i ordered this product but i wanted to cancel immediately, only to have an automated voice and couldn't. when i got the package i refused it and got some number to referened by. was told that i would be reimbursed. I completly (stupid) that it was there months later (stupid me again) i go over my bank statments and notice everymonth was being charged for it regardless. i tried calling my bank and they couldn't go that far to get an 800 #, i kept forgeting about it, i had no computer and now that i check this site i see all the same thing i went through. how do i get my money back?

We also got scammed by these crooks! My wife started to order the Red Fitness Machine in January. She did so by phone, but hung up before giving all her information. A few days later, guess what arrived in the mail? My wife was shocked and refused the package, sending us into limbo and costing us financially. We called them several times after being charged on our credit card. Finally, they acknowledge getting the package back on April 4th. We eventually got connected with Susan (Spratley) who informed us we were bound by their terms and conditions - They had stolen $140 from our credit card and would get a refund of $30. They charged us $110 for nothing. I feel we should get a full refund - when the order was not completed via phone they made no attempt to contact us. Obviously, we are interested in a class action suit!

I ordered this product on 12-23-2006. I tried to cancel the order a few days later and was told that it was already shipped out. I received the package on 1-4-2007 and returned it on 1-5-2007. It is April 27, 2007 and I have not receive a refund yet. Buyers look out for this group of scammers. I called today to inquire about my refund and was told about a restocking fee of $25.00. I still did'nt get an explanation as to why I haven't received a refund.

It didnt work and they never answered to give me a chance to return this piece of junk. I stopped payment on my credit card and than they sent me to collections. I reported them to the Attorney general in Indiana and they did nothing. Anyone interested in starting a class action lawsuit? They are ruining my credit because I wont pay the last two payments. This thing isnt worth squat. Their service is horrible. What is with all the fake reviews on the other site that says it works??????? Sad state of affairs when people are getting rich ripping all of us off.

I ordered the RED EXERCISER, and then came across this website, read a few of the complaints, then called the company (THE SAME DAY) to cancel my order! I was told that I would have to wait till I received the shipment, then turn around and cancel it! And they wouldn't pay for me to return it to them! Then when I call to get my refund, they only gave me 15.00 dollars back! I paid all together over $100! This company is a fraud and theives, I have already reported them to the Attorney General!

I like a lot of the people here was so excited. on tv it said that i could sit and watch tv and exercise at the same time.it also said that i would lose 2in in 14 days what a LIE! i got and it had 7 day a week meal plan to follow two DVDS and a book full of stuff that i needed to do to lose the weight.I started it and felt nothing for an hour. i tried it for a week and the only thing i could feel was my back hurting. I said that it was stupid to pay close to 200 dollars for something that only works if you follow their meal and hour exercise plan. i have two kids, a full time job, house, and husband i dont have time for that. It is the biggest scam. the ywo lbs i lost the whole time i had it was from me pushing back from the table. then when i called to return it they said i had 10 days so i put rush service on the return and they still deducted 39.99 from my account i called agian and they said they seen that i had sent it back but it was still not in the computer and i cant get my money back untill its in there so we will see if i get it back.

I tried evrything to cancel my order during the automated system but couldn't only to hear instead of 14.95 they were charging my account $60+ I immediately called customer service who said the order takes 48 hours to enter their system to call back then. I called and notified my bank of what took place immediately. The next morning my bank called to report the transaction was being processed,I called their customer service repeatedly over several hours never getting a live person so I had the bank xcl my bankcard...those scammers!!! I wish I had read the complaints before calling to order

I am SO glad everyone has reported this scam! If I had seen all the negative reports regarding this item ahead of time, my husband NEVER would have ordered this product. The order was placed on February 24, and a payment was deducted on February 26 for $63.95. I called after the product never showed up and after being on hold for eternity, I was told it was "backordered". Well it finally showed up on March 24, but guess what?? This time the scammer is getting scammed! I won't be one of the unfortunate consumers who have been billed for a lot of money for nothing! My husband paid with a visa check card which we have cancelled so no other transactions can take place. He called for a return authorization but can never get through..What I want to know is HOW CAN THEY STILL HAVE THIS ADVERTISEMENT ON TV?? I just saw it last night! And to use that it is backed by the University of Houston (or some university) - how can they get away with that without getting sued? Anyway, PLEASE everyone who has been scammed by this company - report it asap so that hopefully we can pull together and get this company off the air and keep anymore consumers from getting ripped off by a company selling "glorified" bar stools!!

My problem is very similar. I tried not to place and order and the order went thru anyway. I immediately called and e-mailed them only to be informed they couldn't find me in the order system. I explicitly told them under no circumstances were they to mail or charge me for this item. Well the same day this happened they deducted the $174.95 from my account. My bank was even notified immediately of the problem and instructed this was an unauthorized charge but they went ahead an put the billing thru. As a result I ODED and the bank fee's totaled $265.00. So now I am fighting to get my refund from Red as well as my bank fees reimbursed. I had copies of e-mails and letter to both places that were supplied to both with my requests for my refunds. This entire matter is nightmare! Good Luck fellow victims. Something must be done to stop this outrageous scam! Diane

I ordered the product on March 1, 2007 at night. During the call the automated system tells you a total different amount than the $14.95. I kept trying to say no and cancel but of course it did not record that part of the conversation only the order. I have been calling to cancel since March 2, 2007 and every rep. I spoke with kept telling me they do not have the order to call back at 11am and 12pm. To see if they received the order. Well I did that. However, today March 7, 2007 I checked my acct and of course they placed the order anyway. I called again today like I have been doing since March 1, spoke with a nasty manager who told me literally " I was lying because there was no note in the system and we've had this order since Friday." She would not listen to me. I said would you be quiet so I can explain to you what happened. She said no and I was going to help you and she hung up on me. I called again and spoke with her and asked her to please hear me out. She said I have heard you keep repeating yourself and basically told me again I was lying. She said the only option is to refuse the product and I would still be charged 25% to restock and $42.99 was not refundable. I asked her to please record our conversation and she claimed she did. However, as mean and rude as she was there was no way she was recording our conversation. I feel as if I have been duked and no one cares. I contacted my banks fraud dept and they're investigating. They also shut that card they used down because the supervisor said they would continue to charge me whether I had it or not. She said I should have listened to the recorded message and because I did not that was how she knew I was lying.

my story is the same as most of the others that reported it. it was supposed to be a trial for 14.99 and free shipping. well they tried to sell me everything else and i kept saying no and the voice kept saying thank you for this and that and i kept saying no. after i gave the card no. is when it all came about. at the end, the voice said your card will be charged 91.00. well i tried to cancel right away. there was a charge of 101.88 on 2-22-07. the same story as everyone else. the order isn't in the system and the next time oh it was just shipped out. i was kept waiting for 45 min, 40 min 30 min and finally got thru. i am going to refuse the package and return to sender. 2 of the women i talked to said that i can't do that that i have to get a #. that it would cost me more to refuse the seat. well if i do that i'll have to pay restocking fees 25 percent.i never knew the amount until the 1st woman told me they would be billing me 39.95 for the next 3 months. and if i returned it they would take restocking fees out of the 101.88 and each of the next 3 payments plus shipping and handling. i told her that that was a ripoff. she gave me a fax and said she couldn't help anymore.she kept insisting that i had to call and get a number, as did the 2nd lady. they don't like to give out their names. the first lady said that i signed up for payments, i told her that no one said anything about payments. she said that i would have only had to pay a onetime charge of 174.00. i told her that at no time was there ever a charge told to me.never said anything about a payment plan. as far as i'm concerned that's how they make their money. knowing full well that they are scaming people. never again will i get anything from a infomercial. i changed my credit card no. and am going thru my bank. they should be put out of business. i am going th report them to the bbb. they probably won't do anything about it but atleast someone will know what they are doing. they don't seem to care when you tell them that you're going to report them. they think its funny. thank you for letting me tell my story. Carol

I ordered the Red Exerciser. It was poorly made - the knob used to increase the tension barely did anything. My wife said it was really nothing more than a short barstool. It did come with a poorly made DVD and a small pamphlet about eating right. Whoopee. Anyway, I was able to obtain an RA# by email, and I returned the product (around Dec 22nd) within 30 days. In early February 2007, I still had not received a credit for the return, nor any reply to my emails to Susan asking her about my refund. So I contacted Visa and they were kind enough to credit my account. So I did receive my money back, no thanks to the company behind this scam, and only lost the return shipping via insured UPS. Unfortunately, the only people that will probably read this are people who are in similar situations. Meanwhile, Susan, Stacy and the rest of the scam artists are profiting at the expense of others. They need to be sued and I hope they sell one to a really nasty attorney.

I am so disgusted with this company I wish I would have read these pages before I entered my credit card number to purchase this. I should have known when I was online and it kept saying it didnt go through. By the end I had 614.10 on my credit card. I called the next day to cancel they said it was already shipped. Every person I talked to said not to worry it will be no problem just refuse the shipment from UPS. Well first of all it didnt come UPS it came USPS. The rep said they have an agreement with UPS not to just leave a package has to be signed for. well the mailman left 2 out of the 3 we paid for right up front of my house. The next day we told him we were refusing them he took them back. Now the company has just the record of delivery, not refused. Such a big scam rip off. I am so disgusted, I think I am going to contact the BBB also. I hope as of today it is cleared up I finally spoke to a woman who seemed to know what shes doing. The others I spoke to according to her were trainees. OMG this was one of the most frustrating things. I will NEVER order anything like this ever again. Nothing even remotely related to this company. I think it is a scam. They had 614.10 of my money for 1 month. How dare they!!!

I ordered by phone on Saturday and changed my mind. I called back to cancel and was given the Customer Service phone number. Called Customer Service to find they were closed on weekends. Called first thing Monday and was told the item had already shipped and my credit card was charged. After reading this blog I emailed Stacy (Red Exerciser Supervisor) and explained the problem. She responded immediatly and said a credit was issued to my credit card. She told me when I get the package to Return to Sender. I was pleasently surprised.

I contacted this company because the product looked like it would work, but I am always a little skeptical of informercials so I wanted to just try it for the $10.99 trial period. Well when I got the automated system, I was offered all of these additional priced items or offers and every time I would say no and it would reply with "you've made a great choice in getting (whatever the offer was)". I did not want all of these things and did not want to buy the "Red" outright without trying it at first. Anyway, at the end of the call, it was announced that my card was going to be charged $119.99. I was so mad because I didn't want any of what was offered. I sent them an email at 'help@redexerciser.com' on Monday morning (I placed the order on Sunday) and I also called every day multiple times to cancel my order and every single person said they couldnt find it. Everytime I spoke to a representative and asked for their name they would not give it to me. One rep told me that if the order was not in 48 hours after I called to place the order it would not be billed to my card. The following Monday I called again just to make sure and the order was "not in the system". I looked up my account and saw that they had taken out $134.99 and so I called back and waiting almost 45 min. and spoke to someone who said they could not cancel my order because it was shipped out 8 minutes ago. How could they have shipped it, when I just spoke to them and it wasn't even in the system? I asked for her name and she said she didn't have to give it to me due to safety reasons so I hung up and called back to get their address to report them to the bbb. I got a hold of another rep, and yes, she would not give me her name and when I asked for the address she asked why and I was honest and told her I was reporting Red Fitness to the BBB and she said, "look forward to it", and hung up on me. I contacted my bank and reported them for fraud and also reported them to the BBB. I hope no one else has to go through what I did.

On 2/6/07 placed an order for Red Exerciser. On 2/7/07, decided to cancel order, called 888-424-7623; placed on hold indefinitely.Hung up. Been trying everyday, a few times a day till this day to no avail. Did a search on Red Exerciser and came to this website. My God, didn't know that it was this bad. Decided to make a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau and called my credit card company. Since, I have not recv'd macine yet; will refuse delivery from whoever delivers it. I know this may take some time to resolve; but being ripped-off is something I will not tolerate. I urge everyone to file a complaint with the BBB.
