I ordered these on the internet when I saw them. Thinking I would only have $15.90 (tops) for shipping, I was a little irritated when my credit card bill came through for $33.85. Granted it's not as much as some of you, but it is truly ridiculous. Well I received my order in the mail on 9/24/07. Yeah!! When I opened the box I had two pair of scissors and two augers. Augers? I didn't even order augers (and they look like they would break during your first use). So I pulled the receipt out and called the number 920-966-6600...push 1 for an e-mail, 2 for customer service. Well I did this three times and the last time I got a "voicemail box of the customer service supervisor" and I left the information they asked for. No one called back. I have called a total of 8 times now and no one ever answers the phone. I searched for the company that actually handles this and they are called Thill Logistics in Oshkosh, WI. To report this company to [] and click on the "File a Complaint" button on the left side of the page. You will have to enter THILL LOGISTICS in the company box and click on search. On the next screen THILL LOGISTICS will be in blue (link). Click on this and it will take you to the complaint form. Select the address of 35 Wisconsin Ave., Oshkosh, WI. The rest is just fill in the blank. Someone needs to put this company out of business. You might also want to just search the company and see all of the products they sell and the names they go by. These guys are true SHARKS!

Only $15.90 for shipping for two of them!!!! I got charged $47.70 for shipping and handling. I will not stand for it. I sent back everything and I'm asking my credit card company for a full charge back. I'm also reporting the company to the Wisconsin Consumer Protection agency.BTW when we ordered by phone they quickly hung up before we could ask the total with shipping.Should have figured this was going to go bad. If and when I get this resolved I'll post again

This is junk with a Capital J. I too was charged $15.90 for shipping 2 Samurai Sharks which are so light weight it could not have cost more than $2.00 to mail them. Save your money! I never got the scissors but I guess I'll be charged an exhorbitant shipping and handling fee for those too.

The shipping and handling cost exceeded the price of the product.
The item (buy one get two) was $10.Their P&H charge is $15.90 which is more than the product. Is there any recourse in recouping the shipping cost?

I order it on the internet and it said nothing about shipping cost till the order was complete and it was too late. I ordered 3 but only 2 came and 1 was broken. I called them and they said they could not refund the money. but they would send new ones. but that was 3 weeks ago and no new shipment. My son bought an sharpener better at [] a whole lot cheaper.

Just like everyone else I ordered by phone. I was getting the free kitchen sheers buy 1 get 1 free samurai sharpener and an extra sharpener for a gift. My total was to be 17.95 plus S&H (7.95) I think, but it turned out the P&H was 23.85. Thats crazy! Thats more than my total order. Also I made many attempts to call 920-966-6600 and all I got was the recording. 1 call I know I waited 15min. This sucks. I'm just like everyone else I work hard for my money. What a SCAM! To bad some people think they don't need to work hard.

Inputting this for my father. He saw the infomercial and thought it would be a great tool as he looks for things to help at his age. Being on a limited income and taking care of my mom is very taxing when choosing what may save money as every penny counts. He received the package and opened one of the sharpeners and tried to use it only for it to break immediately with no knife sharpened. The second one (that was FREE,ha) you can see is broken before he opens it. When calling the number provided, no answer only a repeating recording and the email address is bogus. This is infuriating to say the least. Taking money from people for nothing in return and then lying about every detail should have steep penalties. How can anyone do this? Do they have no conscience? No parents or loved ones that need every penny to count? If there is a way to get his money refunded it would be appreciated. Also Shipping and handling should never cost what he was charged. $10.00 for tool and $23.85 for S&H. The only consolation is that its our belief that whatever you give you get.

Wow! I sure wish I'd read these comments before I listened to a middle-of-the-night infomercial and ordered some Samurai products. I was also "up-sold" on the phone, then, after ordering $29.95 worth of knives, received only half the shipment....and what I received was not what I had ordered. Worse, the P&H was $47.65! (I think they charge $7.75 for each item shipped, even if they gave it to you on some "buy one, get one free" deal. This company sucks. Further, I've wasted 35-45 minutes on hold trying to reach customer service, and the email address they give you over the phone is unreachable.
Give these clowns hari-kari instructions?

To [] and all of the members. Please do not think of purchasing the Samurai Shark sharpeners. Although the cost of the sharpener is okay, they rip you off with their Shipping and handling charges. If you care to buy one, go to a [] or [].If you wish check out their website and read the number of complaints. As you can tell I was ripped off.

I ordered 2 sets of the samurai sharpeners wirh the free shears as advertised in Tv and expected to pay no more than $10.00 plus $7.95 for shipping & handling for each set.Low and behold they charged my account $67.70. Imagine $10.00 plus 23.85 s&h for each set. That I will not accept. I intend to return the items when and if I receive them and I expect to receive full credit with my credit card account. I will persevere for as long as it takes. I cannot believe this was such a Rip Off

I saw the ad for the knife sharpeners and called to order. I too became extremely irritated when the recording continued to "rattle on" regarding other items that they were trying to sell to me. I would have hung up but was unsure at that point what would happen since they had already captured my credit card information. I just received my sharpeners and a bill for $33.85 and am furious that I too, have been "taken" by this scam. I wish I could have read this prior to ordering. I will be calling my credit card company and pursuing options to redeem my "stolen" money.

I, too, am a victim of this company. I ordered one (1) + one free, and was quoted a total of $25.90. I recieved four and was charged $52.90 on my credit card. I cannot reach them by phone, so have filed a dispute with the card company. I don't know what the outcome will be, but it is being processed at this time.

When I phoned to order the Samurai Shark Sharpener, the recording kept trying to sell me more items, which I kept declining in NO avail. The charge which was supposed to be on my credit card was $10.00 + S&H, which was $5.and change (I believe) When I checked the charge on my credit card, prior to receiving the product, the charge on there was $61.65. I did phone the company and finally got through to a real person after holding for a very long time. The man on the line told me that I had also ordered 3 sets of some sort of knives, which I told him I had NOT. Also told him I was going to dispute charge with my credit card company. He told me it would do me NO good as they already had my money. When I did receive merchandise I returned it as "declined" without even opening it. I did dispute with my credit card company and they told me to deduct that amout when I paid my bill once I explained all to credit card company. After about 2 1/2 weeks of returning merchandise, I received a credit on my card of only $45.80. Which means they still kept $15.85. I tried to contact Samurai Shark but unable to reach by phone this time. I contacted my credit card company, spoke with dispute department and was told I would NOT have to pay the $15.85 as that was included in my dispute and to deduct that amount from my payment to credit card,...as she was crediting my account for that amount, as well. Samurai Shark is a company which should NOT be allowed to even be on TV or do business in any way whatsoever. Every state and TV channel should be aware of these people ripping everyone off. If it had not been for my credit card company working with me and looking out for my welfare, I still would have had to pay $15.85 for absolutely NOTHING. I am on a fixed income (disability) and can not afford these sort of charges. We all should stay away from ALL purchases from these infomercial scam artists and tell everyone we know to do the same. I would do anything I could, as my part, to put them ALL out of business.

I called to order the Samurai Shark buy one get one free. I was so irritated by the the computer that kept trying to sell me more products that I just hung up, but unfortunatly my cc information was already taken. I thought that since I had not completed the transaction, it would not go through. Well it did, and I might not have been so upset until I saw the total. Total product was 29.95 and P&H was 51.65. I called the customer service number and was on hold for 10 minutes before I finally realized that I had been taken. The web sight cannot be contacted either. I will call my credit card to try and get these charges reversed. Good luck to all.

This company is stealing, by charging Package and Shipping fees and not showing what they are charging, until the Samurai Shark Knife Sharpeners arrive. I ordered buy 1 get one free, Two of the Buy One get One Free, Four total and was charged $31.80 in Package and Handling charges? This makes Billy Mayes a Thief too. I am reporting this company to the Attorney General and if there are others who have fallen for this scam, I hope you will do the same. I am disputing this too with my Credit Card Company.

We received two Samurai Sharks in the mail unsolicited. We were charged $10 for one item, the second was "free". S&H was $15.90. Attempts to contact this company have been futile. E-mail is unanswered and phone contact is impossible. An endless recording is all we get. We consider this a theft since we did not authorize the use of our credit card. We had purchased another item, but not this one. Our credit card was used without our permission. We would like to know how to go about getting this resolved...

I ordered a knife sharpener and the charge was supposed to be $22.90 and my card was charged $72.65 and so I invesitgated the web site and it does not exist. I have seen this man on TV before and so I purchased the item and now find out it is a scam. The phone number does not work and it is not a 800 number. Don't buy from this scam. It is the first time for me to have a problem. I feel like such a idiot and am very angry. I am reporting it to my bank. Luann

SAMARAI SHARK: My wife asked me to call in an order for this knife sharpener - a product advertized on TV (07/22/07 “ION” Ch 30). The offer advertized is one (1) SET of items which includes: two (2) Samarai Shark sharpeners + one (1) Kitchen Scissors + one (1) Household Scissors. The price advertized is $10.00 per set + Processing and Handling ($7.95). The order call-in number given was: 800-943-0873. I called prox 11:30am and went through an automated voice system involving a “Billy Mays” and a “Sharon”. After presenting the product pricing as described above, I ordered one (1) set and declined to include additional sets. I then selected "Check By Phone" as the method of payment and provided the following information: Check number (xxxxx) / Numeric data from the bottom of the check - was told to not omit any part of the numbers (xxxxxxxxx / xxxxxxxxxx / xxxxx. Then several additional products were offered one at a time - at the end of each offer I was asked what quantity I wanted to offer and in each case I entered “0” on the phone and that was acknowledged by another automated voice with further information about the item offered and the "Sharon" voice would say “OK, let’s go ahead and add one of those to the order - to which I replied in each instance “No” and the response was “OK”. In that same manner each additional offer was explicitly and cleaarly declined - I did not accept any of the additional offers. The only items I authorized to be paid was one set ( 2 Samarai Shark sharpeners and 2 Scissors) for a total charge of $17.95. As the call was ending, the automated "Sharon" voice indicated my account would be charged with $33.?? (didn’t get the entire amount) and provided a customer contact number (920-966-6600) for any questions I might have and the call ended. I immediately called the number given and waited while it rang continually for five minutes before it timed out and I was disconnected. I called the number again and obtained an e-mail address (“cs@floamusa.com”) to which I sent a notice advising that the amount they had charged to my checking account was unauthorized and a stop would be placed on the check. STOP PAYMENT: I placed a Stop Payment order through my bank on-line (1:46pm), giving the chek number and the apparent payee (FLOAMUSA). Then I checked my account record on-line and confirmed that no payment had yet been made for the check. Then I called my bank and confirmed the Stop Payment - which they said will cost me $25. They explained that the payee may try to process the check under a different name - which may allow it to be paid (even though the Stop is designated for the payee and the check number. I was assured that, in the event the check is inadvertently paid, the bank can file a claim to recover the payment. FLOAMUSA FRAUD: I called Time Warner Cable (888-892-2253 / 4:15pm / Melanie) - and asked her to whom I should send a fraud complaint. She told me to send a letter to: Time-Warner Cable / LA Regional Office / 550 N. Continental Blvd - Ste 250 / El Segundo, CA 90245, Attention: Mr. Ike Wells, VP of Operations. She also said I could send an e-mail through their website (“www.TimeWarnerCable.com”) Customer Service option (Attention Mr. Ike Wells, VP Operations). I sent the above information about the Samarai Shark their website and to “www.infomercialscams.com”. .
