "hemotoma" but the operating doctor said no- wait for the swelling to go down, but you known when something is wrong and I said this isn't normal swelling. It appeared the neck muscle had been pulled too tight on one side and was in spasm. I don't know what the indention is but am planning on seeing a different doctor for an outside opinion. A friend of mine thought I had a tumor removed from my neck. Wonder what I will do to correct this, but I will file a complaint against them if this isn't resolved. My doctor was nice and appeared confident. I think there sales practices are cheap and they need to use nurses and not just giving a lab coat to any college kid looking for a job. I am curious if the doctors that come their are doing it for the practice. I had signed up for the month to month plan so we'll see how that goes. I'm not paying if the other side of my neck isn't fixed. I read so many people complained about their ears. One of my lobes is much larger than the other one. I don't know how that could have happened. I'll be glad to join a class action. My address is [] and my email is []. My phone number is []. Some changes really need to be forced to happen at this company.

I had the Lifesyle Lift with Lipo 12/18/07. I did everything that I was told to do postop. I am still at six weeks out wearing a headband at night (normally for 4 weeks). My problem is that my neck has loose skin that is very unattractive. (I did'nt even have this problem before) I just had my 6 week postop visit and I felt like I was being put off. My options that were given were 1)do nothing (don't think so), 2)make an incision down my neck and "tighten the skin" (again don't think so. Who would want a visible scar for everyone to see?) or 3)have laser treatment (at whose expense?) I was then told to wear my headband for another month and come back in two months!!! I don't know what another month of a headband is going to do other than keeping it from getting worse. For the ones that think that these are make up, will this one is not!!! Yes, I did my research beforehand, asked questions, was very realistic that this is SURGERY (no you will not be back at work in a "few days" more like 3 weeks)and I did everything that they instructed me to do. For those of you had a good outcome, I am very glad for you. I wish I was oneof you. I am just posting this to inform people that are considering this procedure that if you do have a problem it will not be addressed properly!!!!!

I had a Life Style Lift in January 2008. My complaint is not against the Doctor. I believe him to be competent and qualified. My complaint is against the company itself for it's BLATANTLY FALSE ADVERTISING and MANIPULATIVE SALES TECHNIQUES. The procedure is NOTHING as it is described. I NEVER would have had this done to myself. They make it out to be simple, quick and easy...return to work the next day, even go out to lunch afterward. It is painful, grueling, traumatic and the recovery time, swelling, bruising and scars are FAR WORSE than ANYTHING they sell to the women who buy this procedure.

My procedure was done on Jan 12th 2007. It was not as simple as they said it would be and it was a very painful procedure with the technician there continuing to inject me with more novacaine because not enough was injected the first time. The smell of burning flesh made me sick to my stomach. It was not a simple 1 hour procedure, actually he took less then that, I felt like a drive through customers. I was packed and wrapped and sent home to take pain pills. I got sick to my stomach from the pain radiating from my face. I was unable to do anything throughout the entire weekend so when they said back to your normal life the next day they lied. I couldn't even go outside I looked like a crash victim. I am scarred to an extent that I can only wear my hair down, I am so off balanced I can not wear ear rings any longer because my ears are lop sided. My ear lobes are melted to the side of my face. I went back to them to complain about this and the one doctor asked me "well what do you want me to do about it" and he proceeded to tell me to go back to the doctor that did the surgery. I found out later on that this doctor was actually a Ears, Nose and Throat specialist and under my CIGNA insurance. He was not a plastic surgeon. I am so scarred and off balance and the surgery did not do one bit of difference. I am going to another plastic surgeon. (This is how I found out that the doc that did me was in another specialty field) He knew who he gave me a run down of what they did to me. My right ear is so low its by my jawline and my left ear is so far back its not aligned with my ear canal and just think the doctor that did my procedure is a Ear Nose and Throat specialist, I would hate to see what he is doing to his patients now. Costing me over 8000.00 to repair what LSL did to me and then get he procedure done the correct way this time. They just kept chasing me away when I went to them and now I have to resort to trying to find someone to fix it and go through recovery all over again. Dont get this done its really a horrible procedure. You will only get disfigured.

I was sucked into the high pitched LSL procedure. That's exactly what I was told..it's a 1"scar in the front folds of the ear 'procedure'. What I got was a lower facelift& didn't know it til the next day when I saw how large the scars were. I am 21 mos. post surgery& still having terrible pain. I can't wear high neck blouses, sleep on either side or have my coat touch my earlobes w/o pain. I was also giver 'pixie ears'. When all healing was done& bandages were off, I noticed my earlobes were sewed down& into my face. Upon telling the Dr, his response was to' Make another appt& we will do a revisional surgery'. When I asked if they'd just loosen the earlobe , he said "no, it's too dangerous, we have to redo the whole thing"& will sew your right ear like the other one. The right ear is a pixie ear, but not as noticeable as the left. He was perturbed at me for even being upset& at one point he rolled his eyes! This same Dr told me a few times he was a certified plastic surgeon. Their website says they do thorough 'background checks' on all dr's. Had they done that, they'd have known this Dr was let go of a major hospital& his licence was on probation for one year! I have gone back there several times trying to get my medical records to see what was done to me since I was only told they's put a small incision in the fron folds, cut off the excess& be done. It was supposed to be an hr. procedure. It was over 2 hrs. They never applied pressure bandages for the swelling& I basically was told that my nerves& the pain& sensations I was experiencing was normal& could last a yr or more. I did all aftercare by the book. I ended up having to pay again out of pocket for a real plastic surgeon to see me& he thought my greater auricular nerve was ionjured or cut& that every P.S knows to stay away from that nerve. I have choking sensations, earlobe& temple pain, back of the ear discharge still& pain. Everytime I call, the Dr is always in surgery. The real plastic surgeon said not to have the revisional surgery& see a neurologist& told me he can't help me. I called 5 other P.S' s & all heard LSL& wouldn't see me. The neurologist put me on horrific meds that made my eyes so sleepy, but when I tried to sleep, I never could. It didn't agree w/ me at all. I was advised by 'we care @ [] to see the plastic surgeon that practices there approx. once a month, but as a courtesy, see the Dr that did this to me. The appts were over a month apart. Everytime I had an appt w/ the Dr that did it, he was always late& I was cancelled, so my appt w/ the other Dr finally came. The office manager came in the room& I started off w/ where my pain was, etc. When I mentioned my pain also in the temples, he clearly stated,"That's impossible, we don't go into the temples". To that Dr's surprise, the office manager blurted out that the Dr who did me does go into the temple& he was SHOCKED. He reccommended also seeing a neurologist& let him know & he himself would do the surgery. The neurolist said no, we don't even know what they did. I have another appt coming up w/ her. What upsets me the most is the total disregard they have for the patient, never keeping logs of our calls& never returning our calls. Basically I never got followup care. When I went in to get my medical records, I was shown my file& there was a small page that had 2 calls logged in from me, no emails, no appts, other calls, discontent, disappointment, pleas for the Dr to call, etc. I am left w/ p[iixie ears, severe pain. stitches growing out of the back of my ear& temple& no Dr wanting to help me at all. They also stated when I went for my records that they's have to charge me $25.00 for the records& allow the Dr to review them& send it to LEGAL to review, back to the DR & to me. I got a couple fudged pages& I know this cause I saw my file. I also saw the internal memo to employess on what to do if patients ask to see their records. They violated my Hippaa Law on 2 occassions& I never got the 2nd dr that works there report. I am treated like a nuisance when I walk in& I resent that. I need to find out what was done to get help& they are denying me proper medical help. I have been waiting since the 1st week of Nov. for the reports.. They got their money& thats all they care about. Too bad we are left to suffer, w no-one to help us. I didn't do this because it was so affordable, I did it cause of the small incisions, the endorsements they show from the TV stations, that give a false sense of security& cause I felt he was a cert. Plastic surgeon& it was easy. Go back to work the next day, they said, one hr procedure, little pain, eat the next day. Heck, I couldn't open my mouth for 5 days, ate from a straw, then a spoon. I know some ppl are happy, but many many are disfigured& in alot of pain. I can't imagine going thru this again. I wasn't told i'd hear the clipping of skin, smell the burning flesh, etc. They treat their practice as a business& I believe it's against the law. Anyway this is a short version of my story& I hope it helps. God Bless

My story is much like many of the others. I, too, went in for a consultation for a LSL (June 2005)and I too, had some "bimbo" pull my face back and show me in a mirror what I would look like after the procedure. She also suggested that I have my eyes done, too. I was told that my jowls would be done and, in the process, they would also be tightening the SMAS muscles in my neck to get rid of the turkey neck appearance and loose kin. First, I would like to say to people who say we did not do our homework before having the procedure, and thus the reason for our unfavorable results, is that LSL did not do their homework. They were negligent in that fact that they informed me that I was a good candidate for the procedure when, in fact, I was not. They take advantage of everyone that walks through their door by telling them that the procedure is "perfect for them" and that they are a perfect candidate. NOT TRUE!!!! As I have come to find out. The FIRST procedure was not all that bad, although there was no way I could have gone back to work in 24 or 48 hours - in fact, I work from home and I still was unable to work for at least five days. I looked very good for the first month or so, but as the swelling slowly subsided I began to look more and more like I never had anything done. I waited about 8 months and contacted LSL and reported my dissatisfaction with the procedure. I went back in for a second consultation where they did agree to "redo" the procedure, but told me I probably wouldn't see much of a difference in results - Now why is that? The first time I went in for the LSL consultation, they told me I would have terrific results. Now, the second time, they are telling me I probably wouldn't see much in the way of results. I did ask the nurse/assistant at the time of my second consultation why my results weren't like those they advertised all over TV and in their brochures and she actually said to me "Well, of course, we are only going to advertise only those who have had successful results." Obviously I didn't because you won't see me in any of their advertisements. In any event, reluctantly, I went through the procedure the second time (different doctor, first doctor was no longer with LSL) and to my dismay it was the worst thing I ever underwent in my life. During the first procedure I was adequately sedated and didn't feel much of anything. During the second procedure, however, I felt every one of the what felt like 200 numbing injections they gave me. I actually was considering getting up and walking out and not having the procedure completed - the pain was unbearable. So, here we are, two years after the initial LSL procedure (which would last 8 to 10 years) and I look exactly like I looked prior to the procedure. The problem with the LSL is they will perform the procedure on any person that walks through their door. After TWO LSL's I can guarantee with you 100% certainty I can call and make another consultation appointment with them, and they would recommend that I have a LSL and, would have great results and be an excellent candidate. I just recently consulted with another plastic surgeon who actually told me that the LSL was not for everyone and that the procedure I really needed, for the results I wanted, would run about $8400.

Lifestyle Lift, national company with offices in major cities. I had a neck & face lift in Sept 07...after the swelling was gone so was the face lift. This company uses moonlighting doctors, no nurses and is like a assembly line....you are awake during the procedure. Sales tactics are the same as used car dealers, discount if you sign up now. They are on all networks advertising their procedure. False advertisement, lunch hour procedure, no down time, etc. While researching, I found a website with horror stories from other Lifestyle Lift customers, from disfigurements to no results. Of course I am a unhappy patient and have made 2 office visits and met with the doctor to discuss my concerns...dismissed me saying "you look great". Since the procedure, I have met with 2 plastic surgeons for a consult and they were shocked with Lifestyle Lift's dangerous medical practice procedures. No pre-opt test, you can have high blood pressure, smoke, etc. and they will do the procedure. The Texas Medical Board has opened a investigation to look into this business, they are a national company and someone should take the lead to stop them before someone dies during this procedure. I have been interviewed by a local news station with will air next month. Please feel free to contact me for more information. Thanks in advance, Sharron []

I had my Lifestyle lift on March 19 th 2007. The procedure itself took about an hour. A pressure dressing was applied, which I certainly could not have gone out in public with. It was large and very bulky. The pain was controllable with the prescription the doctor provided (Avocet). I did not have a problem with drainage or infection. The scars are barely noticeable. The numbness took about 9 months to go away. After about a month I felt comfortable to go out in public, my swelling subsided, and I wore small band aids at my scars. I mainly got the lift to handle slight sagging at the jaw line. Well the slight sagging at the jaw is gone. But I was left with sagging at either side of my mouth. One side worst than the other. I have been asked by acquaintances if I had a stroke... I would not recommend anyone have this procedure.

I had surgery on January 24th, 2007. It has been 1 almost year from date of surgery and there is no change in my appearance. As of this time no one has noticed the changes because the changes are un noticeable. I strongly feel that the procedure is very misleading and there was no mention of the length of recovery time. We had no idea that there would be a long and painful time to recover. She could not exercise for six weeks and that in turn lead her to gain weight furthering the turmoil that was this surgery. The price for this misleading and extended recovery procedure was $4200 of which would have been better spent toward real plastic surgery. There is a scar on her chin from the lipo that never disappeared and she is still experiencing pain in the incision areas. I am very dissatisfied with the whole process and results. They sell you a bill of goods and mislead you into thinking that you will out and about in a matter of days with immediate results. Its not fair, my mental state is very distraught at this point and I have no results from this surgery. When I questioned the doctor he told me my expectations where to high and I should lose some weight.

Nothing ended up being as represented, and the he entire consulatation experience was one of basic high-pessure, used-car salesman tactics. They pressure the "candidate" with lots of fast talk-- "this offer is only good today," "I'm going to be doing this soon myself," their infomercial replete with happy patients runs in an endless loop in every room, special financing is arranged which ends up being nothing like what was discussed (0% for 3 months, 9.9% thereafter promised; actual rate--23% from day 1), the "board certified" surgeon I was told would be doing the surgery was--and still is--actually board ELIGIBLE--HUGE difference, and one to which I would never have agreed as I know the difference, recovery time was massively longer and more painful than depicted, after-care was abysmal and dismissive, THREE attempts to stitch my earlobe back to my face were a failure--it still is hanging and painful, scars are excessive and very apparent, cutting placement on one procedure has resulted in an appearance of deformity, nothing addressed that there could be permanent numbness and pain, there's a great lack of symmetry of procedures done on each side of the face, etc., etc., etc. During the procedure, I became so uncomfortable with the process that I actually wanted to get up in the middle of it and discontinue, but the cutting had already been done and it was too late. After all that, results were minimum, and the only observations from people afterward were negative. I even told the surgeon that hearing, "You look tired," was not what I was going for. In all, at minimum I feel mutilated and defrauded. This was a very expensive procedure which increased dramatically with the exorbitant interest rate, and I now needs corrective follow-up care which I cannot afford. Their commercials air constantly, and the more I seem them the angrier I get. They need to be widely investigated. Granted, there are happy patients; but it is readily apparent that these people were selected because they had far more dramatic need for procedures than the average "suitable candidate" and that they received absolute premium surgeons and care for the specific purpose of promotional advancement.

They never mentioned in their advertising, literature, or at the consult and surgey date that this is a lower FACELIFT. I would have never consented to this and guess what...my lawyer reviewed my records and said I never did consent to this. They ignored me when I called them and questioned this whole process. They actually tried to get me to go back to the hack that did this. I refused and made an appointment with a board certified doctor. At that consent which was 5 months later I was informed I had a facelift. I was shocked and started crying. The doctor also told me that while examining me that there is NO WAY LSL could have delivered the results promised because of the postioning of the scars. He told me he fix's this procedure "ALL WEEK LONG" and said he can fix me, to some extent, for $16,500. I have pixie ear deformity, which is the sign of a bad facelift, keloid scarring, pain in both ears so severe I cannot sleep on them and nothing happened to that bit of lax skin on my neck. The office in Manhattan never was on time for any appointments, ,they just jammed people in there with no respect and no regard for their time. no apologies. I chose the Lifestyle lift because they convinced me I was a good candidate and that it was 'safer' No one noticed my 'facelift' except for my unnecessary, dramatic scars. My friend who had a facelift, the traditional type the same month, has undetectable scars. The doctor didn't make any attempts to hide them as I requested. as for the extent of the proceedure, I needed more and they were not honest with me. I was beyond disappointed with this 'result' I think they take anyone who has money in their hand. It was a total waste of money, and I am too traumatized to have my facelift redone, even though my friends were so upset they have offered to PAY FOR IT with a reputable plastic surgeon. ( I paid $ 7400, my friend had a fabulous successful proceedure with a bonafide plastic surgeon for $ 9800) The proceedure was noisy..I heard my skin cutting off.. they convinced me the 'general anesthesia was so unsafe" I didn't research it, and found later that traditional full facelifts do a type of general anesthesia, but not the the type of anesthesia that Lifestyle lift was saying.. to frighten people. In fact the injection on my arm that they gave me, which was so painful, blew up into huge hot swelling and I have photos of bruises 10 inches long. To turn this nasty, disappointing situation into a virtual nightmare, they ruined my eyes. I have been to numerous doctors since, to try to recover my pleasing almond shaped eyes.. which are now smaller, and round. I have been told over and over that they 'took too much skin" and no one can help me. what happened is, immediately after the surgery I developed ectopia .. over the phone they told me, that what I was describing was normal.. well, when I got to them after the weekend, they were trying to supress their shock as I'd developed ectopia, a result of a bad eyejob ( as I have heard form many doctors) and had to go on steroids and massage my poor eyes.to avoid a corrective surgery This condition is dangerous..your eye appears to be 'hanging out' and can in some cases cause blindness. I should have started a lawsuit. This continues.. since I was so upset with my eyes which now seem more light sensitive, that I found myself wearing sunglasses all the time. I am told that this is why I subsequently had a fall ( In a dimly lit area) ... and I had an injury which caused pain for a year.. and has now required surgery and hospital time, and I am now in Europe recovering. I think this proceedure is good for a tiny fragment of the population and is an ancient technique, not a new one. and they should be ashamed. Very very ashamed...and possibly deeply investigated

I scheduled a lifestyle lift procedure several weeks ago for the procedure to occur 12/13/07. I went to the free consultation and also the pre-appt. with the Doctor who was going to do the procedure. At 10 am on 12/13/07 I was called and told that my procedure was canceled (my procedure was scheduled for 1 pm and I was suppose to be in the office at noon). My husband and I had taken the day off and were getting ready to leave my house to drive to the appt. There was an obvious mix up in the scheduling and they tried to tell me that I could have the procedure done the following week. I explained that I could not take off next week also. They then tried to schedule me for today with a different doctor and wanted me to come in to meet the different doctor. I explained that I felt that I was being lied to and that this was not acceptable. I told them that I wanted a full refund. They explained that the refund would have to go through their corporate office and couldn't occur for 5 - 7 working days. I checked with my credit card compay and found that they had already charged my card the full amount. When I called the office manager back she simply stated that there was nothing she could do.

2 years ago I had the lifestyle lift and optional liposuction. I was told I was an EXCELLENT candidate because of the condition of my skin, muscles etc. At that time they still advertised it as 'the lunch time lift' and that you could return to work the NEXT DAY. Well, it was 3 weeks before I could leave the house with enough makeup on to cover up the bruising and use my hair to cover the hideous swelling still around my ears. Only after the procedure was I given the follow up care instructions where I learned about the ice packs, bandages around your head all night long for 30 days or more (I cracked two teeth from this). My sedation consisted of 1 10 mg Valium pill, given to me less than 5 minutes before they began the numerous facial injections of lidocaine or whatever they were using. They used so many injections that my arms and hands started shaking which they said was normal. After 1 hour of misery, when I asked for additional valium (which they promised I could have if I needed it), they poo-pooed my anxiety and wouldn't give me another pill. The procedure took about 2 and 1/2 hours. That is a long time to be miserable and anxious. The shots hurt, the sounds and smells were hideous, and I was certainly NOT RELAXED, OR COMFORTABLE. BUT - I was still optimistic that I would be happy with my results and it would all be worth it in the end. Over the next week I called 5 times about excessive and painful swelling - they told me it was normal, until the 7th day, when I got into the office to get stitches removed and they found I had cellulitis - a serious infection. The hideous swelling caused abnormal healing and I will forever have lumps around my ears. They kept promising my looks would improve, and that if they didn't they would redo my procedure. My results (which are non existant) never materialized, I went back for 4 follow ups in 13 months, (which is almost impossible to get in to see the doctor ever again) only to get told each time to wait a few more months to see the real results, and then at the last visit was told I needed another procedure that the doctor could do for me at his private practice, but that lifestyle lift would not give me any improvement. 2 years later, I am out over $4,200, 3 lost weeks of work, I still get shooting pains around my ears and have lumps under the skin in front of my ears, and large lumps behind my ear that look like I have tumors or something. In comparing before and after pictures from lifestyle lift and my own home photographs - I literally have almost zero change - even with the extra lipo. I still have 'jowls', "puppet lines" around my face and nose. I am so sad, and so disappointed. I really feel stupid that I let them rip me off the way they did. Honestly, I don't know if I would have really wanted them to 'redo' my procedure. I no longer trust the competence of their doctors. But I am so ashamed that I suffered so much misery and have no results for my suffering. In addition to my horrifying experience with the lifestyle lift, my husband had been talked into putting down a deposit for his lift at the same time I did, with numerous promises that he could get it refunded ANYTIME, if he changed his mind, no problems with refunds, so don't worry. His procedure was scheduled for 1 month after mine. Once we saw how poorly my procedure went, and how horrible the so called after care is, he decided to cancel his surgical appointment, the promised refund NEVER CAME, the 'office manager' that sold him the procedure had left the company, and no one wanted to talk to him at all. Finally they just flat out refused him a refund saying he had to cancel within 72 hours of making the initial deposit. Great business practice. Someone on the 'defense of lifestyle lift' page wrote that you get at least 4 follow ups - THAT IS NOT TRUE, at least not in the Washington DC Reston office - They give you a call after 24 hours, that is not a follow up visit, then you get a visit at 1 week for stitch removal - that is done by an assistant NOT THE DR. and you get your photo, and that is the end of visits and follow up care. I had to beg to get an additional follow up visit because of pain and swelling. Because of my persistance I finally got a follow up at 4 months, and was told to wait 2 more months, at that time I was told to wait until the 1 year mark to see my results, and at the one year visit, I was told I should have a different procedure entirely. BUT - I ONLY got these additional follow ups because of my dogged persistence in pursuing lifestyle lift. I am in my late 40's and fit, but have droopy jowls that run in my family that I was PROMISED would be easily fixed by the lifestyle lift.

Like so many others, I thought a LifeStyle Lift was just what I needed to smoothe out my neckline. Anyone who believes he commercials is crazy or stupid. I knew that any surgery is very serious and no one was "going out to lunch with the girls" after they cut and stitch your face! Bandaged up like a car wreck victim you leave with instructions to put ice on the swelling and sleep sitting up. After a week, you may put on makeup to cover the bruising. No one mentions the horrible tightness that in my face not only removed the loose skin but stretched normal skin so tightly that now, after a year, the sagging is back. Money thrown out!
However, my real complaint is nto the horror and pain of the healing but that I now have, for the rest of my life, a RINGING in my ears! Obviously, a small nerve was damaged or cut during surgery and NOTHING can be done to fix it! I contacted the American Tinnitus Association and they said any head trauma, including and especially surgery, could cause the ringing by damaging a tiny nerve. My doctor, a woman in South Florida, talked office gossip with her assistant throughout my surgery and at the time I had a bad feeling that she was not paying attention. Obviously! Anyone considering this surgery, talk to previous patients. Check your doctors credentials and experience and read the contract slowly and carefully. Do NOT let anyone push you into something you are unsure about. Surgery is never a "quickie" solution so do your homework.

I had the Lifestyle Lift on Jan 3, 2007. I am 49 years old and also saw the infomercials and an accquantance had it done and recommended me to the Houston office. My sister and I went for the consultation and like everyone else, I was a great candidate. I would have the lift, lower eyelids and lipo for the jowls and this would all correct my double chin as well. I was estatic and the staff was so nice and attentive. I arrived for my procedure and all was going well until half way through, the Dr had to leave me for a consultation with another patient that wanted to have the procedure that day. Finally after leaving me for at least 30 minutes he returned to finish my procedure. I was in the chair for at least 3 hours. I too left out the back door with bloody bandages and swollen eyes and face (to be expected) But, as for returning back to normal activity? No way, I wouldn't dare leave my house for at least 7 days. The bandages were around my head for 7days 24 hours and had to sleep in the bandage for 1 month. My follow up consisted of removing my stitches by an assistant that told me they had already healed over within 6 days and they would not need to see me again and everything was fine. I was very happy for the first few weeks (you still have some swelling) Everything looked tight and I was very excited with my new look. However, after about 2 months and all the swelling is over, everything returns!! But, now you have scarring that will never go away.. It is now Dec 07 and I still have numbness, one ear lobe is tacked down and very uncomfortable. My scars around my ears and behind are really stretched. The scars under my eyes are very visible. I met another woman the other day and we were talking about the procedure and I learned she had it done by the same Dr a year earlier than mine and she had the same exact complaints that I did. We would NEVER recommend this to anyone!!!! As for the woman that recommended me, she now has a lawsuit against them because hers turned for the worse after she had recommended me. That is 3 out of 3!!!!
