This guy Matthew Lasko is some piece of work. I owned a .com software company for years at softwaresellers.com and this guy somehow snatched it up from me a week before it was actually supposed to expire. So I had to start using softwaresellers.net. He does not, nor has he ever used the domain to do anything other than cybersquat on my business name and point the domain name to his freemoney.com website. If you look on Sedo, he has the domain listed for sale. He listed it there after I contacted him about stealing it from me. He told me tough luck and that I could purchase it from him for a fair price of $8000..... $8000!!!! This guy is a crook in every sense. He not only rips people off with his phoney info in his books, but he is purposely harming other people's businesses using not-so-kosher methods in order to make a buck. Anyone giving this guy their money is a FOOL. I am currently in the process of filing a civil suit against him in hopes of getting my domain back and teaching this guy a lesson when he has to pay me for lost wages as a result of stealing my domain and holding it for ransom. Matthew Lesko is a FRAUD and a CROOK. Plain and simple. I have all the proof anyone could ask for to show that he ripped me off.

I too bought a copy of Mr. Lesko book only to be very disappointed. I wanted to see if I could get a grant so that I could get several books I have planned to publish plus another project to start a business. What I found in Lesko's book was useless. The information is out dated and it is'nt very useful in getting specific information on grants or free money as he cames for personal projects. Mr. Lesko and is books play with the dreams and hopes of honest individuals who simply want to improve their lives and need help getting their dreams and hopes achieved. Mr. Lesko needs tto stop or there should be a suit against him to make him stop. Its so unkind to play on the hopes of others.

Just like everyone else that was looking to help themselves by looking into gov.grants. I to was taken by lesko and his upbeat attitude about the government holding out. I sent my $40 in by credit card, to get a grant book and recieved nothing, and when I tried to contact them they could'nt be reached. I was angry of course but thankful it was only a small amount, but then I started thinking, man this guy is getting over if everyone is sending in $40 bucks a pop. It's time to build a classaction lawsuit against this theif. He's sitting back in his (ridler suit) laughing and saying riddle me this "How many fools can I get on one line".

I read a few of the FREE Money books from Matthew Lesko and after going through them I figures out that if you are a Straight white guy that has not been in prison. There is very little in them for you. Most of the books are outdated and useless information!!!

I ordered this program because I was trying to assist myself and many others as far helping myself improve my financial well being as well as help other under priveledged people such as people who were or are currently having problems with just being able to feed themselves and their families right here in america.as well as find adequate housing if they are too homeless and starving literally as I am was just looking for a way to help myself and as many people that I could along the way.I was never sent the books I ordered and never once did I receive a dime of my money back.no-one returned my calls or ever called be back to assist me with these issues. a friend of mine ordered mathew leskos book she said their wasn't any updated information she could use at all in this big entire book.and she tried to get het money back and to no avail their number and address changed. she and I both would like to file a class action lawsuit against this conartist.and ripoff guru. I REALLY HOPE THIS JERK HAS TO PAY ALL OF US I MONEY BACK PLUS EMOTIONAL DISTRESS

I bought Matthew Lesko's book and once I got it, I looked through it and it is filled with all kinds of useless information on how to get grants. The problem is that some of these Grants do not even exist anymore, I do not know when he last updated his book. I checked out some of the Grant Opportunities through my Congressmen and Senators and was told that the information in his book was wrong and not just anyone could qualify for the Grants. The bad thing about is that Lesko is laughing all the way to the bank while people who are disabled like I am or who are in a financial bind and are looking for help get taken advantage of. I think there should be a class action law suit started against him and he should have to make restitution to all the people he has taken advantage of and he should be under Court Order not to write or produce any books of this nature again.

I purchased a group of 4 of his books from []. Specifically for women. $44.00 for the 4 of them. Not one thing in those books panned out. Most were outdated and the numbers were disconnected. [] would not take them back and neither would Andrew Leskow. I got info on the internet about his office and its location. Sent the books back more than 6 months ago demanding a refund...never got one. This joker must be laughing all the way to the bank. Save your cash.

8/12/2007 - Mark writes:
This was a useless book. all of the information is free on the internet. I had found most of this info before I ordered the book. If I had known, I would have saved myself 40 dollars.

I am on disability and have a shortage of funds, however I can't qualify for "government givaway help programs" because my disability is too high (not enough to live on but too high to get help). I saw his infomercial and thought,"Wow, I can finally get the help my family needs!" Lesko took my money, sent me the most useless book-in my opinion-and made all these promises about being able to get help, "even if you are a millionaire". Bull! It took me over six months to get my $80.00 back and I never once found a "program" that I could get help from. Don't waste your money. Go to the library and do your own research.

Matthew Lesko seemed friendly enough, and his infomercial had me thoroughly convinced that the govt was holding out. When I began to read the book, I came to page that made my stomach knot up...it said something to the effect of (it's been about 3 yrs now since i've thrown that trash out) he has told a white lie. as I proceeded to go thru the book, my anger grew as I realized I spent $40 on a book for information that's readily available online, or in the yellow pages. He compiled a book of public agencies such as Social Service, Unemployment offices etc. I thank God, I was not able to have that man's neck in my hands. I was lead to this site, because after years of the infomercial being off the air, I see it's airing late at night again. The devil is a liar!!

Bought his book several years ago. There is nothing in the book that you cannot find for free on the internet. Most of the information in the book is out of date with telephone numbers that no longer work. To get any of the "Free Money" you should go on umemployment or have 12 kids, a single mom with a disability and perhaps earn minimum wage. You can make some money by not ordering the book.

These books are useless unless you live in a cardboard box and have a household income of $35,000 or less with a family of 4. I found numerous typos and incorrect listings. I guess they believe their disclaimer in the front of the book that the information is already out of date on the day of printing is enough to cover themselves. All the information I found in the book is public information and meant more for people that are already on some sort of public assistance. I am thankful that I purchased these used. What a waste of paper!!!

1/25/2007 - Kevin writes:
I bought these books a while ago. The infomercial made it sound like the government has secret programs giving away more money than there's gold in Fort Knox. Well... if you want to quit working and go on public assistance you could qualify for some of the programs. I figured out that by keeping your job you could get more money than the programs offer. I chalked it up to a little lost money on a poorly written work of fiction.

8/7/2006 - Bambi writes:
Do Not Buy These Books. Everything listed in them is public information. Most libraries have copies on hand anyway. Even the piddly little library in my old town had a copy and there was very little info in the books that were useful. Some of the addresses and phone numbers were even out of use.

I bought Lesko's books several years ago. When ordering the books, I was told over the phone that I had to also order the tapes to go a long with the books. Well I ordered the tapes and found out when I did receive the book and tapes that they were basically telling you the same thing as the book. The book itelf offered no information that a person couldn't find out at the library or thru the pamplets offered by the goverment in Pueblo, Colorado. Being 100% disabled by the Veteran's Administration, this was very hard earned money to take away from my family to buy these materials hoping to make a better life for us. There should be a law about these con men ripping the public off. The TV stations should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this. They too will do anything for money.

4/30/2006 - Jim writes:
Ditto everyone else, just a waste of time and money, I got it [], so no problem there, just the same there isn't a single usable page for 99% of the people who buy it.Lesko is rich you are out your cash. It is really a shame that television stations allow this scam and others to be run knowing they are rip offs. I really like those stations that have a consumer investigator on their news shows, then accept money from these scams an hour later

I had always suspected that a large majority of what Matthew 'The Riddler' Lesko sells is complete and total bollocks. Seeing as I am one who rarely orders ANYTHING from late night TV or the internet (ok, Im guilty- I did sign up for Time Life 70s AM GOLD, and they are great; and I did buy several of the Laugh-In DVDs, also great) and seeing as I am normally a rather suspicious person, I had a lot of doubts about the claims in Lesko's books. However, I was delighted to find that copies of ALL his books where available at several branches of my local public library, all but the newest two where available for 10 day checkout. Even better, I started perusing the selections at various local used bookstores, and I was able to find several of Lesko's books. I traded used books I had for credit, and was able to get Lesko's latest snake oil cure for $10 in credit. As I had suspected, it was full of info that I already knew. This is info anyone can find out easy and free by simply visiting or calling the welfare office, HUD, the job service, social security, the neighborhood action program office, a veterans service office, or a local charity office. I already knew the supposedly 'secret' info Lesko presents, and more. Being a person that is partially physically disabled and was out of work for 3 years (due to an injury) I had participated in a number of the programs Lesko describes. Programs such as job retraining and placement, SSI, Medicaid, food stamps, and energy assistance. I even went through 4 years of college for free at Uncle Sam's expense, thanks to the US Dept of education's free financial aid for students. However, Lesko wasnt the first person to tell me about these programs. Any graduating high school student knows about financial aid, any poor person knows about welfare. Its a real shame that this man preys on the unfortunate and the impoverished, as its obvious these books are designed for people too poor, uneducated or naive to realize its a scam. I found it even more interesting that in his latest manic outburst on late night TV, Lesko claims to have a 100% satisfaction rating with customers, and that he has never had a single complaint lodged against him with the BBB or a government agency. Yet, I have seen numerous reports online about him being investigated by the FTC, the FCC, the BBB and even various local news stations. Any one who wants to read these books full of obvious, already well known 'secrets' should save themselves the money, and just check out the book from the library, or get it from a used book store.

Lesko's books are USELESS. All the information contained in them can be found FREE just by going to the US gov's website, your state website or the local library. Much of the freebees he tells you about can be obtained from the US Gov Printing office in Pueblo, Colorado, and a good search engine on the internet will find everything else too. Remember, there's no such thing as a free lunch, despite how convincing Mr. Lesko's ads may be. He make ac like a clown in his commercials, but he's a rich clown at our expense

I bought the book and while I am suggesting that it is a rip-off, if you are a male and white, the book is totally useless.   It is based on government programs for the poor and minorities.  But then again, aren't ALL government programs?

11/23/2005 - Bryan writes:
well, i aquired his book for free. i read some of the nonsense and found out california was not in this book. i found programs for other states but not california. most of the info was useless and sounded like a rip-off to me so i put the book down and read Harry Potter instead
