My complaint is NOT w/ the book. It is w/ the scam of the hidden EXTRA charges! I was so disappointed (and frustrated) when I had called in to order the book from seeing it on TV. First of all the lady that I had to speak to could barely speak English - and hey, I'm not talking "broken English" I literally mean she could hardley speak English! Obviously, she was reading a script. I had to ask her to repeat everything she just said. Then she kept talking about other offers & this & that and I had to get firm w/ her & say "NO! I just want the book! Well, that didnt stop her. I totally said I dont want ANYTHING else & come to find out today ( 3 months later)there was a $5.95 fee charged to my freakin credit card!!For each month since I had ordered the book. I called my CC comp & asked what it was for & they said "Natural Cures" I about hit the roof! I called Natural Cures spoke to a guy that was not American but at least he could speak English 5 times better than the other rep. He said it was for the Newsletter - I told him I didnt authorize that & to take it off my account immediately & I wanted to be refunded. He kept saying he would have to call me back once he had listed to the recording from when I placed the order. I said absolutely not Im staying on the line till this is resolved. Well after all that I got a Conf# that it would be credited back to my accout & that my info was deleted fromtheir system! Dont order these books! Find them at a store or at least some website like [] that wont scam you.

I ordered the Losing Weight Book where you can get his other books free. I called and they tried to sell me everything under the sun!
I've been charged for the book but haven't received it yet. I've ordered other items later than this order and received every single thing, except for this book..which I now regret ordering. Today I received a letter that I can get secrets to wealth and happiness, etc...absolutely FREE, but I have to send in the Free-Membership Invitation Form in 3 days! Somehow they've profiled me and discovered that I am so special I should be a recipient of hidden secrets of a 2300 year old manuscript called Nouveau Tech Manuscript. I can only guess that if they suckered me into buying the book, they think I'll buy into something else, too.

I purchased this supposed miraculous weight loss book that they don't want you to know about. What he really does not want you to know is that he makes residual income off of you once you purchase the book by illegally charging your account $5.95 per month. Ok, so I see 441 people on here have filed complaints - 441 x $5.95 per month is $2624 multiply that by 12 months that is $31,487 in illegal payments to Mr. Trudeau AND THAT IS JUST FROM THOSE OF US THAT ARE COMPLAINING. I filed a complaint with the FTC and now the charges are "mysteriously" being credited back to my account.

I have this book and it is a scam. It gives hardly no valuable information I feel that I was smart because I bought it from someone [] and not the infomercial. I avoided those unwanted recurring charges that everyone else is getting from buying from the informercial. Did everyone know that before Kevin Trudeau was an expert in diseases he was an expert in making you gain a photographic memory? About 14 years ago Kevin Trudeau was selling a product called "Mega Memory". This product was supposed to train you to have a perfect photographic memory where you can remember and retain just about anything you wanted when you wanted. He claimed that by going through the "Mega Memory" program you could have a memory just like the very small portion of gifted people with perfect IQ's in the world do. I bought the "Mega Memory" program and still have the program today. Although the infomercial made it sound so good, the Mega Memory program did nothing to improve my memory. I have not seen the Mega Memory infomercial nor the product for sale for nearly 14 years now. You may want to Google "Kevin Trudeau" and "Mega Memory" to get earliet dirt on this guy before buying his products

I have placed an order called "You Get Two Free Books" for only $9.95. Of course that is the shipping and handling fee. Then on top of placing the order you are given several attempts to buy something else for as it is said FREE. Since I have placed the order I have received two more phone calls from telemarketers attempting to sell me something more for FREE. Do not believe them when they say it is only $1.95 for a free 30 day trial. It is getting to the point where nothing is for nothing. There is no such word as FREE in this world. Please do not send me any emails regarding something FREE!

I just found out this website by searching the name NAT CURES, which appered on my credit card statement with their 800 number. I have never heard of the name so never ordered or bought anything from the company. I have no idea how they stole my credit card number, but they suddenly charged $71.63 on my credit card for nothing. Now I read hundreds of posts on this website and learned the company is a scam. I just called my credit card company and closed my account to avoid any more scams by the company. My credit company is sending me a dispute form. I will report what is happening here when I get any update.

To all who get scammed: The first thing to do is to call your credit card company and dispute the charge...you have 30 days. I wish I had known this. Kevin's people told me my refund would be within one to two billing periods. I shouldn't have listened to them. You see, by waiting this long, they don't have to refund it as the credit card companies will mainly dispute charges within thirty days. I got ripped off, they charged me for the newsletter I clearly said no to. Live and Learn, All the best to you and I hope you don't get scammed like I did.

Kevin Trudeau's book on Weight Loss Cure they Don't Want You to Know About is likely based on the 62 page study published in Italy by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons in 1971 - the report, called "Pounds and Inches" is very easy to read and is available for free on the internet. I also found on the internet several websites that seem to be connected to Trudeau and that benefit him financially contrary to what he says on his infomercial about not benefiting from the products he advocates in his book...you'll notice on the infomercial that he breaks eye contact when he says this...another indication he's lying. I contacted the company Trudeau apparently has an interest that provides the medical services andthe HCG he promotes in his book - National Medical Clinic, Inc. []. They claim to be the ONLY source for this service in the country. They require that you enroll and pay at least $700+ before you can find out how far you have to go to get a doctor associated with their program and while they promise to refund it, they only promise to do so if the doctor refuses to treat you. they will not tell you if there is a doctor in your city, your county, or your state before requiring you to give them the money, and you are not allowed to know the name or qualifications of the doctor so you cannot investigate whether the doctor is properly licensed or what trouble he might be in wtih medical authorities. They mass market their program as one where YOU mix the solution of HCG, you give yourself the injections and YOU give yourself the blood tests. There is supposedly the option to pay more and have a nurse give you the injections (but you may have to drive hundreds of miles to get to one), but in no event is there contemplation of the kind of professional oversight Dr. A.T.W. Simeons performed in his study, which actually involved observation and followup interviews with the patient and the application of medical knowledge and judgment; obviously this is where the value is....anyone can lose a pound a day on a 500 calorie diet with exercise. I have done it before without the help of any doctor. The benefit of the Dr. Simeons protocol and the HCG is not the weight loss itself, it's (1) the mobilization of the fat deposits into the bloodstream and therefore the elimination of the inaccessible fat deposits and the re-contouring of the body and (2) the benefit of eliminating the hunger from dieting. It should be noted that a near starvation diet eliminates the hunger response to a large degree as well after about 3 - 5 days and can be maintained for about 30 days. It's called "fasting" and it's older than the Bible. Is it good for you? Hell, no. For all the reasons Dr. Simeon prefers the HCG protocol...fasting doesn't distinguish between the fat that protects your heart and internal organs, the fat in those inaccessbile fat deposits you can't exercise away, and the temporary fat storeage used for energy...you CAN hurt yourself wtih simple fasting. You can end up eating up muscle tissue and the fat that protects your heart. That's why a medical professional is supposed to talk to you every day and monitor your daily weight loss, as Dr. Simeon's protocol apparently does, skipping menstration days for women, accomodating occasional mishaps in absorbption of fat from cosmetic creams and cleaners that throw off the body's HCG/calorie drain balance, accomodating diatetics/high blood pressure, etc. etc. The "protocol" provided for the fees charged (in the thousands, minimum, with you doing the mixing, the shots and the blood tests yourself) bears more resemblance to prescribing pharmaceuticals than providing medical services. The only guarantees they give you is that the HCG comes from an American company (I suppose that's so you can sue them in the US if they rip you off)...I kid you not...they do not guarantee that it is properly prepared, that it works, or even that it IS HCG. The HCG is not proprietary; the 500 calorie diet is not proprietary - in fact none of the information they give you in their so called protocol is proprietary. My perspective comes from being an attorney for 25 years including some work on deceptive trade practices affecting consumers, being a body-builder and an athlete, and a mother. I believe that Dr. Simeon's protocol works. I would be very grateful to know if anyone is ACTUALLY DOING DR. SIMEON'S PROTOCOL (rather than Kevin Trudeau's protocol) AND BY THAT I MEAN WITH TRUE PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL SUPERVISION. The way you can tell if the protocol is legitimate and if it worked for you is that (1) the doctor MUST measure before you start the program and as you go along the actual fat deposits being targeted (these are described in medical terms in Dr. Simeon's protocol, ie the 62 page report) and they are disapperaing as you lose weight (2) you should never feel hungry on the 500 calorie diet and you should lose exactly 1 lb a day steadily, except for days when you are experiencing exceptional circumstances, such as the day after your menstrual period or an intentional or accidental violation of the diet protocol occurs, (3) the other protocols are being followed (never try to lose more than about 30 lbs in a session, wait a number of weeks before the second 30 lbs, etc).
I understand that oral HCG does not work nearly as well as the injections, but that there is a website where Trudeau sells it just the same. I would like to know how to find a true medical professional that knows this protocol already and that practices it with the appropriate professionalism adn results - do I have to check into spas, doctors who work with athletes? Where do I go OTHER THAN Trudeau's "factory"? I am in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. ANGEL2010

I just saw the interview on TV. I was very interested in what he had to say and what his books were about. So before I called the number on the screen I came and looked up this name on the interent. HMMMM it doesnt seem that his books are truely reel and that people are being charge what they are not advised. But in the mean time I called the number on the screen 1 800 791 5108. It rang and then silence. So I tried some more and still got the same thing. So then as I am readying other peoples remarks some of you are wanting to find a number and complain. And then I notice this number doesnt work either. If I truely believed in the books and really wanted the TV offer I couldnt get it anyways cause the number doesnt work. SO I am going to ask my DR. and the people and Barnes and Nobles. Or other top name book stores and see what they think. BUT IN THE MEAN TIME. RESEARCH EVERYTHING BEFORE BUYING HIS BOOK. IS IT TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. thanks all. Rachelle IDAHO.

In July 2007 I ordered 2 sets of Natural Cures books and was charged $39.90 on my credit card. I never ordered anything else. This month I was charged $9.95 on my credit card again. After reading all the complaints on the infomercialscams.com website, I am afraid I have been had also. I believe the Natural Cures infomercial was aired on the ion TV channel and when I see it again, I will definitely complain to them for letting such fraud on the air.

I seem to be in the same boat as everyone else. I declined their membership offer while ordering the books (that good for nothing as I found later). Unfortunately it did not work. Upon receiving the books I have attempted to stop the Natural Cures fees of $5.99 a month from being charged to my credit card. I spoke with someone at Natural Cures sometime back and was told they would cancel my membership but they charged my CC next month. I called again the notorious customer services numbers and each time they had phone system modifications! What a scam!

On 6/29/07 I called and ordered K. Trudeau's Natural Cures book & only the book for $9.95. The rep said that I was now entitled to "free" coupons. I said that if it's "free" that's fine but didn't order anything other than the book. My debit card was charged on 6/29. I received the book approx. 3 wks. later. From the time I ordered the book I was on a daily basis bombarded by telemarketers who stated I must have ordered something recently - then it clicked, "The book". My debit card was mysteriously being charged by out-of-state and in-state companies for things I did not order. My bank had to issue me a new card! In calling the numbers on my statement they said it was a charge in response to my "orders" over the phone; i.e. "Natural Cures by Kevin Trudeau." This man takes a viable argument, then wraps it in unsubstantiated claims and then says, in effect, "you can only access it if you subscribe to my
web site(s)." OUTRAGEOUS! Stay away! If you are that curious try to get it from the library or pay cash only at a book store but keep in mind, that would be SUPPORTING THIS UNSAVORY CHARACTER!
