This product is garbage the first day I broke the first one sharping my kitchen knife and the second one the same thing I want my money back this was a rip off same one this people!

This product is truly a scam. Try and sharpen a knife and the thing falls apart, and only if you find the parts which fly all over the place and figure out how to piece it together can you try it again. The next thing I will try is super glue to weld the thing together, maybe this will be a preventative.

I ordered 2 samurau shark's. When I opened the package from S.S., both knoves were broken. The phone number they gave me didn't allow to speak to a person, recorded message. I returned the knives via U.S. Postal Delivery Confirmation receipt, so I have a record that the package was received. Because we didn't call & get an"RA" # for return, Samurau shark will not refund our money. Don't buy product from this company!

I bought this product and like everyone else got hosed for the extras. I'll know better next time. However, the Samurai Shark is a very good sharpener. I noticed later on that [] carries this at $10 without all the s&h fees. That's the way to go.

I bought the special buy one get one free. Sounded good on TV. I received the 2 sharpener's and sissors. I thought it would be about $29 or so, but when I checked out and was not able to turn back- they charged me $67.70. I was shocked and wanted to cancel my order but it was to late they had processed my credit card. They don't give you a chance to delete your order. They stiff you, big time. Save yourself a lot of trouble, buy them from the store. They do work awhile until they break.

I ordered the Samurau Shark and received them.I tried to sharpen a knife with it and the sharpening pieces fell in my hand.I tried to use the second one and it did the same thing. They are worthless.

We just bought our samurai shark without the hassle of paying for shipping and handling. It only cost us CND $9.98 (plus tax of course!) Just look for it at any [] stores. Though we don't get the 2nd one for free, but we only need one anyway and much less expensive than buying it at their 1-800 #.

Samurai Shark apparently also handles Bedazzler orders (though it does not disclose this at the time the order is placed online). I placed an order online at http://mybedazzler.com/ for $200+ and got a typical email confirmation. 10 days later, no sign of the Bedazzler. I call 920-966-6600 Customer Service and "Dana" from Samurai Sharks tells me it had all been on back order but would be shipping that day and to call back the next day for the tracking number. I call the next day and "Amy" tells me Dana canceled the order. I ask to speak to Dana but that is not possible. I ask to speak to the supervisor "Jessy" but she is not available and never returns my call. I'm not convinced the order was ever placed.

Well, like the others I got ripped! After ordering this on the phone I was told that there would be a $7.95 handling fee and asked if I wanted expedited shipping for an extra $4.95. I wasn't in any hurry so refused that. So, THREE AND A HALF MONTHS later I receive my Samurai Sharks! I was charged $47.70 for shipping, processing and postage for $29.95 worth of product. When I called customer service to see about returning it I was informed that I would only be reimbursed the $29.95. I have never paid such an about for shipping on anything! Of course they tell you $7.95 for shipping on the phone when you order but do not tell you that it will be on each piece thrown in the box or what the total charges will be. I could have had it overnighted and it wouldn't have cost that! And they must have sent it on a slow boat from China, where it was obviously made for it to take 3 1/2 months to get here. I told them that I will be reporting this to the BBB. Not that they care!!! They have already made their millions!

Tried to order awesome auger online, but the site is not user friendly and I ended up with an order of 4 augers plus 2 drills at a cost of $160. I cannot reach by phone, e-mail or website. This company should be investigated by the BBB and the Attorney Generals office for the scam.

My mother attempted to order the Samurai Shark, against my advisement. When she called the number on T.V. the call was completely computer generated and after putting in her credit card number the call was disconnected by the computer. My mother did not get a confirmation number or anything. We assumed the order did not go through. I watched her account and nothing was ever taken out. My mother again called and attempted to place an order (much to my dismay and against my advisement) and the same thing happened. At least a month after my mother’s second attempt to order the Samurai Shark her bank account was charged twice by this company for $33.85 both times. I checked their website and found a disclaimer stating orders could be canceled before credit cards were charged and with the confirmation numbers. We had no reason to believe either order had gone through before my mother’s account was charged and she didn’t get a confirmation numb either time so if we had thought the order had been placed we wouldn’t have been able to cancel. We are disputing the charge with the bank and have returned the items (even though my mother’s attempts to place an order were a month apart, she was charged on the same day for both orders and both orders arrived on the same day – one was even in the name my phone is listed under, my mother’s initial’s and median name). I have called the so-called customer service number twice and both times the same person, a girl calling herself April has answered the phone. She even remembered the first time I called and that I spoke with Tim (a supervisor or manager supposedly). Having worked at a call center before I know the odds of getting the same person are next to none and to remember that the person spoke with a member of management and who that person was is remarkable. I am going to do everything in my power to get rid of all infomercials and am going to find a lawyer to start a class action lawsuit. I will post more information here when I have the details beginning with a petition. Good luck to all of you and to anyone who is considering ordering the Samurai Shark, DON’T’! If it’s any good at all it will be available at a local store and the taxes you would be charged will be less than the shipping/handling/processing and if it doesn’t work or if it breaks, you can take it back and get your money back. This is one lesson you don’t have to learn from your mistake, use my mother’s or any other listed here.

It appears that there is a assoiated company to Samurai Shark called Smart Lidz that use the same methods in processing their offers. I went on line to order the smart lids, Buy 1 get 1 free accompanied by a succession of additional offersthe bottom line is that while the facts regarding shipping and handling charges are noted, after close review of the offer info, in the promotation page. the end result is that for $15.00 of merchandise the S&H is $20.85 for a total of $35.85. Lets face it with those S&H charges they could give the product away and still make a profit. While I consider myself to be an alert and savy comsumer I missed this. In addition the normal process from any on line mail order operation in to enter your order, come to a review or summary page , with all the details listed i.e product ordered, quanity, cost, s& H charges and total cost than directing you to accept or submit. With this operation when you receive this type of page it states that the order is being processed, There is no way for a person to email them or contact them. They are evasive when I did find a telephone number to call the autimated response is that " all of our operators are busy helping other customers please call back again. HA HA HA I believe that the number is a toll charge number thereby costing me additional money to try to reach them I am presently attempting to notify them via mail to cancel the order and the near duplicate onder their system processed and notify my credit card co. to deny the charges. But this is an extended process and I can see how some folks expesially the elderly can be scammed. The methods used are questionable and should be looked into by a Consumer Protection Dept or a State Attorney General's Office

I also was charged 3 times for shipping and handling. The TV add said $10.00 plus $7.95 Shipping and handling. The invoice was for $33.85. The customer service phone number on the invoice was 1-866-504-7705 which is a mail-order warehouse in Wisconsin. The company running this scam is the SAS Group Inc, 200 White Plains Rd, Tarrytown, NY 10591. Phone:914-332-7878 Michael S is listed as the president of the company. I talked with an employee named Glenda. When I told her I would contest the charges with my credit card company and file a complaint with the New York Attorney General's Office, she hung up on me! Maybe if more people called them directly and filed official complaints, it might do some good.

Ok, I had basically the same experience as everyone else, with the exception of .... I had previously NEVER received phone calls from tele-marketers, after purchasing this product, they sold my information to a plethora of companies who now call my cell phone, trying to "give me free stuff" , actually they are trying to sel me stuff I don't need, by sending it to me, and if I don't send it back, they assume I want to be a member, and than tey send bills to my house. I cannot prove that it was Samurai Shark, but I have never had this problem before ordering from samurai shark, and I have NEVER ordered anything from an infomercial before, I never will again. -thanks

Back again with my refund update. No money yet. It is now March 21, 08. I called again this morning and was told it would only be 10 to 15 business days until I get my refund. My order was placed Dec. of 07. Talk about a long wait. You just have to stay on top of them I guess. They get our money right quick and take forever to give it back! What a scam.

Ordered the Samarai Shark sharpening tool after seeing a commercial on TV. (Don't do it!) You will not be able to speak to a "live" person and the electronic operator will try to sell you more and more items BEFORE you are able to confirm your order for the sharpener. I tried hitting zeror and screaming "operator" in to the phone but that did no good. After 20 minutes I finally hung up. I was not sure whether I had placed the order or not. It came in the mail about 8 weeks later. The $10 product will cost you $33.85. You will pay $10 for the first sharpener and $7.95 "postage and handling," then you will pay an additional $7.95 P&H for the second "free" sharpener, then $7.95 P&H for the 2 pairs of free scissors (whether you wanted them or not). Grand total was $33.85! Unlike some other stories I read on this website, they said they would credit my credit card for $15.90. I was polite but firm with the customer service operator. Word to the wise- Be nice when you call and speak with customer service. They are just doing their job and cannot make any decisions on their own. Politely state your case and if they cannot meet your needs, ask to speak with a customer service manager. If you are still not able to get restituition, call your credit company and tell them you want to challenge a credit card charge. Next, go to www.BBB.org put in the company's name and address and then lodge a complaint with them. Finally, contact your state's Attorney General and report the company. This is the only way to stop companies like this from doing business. With this said, I must say that I was VERY impressed with the sharpening power of the tool. It DID what it advertises it can do. Best sharpener I have ever used. Question is, is it worth $33.85.

I saw this ad on TV, needed to sharpen some dull kitchen knives and thought it was a good deal at $10 and buy 1 get one free. First the phone order process was a frustrating. It is an automated system, which takes you through a never ending cycle of repeat up-sell prompts. There is no way out, and each up-sell takes you through at least 2 "no's" before you move on to the next up-sell. Finally, after over 20 minutes, my transaction was complete. Second, I ordered the express shipping for $4.95 extra. But this was useless, because the product is on backorder and took over 30 days to get to me. Third, it is not $10 for two. It is $10 plus a ridiculous S&H surcharge for TWO. $7.95 extra S&H for EACH even though they ship them together. This is deceptive! Fourth, on a positive note, I got the mystery customer service number from my bank (920-966-6600) and called to see what this experience would be like. After a 8 minute wait, she answered and was very nice. She sympathized with the initial phone order process and the rip-off S&H charges, and refunded my $4.95 for expedited shipping. Overall, the sharpener works, but is cheaply made. The ordering process is ridiculous. And they could not be any more obvious about their hunger for money and sales. The automated and relentless up-sell tactics are maddening for any educated buyer. Not a great experience overall. When I see those equally annoying commercials on TV, I have to immediately switch to another channel becuase it reminds me of my phone expereince. That voice...oh my gosh that annoying voice "are you sure you don't want add the kitchen super duper extra wigget to your order?, press one to add, press 2 if you don't want to benefit for the super duper wigget"...i press 2..."Are you sure you're sure"...repeat 2!..."let me turn you over to Bob who's gonna try to sell you again"....aaaahhhhhhhhh! people this goes on for about 10 products, all automated, you can't leave and go straight to the order...IT IS INSANE!!!
