My mom and I both bought the nutri-system and it was awful! It tasted horrible and we couldn't stand to eat it. We also couldn't get the company to take it back. My sister decided to take mine and try it, she also couldn't stand the food. You can't lose weight if you can't stand the diet. Definetly a waste of nearly $400 for each of us!!!!!!!!!!

The products work for me. I lost 30 pounds and am back on it. The cost is reasonable especially now that food prices are skyrocketing. My problem is their website. It is very difficult to get online with them. I have accessed the site and come back an hour later and it is still attempting to connect. They need to do something to accept their internet traffic. I have to call in to delay or change an order. This only starting occurring about 6 months ago. Thanks, Marc

I signed up for the three-month program and received the one-month supply of food. which the material assured me was returnable if I was not totally satisfied. It was the most horrible tasting food I have ever tried to eat. I could not continue with it and packaged the return as instructed. I received a cancellation and return authorization. My return was made in two packages, a smaller one with a few light weight items and a huge box, the original, filled with the bulk of the shipment. It was returned, but I received credit for only the smaller return. I have made numerous attempts to get credit for the return but have been given a run-around. There is no central accounting office. I was given two different addresses to send my information to. I have provided delivery information - along with the name of the person who signed for the return, but I still have not received credit. I'm being given a hug run-around. An expensive lesson, no doubt.

I decided to try Nutri System for my own personal weight loss. Not only did the food taste horrible but it also did nothing for me. All of the sodium used as the preservatives just made me more sick. On June 10th I called and cancelled my order because I was going to try something else. On June 13th I was notified by my bank that the money was taken out of my account from Nutri System. I called the company and spoke to a guy named Jeff (he's the one who set me up to begin with) He said that he would take care of it..blah blah blah. Well, the money was put BACK into my account the next day and then taken out AGAIN on the 16th. Also on the 16th the shipment shows up at my house. So I start calling EVERY day ... three and four times leaving messages for this Jeff and never receive any response. Now my bank account is negative at this point in the story. Finally I gave up on Jeff and called and spoke to someone else named Mimi. She assured me that everything would be taken care of and that since it was THEIR fault they would not only put my money back but that they would also have the bank waive the fees that I assessed when they overdrew my account. I was told she would call my bank and then call me back. No call back. So today I call...I've been on the phone for over an hour..and am STILL currently on hold as I am typing this. No one is helping me AT ALL. They are acting as if this is my fault and not theirs. Even though I was told that it would be taken care of..fees and all. This place is a joke. I will NEVER refer anyone to this company and am contacting the Better Business B ASAP about this. DO NOT use this company..it's a scam and it's a joke and they don't care about anything other than getting your money. It's better money spend for a gym membership and healthy food from the grocery store.

I tried this product as a means to eat healthy more than to lose weight. Boy was I scammed. The food was not what I ordered and it tasted awful. And when I called to cancel my order, which should be my right, I was told that I would have to go through their process. I did that and still got no progress. The people who talk up this product on this site evidently have not had the bad experiences of the rest of us. I just wanted to eat more healthy. After my experience with this junk they call food, I know that I am better off making a plan with a dietitian. It would be much cheaper also. If you want bad tasting food that is supposed to be good for you then go ahead and order. For me I will pass.

oh i am so happy i found this site. i have been on nutrisystem for a week. and in my first box over half the food was not what i ordered. they claim they are out of stock. i worry about all the sodium i'm eating. i work in a hospital and when people see me eating a meal that has nutrisystem on it a couple have said be careful it can damage your gallbladder. i suppose it is something in the way the package the foods nothing is frozen even the meats.

I ordered Nutrisystem products for one month - I tried to cancel and they continued to send their product - all attemps to cancel have been a total frustration. I'm still being charged on my American Express bill ! Prof. Dennis M. Heath

I think you guys sound ridiculous! You guys sound like fat pigs honestly. The portions are SUPPOSED to be SMALL. They are average sized portion of what we are REALLY supposed to eat. Overeating in America has cause you all to look at the right sized portion of a meal, and break into hysterics because it's not the over-sized portion you are used to stuffing your face with! I know several people on the program as well as myself who have never been sick from this. I think your getting sick because you are OVEREATING. I have not found anywhere where they say you will need to buy other food to compliment. If you want to lose weight, then you need to learn portion control. That means you don't go out and buy MORE food because you just don't like the amount that they give you. To lose weight you need to burn at least half of the calories you take in. Did you know that??? This program is great for people who are REALLY COMMITTED to losing weight. It's got the right portion control. It's healthy. You people are half the reason a lot of people are obese. You guys look at an overfull plate and think that's the right amount. When really you should be eating half if not 1/3 of what you really eat. So if you are committed to losing weight, then I recommend this product for sure. As well as regular exercise at least 3 times a week.

I also picked only the foods I could tolerate and was send 60% of what I did not order. I returned my order via the CS directions back on March 4, 2008 and am still waiting for my refund. I am currently on hold and am being told that they will now process my refund becuase someone in their warehouse didn't log in the receipt of my items back on March 7. I have asked for interest on my refund as this is not my fault and I have now been told by 3 people that it is not possible as I should have contact them even though I have my FedEx confirmation with signature. I am trying to find out who I can speak to in Admin to get this resolved! Unbelievable - and they want to give me a $20 coupon towards my next purchase - why would I ever deal with this company again!!!!!!!!!!!

My story is the same as everyone here - I hand-picked my food items because there are certain foods I cannot eat, and I received the standard "substitution memo" along with weeks worth of food I cannot eat. After 3 days of horrible gas and nearly gagging from the food, I called CS to cancel my auto-ship. I told "Kevin" that I didn't pay extra to pick out my food to get their substitutions, and he said I could ship it back TO GET WHAT I WANT. Isn't that what I tried to do the first time? After reading everyone's stories, I'm afraid my "cancellation" will end up being bogus as well. I'm off to call my credit card company to put a block on any future charges from this company.

Hello All, I am stunned about what I hear! I have used this product for two weeks I lost 13 lbs. It is obvious that people on here are truly upset and I can see how you would be upset! The food is fat free, it is not supposed to taste like the fattening foods you have been eating all your life! The glysimic factor means out with the bad carbs in with the good carbs. It is obvious that none of you are truly dedicated to losing weight based on your complaints! They are not going to send you salad now! They make it pretty simple but do you want them to feed it to you too? Some of the food doesn’t taste great but you have to remember that which is bad for you is the fat and that is what tastes so good that every one is addicted to that will kill you. If you are not happy with the product do not toss it, put it on craigs list sell it if it is still within the sale by date! There are people out there who are committed to losing weight and will stick with NS. NS has taught me so much about myself and about eating healthy! Hope this helps.

Ladies & gentlemen!!! You'd be way better off getting your colon cleansed 3-4 times a month, eating healthier & exercising! It's a whole lot cheaper also :)

nutrisystem is an awesome product. food tastes really great. i have lost 21 pounds in 3.5 weeks and will lose a total of 60 pounds before i'm through.

My only complaint that I have is that they never show anybody who is 200 to 300 lbs. over weight. They just show people who are a little puggie.

I tried Nutri system years ago.. I have never said anything about my experience and then I came across this website. When I went to the center all they wanted to do was sell me their product...I have had Crohns disease since I was 16...I told them this and I will point out I was 127 pound at 5'6..I felt I needed to drop some weight and they sold me a "deal" for $350.. My point is that they never cared about my well being and yes the food was awful and made me very sick..I did not need to lose weight but was made to beleive that I did...I was young and very naive at the time.. I currantly would like to lose some weight now (needed!) that is what brought me to the web and I am grateful I found this website!

I ordered Nutrisystem through [] and am having a very hard time getting the items I've ordered and paid for. All in all some of the foods aren't bad but the Nutrisystem customer service people lie when incorrect items are shipped. I was told by Nutrisystem on 4/15/08 that an item had been discontinued when in fact it hadn't. I checked Nutrisystem and [] online and the item was available and a counselor even confirmed that it was available. Even [] won't help with a Nutrisystem order. So you have NO support from both fronts. Don't trust them, the items are expensive, and don't believe them when they say they care. Why would they? They are in the business of selling food just like [] and the other high priced so called diet plans or healthly eating plans. Beware and becareful if you decide to try them.

Call these offers before buying and tell them you are aware of all these complaints. You will be amazed at what they tell you!!!!! I did this for the Magic Bullet and nutrisystems and the sharpening tool and drill bit sharpener tool. They noted my call with a surprising amount of interest!

I tried Nutrisystems' vegetarian meal plan and found it lacking in variety. Food was okay but most of it has tomato sauce which gets old after a while. My biggest complaint is in cancelling the autoship. Nutrisystem boasts that you may cancel your plan at anytime before ship date of your next order. I cancelled over 2 weeks before my next ship date, received a confirmation number and was told I would not receive anything from Nutrisystems. A few days ago I received an email stating my order was being shipped. I called and was told my account was active. So I cancelled again and recevied another confirmation number and was told the package would be intercepted and at that time my credit card would not be billed. I am sitting at home working today and my doorbell rings...and...it is my Nutrisystems order. I called again and was told that UPS will send back my order. My credit card has been charged and it will take up to 5 days to receive a credit. I am very angry and this is such poor customer service.
