I called 5 minutes ago to order Power 90. I saw the mention 'Checks Accepted By Phone' so I said to myself...why not! Umm, well, the Operator that answered was the MOST rude person I've ever dealt with. Since I am Canadian, they wouldn't accept checks; okay, that's understandable. I then asked if I could send a US Money Order and they said yes. The Operator provided me the address and then said to send $65.85 USD. When I started to ask questions as of WHY it wasn't $29.95, she started to be REALLY rude, and I quote: "YOU didn't understand the advertisement, Ma'am. The $29.95 package only has ONE (1) CD, while the $65.85 package has all SIX (6) CD's". I asked if this was a scam and I got a sigh as an answer... It got me suspicious right away and I just said: Well, I'll check on e-Bay, I'm sure someone is selling a copy for cheaper. Then the Operator hung up the phone without saying anything else. She really got me angry, so I 'googled' Power 90 and saw this website. Thanks guys for being there, you made me save time and money. :)

This is the letter I sent to their Customer service department today after 3 months and over $200.00 in charges to my account. Back in May of this year I saw your product on a commercial and decided of all the infomercials out there that I would give this one a try so I called the number on my TV screen and since that moment this experience has been a disaster! The infomercial showed an offer of $14.95 for a 3 work out disc, exercise pack (the poster) diet and nutritional help (the drink wheel) and a work out band. It then said that if you called in the next number of minutes that you would receive 2 additional bands (a value of ?x) absolutely free then approximately every 45 days (I believe it might have been 90 days) you would receive 2 more discs. And so on. When I called the operator she told me that the wrong commercial was running in my area and that that promotion was not available and that I should call you and complain! I argued with her and finally she agreed to send what the commercial promoted. I even ordered it Fed Exp. It took two weeks for the package to arrive (what was the point of paying for Fed Exp???? When the package arrived I got the poster, the nutritional wheel, information on the web support and the power 90 DVD thats it! Two days later a package arrived with a yellow sticker that said special reward inside and I opened it assuming that it was the bands only to find a bottle of activit. I participate in Life-force international and do not take or need any other vitamins, I did not order these and assumed initially that they were sent as a promo to replace the bands, I was aggravated and called the ordering center again as the commercials were still running but now with a different promo, they cold not help, I called Beach Bodys 800 number and sent an online email request, got an auto response that someone would contact me in 7 days and nothing happened. Then the charges started showing up and on June 17th both by phone and online I cancelled everything! On June 29th Again my card was charged and again I called and was told I would be credited. The credit and the products NEVER arrived. On July 25th I again called and again checked all the boxes online to again cancel what should have already been cancelled but as a precaution I cancelled again AND AGAIN on July 29th my account was charged. Since early May I have spent over $200.00 for a $14.95 promotion that never sent me what I ordered. As it was a miserable experience from the start I never even opened the DVD as how could I assume that any of this was what it was purported to be, I did some research online I find that others are having the same issues with your company. At the request of Customer service I am sending the checking account withdrawals and I expect that within the next 10 days that these funds will be returned to my account along with the original $59.00 charge, which should have been $14.95.

My husband ordered the Power90 "introductory" DVD offer on 7/30/05. This was to be a $14.95 + s&h charge to total $20.90. We used our PayPal Mastercard, so the next day when I was checking on some charges on line I noticed that the charge for $20.90 was there, along with a charge for $89.80!! This was NOT authorized by us, nor did we ask for anything else. I attempted to email their "customer service" (I use the term loosely) department, only to receive an auto reply. The next day was Monday so I decided to call them. I was on hold for approximately 30 minutes, when someone finally answered to tell me that their computers were down (Sure!) and that someone could call me back in an hour (isn't it amazing that they can pinpoint exactly how long it will take to fix their computers?) or I could try back in about an hour. I gave them my number, knowing I would never hear back from them. I then waited about 2 hours and tried back, only to be on hold for 30 minutes and then somehow mysteriously being disconnected as soon as someone picked up. Wow, computer and phone problems all in the same day! You would think that with all the money they are scamming from people thay would have the best, top notch phone and computer systems around! (HA) Anyway, after numerous attempts via email and phone I tried using their "online chat", but no one was available. Gee, how convenient! Fianlly I decided to go right to PayPal. I called them and they are now investigating the charge. Today I get an email from their customer service department. All it said was "You did place an order for $89.80. Thank you..." Then I actually got through to someone on the online chat - must be my lucky day! She basically told me that the $89.80 was for the auto ship items. I asked her HOW CAN YOU AUTO SHIP FUTURE ORDER BEFORE SHIPPING THE INTRO PACKAGE? She completely glossed over my question and asked me if I would like to cancel the auto ship. Oh, and speaking of that...they tell you on the website to cancel future autoships, just click on the tab on the top that says "cancel autoship"...has anyone noticed that there IS NO TAB that says that? Holy Cow...what a scam! Oh joy, as I am writing this I just received a reply to my latest email. I basically had asked them why I was charged the $89.80 and told them that if the charge wasn't reversed my credit card company is already investigating the matter. Do you know what they replied? "Response (Errick) 08/04/2005 08:29 AM Hello, Thanks for your email. If your order was not received, you can contact us via live chat and we will be more than happy to further assist you with a reshipment via Fedex on our expense. Thanks! For further assistance please contact our Online Live Chat Customer Service via chat" They are not even reading the emails, only pasting in form replies. Like the one I received yesterday when I emailed them about cancelling the autoship. Their reply was: "Response (Errick) 08/03/2005 02:47 PM You're Welcome! Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with. You can also visit us again atwww.beachbody.comfor further questions athttp://beachbody.com/jump.jsp?itemID=222&itemType=CONTENT&path=63Thanks again and best of luck reaching your fitness goals!" I am WELCOME? FOR WHAT?? Please do yourself a favor, if you are thinking of ordering this program, do what these other people suggest. Buy it on []! I am hoping that PayPal will come through for me, which I am pretty sure they will. But if not, I am contacting the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau!

Back at the end of April, I ordered Power 90 based on their $14.95 introductory offer. They offered a full 30-day preview then, if you liked it, they would start shipping you two additional tapes every other month, yada, yada, yada. Otherwise, you could cancel and owe nothing more. Oh, and it takes 2-3 weeks for delivery. Nothing remarkable about the offer. Well, when my 30 days were almost up (30 days after I received the shipment), I sent them an e-mail to cancel. Two days later, these new tapes show up at my door. When I wrote to them and told them I wanted a refund, they said they would only refund my money for the product not the original shipping nor the return shipping, even though I canceled within the 30 day timeframe from when I received the tapes. Thats when they claimed I only had 30 days from the date they SHIPPED the tapes (which took over 10 days to deliver), not the date I RECEIVED the tapes to preview the program. Remember they state in their infomercial it takes 2-3 weeks for delivery, so you really only have a week or two to look at the program, but they certainly dont tell you that up front. In any case, they flatly refused to refund the full amount. I argued with them for two weeks via e-mail and they kept contradicting themselves and getting caught in lies. First, they said I canceled on the 20th of June. I forwarded them the first e-mail they sent me which flat-out proved I sent my cancellation request on the 17th. So then they backpedaled, saying, oops yes it was the 17th - but were still not giving you back your money in full. Then they sent me another e-mail saying, actually, you do have 30 days from the time you RECEIVE the tapes - but were still not refunding the shipping. I finally said I was going to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) because I was tired of their lies, contradictions and evasion. So, we went through the BBB resolution process. Eventually, they ADMITTED to the BBB, plain as day and in writing, that they only gave me 26 days to preview the program, but they felt that was adequate, to use their own words. WHAT??? You find it acceptable to only allow someone 26 days on an advertised 30-day guarantee??? Thats called false advertising, people, and it was illegal last time I looked. They STILL refused to totally refund my money, even though the BBB themselves caught them in a lie and they admitted they didnt give me the time advertised to preview. The case was closed. You would not believe how angry I was at this point. So, I wrote directly to their CEO, Carl Daikeler, marked the envelope Personal and Confidential and sent it off. I gave him every single detail of what happened including all the lies and contradictions I was told by his customer service staff - and I told him they had a choice: either refund my money in full and pay for the return shipping of the product, or I was going to the Florida Attorney General, who takes a very dim view of companies who falsely advertise in his state. About five days later, I get an e-mail a very abrupt, short e-mail from Amber (their director of Customer Relations and who posted on the Defense page of this site for this product), who said they would be giving me a credit for the full amount and to keep the products that were shipped. You could tell it was all she could do to be civil. I FINALLY got the refund earlier this week (its 8/4/05 as of this writing and this has been going on since 6/17/05). When it comes to doing business with Beachbody BUYER BEWARE! Id be careful with anything I ordered from them, including Slim Series, Slim in Six, Kathy Smiths: Project You!, Yoga Booty Ballet, P90X, Fast 10, Power Half Hour, and Power 90 all of which are Beachbody products. None of the programs are stellar enough or different enough to warrant the risk it takes to do business with Beachbody. One last thing - heres a laugh: according to their web site, they state they ...operate Beachbody by adhering to four fundamental values: - Treat people with respect and be courageously forthright. - Take initiative to find ways to improve everything. - Make a commitment and deliver on your promises. - Work with passion, commitment, and enthusiasm. Need to work on that a bit, dont they?

I see that I'm not the only one who fell victum to the additional products offered, followed by the unauthorized charges. When I ordered the one video, I was asked repeatedly about additional products--I said NO each time. It is my opinion that employees are instructed to go ahead and attach the additional products in hopes that the consumer won't catch it or will inevitablely try it and pay for it. They didn't count on crossing my path. I have disputed the charge with my bank card as well as filed a formal complaint with the Attorney Generals office. They don't know it yet, but I'm about to become their worst nightmare. I am highly tenacious and they will need someone to peel me off them when I'm done!

He stated the credit had been submitted, but nothing happened with it. I cancelled my subscription and notified my credit card company. On this same day my credit card was charged $29.90 for products not received. On 7/28/05 my credit card was charged an additional $45.85 for who knows what. I'm still trying to get credit for these charges and can't get anyone on the phone.

Well, I ordered Power 90, they took the money right of my account of course. It's been three weeks and after two emails to their cust svc center, I thought I finally had some relief when I got an email saying they had shipped my DVD and gave me the tracking number. I have been trying for several days now to use this tracking number on the USPS website, to no avail. They keep telling me there is no record! Of course when you try and contact cust svc through the "online chat" there is never anyone available! Seems they're always "offline"! You call the cust svc number and you better plan on being on hold for a LONG time. I just wrote them another email today asking them why they're sending me bogus information. However, I think your emails might just go into some sort of cyber space as quickly as our money goes into their pockets. I actually had to go to my bank and discontinue my ATM/Debit card and get a new card with a new number so they couldn't take any more money out of my account. I can't believe they are able to practice like that. I got ripped off, but don't let it happen to you!

I ordered the P90x program at the beginning of June, recieved the program, and am very happy with it, BUT... the next month when I was waiting for the first payment to be automatically deducted, They kept probing the account to see if funds were available, and I eventually called their billing dept. to see if they got their payment, because I had too much money in my account. I was told that they HAD gotten their payment and "Thank you for being so honest". Two weeks later however, I noticed another charge from beach body, So I called them up and got a combative rep on the line who said that they hadn't double billed me at all. I filed a claim with my bank, and when I checked my account online, there was seemingly no record of the first billing. I went down to my bank, and they couldn't find anything. My banker believes me, but there was no proof. I've since had to drop the claim because my own bank has no proof of theft, but I have read of several other instances where the same thing has happened to other people. One of the 'claims' people said that it might be the type of system the billing dept. uses that allows them to to this. I would be interested in finding out if this has happened to other people.

I ordered the Power90 videotape, support CD, rubber bands and vitamins from a Power90 Infomercial. I paid the three easy payments all at once on my credit card in order to receive faster delivery. The package came minue the Power90 videotape and support CD but it did contain the rubber bands and vitamins. Despite repeated calls to their customer service telephone numbers for FIVE HOURS total, NO ONE EVER ANSWERS! All you hear over and over again is a recording telling you to email them at their website. When you emailbeachbody@custhelp.com, all you get is a reply telling you to call the telephone lines which are never answered. I went from a highly-motivated customer simply seeking a missing videotape to hating myself for ever becoming involved with this product and company. I have notified my credit card company that this charge is in dispute and I'm writing to the Better Business Bureau as well as posting this warning online. Telling beachbody.com these actions in an email simply resulted in another email telling me to call their customer service line. NO TAPE. NO RESPONSE. NO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. I have been going round and round with beachbody for the past five days before reporting them in this complaint. They had more than enough time to do the right thing.<< Back

I ordered their Power 90 program from Beachbody.com and in the checkout process on-line, they offer several deals. Well I accepted the "free" trial of one of their vitamins called Activit. A charge of $25.90 just appeared on my bank account (Visa Check Card) and when I went to their web site, it has a place for explanation of charges where it briefly explains this charge. I gather from this that I am not the only one who has questioned this. I called the customer service and after being passed around I spoke to a girl who was supposed to be the supervisor and she said that I agreed to this. Well their wording is very misleading!! I was under the impression that I could try them then decide, if I like them, that I could join the life-time program. She said that was not the case. No where in the "blurb" when you say yes does it say you will be automatically charged the following month for $25.90. I do not know how companies get away with these types of practices?? This charge has made such a devastating domino effect I do not know how I am going to correct all the damage they did. Is there anything I can do, other than report them?

We, like many others, ordered the Power 90 program. During the order process they offered a "Complimentary" bottle of vitamins and informed us that all we would have to pay would be the shipping fee and that the shipping fee would be included in the first payment for the Power 90 Program. We were assured and reassured that they just wanted to be nice to us and offer us a free bottle to try. The vitamins were not free and have yet to ever arrive. It was a scam to steal funds without true authroization. All the goodies like the bands etc shown in the informercial - well, don't wait on those either. You get your dvd - but it costs you more than they will ever tell you, more than you will ever know. Beachbody.com/Power 90 took it upon themselves to enroll us in some so called vitamin service that they will not respond in regard to. They keep taking funds from our account under the guise of charging for this vitamin thing that we never ordered. The vitamins never come, trying to contact Power 90 is insane. We tried phoning when this first happened because we could not figure out why or what they took funds for. We simply had a charge from they that was unexpected and that we never authorized. When we phoned Beachbody we were informed of this vitamin service crap. The reps get rude and / or hang up when we try to call. They never know what we are talking about and of course, a supervisor is never able to get on the phone. When asked for names and numbers we get told its not their policy to protect employees so they cannot give out their names or numbers. Policy? What in the world kind of policy is theft??? What company has no name or number provided for customer service contact? We had one e-mail reply at the very beginning and it was really rude, now all emails we send go ignored. In the meantime every month we have to sit by and watch this company steal money, then we have to file a dispute and wait for our financial institution to refund the funds this company is taking as our financial institution does not "block" items. Our only other option is to totally shut down our account to prevent these people from having access. And it certainly feels as if we will have to do so and very soon. We wrote, phoned , emailed begging this company to communicate, halt fund stealing etc- all to no result. Our bank has been dealing with them for us, nonetheless the whole routine of them stealing, us disputing, bank refunding is getting old , frustrating and tiring real quick. Very sad as they do have good products that sell and make money on their own merit. I just do not understand how they can have such horrid business practices.

I also got scammed by beachbody.com. They offer the Power 90 program for a low price to draw you in and get your credit or debit card number. Once the puruchase is made they bombard you with telemarketing calls with a free offers The telemarketers are very persistent. To get them off the phone I went ahead and told them to send me the free Activit. I gave them my debit card info. to pay for the shipping. Apparently the small trial size bottle is the free first bottle, but they immediately started billing for the subsequent bottles. What they do is send 60 vitamin tabs every other month (one a day, 60 day supply). The cost is $19.95/month and the following month when they ship a bottle is $25.95 (19.95+6.00 shipping and handling). In short I was being charged $45.90 for 60 low quality vitamin tablets. I did call them to cancel and stop this billing. I also told them I'm sending the bottle back, then they asked me if I would continue it for $9.95/month. I told them no just cancel, which they did over the phone. 3 weeks after cancelling I got billed again for $19.95. I called thier customer service line and they said in essence that the billing would continue as I would get charged another $25.95 the following month. They said once the system reconizes that the order isn't shipped, they money will be credited back. This means that I would still get charged another $45.95 and they'll issue a refund 2-3 months from now. Of course I was not happy with this explination. If I cancel something they should not have the right at that point to charge anything to my card! Expecially for soemthing I didn't even get. I talked with the supervisor and she said she would put the refund thorugh right away but we'll see what happens. It seemed like she was just saying something to get me off the phone. I am thinking about reporting them to California Attorney General's office. What they are doing is not right. Don't order anything from this company because once they get your bank or credit card information they won't stop billing you for crap you don't even get.

I have a son who developed an illness at 19 that will require lifetime medication. The meds have caused weight gain that has become a health issue in itself, and in turn - the onset of depression and a serious lack of self-esteem. I know that exercise really helps for depression, so when I saw the infomercial for Power 90, I thought the benefits the program could afford my son would be fabulous if he dig down and find the oomph! he used to have to give it a try. Being realistic enough to know that the chances were slim, though, and having been injured on the job and out of work for over a year with very few funds left to access, I declined everything but the dvd's when the rep offered a plethora of other products. Of course..., my son never watched the dvd or looked at the nutritional information in the package - but rather than return it, I thought I would try it myself - or sell it on ebay and perhaps be able to recoup a portion of the hefty shipping fee which I would lose if I returned the product. Since then, I've had a long run of high-dollar "whammies" which have depleted my funds entirely, to include the remainder of my 401K. Now down to the last month of being able to pay my monthly expenses, I was about to settle down to selling on ebay, only... when I went online to double-check that I had available funds for the month's expenses, I found two new charges from beachbody.com, presumably for some of those products that I SPECIFICALLY declined. (I don't know... I haven't received anything yet, nor has my son.) I emailed the company and got a "form" email stating that I'd get a response, probably within 24 hours. When none came, I attempted to call several times and tonight finally got through. When I related their error and the resulting situation it placed me in - even that I had bank drafts that would cause me to overdraw on Monday as a result of their charges, the rep said he would have to listen to the tape from my order before crediting the money back, and that would not be until the following Monday... too late to have funds to cover my bank drafts. I appealed to him to consider my situation and just MAKE THE CREDIT, and he offered to let me speak to a supervisior..., ascertained the availability of one who could speak to me..., transferred me, and then the either chicken-hearted or cold-souled supervisor put me in a "hold" queue that only allowed five minutes before I would be forced to leave a voice message instead of speaking with him/her as promised. The message I left must have reflected my acute frustration at being "handled" in such a manner, the desperate situation in which their error had placed me, and the true anger at the lack of respect and empathy their company has for a customer who ordered from them in good faith. I don't know if it was also clear from my message, but the last of my trust in ANY company advertising in such a manner vanished with the decision of that supervisor who made the choice to "blow me off". And I will share my beachbody.com experience with anyone smart enough to do some background checking before ordering. Excuse me... I now have to be further aggravated by getting things together for an impromptu yard sale ...or come up with some other idea in an attempt to raise a lousy $55 for which that company could have easily reversed the charges tonight. Oh, I mustn't forget the additional service charges I'll have to raise in case my efforts are not successful before 3PM Monday. The blot on my reputaion with the bank and with the companies whose drafts may not be honored... well, there's nothing that will reverse that! Please, please(!)... DO NOT order from them. They've got this scam down to an art, it seems. If you *must have* one of their products, do yourself a favor and order it on ebay, where you're protected by their buyer protection plan.

On 6/30/2005, another charge from BeachBody was put through on my account. This charge was for $45.85. I did not order any additional products. I had not given them permission to put me on some product of the month club. I contacted the customer service toll free number and after being on hold for 22 minutes and 37 seconds, I was told that they could not assist me because their systems were down. The young man I spoke with told me that someone would call me back in about an hour. Of course, no one called me. I emailed an inquiry into their website and no one contacted me back to resolve the problem. The day after I made the complaint, they took away my login capabilities to their website. Interesting! This company has indiscrimenantly and fraudulently charged my DEBIT card with charges that I never authorized which caused an overdraft resulting in $62.00 in Insufficient Fund fees to my account. This action is nothing less than credit card fraud.
