Do NOT use this Orange Glo product nor buy any of the ebooks folks are trying to sell you on how to remove the build up/haze. I called Orange Glo's customer service line directly and found out how to remove this product off the floor. Their solution? Plain old ammonia and good old fashioned hands and knees elbow action! My entire main level is hardwood so imagine how long it took me an entire weekend to get the floors back to their original luster because there was so much build up on them.
Directions from Orange Glo's customer service line:
So he gave me the following instructions:
1. Mix 1/2 cup of ammonia with 1 gallon of warm water.
2. Apply solution to floor with mop in inconspicuous place first to test.
3. Once you determine it's okay to use on your floors...apply to floor and let stand for 5 minutes.
4. Wipe up the solution with a clean soft cloth.
5. Wipe with circular motion if there is more of a build up.
6. According to how much build up you have...you might have to repeat the process until it's all off.
We've been using this product and at first it really looked nice but then the floors started looking dull and very scratched up. I didn't understand why and then noted streaks where some parts of the floor were shiny and others were dull so I scraped with my fingernail and removed some product. Underneath it was shiny. So I decided to Google and found that lots of people were having the same problem!
I'm very disappointed this product is still being sold in stores as no one should ever use this on their floors!

Another nightmare story about Orange Glo. I watched the infomercial on several different occasions and once the hardwood floor in my kitchen was significantly scratched under the kitchen table chairs, I bought the Orange Glo system at my local bath store. I thoroughy cleaned my floor before starting with the orange glo. Everything was downhill from there. Lucky for me I had only applied the goop to about 6 square feet, but what an unmitagated disaster! (and two days before 4th of july week long guests arrived) After immediately trying to wipe the stuff up before it dried and having no success, I called the company's 800 number and was given the standard line of using amonia and water. Yeah, that didn't do a thing. In a panic I checked the web (at this point I had invested about 3 hours in this 6 square foot disaster) to see if I was the first person to ever have a problem with this product. Low and behold I found tons of people who were in my life boat and sinking rapidly! Then after skimming about 35 blogs I came across someone who mentioned the word []. I went out and bought a new bottle of [], came home, spritzed the mess under my kitchen table and wiped it up with a damp cloth. fortunately that terrible product had only been on my floor for a few hours and not over night b/c it came up. I did go on and polish the bejeez out of the spot with a soft cloth. Like 5 hours of hard labor later I called the people at [] to tell them how their product saved my embasrrassment and hardwood floor, and though they were pleased that I was so happy with their product they advised against using it on wood surfaces. They said use mineral spirits in a case like I experienced. Hope this ditty helps some other poor misguided sole out of a dire situation.

I've been using this product for a while now and I've been complaining to my housekeeper that they are not cleaning my floors properly. Turns out it is this product. It leaves a hazy film on the floor that obviously needs to be scrubbed off on hands and knees. My floors are on an entire floor of my home and I am FURIOUS this happened.
Do not buy this product!

Was thrilled with this stuff for about a day before the film came. 2 months later I am still trying to restore my floors. This stuff is horrible.

I have been using a product from the company who installed my beautiful hardwood floors for the past three years. I ran out of the cleaning solution. The company is not conveniently close to my home, so I decided to try this great Orange Glo product I had seen advertised on TV (by the screamer) and conveniently located on my local [] store shelf. Big Mistake!! When I first put Orange Glo on my floors, they were shiny and I thought I had found a new product. Then, after it dried, and especially the following day, I started to see cloudy, white areas all over my beautiful floors! They looked horrible! Well, we were going out of town for a week, so I didn't have time to re-do them. The Orange Glo sat on my floors for a week. Thank God I only used one application! When I returned from my trip, the floors looked cloudy, dull, and horrible. I happened to mention it to my sister, who told me that I needed to get that stuff off my floors immediately. Her neighbor's floors had been ruined by Orange Glo. I contacted the floor company who did my hardwood floors and they told me several clients had used Orange Glo and had gotten the cloudy, dull looking floors. (Funny how so many people seem to have had bad experiences with this product, but they can still sell and advertise it!! I would have never known had I not mentioned it to my sister, and she just happened to know someone else who had a similar bad experience.) They advised me to use their product (the one I had been using), and use a lot of muscle, to get down on hands and knees and scrub, scrub, scrub until the film comes up. They said the product adheres to the top coat of the flooring. Well, luckily, the stuff seems to have come off, after my husband, on hands and knees, used a scrub brush, the cleaning solution, and muscle to get it to come up. He is now in bed with sore arms and shoulders after scrubbing for yes, 6.5 hours, and is, as you can imagine, not very happy! Don't use Orange Glo!! You will regret it!! I am just thankful we did not have to end up sanding and re-finishing our floors. Oh, and the cost of the floor cleaner I usually use, is not much more than the Orange Glo, as I buy the concentrated solution (1 quart for $5.00). We actually went through 3 bottles of the stuff to remove the Orange Glo. It's definitely worth the time and price of gas, a lesson learned!

I had a horrible attempt with Orange Glo on my floors. It left a horrible white film all over them and also made them quite sticky. I thought I had ruined my floors after I mopped it.
I was in a panic on how to clean these floors off.
I finally found this website [] where a guy gives good instructions on how to get the crap off. It totally saved my life!

Do not use this product!!!! I've been wanting to try it for a while and finally did today. When it dried, I saw streaks with a white film. In an attemt to try and break the I used my old cleaning solution with a lint-free cloth. As I started rubbing the streaks out, it formed green powder--sort of like a deodorant film--and the streaks are not gone. I'm about to try a vinegar/water solution. If I have to call a professional floor repair company, can I expect Orange Glo to take care of the bill??????

So like all of us, We bought Orange Glo and tried it. While still wet I thought wow this is awesome. Once things dried I started seeing all these streaks and foot prints. I tried putting more product on the floor thinking it will smooth out the places I missed your streaked. NO! big mistake. It started forming waxy little chunks like deodorant. It made the floor so much worse! a second coat is a no no. From there every foot step, every animal paw showed up. I rubbed my finger across the floor and you can see were I smeared the waxy product. The floor was filmy and horrible. I went on the web and typed in how to clean off orange glo and came to this page. To my surprise here was this website. I read up on some different attempts and decided to go with the one that involves vinegar. I had tried mopping over and over before looking at the internet. It was so caked on nothing worked. I poured some water in a bowl, added a little vinegar and started rubbing the floor with the a damp wash cloth. It worked but not as well as I needed. So I started wiping the wet floor with a dry towel and made sure to buff off the remaining product that didn't come off with the moisture. That works! instantly you can feel the difference of what part of the floor has it and what doesn't. I couldn't see very well at certain angles so I took a little work light from my husbands garage and aimed it to the area I was scrubbing. I was able to see every little thing on the floor that helped a lot. Now I am almost done getting it all up. Yes it is a lot of work. my shoulders are killing me but the consequence of not doing it is much more great. My brand new hardwood floors looked horrible with this product. I wish it would be taken off the shelves. The daily cleaner works really well but I am finding myself never wanting to buy another item from this company again! I feel so deceived. We are going to return the bottle to [] and never look back. I am so disgusted at the people who market this. uck.

I wish that I had researched this product more before using it. I especially wish that I had seen this website....oh well.
I have to agree with the others here. It leaves a poor finish that indeed shows footprints. Worse yet, I set the bottle on my dining room table and there must have been some of the liquid on the bottom, because it attacked the finish on my table and ruined it. No amount of polishing or waxing has helped my table.
Beware of this product! Anyone who yells at you in their commercial (Billy does that) should be suspect.

Biggest piece of crap product I have ever used. I had beautiful hardwood floors throughout my home. When anyone comes through the door they comment on the beautiful hardwood. Not anymore. I need help. How do you get this crap off before my husband kills me. This product should be taken off the market. Someone should get a class action lawsuit going on this company.

Purchased Orange Glow Hardwood Floor Restorer in a store.
Product gave a marginally improved, generally uneven shine on the floor that only lasted a few days before being lost to light traffic. Any drips of water, even if immediately wiped off, will result in a cloudy spot in the finish that is so ugly and noticable that it needs to be avoided at all costs. do not use this floor in a bathroom where your hands may dip on the floor as you reach for the towel.
My floor was not pre-waxed. basically 10 year old oak hardwood floors in a foyer and bathroom that has retained most stain color but whose varnish has all been worn away and sun faded. According to the commercial, this should have been the ideal type of floor for restoration. Followed instructions to clean and prep floor using other products.
This product is no better/worse than any older products that are sold in stores right now with similar claims and are usually a little cheaper.

I purchased Orange Glo at [] several months ago. It was the only hardwood floor cleaner they had one the shelf. I used it, and it left a nice shine on the floor. I should say floors, I have the []prefinished in my kitchen, entryway, dining room, living room and family room. Anyway, the next day footmarks started to show on the floor (we walk barefoot in the house), ugh! Using the Orange Glo again created a build up, I tried other hardwood cleaners and they made it worse. Smudge, build-up, a big mess - anyway, my husband and I had to use [], squirt it on the floor in a 4x4 area, use a scrunge sponge (rough side), circular motions, rinse with a bit of water, then use real hardwood cleaner such as [] or the [] hardwood floor cleaner (available at the []). What a mess, what a job! I still find spots that need re-do's - I'm sure it'll be a year before the floors are back to normal in every nook and cranny. Don't buy Orange Glo!

I used orange glo on our brand new wood floors after seeing the builder's cleaning crew using it. Ugh. Not only do the floors look terrible but every time someone walks on it there are footprints. I tried the windex but that seems to also make it dull.
The worst thing is, I had just bought a brand new dining table from [] and set the orange glo down on it while cleaning the floors. A little of the orange glo was on the bottom of the container and now the table is ruined. I have tried to get the spots off but cannot. If anyone has had this problem and fixed it please please let me know.
I called the company and they said the product has acrylic in it and that is causing the spotting but could only offer the ammonia remedy. They then offered to send me a coupon. I said no thanks, I never want to see another bottle of that stuff again.

I also used Orange Glo and it looked horrible. Tried for a month to get my floors back to normal. Try mopping your wood floors with full strength []. It took the orange glo off my floors..finally! Orange glo should not be sold. There are SO many complaints online about this product.

Oh My! I applied Orange Glo to my hardwood floors and it left a dull smear over the entire floor. I tried rubbing it off but it won't come off. I wish someone had a magical way to remove this product. This product needs to be pulled off the retail shelves and only made available to professionals who are willing to take responsibility for the miserable results.

I used this product too and my floors look terrible. I have been trying to get the glossy hard film off my floors too for days now and still no luck. My neck and back is killing me. And then some of it spilled on my glass table and it stuck like glue. It took forever to get that off. The only thing that took it off was [] and a scraper (on my glass table). I do not want to use [] on my wood floor to get it off. I do not know what to do. I guess I will continue trying to resolve this mess my own way (maybe scratch it off with my nails & wet wash cloth) and pray to god that helps. All I can say is thanks a lot Orange Glo, you suck! I am calling the store too where I bought it and warn everyone there especially the cashier lady. She was going to buy it for her floors too after seeing me get it. I hope to god she didn't buy it yet. Terrible product!!!

I wish that I had found this website before using Orange Glo Cleaner and Polish. It is the most dreadful product, it left my beautuful wood floor with a hazy film all over, and everytine you walked across the floor footprints were left behind.
I decided to give [] a go and it has worked brilliantly. Yesterday I spent 5 hours on my hands and knees rubbing the product off my floor, it was hard work but worth it to get my floor back to how it used to look.
I sprayed an area of the floor with [] and waited for about a minute or so, and the using a large microfibre cloth rubbed away the Orange Glo.
This product should be taken off the market, I don't know how they get away with it!!!!

I too bought the Orange Glo after seeing the amazing results on tv. I first used the squirt polish and followed the instructions to a T. It did actually shine up very nicely until you walked on it and then use see all sorts of footprints and scuff marks from chairs being moved and shoe marks. So as long you don't plan to ever walk on the floors you're cleaning then you should be ok. A week later I then used their spray to get rid of all the scuff marks and clean the floors in general.
WHOA what happened to the nice scuffed up shine? Now its all dull and sticky like everyone else has mentioned. So then I started researching floor cleaning products and discovered several sites about the disasterous results of using Orange Glo. Guess I should have researched beforehand!
Well long story short, I've been spending the last hour on my hands and knees with a towel and [] and its coming back to the original sheen. I guess the guy from My big Fat Greek Wedding was right, [] can fix anything!!

I only wish I'd read these reports before I messed up my floor with Orange Glo. I used orange glo once and I loved it! Tried the product 4 weeks later and my floors look terrible. I've been on my hands and knees scrubbing and they don't seem to be getting much better. We leave footprints everywhere we walk! I don't know what to do to make them better. Save yourself alot of work and don't buy this product. I bought the entire system! What a waste of time and money!
