I have used Sheer Cover for years, and like the product very much. I only use the mineral foundations, and wind up throwing out or giving away the cleansers, mascara, etc. I contacted Sheer Cover to see if I could order the products that I like separately, and was told that I must be a member in order to do so. To become a member, you have to order the entire Sheer Cover kit, which includes all of the products that I didn't want to begin with.
What is worse, months ago there was a commercial advertising Sheer Cover for $9.99. I ordered the product, and was billed $30, with an additional $60 pending! I called the company, and was told that the 9.99 was a trial-meaning you could pay 9.99 to TRY the product, but would then be billed more money in order to keep it. I then asked why I was being charged 90.00 instead of the usual 30, and was told that the conditions of purchase were that you would pay 30 dollars and then, upon keeping the product, would be billed an additional 30 dollars a MONTH! I immediately sent the product back, and was quickly granted a refund.
After this ordeal, I carefully watched the 9.99 commercial the next several times I saw it on TV. NOT ONCE was it mentioned that there would be any additional payments due not even in fine print. It is a shame that this company is so underhanded in their advertising, as Sheer Cover is a good product.

I ordered the trial kit to see what the makeup was like since I have used mineral makeups before and really liked them. But this stuff is no different than the drug store brand whatsoever. In fact I prefer the Bare Naturals to Sheer Cover.

I ordered Sheer Cover in June 08 and paid 37.90 for the intro. kit. I spaced it out to receive the 2nd kit about 12 weeks later. I ended up cancelling my account July 08 since I did not really like the make-up. I don't use make-up often only when I go to a wedding or other special occassions. I checked out my credit card bill and saw there was a charge of $29.95 for July. I called Sheer Cover and discovered that the second kit is way more expensive than the intro. kit. They were going to charge me 2 installments of 29.95. It ends up that the 2 kits (the intro. kit and 2nd kit) will cost 97.80. I double checked their website and their terms and conditions section and did not see anything about the kits amounting to 97.80. I told the Sheer Cover rep. that I will be returning the 2nd kit (I did not open it thank goodness) since they have a 60 day back guarantee. I'm hoping that everything works out but I am out the shipping charge for returning the 2nd kit. Of course my husband blames me for not being more aware of what I am ordering. Am I the only one that feels stupid?

I am so mad! I first tried out the make up at the end of 2007. I did not like it. It made my skin itchy and I looked oily/cakey with it on. I wanted to return it but it was such a hassle to order it in the first place (I couldn't understand the customer representative and they kept telling me about specials even though I flat out said I was NOT interested!) that I kept the first kit anyways. Before I knew it I received ANOTHER one! I got annoyed and emailed to cancel but still have not received an answer and its STILL sitting in my room UNUSED. The last one came in April so I thought it was all taken care of. I went online and saw this website. I freaked out and checked my credit card statement online. Sure enough, I have SEVEN charges to my account which I only knew about TWO and there is a PENDING amount for another kit! The funny thing about this is all of the charges were put under MISC on my credit card bill. They never specifically tell you what they are charging you for. because they are SCAMMING YOU!! I just called my credit card company but since it is a Saturday they are unable to do anything but Monday they will be putting a stop to my credit card. They can’t promise that the pending charge has not gone through so I am out $200!! I am canceling my credit card and getting a new one. I also filed a report to the BBB (Better Business Bureau). I don’t know if they will be able to do anything about it but I think the more people who send them reports, they more they will be pushed to do something about it! I am so telling EVERYONE I know to NOT buy this crappy make up. I now buy my make up, [], at a beauty store called [] and I love it!! It is very similar to []. If I do not like it I can return it right in the store. So ladies, do the same and forget about Sheer Cover!! I have never had any problems ordering anything from tv before until this. I know my money is gone but that will not stop me from spreading the word that this make up is BAD, BAD, BAD and a huge waste of MONEY!!

I bought sheer cover as a gift for someone in my family, they were not very impressed and so I cancelled future deliveries by phone and letter but they still keep taking the money from my debit card and sent me more product while I was away. this was never collected and the post office returned it. My bank say they can't stop them taking money from my debit card and I have to write to them again.

My mother bought Sheer Cover for me for a Christmas gift & I liked it. After that she kept getting charges on her debit card for products that she never received. Finally after several attepts to cancel her account with Sheer Cover, she had to close her bank account. She did receive another kit recently, but sent it back asap. So, a couple of days ago I got a collection letter from Sheer Cover for that kit. I never even ordered from the company. It seems that when she ordered the first kit they asked her if it was a gift & she gave them my name. I called the # on the collection notice & we faxed the tracking # from the return. But I think that this is a bunch of crap.

This is the second time I've written my complaint about Sheer Cover on this website - that's how mad I am at them. My first complaint was about their sending me a second package of Sheer Cover after I distinctly told them I only wanted one. I called their company three times about this and was told they'd send me a sticker to mail the second package of Sheer Cover back to them at no charge. Well, I never got those stickers. After two months, Sheer Cover took the (approximately) $36.00 charge off my credit card for the second package. This lead me to believe that I was getting it free. Meanwhile, another month goes by and, all of a sudden, I received the two stickers to mail (on the same day). Luckily, I hadn't open the second package and am able to send it back. I think most people would have opened it by this time and not been able to send it back, meaning they'd probably be charged for it. This company has more tricks up its sleeve to scam people out of their money than any company I've ever dealt with. I will probably not order anything from TV again because I've had similar problems with other TV products. Sheer Cover has been the absolute worst though.

I used Sheer Cover for quite a while, until I stopped working due to a move. With not putting on makeup every day, I realized that when I did wear it, my face itched! Sheer Cover contains Bismuth Oxychloride, which is a KNOWN skin irritant! I canceled my order and began using [] instead (they were great...you can order a sample to try for just the cost of shipping, and there is NO club to join! They are also cheaper than Sheer Cover). I just got a call this evening from Sheer Cover, wanting me to return and promising me all kinds of freebies if I would just pay $19.95 for a new kit. I'm sure that doesn't include the shipping and handling charges either. The guy would NOT take NO for an answer! He also told me they had reformulated the makeup and that it had been dermatologically tested (was it NOT before?!); however, when I checked their website, the ingredients are exactly the same! I finally had to just tell him, Sorry, not interested and hang up.

I recently got off the telephone with a Sheer Cover representative. She hung up on me and was very rude and instantly defensive. 3 months ago, I ordered Sheer Cover over the telephone. Well, I should have known right away when that operator was rude. I was very confused by the price and payment. On the television it is adverstised as $60. yet I ended up being charged a total of $119.90 (split up in 3 payments). I was confused from the beginning and after asking questions for 30 minutes and receiving rude answers, I should have known better. Well, I received my package, which was not worth it. The cover up is cakey and oily at the same time; it looked horrible on and made me break out. The only good thing was the bronzer, which I could have bought anywhere. Not only this, but the packaging info is misleading. I was told I would only be charged the 119. (which is my fault for agreeing too) but I was told I would receive another package, including free gifts. I never received anything. A fourth payment of $46.00 is coming out of my account for the exact same package (no new products, no free gifts). I have to send it back, hope they remove the charge from my account, and now, the rude woman who hung up me said I cannot get out of the program. So, my account will keep getting charged! Isn't there something that can be done?

I too was excited to try this product. Ordered starter kit in Nov/07 and was very disappointed. I returned further kits and tried to go online to get the orders cancelled. Surprise! Canadian's cannot use the website to contact Sheer Cover. There is an option to change delivery dates, but not to cancel the orders completely. To my dismay, the creidts for orders returned were less than the value charged to my credit card. I finally called their customer service department and was informed that the deliveries would stop and credits made. My next credit card statement had one credit amount and another charge! To date I am out seventy dollars. Am still working on it.

I SAW THE INFORMERCIAL,
ORDERED IT,
AFTER READING ALL THESE COMPLAINTS I BECAME WORRIED AND CALLED TO CANCEL ANY NEXT ORDER AND THAT I JUST WANTED TO PAY FOR THE KIT (WHICH THEY TELL U ONLY COSTS 29.99)
THEN THEY ASK IF U WANNA UPGRADE FOR ONLY 6.00.
SO I CALL TO CANCEL AND THE GUY TELLS ME TO JUST GIVE THE PRODUCT A TRY, AND THAT I WOULD ONLY BE CHARGED WHAT I WAS TOLD IN THE BEGINNNING,
WELL I GOT THE MAKEUP KIT,
I TRIED IT ON
AND IT BURNED MY FACE
I HAVE A HUGE RASH ON MY LIPS AND CHIN, I ONLY USED IT FOR 3 HOURS,
AND WASHED IT OFF CUZ IT BURNED TOO MUCH,
I CALLLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TOLD ME I OWE THEM MORE MONEY FOR THE KIT I ORDERED (119.00)
WHAT IN THE WORLD????
SO I SAID I WAS SHIPPING IT ALL BACK AND WANT A FULL REFUND, (WHICH IS WHAT THEY TELL U, THAT U CAN RETURN IT FOR ANY REASON)
BUT THE GUY TOLD ME THAT WOULD BE FINE, BUT SINCE THE MAKE UP IS BURNING MY FACE, THE COMPANY POLICY IS THAT I DONT NEED TO SEND IT BACK, THAT THEY WILL REFUND MY MONEY IN FULL,
SO I AM WAITING TO SEE THE RESULTS OF MY FOOLISHENESS FOR ORDERING SOMETHING I SAW ON TV,
DONT ORDER THIS PRODUCT, IN FACT ANYONE ELSE INTERESTED IN GETTING TOGETHER TO FORM A LAWSUIT WORTH MILLIONS AGAINST THESE PEOPLE? I WILL CHECK BACK TO SEE IF ANONE IS INTERESTED.

I ordered sheer cover (Guthy Renker) by Leeza Gibbons commercial and cancelled immediately. However I tried my daughter’s which I did not like, it was not like what Leeza Gibbons says it will do. My daughter also did not like. Then I was getting this [] charges to my credit card for 33.94 every month that I have never ordered. I have been disputing this charges for 6 months now. Is there anyone out there who can help me with this fraudulent charges to my credit card. [] do not even have my account number so as Sheer mineral. My credit company is saying they contacted [] and they told them my purchase was valid. It is outrageous! So where do I go from here to solve this problem? My credit card company is []. Don’t apply for that credit card number either. Please someone, help me if you know what else I can do.
I can not believe Leeza Gibbons is actually promoting this product.

I recently tried the Sheer Cover Product and was ultimately disgusted with the results....it looked so cakey and fake!!!! I spent a few minutes out in the heat of Central Texas and saw that the MINERALS were literally melting off of my face.....I emailed customer service and their response was an ultimate JOKE!!! They completely ignored me and simply stated that I should use the Finishing Powder to make it picture perfect.....HELLO, then why isn't it included in the trial kit???
TRY SOMETHING ELSE, THEY SUCK!!!
I would love to show AMERICA what their product really does to innocent women wanting to look their best : )

I just got off the phone, one more time with Sheer Cover customer service.(if you can call that customer Service)
I placed an order in Feb 08, after calling in April, I received the kit they send after the introductory. I was charged for the intro kit, then for a second one. Without the intro kit I had NO brushes, no booklet or CD on how to use the Sheer Cover.
Finally received the intro kit mid May 08.
I call in May and told them I do not want the 2nd kit, the product is not worth the hassles of calling monthly just to receive my first kit. They sent me a return label for the 2nd kit, BUT it is only good in the United States. I am in Canada, this label is of no use to me. Once again I had to call customer service told them to forget my address, my name, do not EVER contact me or touch my credit card again. It should NEVER have take from Feb to July to straighten out a problem.
I did get all the charges to my credit card back after using too much of my time and energy.
I will never deal with Sheer Cover or [] again.....

Ah hem i used sheer cover. Horrible makeup. First off they cant match alot of skin tones. It dosnt blend in at all. People told me all the time that i needed to blend my makeup more which i hated. It makes ur face so dry. Which in turn makes u itch ur face causesing u to touch ur face more and cause acne. I heard from many different skin professionals thats its filled with chemicals. So they lie about the chemicals that is in it. The brushes they give u are horrible and there not quality. I tried the [] makeup. This is much better it blends in. Dosnt make ur face dry. Very nice finish and nice brushes. Cheaper too. My advice is dont use sheer cover theres many other products that are cheaper and better for your skin.

Sheer Cover sent me a second box of makeup even though I clearly stated I only wanted one trial box and no more. I called them using their 1-800 number and told them I didn't want the second box of makeup. The person on the phone said they'd send me a postage return label so I could send it back free. I never received that label. I called them back and asked them again for a label. They said they'd send it to me. After 10 days, I didn't receive the label. I started thinking I'd have to talk to a lawyer about this, so I was going to start by sending them a certified letter proving I told them what I did and didn't want. I can't even send them a certified letter because they don't have a street address. All they have are PO Box addresses. I tried the internet yellow pages search for Sheer Cover, Des Moines, IA 50336 and no address shows up. Sheer Cover is a scam!!!
