I bought into the scam after my 4 children watched the infomercial and encoraged me to try it. The food is all processed and tases like dog food. The marketing on how great and tasty the food is --is very dishonest, actually fraudulent. My physician recommended that I send it back and that a similar low calorie low carb diet be undertaken using fresh food from the grocery store. So I sent the food back.
They also CLAIM that they will refund you if you return the food within 30 days unopened. I spent $21.00 shipping the food back and have proof that they received it. However I have no credit for the food purchased. I am now considering a small claims action against them.

Nutrisystem food is awful. All the dinner foods taste the same with this crap tasting sauce. Everything tastes phoney - they can't even get pretzels to taste "normal". Only thing I could halfway stomach was the freeze-dried eggs and cheese cups. Pretty expensive junkie food. At least by buying it through [] I was able to cancel the auto ship without any hassles. The rest of it laying around uneaten will be thrown away.

What a con nutri systems is. First of all, the commercials are total BS. they show great looking food, pastas, chocolate, other fat, and fabulous food. I tried it, wanting to to lose 15 pounds. The food I received was unlike anything they show on television. Some of it looked like it was still alive and moving. The food is slop fit only for pigs (the four legged kind). At the end of the six week period, I weighed exactly three pounds more than when I started their dishonest program. I was smart though. Even thugh they set me for for auto ship, with automatic deductions from my credit card, I used [] Keep away from this scam.

I went into Nutisystem's web site as if I were going to order, when they asked for your charge card information I stopped right there and printed everything out, all the breakfasts, dinners, lunches and snacks, then Brian from Nutri system called me asking was I still interested because I did not finish the order by giving my charge card information, there was a reason to why I did it this way. I went a head and ordered by phone, but told Brian I had food allergies to Fruits and nuts, he also pulled up the order form of what I wanted shipped to me I was also told in the box there would be a meal planner and it would tell me how to use the products. When the box came there was 34 not 35 snacks, there was only 12 I had ordered, most of them were made of fruits that I can not eat. The peanut butter cookies were so hard I could not even bite into it so gave it to my dog, so he played around with it on the floor until I tossed it in the garbage. There was only 3 extra days and not like the 7 days for free I was told and they picked what they wanted to send me and none of it is something I would eat. For the breakfast I ordered maple oat meal but again they sent apple oatmeal and I cant eat it and they sent 9 of them !! Nine breakfasts I cant eat. The shipping order had no number on it and what they said on the order was not in the box either, I was shorted so many things when they said they sent 4 there was only 2-3 in the box. I called to complain and got Darrell on the phone and he was very defensive and told me I got what I ordered, then tellign him to go full from the computer what I ordered as I had keyed in everything and never finished my order until Brian called me, then his tune changed and he told me they were out of what I ordered and told him I could not eat anything with peanuts and fruit. BINGO! All their foods are made with peanut oil and Brian never told me this. Darrell said Brian was probably trying to make a sale, Darrell said he would have UPS pick up the box the next day, the box now sits on the front entrance way of my home now for 3 days. I hauled it back in and Im stuck with about $290.00 of things I cant eat, this morning I tried the scramble eggs and they tasted like rubber. Yet the chicken and dumplins was ok. I went to the store today to buy food and spent another $165.00 for groceries because I cant use this product.

I purchased a 5 week supply of Nutrisystem. I was excited about trying a new 'diet' and eager to drop pounds, like Dan Marino and Zora. I've read where everyone thought the food sucked. It wasn't great by any means, but I thought most food was tolerable and after a few days, the food was looked forward to (choosing the right foods is the key). I found I was eating SO much food (veggies, salads, fruits) I wasn't hungry at all, and really thought that I was constantly eating. After 4 weeks, I lost 8 pounds. It didn't seem like enough to make me want to continue this regimine. The cost is very high, the 'personal' service sucks and the results may not be what you expect. However, it will teach you what you can eat and what you can't, and you can't learn to lose weight on your own.

I order nutrisystem also wowo the food is terrible , you cannt even eat it any longer, I got pain in my stomach and I also vomit the foods, Too much junks in there foods, true you have to ad so much in your daily diet that this cost you more to pay and you dont even feel that you are losing, but that they are cheating on you., We have to sue the company i am going to do to so,

Nutri/System is the worse company I EVER dealt with. Plain and simple the food is nasty and trying to prepare is not any easy task. When I received my first only two or three things where actually what I ordered, half of the items where vegitarian things, when I called CS to complain they told me they have NO control over what I do or do not receive (I was shocked) I told them it was absurd and to cancel my account. Well two auto-delivery orders later I still haven't recieved one credit on my CC and just today I called again and they keep telling me they never recived my first returned shipment I sent back certified mail (i know they recieved it I tracked the confirmation # which confirms they got it) and not to mention the CS people are all rude either they hang-up on after you've gone through your speal about three times before them or they disconnect on purpose. Think twice before getting involed this these scammers.

I found the food, well, Yucky! I can't believe how they go on and on about how good it tastes. For example I love tuna, so I thought the tuna packets would be a great convenience for taking to work. Oh my gosh, it was so disgusting I had to throw it away after the second bite. The chocolate cake was like a brick; not at all like the infomercial shows. I think you are better off without Nutri System prepackaged foods... There where so many things in the ingredients that I couldn't pronounce. I was not sure what I was eating. There was not one meal that tasted good or was satisfying to me. You could spend way less by shopping the frozen food isle if you wanted prepackaged diet food; and it tastes better too!!!

I bought the over 40 plan for men and women. My husband and I hated the food. It was not eatable. Even the dog ( who eats everything) did not eat it. They have all these programs like for diabetics and older people, men and women, and others. If you read the list of foods for each program, they are all the same. What a scam this is. I did get a full refund including shipping charges. I suppose they try to make the customer happy, but they fail to provide a balanced diet. You have to add to this already very expensive diet. You add milk, yogurt, fruit, vegetables and protein. This makes the cost of this program too expensive. You can buy healthy choice, smart choice, lean cuisine frozen entries and it will be not only less costly, but it will taste good. I would not recommend this program to anyone. Diabetics should never use this program as it is not up to the American Diabetic Association standards. Patricia 26

This system completely sucks, the people who work there suck, communication sucks, It is the absolute worst ever. I've cancelled it 5 times. They only sent me one shipment that was the worst food ever. 8 mos. later I received another shipment even after all the cancellations. They kept sending me emails not being able to charge my card..the one time I let the limit down they charged it and sent me a shipment. We need to class action sue these people for all the over limit fees people are paying on credit card balances. Any attorney's out there feel free to contact me, also any other victims. You will lose more weight on this program if you just starve yourself. Your not going to be able to eat the food anyhow so it is basically the same thing only your paying them to starve you.

I have just 2 logical facts that you definately do not waste your money on Nutri Systems. First exorcise, and eat sensibly. If you want to throw away $300 a month on Nutri Systems, go right ahead, or for just a couple of dollars you can by Lean Cusine, or other foods like it, and you will get the same results without getting in a scam like Nutri Systems. And FYI, once you order Nutri Systems, they have your credit card number and they will keep charging your credit card every month for hundreds of dollars even after you try to cancel your orders. They try to scam your YES I mean scam you as much as they can get away, then move on to another unlucky individual. Is this what you people want? Avoid this product at all costs. You can get better results by buying Sensible foods that are good for you without bankrupting your wallet. So be wise and be healthly.

I have one HUGE complaint...the food they ship in completely disgusting! I actually tried to give it to my dog and he actually sniffed it and walked away. So to say their items taste like dog food obviously is untrue since my dog would not have anything to do with it!

My husband and I used this product for nearly a year and we did lose weight. However, every other delivery was a problem. My second package was missing food I had ordered. Substitutions had been sent but they were unsatisfactory. I emailed the company and after 5 days received a response. They have an uncanny knack of side steping your questions so I never got a satisfactory answer to my complaint. My third box was correct. My forth box had nothing in it that I ordered but I did not find out until after I opened the box. Apparently, they had sent me a delivery meant for someone else. Since my previous complaint via email was so unsatifactory I called the company. Nearly 20 minutes later I got to speak to a representative (thank goodness the call was toll free). After being on the phone for almost an hour they told me to reseal the box and call UPS. They instructed me to tell UPS that the package had been misdelivered. This was a lie since my name was on the address label but they were trying to get out of paying UPS for return charges. This never did sit right with me. The rest of my packages arrived without mishap but then my husband began having problems with his deliveries. Our main reasons for droping the program was that it is very costly and although we found the food tasty at first, it all began to taste the same the longer we stayed on the program. They use heavy amounts of green and red pepper (which I suffer a slight alergy to both) and they are heavy handed with the black pepper. The powered egg dishes were not good and I stopped ordering them after the second package. When we decided to stop the program I called Nutri Systems to cancel my subscription. It took longer than I expected to get to the right department but everyone I spoke to was very polite.

I agree with everybody else on this page. NutriSystem is a scam pure and simple. I only wish I had read this before I wasted an hour carefully planning a 28 day meal plan. The box I received was not even close to what I ordered -- not just a few wrong items; three quarters wrong items -- in both type and count. And then there is the food. It's enough to make you gag. I figured that nobody could mess up chicken noodle soup. I was wrong. It was like gelatin -- only with less flavor. The secret is not the "glycemic index". It's tiny portions of inedible slop. Don't do it! I urge everyone to contact consumer agencies to report this. I did.

so much of the food has tomatoes in it and the same exact spices, so it all tastes the same. They send you powdered eggs in a cup that you add water to and it is disgusting. I asked them to quit but they didnt They send whatever they feel like sending to you
You lose weight because you starve..it is ridiculous The one thing that really ticke dme off was they claim to have a low glycemic index..what a joke I have hypoglycemia and am pre-diabetic and they sent cereat, and rolls and sugar treats..there is no way to lose weight that way for someone like me..even starving, I barely lost 5 pounds in a few months

I ordered the NutriSystem as I was drawn to the glycemic index part as I'm reactive-hypo glycemic. However, I filled out all of the food oder and submitted. I'm a very picky order so I had a lot of repeat foods. I was so excited once I got my shipment, I couldn't wait to open it all. Then to my surprise I opened up the boxes and was very upset...they said that they ran out of certain foods and that they had to make substitutes for most of my food. I was soo ticked off. Here I was a very picky eater, and I was left with almost 3 weeks of food that I wouldn't and couldn't eat. I called them and they said that there was nothing I could do. They still call me every month now still trying to get me to rebuy and are offering me 2 weeks free and 2 weeks to buy...I'm not falling for that one again.

I bought this product and was completely disappointed. The food smelled worse than dog food, I was starving my the end of the first week, and I was not aware that I have to add a bunch of fresh veggies and fruits to complete the plan. After spending $300 on the first month, I did not have any money left over to buy the fresh foods. I did not have an issue with their customer service other than they won't take me off of their mailing lists. But the food is crap and everyone chatting in their website chatrooms seem extremely unhappy, especially when they constantly receive the wrong foods, receive inadequate substitutions, or their shipments are delayed. Also, they do not require a signature with the delivery. So the food may be sitting on your stoop all day in the hot sun or get stolen. The boxes they deliver this stuff in are large and take two people to carry into your house. Save your money and buy REAL food!

I was on the Nutrisystem auto-ship program for about 8 months. There were extra things that I ordered such as a water bottle and then a set of water bottle caps that make your regular water smell like you are drinking a fruit flavor instead of plain water. I never received the caps and that is after I called and explained that it was missing from my order. They promised that it would be out in a seperate order and I would receive it in two weeks. I never did get that. My husband and I agreed I should stop the program since I wasnt really losing any of the weight, so when I went to cancel the auto-ship I was told it was finished and I wouldnt receive anymore. However I still received another shipment and was charged the amount. I called and when I finally could get someone to help me I was told that the lady that originally told me my auto-ship orders were stopped only put it on hold with a start up again in 2 months. Bah so the second lady finally gave me the RA code and confirmation number that told me my auto-ship was truly cancelled. Even though I sent the shipment back to them with all the required information I never did receive my money back for that last one.

Every month before my order ships I get an email suggesting I order my favorite foods. And every month, my favorite foods are missing from my order, subsituted with things I don't like and don't want. This is both disappointing and dishonest. Although having Nutrisystem ship the food is convenient, there's no point if I get things I don't want. They promised to issue a $25 credit to make up for my disappointment, but of course they did not actually do so. The last straw was the oatmeal. How can you run out of a common item like oatmeal? A tiny little granola bar is not an acceptable subtitute for hot oatmeal. At least if I shop at the grocery store I will get what I want.

I started using NutirSystem 2 weeks ago. I finally took sick. The amount of Soduim in the food they send you should be Against The Law. That much Sodium in any diet can eventually kill and obese person. They told me that the Sodium content was half the recommended FDA allowance. NutriSystem are Liars. They want your money. They give you very little food in the containers then fill the spaces with gravy or sauces. The food is salty. Save your money. I have resorted to throwing the food out for fear of returning it to them and they reship it to another unsuspected customer. NUTRIYSYTEM should be ASHAMED of their product and to advertise or target overweight people for their financial gain is SINFUL! America Beware.
