I purchased two of the Milinex vacuums after seeing the infomercial. It took many weeks but I finally received the vacuums. It was obvious right away that they were a huge rip off. They are absolutely useless on carpet and, although the hand-held dustbuster works pretty well, the actual floor/carpet vacuum is horrible and the head actually falls off every time you move it. I called the company, was told that the corporation had been sold and was given only an e-mail address to use to try and reach them. i tried to e-mail them multiple times but have received absolutely no reply. This has been a big run-around with no satisfaction. Then, to my dismay, I received two more new vacuums which I was charged for! So, now I have 4 useless vacuums that cannot be returned and I have paid for all of them. It's obviously a scam, yet these vacs are still being sold on TV...how can there clowns continue to get away with this?

I too got ripped off by this company and have lost sleep over it because I am so angry. I ordered two vacuums and got four. I returned all four and have not received a refund. I have called them about fifty times (I am not exagerating either!) I wish I could warn others not to order this product! I have lost over $400! If anyone knows of a way to file a lawsuit against this company, count me in!

I too have been ripped off by this company. I ordered 2 vacs. with the steamer as an added gift? never did get the steamer many calls to them resulted in wasted time and a nun around my complaints are same as all the ones i have read on this site . I guess I was luckier than most as I did recieved the Vacs? but are totally worthless. One was for a daughter that needed a vac bad. can you imagine the dissappointment? I have ordered over tv. before but this is the worst company to deal with . What can we do to stop these kind of comercials. That are knowingly scaming people

This is the biggest rip off company. I can see that I am not the only one that has been ripped off, paid out money and didn't recieve anything in return except a big run around. I am in hopes that the new Company will make good on our money we would like to have back. This will be the last time I order anything off the tv.

I ordered 3 Milinex Power Storm Vacs at $39.95 + tax & shipping and handling each on 11/28/05. I made the order in response to an infomercial(I forgot what channel).I have not received a one. I have made numerous inquiries regarding this matter and have been assured that in a matter of days I would receive the products ordered. Then I was told I would receive a refund (after numerous other calls). I have not. I called again today and was told the original company had sold out and they(the new company) only had a e-mail address to give to inquirers. I had already e-mailed them on 2 prior occassions. I can provide dates of inquiries if needed. I can be contacted at the above phone number(all day long). Can you help me?

I was looking for a simple light weight vac when I saw the infomerical. From what was demonstrated on TV it looked like what I might need. So I ordered it. I got one vac with another one free, the 3 pack Filters, and Streamer w/accessories. Because I paid in full I was to receive a magic duster which I never got. The first time I used the vac I was very disappointed. It didn't do a good job picking up the dogs' hairs on the carpet. The head attachment fell off a couple of times when in use. The washable filter is a laugh...have to pick at the fine dust fibers that gets emeshed into the filter, very gross! And it has rinky dinky wheels to roll on. I don't even want to try the stream cleaner. I had to wait 20 minutes to speak to a customer service. She told me that I had 30 plus 10 days to return it but couldn't tell me the exact date because she didn't have a calendar...she has one at home but didn't want have to buy one for work! Then she couldn't tell me whether it had to be postdated by that day or whether it is the date they actually recieved the return at []. If I wanted to return the vacs I would have to pay my own shipping. They charged my credit card $214.82, $57 was for mailing (which I was not informed. To return the items will cost me another $34. I'll be out $91. I feel ripped off!

I ordered the vacuums based on the offer on TV. I received the product minus the tools. They also billed my account 15 days before I received the product, and for more money than was indicated. When I called customer service, the rep asked me to return the vacuums in order for them to ship the tools, which made no sense at all. I was put on hold, and the rep. never returned to the phone. I called back, and was told by the second rep., Linda, that their manager had to call the warehouse to see if there was a backorder. I told her that the invoice clearly indicated a zero (0) under the backorder column. She said well, I would have to wait a week for the supervisor to contact the Whse. I then called my bank to dispute the charges, get a new debit card, and have them reverse the charges. Additionally, the vacuums are cheap plastic, not worth anything close to the money they are charging, and worth even less without the tools that were supposed to be included. These people are thieves plain and simple, and nothing is being done to protect the consumer. They need to be prosecuted. I will be happy to participate in a class action suit. This activity is just plain WRONG!

I bought the windstorm vacuum cleaner back in August, 2005 and returned it in September, 2005, within the 30 day trial period. I have never received my refund check. I had several different phone numbers for them, but it was always so hard to get through. After about 12 minutes or so, I was automatically disconnected. When I was able to get through, I was told my check would be processed within two weeks, then I was told my refund was in the "second batch" of refunds being mailed out. I have left messages for supervisors and they won't return my calls either. I have sent many emails, never to receive a response back. I had some hope when I was told the company was sold to Milinex and to contact them, but again, I have heard nothing. I have even asked in my email of September, 2006 to please just send me the unit back. At least I won't get ripped off this way. No luck. I sent my last email on November 13, 2006 only to be told once again that my order would be taken in the order it was received. I hate to say it, but I think we all have to chalk this one up. Singer is a scam artist. If anyone starts any class action lawsuit, please let me know.

I ordered the windstorm vaccuum cleaner, buy one get one free, in March 2006. It has been almost 9 months and I have not received anything, no vaccuums, no notice,no phone call, nothing at all. I am highly upset about losing my hard earned money. I have tried to call all of the 800 numbers given to reach someone, but they keep putting me on hold and then hang up after about 5 minutes. It was not that hard to reach someone when they took my money. I talked to several different people (Lisa, Isabella, Monica) about getting a refund, and all I got was a lot of lies. Promises to send check; already- sent check, will issue another with-in 7 days, but never received anything. I finally reached someone at 1-800-278-6886, only to be told that someone else has taken over the company as of August. Any questions or answers will need to be directed to an e-mail or address. I purchased 2 vacuums in may of 2006.I received 4 vacuums instead.I returned the 2 vacuums on 5/27/06. I called them on 8/2/06 and they told me I would get a refund in 8-10 business days. On 8/23/06 I sent them an e-mail and they replied they had to check all requests in the order that were received.I sent them a letter on the same day also.Again no reply so I sent another e-mail on 10/24/06.Still no refund. Ordered in Sept 2005, the phone ordering voice response system would not let you order as advertised on TV and kept me in a continuous loop forcing you to order more things. I wanted buy 1 get one free with attmts and free steamer etc... Same as most of you discussed, rec'd 4 Vacs and nothing else. They really are the worst product of any type I have ordered. I was charged a 1 time fee of 546.59 within days and expected 3 easy payments of 39.99. Needless to say, this caused quite a dilema financially and I have incurred over $500.00 in late and over limit fees on other bills due to this huge billing/ordering error. Over 200 calls have been placed, most hang-ups and undelivered promises to credit my account the $446.17 we both agreed had been over charged. No refund yet, I have UPS receipts and delivery confirmation, as well. Newest info is the email: customerservice@milinex.com and Ph# 1-800-278-6886, it was inactive for a while, but back up now - about 30 minute hold time, but you do get through to a person who tells about the new company and email address I just gave in order to request your refund again. GOOD LUCK - DON'T EVEN THINK OF PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM TV.

I had ordered the Powerstorm 7/06 & received 8/06. My vacuum & invoice state the product as a Powerstorm vac but when I received the product, the vacuum has "Windstorm" on the vacuum, why does it not state "Powerstorm" on it? Plus the vacuum was not as indicated on the infomercial, it is one of the worst vacs I have ever purchased. I have contacted Milinex customer care center numerous times, but no response back via e-mail. Anyone have any ideas on how to get in touch with them???

11/3/2006 - Sheryl writes:
I cannot try the product because I have never received it. It has been paid for, but I can get no response from the company. I want to know if this infomercial is still on TV.

After 6 e-mails and UPS reverse tracking back to thier shipper I still haven't been able to get any satisfaction from these rip-off artists. I actually copied and sent them the UPS reverse tracking, dozens of phone calls left on hold or hung up on, you all know exactly what I am dealing with and I sympathize with you, I am mad too!

Ordered 2 vacs on April 17. I am disabled and the light vac would help greatly. I also ordered all the upgrades, extra filters, and the extra tools for the steamer. The vacuums arrived in June, but not the upgrade, extra tools, steamer, etc. They trickled in a bit at a time. During this time I have continued to call Cust serv. There is a timer and after approx 30 min there is an auto disconnect. I spent over 8 hours on the phone for several days. I sent several e-mails but was told to call custumer service. Now they have both just stopped working. I feel like since I have not received the full order I paid for I should be able to return them for full refund. I have received all except the upgrade I paid for. Fortunately I ordered extra filters because they are very diffucult to get clean enough to keep vacuuming. Unfortunately CS has stopped replying by e-mail at all, even though I explained the issue with the phone CS. Whatever you do, please do not buy this vacuum and if anyone out there knows how to return this crap please comment on this site and I will thank you for ever. Sheila

Yup, same story. I ordered this item back in August 2005. I never received the vacumm or the refund. I've contacted every customer service department you can think of. I'm been chasing these people down since October 2005 and refuse to let this go! The latest contact information I have is: customerservice@milinex.com; mailing address: P.O. Box 394 Eliot, Maine 03903 I would be interested in being included in any class action lawsuit. If this does happen, please include me. I will keep persuing this until all the issues are resolved. It is just not fair! I REFUSE TO CALL IT A LOST AND JUST LET IT GO!!! Don't give up people!

Same story, longer waiting period. I ordered my vac back in march, returned it and never received the rfund. I have the postal receipts and insurance info from the post office with a confirmatio they received it. Thing is they hve their product, and I STILL DONT HAVE MY MONEY!. The phone number is inoperative so I went to the website and got the new phone number for the scam which is 800-278-6886, and I was pretty much told to stand in line to "possibly" get my money back from Milinex. If anyone else is interested in current "non contact" info the email address is customerservice@milinex.com or you can write them a=@ Milinex, PO BOX 394, Elliot, Maine 03903...

My story is just like everyone else I did try 1 of the vaccumms in my living room on a rug that is only 8 foot and it took 30 minutes to do as if the piece of junk decided to pick up anything you would have to dump it because it wouldn't pick up more then 1 piece of grass and 1 partical of sand. I never did recieve my steam cleaner which was the main reason I placed an order was for the free steam cleaner and the extra vac for free. Well I have 4 garbage vacs and am out over $300.00 and I can't give the junk away because everyone that looks at them just laugh and say why would we want a piece of shit like that. I am still watching this sight to see if there is ever going to be anything done with a lawsuit because I want to be a part of it. These people have hurt many, many people by riping them off. I have had money problems because of them charging me for 4 vaccumms that I didn't expect. I still will not send them back to them until they send A shipping reciept as I am not paying to ship something back I didn't order and why should I send them back so that they won't give me any of my money back. They need to be reported and all of us hard working people need to get back the money we deserve. If they give me my money back and pay for the shipping and handling of sending them back I will gladly give them their junk back Well I hope that no one else will get riped off but I am sure they will because they are still selling to people who have never seen or heard the bad things about what ever company they go by!!!I have filed a dispute with my Credit card company so I will see what comes form that. Please don't buy from this company...you will get ripped off
