I saw this ad on TV, needed to sharpen some dull kitchen knives and thought it was a good deal at $10 and buy 1 get one free.
First the phone order process was a frustrating. It is an automated system, which takes you through a never ending cycle of repeat up-sell prompts. There is no way out, and each up-sell takes you through at least 2 "no's" before you move on to the next up-sell. Finally, after over 20 minutes, my transaction was complete.
Second, I ordered the express shipping for $4.95 extra. But this was useless, because the product is on backorder and took over 30 days to get to me.
Third, it is not $10 for two. It is $10 plus a ridiculous S&H surcharge for TWO. $7.95 extra S&H for EACH even though they ship them together. This is deceptive!
Fourth, on a positive note, I got the mystery customer service number from my bank (920-966-6600) and called to see what this experience would be like. After a 8 minute wait, she answered and was very nice. She sympathized with the initial phone order process and the rip-off S&H charges, and refunded my $4.95 for expedited shipping.
Overall, the sharpener works, but is cheaply made. The ordering process is ridiculous. And they could not be any more obvious about their hunger for money and sales. The automated and relentless up-sell tactics are maddening for any educated buyer. Not a great experience overall. When I see those equally annoying commercials on TV, I have to immediately switch to another channel becuase it reminds me of my phone expereince. That voice...oh my gosh that annoying voice "are you sure you don't want add the kitchen super duper extra wigget to your order?, press one to add, press 2 if you don't want to benefit for the super duper wigget"...i press 2..."Are you sure you're sure"...repeat 2!..."let me turn you over to Bob who's gonna try to sell you again"....aaaahhhhhhhhh!
people this goes on for about 10 products, all automated, you can't leave and go straight to the order...IT IS INSANE!!!

Oh my God... I ordered the Samurai Shark buy one get one free and you get 2free pairs of shears and Samurai Shark Discount, and I was shocked when I saw my credit card statement. The total of my order was supposively as advertised and informed for $17.98 and my credit card statement indicated a $41.80 charge from them? I am so upset knowing this and another unappreciated time wasted over the phone trying to fix this.

Same story as the rest, over priced shipping and handling. But now you need to check your credit card statment. When you order they automaticly sign you up for a membership in Easy Saver and WC Value and charge your credit card each month. Easy Saver 14.95 and WC Value 16.95.

I checked out a lot of different sites that sell this product, and most of them either force you to buy more than one item, or accept "free" junk that you don't want and have to pay shipping for. Most of them also charge exorbitant shipping - I have seen shipping as high as $15 for ONE Samurai Shark! So I shopped around some more, and found that [] sells a lot of TV informercial products just the way I want to buy them - I purchased one Samurai Shark from them and paid only $6.95 in shipping - no "free" gifts, no extra shipping charges, no duplicate purchases, etc. I will now ALWAYS go to [] to check out an infomercial product before I even think to purchase it elsewhere!

just like everyone else, bought the $10 deal with $7.95 s/h fees receive the 2nd sharperner free + s/h fees / receive the shears free. By the time I got the bill it was over $35.00, called them to reverse cost and all dead ends. Use the sharperners and they seem to do what is promised. real test will be on my pruners, lopers and clippers. s/h handling is worse the []. [] and all the other info scams. should be a ceiling on s/h scams from the postal services in this country.

Same problem as others . I ordered the Samurai shark get one free and then the shears just pay s&h. I was shocked, my order was $27.90 and the packaging and handling is $27.80 for a total of $55.70 . I don't know why the P&h was so high. They all came in the same package
I never would have ordered it if I had known the P&h was so high. It just seems like another way to charge extra please be careful

I just got off the phone with the supposed Customer Service for Samurai Shark. I say supposed because when I called in to lodge a complaint and asked for the address to send a written complaint to they told me they were a 3rd party and that they did not have an email or postal address to write or anything else of use. I find this absolutely mind boggling. Unfortunately, I did not read the postings about what a scam samurai sharks were ahead of time. I purchased 3 Samurai Sharks which were $10 each. Although the website mentions the $7.95 extra for Processing (not Postage) and Handling, nowhere does it clearly state that they will charge $7.95 for every item they throw in the box, 5 of which were FREE! This came to a total of $30.00 for merchandise actually purchased, and this by the way, is all the credit card states, with a P&H charge of $55.65. So, for a product that I probably didn't need, and arrived 2 months after I ordered it, I paid almost twice the price for P&H which was not explained in a lucid manner upfront. Now, I would like to file a BBB complaint and cannot even find a state, much less an address to use to file the complaint. NEVER EVER do business with these people. If anyone knows an address to use to file with the BBB, please post it. Thank you.

I was charged more for the product and I called I was told they charged me 7.95 in shipping for each item. Clearly they are covering their tracks by their billing methods. This is truly a scam. I hate doing business with this type of company.

It was not bad enough that they kept me on the phone for what seemed like forever while they tried to sell me everything in the warehouse, but when the product gets what was supposed to be $17.95 is $38.80. That is essentially a extra $21.00 rip off to start with plus i do not even know if the product is any good or not a i have not even tried it yet. Considering the up front rip off plus what i have now been reading i have serious doubts as to the quality of the product. Time will tell, and so will i tell everyone to never buy any product that is advertised on the TV.

The usual-buy one, get one free $10 (plus $7.50 shipping & handling EACH.; not mentioned or hidden) The Zombie girl on the phone, after some polite heckling like "I'll send them back, no shipping & handling charges, told me that would give me $10 back, but if I keep them she could refund ONE of the charges ($7.50) Lesson: Do NOT buy from infomercials. Change channels immediately. Those who have been burned and get this far, hassle them-- []

$40 for shipping! You're out of your frickin' minds. The order came to $65! What happened to this great deal? I wasn't even able to confirm what I had ordered before the order was sent. So that means that by the time I saw what the total on the order was, it had already begun to process and there was no going back. It being a Saturday, their customer service department was closed. Wow! I don't know how $17.95 became $65. False, false, false scadalous advertisement. I've learned my lesson. I was stupid.

I went online to a website to order the product. I put my credit card information in thinking that I would be able to edit my "cart" accordingly. After saying 'no' to their many additional offers, a page came up saying that my order had been processed with 50 dollars of shipping charges! I wrote a letter canceling my order and mailed it to the physical address listed in the contact information on the website. A few weeks later my card was billed and the merchandise was shipped. I call to get a refund because I technically canceled my order; only to find out that the address and phone number listed in the contact information is not theirs. My order was escalated to their corporate office and they have turned my refund request down saying that shipping charges cannot be refunded. Even though I did my part as a consumer and canceled my order before it was processed- they won't do their part as a business and refund THEIR mistake.

I tried to learn more about the product on-line after seeing the infomercial. After seeing the outrageous shipping charges mount as I compiled my order, I decided not to buy and backed out of the website. I never completed the process or confirmed an order. Everything seemed fine until the product arrived 2 weeks later and a bill for $33.85 showed up on my credit card! Dealing with the company is futile. I had the charge struck from my credit card and recommend to anyone to do the same. Visa and MC will close the account if enough charges are contested and that will stop this company's ability to cheat people.

Ordered Samurai Shark - offer was buy one get one free. Bought two
net product $20.00 P & H 31.80 Total Shipment 51.80 All four items came in one mailing envelope. What A rip off to charge $31.80 For packing and handling. If I return product, they would credit my account with $20.00. This is a sample of EXTREME DECEPTION.

I should have one, but I don't. I ordered one and was charged for an order from the infomercial. Product has never arrived. I also paid extra for fast delivery in 3 = 5 days. I placed this order and paid for it 11 days ago. Can someone tell me how to get to a real person in this company?

I tried to order just 1 samurai shark with absolutely no extras or anything. I kept saying "NO!" to the stupid animated answering system they had that kept asking me if I wanted extras. What I received was 2 samurai sharks with 2 pairs of scissors. Even though I didn't want these items, and specifically said "NO!" every single time they asked if I wanted more, I ended up paying for them. What was supposed to be a $10 purchase turned into $35! This company is ripping people off left and right! How come they haven't been stopped already?! This is one of the biggest scams I have ever seen! THEY MUST BE STOPPED! BOYCOTT SAMURAI SHARK!
