This product does not work. There is no way Leeza Gibbons or any of the stars use this product. Leeza looks like she has a clay mask on her face - you can't get that look from her product. I am going to try to send it back and get my money back. It sounds like that won't be easy. Is anyone working on a class action lawsuit or have you contacted the CA state's attorney's office? Why on earth would Leeza Gibbons allow her name to be associated with this scam? If you have not yet bought this product - dont do it. They don't care if you are happy with it, that's how these scams work. They make so much money on the front end "Buy Now" gimmick, who cares if you never make a second purchase.

I ordered this product a few months ago not knowing that i would be charged monthly for it. I would really love to cancel my account with this product as soon as possible!!

I made the mistake of ordering this product online yesterday and then saw this website..go figure. Who would think that a product like this and linked with a well know celebrity would be a scam of peoples hard earned money. Well, I called this morning to cancel my order before it has even left their warehouse and as you would suspect they can't cancel the order. They mail it anyway, making it impossible for the customer to get reimburssed. I was told it takes 4-6 weeks for them to recieve it and who knows how long before my cc gets reimbursed. Luckily I used a $50 pre-paid card but they still have my name and address. I told the woman I will not be opening the product or trying it so she told me I will not be recieving any future products. Who knows if that is the truth. I asked her if there is a confirmation # or something proving we had this conversation and she gave me her name and a 5 digit employee id #. That is probably made up as well but I just wanted to share that just incase that part is true.

I also called to get the product for a supposed monthly payment of about $29. Which they dont tell you it only comes in a 90 day supply. so you pay over $100 total. I tried to tell the woman then I didnt want it, and I had to "call back, and tell them to cancel it" then they told me by giving them my card number i had automatically given permission to complete the order. And now they cant cancel it until I get the product, which they first charge me for, and then return it. and HOPEFULLY get all of my money back and then change my card number.

Last April, 2007, I saw the infomercial on this product, and told my husband that I wanted to try it, so he checked out their product online and decided they were ok, and then called them and made an order, giving me the phone to complete the details. I told them that I only wanted it for me and my daughter to try (she was only 13). I told them I didn't want to receive more shipments, and that I would call back to order more if we liked it. I was assured that was no problem. Then I was asked about my dgts complexion. I said she had minor acne so they offered me a sample of their Vita Power vitamins. I said that she wasn't fond of taking vitamins but I'd try a sample. As I understood, the sample was only $4.95, and the Sheer Cover would be $29.95. I did get the shipments, separately, and they did take the money out right away, in those amounts. No problem there. I didn't like the Sheer Cover, but my dgt did, tho she didn't like the vitamins and has not taken any more of them. Then I got another pkg of the Sheer Cover, so I accepted that. $29.95 wasn't too much to spend for my dgt. I also called to cancel the program. But, next thing you know, there are more chgs taken out, then more pks start showing up. I refused each one, AT THE POST OFFICE, then called GRC back and explained that I'd cancelled the orders and why was I still getting them. I was told something about it takes a couple of weeks or so for the system to catch up, but they would make sure it was cancelled and a refund would come as soon as they got their product back. Well, long story short...come October, I did get another shipment or two, and, as before, wrote refused on the pkgs, in front of the Post Master, who also scanned them as refused, then called the company again. This time I was told that I'd never cancelled before. Furious, I told them to consider it cancelled! I asked for the money to be returned to my account but was rudely told that until they got all their products back, I wouldn't get a refund. I hung up on them, and called my bank and made a complaint. At that time, I talked to a woman, there, who also had the same problem with them, with no results. She suggested that we cancel the card and they'd send out a new one. So we did. Now, 4 months later, still no refund (they could send a ck since they have our address), and today (2-23-08), there was ANOTHER shipment from Sheer Cover at the Post Office! Again, I wrote refused on it, and the Post Master scanned it as refused. Luckily, tho, there have been no further charges from my account, but they owe me something around $300+ they have STOLEN from my account!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

First off, I was very impressed with the whole "mineral" makeup... I tried some my mom bought by "Christina" and it's great, but when I saw the price for Sheer Cover I said to myself, heck...half the price, I'll give it a go..... well I got off the phone with a rep about an hour ago, and was so disappointed! First off, hearing about ten other agents in the background didn't make me feel good, "red flag"... So the guy takes my name, and address, email..which I didn't provide, then said whats your Credit Card Number... I said, "excuse me? I have questions about the product and want information, I'm not going to give you my CC#. Needless to say the conversation went on for about 15 mintues, and I was unimpressed with how they say it's $9.95 with $7 shipping for a (90) day supply...and that after 30 days from the day they ship, they will charge your card $29.95 for 3 months, so come June, I would be hit with that fee thru to August.... not to mention that I caught him in a lie! he said we would only bill you after we ship the product!.. So I said look, you're shipping a product today if I buy, in that case I'm paying a trial fee, and then you're going to charge me for something that isn't being shipping in June or July?!?! NO WAY! I said, is there any other options? he said, well you can buy a 90 day supply for $92 dollars.. a one time fee....yet they still set it up for reoccuring payments and shipping after the initial 90 days!. Or you can do a 30 supply for $52 and it not be reoccuring.. SCAM SCAM SCAM! be honest, don't lock people into promos w/o being honest from the get go. Needless to say I didnt' buy it then, and I'm not going to!

I bought the $29.99 starter kit and received it very fast but was not impressed with the product itself. Coverage was not near as easy as they would suggest and as far as a "natural" look goes... I could have camouflaged my face with leaves for a better natural look! The mascara causes a burning sensation in my eyes so I can not use it. The over priced brushes are no better than what you can pick up at the dollar store. So to sum it up, I will not be purchasing any further products from them. I will Pick better products up at my local Wal-Mart at a more reasonable price.

Hi all i just wanna thank you for this complaints webpage. I rang to order sheercover and gave them all my details including my cc details. i never recieved anything from them and i am worried now that i will be charged by them for nothing. ill tell you its a holy terror how these people can get away with conning people out of there hard earned cash. I also dont know why these other famous people on the ad can help them .this is fraud and breaking the law. maybe legal action should be the next step.

I ordered the advertised $29.95 intro offer, but BEFORE ever hanging up realized that they were going to charge me $99, I told them nevermind then I was no longer interested in ordering the product. KEEP IN MIND- I never hung up from the initial order! I was told "OH, I'm sorry you will have to call back and cancel", I asked if I was understanding correctly that he could not cancel it for me, and stated that it did not make sense when I hadn't even completed the phone call or the order. He told me to call back and they would take care of it. I called back and I was told I had to call customer service at a separate number. I called customer service and they said there was nothing that they could do because I wasn't even in the system. The very nice young lady with customer service admitted that they young man taking my initial order was dishonest and he COULD of cancelled it, but lied. I believe in honest business and think that it is time that citizens demand higher morals in the business world. I will never do business with this company again at this point unless they do something to correct the dishonesty of their employee. Integrity is more important to me than any thing that a makeup product can offer. Apparently, integrity is something that is lacking in this company! Hopefully, I will get a refund but I am feeling skeptical at this point.

I ordered this product for my wedding make-up in Nov. 2006. I actually like the product, but would NEVER recommend it to anyone because of the poor customer service and dishonest business practices. I have a similar story to the others posted here - called repeatedly to cancel my 'membership' and was assured that I would not receive anymore products or be billed. But the packages kept arriving on my doorstep and my credit card continued to be charged. Every time I called back they said they had no record of me calling to cancel. When they finally suspended my account (after over $150 of charges) I tried to return the pile of unopened products and they told me it was too late!!! Not only that, but they sent me three packages of the wrong color so I can't even use it!!! It's a shame that they've ruined a perfectly good product with shady business practices. Kind of reminds me of those old 1 cent CD scams where you end up having to buy like 100 CDs at full price. Didn't someone make a law against this kind of scam already??!?? Do not purchase this product.

So I saw the informercial for Sheer Cover $9.95 for the trial kit. So I went online and read everything I could to make sure it was a good deal. Little did I know. That the $9.95 was for the 30 day kit and you MUST return it or you will be charged the rest of the $97.80!! Then you're locked into a commitment of paying $97.80 EVERY 3 months! They slide the payments right by you because they don't take the full amount out of your account at once. They take $17 here and then a couple of weeks later $30 and then a couple of more weeks, another $30..and so on. I called and pretended I had just heard the special on TV and wanted to see if they would share this information with me and they didn't say ONE word about paying the full amount after the trial!!! I am NOT happy with this product or their service.

I became a member and ordered the product sheer cover. It made my face break out so I called and canceled. When I got my next bill for my CC. they were charing me for 3 more which would be if I stayed a member. I called customer service again an they had no record of my cancel,so they did it then. But now I am paying for a product that I only received one of and over charges on my CC. They did reinburse my some of the amount back (for the makeup) but not all my over charges an they keep adding up.They gave us a fax # to send my bill to and a letter to explain the problem. My husband has tried to fax to the # many many times but it does not work. Finally today I called them and they gave me an address to send in my paper work. Any one out there make sure you make copies of all papers you are sending so incase they say they did not get them you have another copy. Verry upset about all of this an the time it hass taken for them to respond to my problem.Hope the address is good.

This has been an awful experience. My credit card was charged and I was promised that it would be refunded. It has not been done. Tonight, I called Sheer Cover Customer Service and was assured that I would receive a refund and a mailing label to mail the unauthorized package back to Sheer Cover. I am very disappointed in this company. I am also disappointed with Leeza Gibbons. She should be more responsible. This ordeal will make you skepical of any infomercials. Shame.....

My complaint isn't really about the product, but about the shabby customer service and incompetent representatives that prevented me from ever receiving the product. I've been trying for two months to receive my starter kit from Sheer Cover. I've made numerous calls to customer service and recently had to cancel my order after five calls and two unsuccessful e-mails to customer service. Call 1: I ordered the product and dealt with an impersonal sales rep. I shrugged it off because I figured she was new and everyone has to start somewhere. Placing the order took forever because I had to repeat myself numerous times and it seemed like she was tripped up by the script requiring her to sell 50 additional items and upgrades that she could barely talk. Call 2: Called to check on my order since it had been two weeks and the kit was set to arrive in 5-7 days. The operator informed me the product was sent and received, but it turns out to the wrong address. He corrects my info and "sends" another to the correct address. He was a great guy (I thought), very pleasant, apologetic, and willing to explain everything he was doing and what had been done. Call 3: I called to check on the status of my order after a week just to be sure the information was changed and the shipment was on its way. The operator tells me the product was in fact shipped and my information was correct in the system. Call 4: After waiting two more weeks and still no product, I call to check on the status. I encounter the WORST representative to date. He sounded like he could barely complete a sentence and answered the phone with the greeting of another company (oops). He tells me the product was never sent and tries to start the process of sending a new kit. He was very ineffective in explaining what he was doing, and at some point made it seem as if he was going to charge me for a new kit if he sent it. When I expressed my concern he became loud with me and even though he just seemed frazzled by the situation I was still taken aback. In the end, he said my product was on it's way. Call 5: After two weeks, I called back to check on the status and spoke with a monotone representative who seemed to hate life in general. She informed me the kit had been sent, but instead of the original 5-7 days it would arrive in 2-3 weeks, so I should receive it within a week. I also shared my frustration and she refunded 50% of my money. E-mail 1: A week after speaking with the last representative, I decided to send an e-mail inquiring about the status instead of calling. I received a default e-mail saying it would take 4 to 5 days to receive a response. I was quite irritated but received a response within the day. The representative was quite pleasant in her e-mail, but told me they could send another kit to my address since the others hadn't been received and I'd have to submit a new address. E-mail 2: I responded that that was unacceptable because I didn't have another address. I went on to explain that I've received many parcels over the past two months from various services and haven't had any issues. I asked for a full refund because I wasn't interested in waiting another 2-3 weeks. E-mail 3: I received an e-mail, "Thanks for your e-mail. I've refunded your account." Really...I send a heartfelt e-mail of concern and you can't even apologize or at least acknowledge I have a complaint. I was officially done with this company.

I ordered the Sheer Cover up from that same infomercial that stated it was $9.99. I got one for me and one for my mother. But I had this pre paid debit card that only had $40 left on the card. They sent me my make up and sent my mother hers. And now the card is not in use so if they tried to charge me for it,it won't go thru. I know they will bill me but I am going to fight it because I didn't realize either until I recived it that I as going to be billed in instalments over time for over $150. Keep on reporting this site, call your local news if they do things on rip off scams. Have a good day Tammy

I ordered Sheer Cover after seeing their infomercial. The day after ordering online, I recieved an email stating that they were out of product. I immediately called the customer service number and cancelled my account. The rep assured me I would not be charged. I asked for a confirmation number but he said they don't have them, but that a letter would be sent to my home. A couple of weeks later I recieved three successive emails stating 1. that payment had been recieved..2. that my order was processing..3. that my order had been shipped. The next day it was sitting outside my door...very cheap quality materials. They charged my cc, and will not cancel my account (I called back today to find out what was going on). They told me the only way to get my $ back is to ship the product off to them, but it costs almost as much to ship it to them return reciept. The customer service guy was extremely rude and unhelpful, would not confirm cancellation of my account or send me a reship label or anything. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I urge all others to also! They have a AAA rating and should not by the looks of it. Stay away from Sheer Cover aka Gunthy Renker!!!

I seen the commercial for this Sheer Cover product a couple of weeks ago, and I wanted to try it out. So without me doing my research I placed an order for the first time starter kit. It was not until after I order the product, I seen complaints about this product. I wish I would have done my research first. I proceeded to cancel the order but I was told I had to wait 24 hours. I called the following morning then I was told it take 72 hours for them to process orders. Then I told her I was just trying to cancel my order and she told me "THERE ARE NO WAYS FOR THEM TO CANCEL ORDERS". She said I would still be charged so I just went ahead an cancel my credit card immediatly. I havent even got to try the product and the service was bad.. please do your research before buying any products..

When placing my order for Sheer Cover I was told I had to be a member of their club to get an introductory price of $9.99, which the introductory kit is advertised on the infomercial for only $9.99, but was forced to agree otherwise to even sample the product after being bombarded with other offers that have nothing to do with the makeup. There is absolutely no kit truely offered for $9.99! I have sifted through YEARS of online complaints about Sheer Cover's unfair ad practices only after having a bad experience myself. Sheer Cover should be ashamed and should be forced to be honest about the prices of their products. If they offer a kit for $9.99, there should be a kit for that price! $9.99 ended up being well over $100.00! That's a huge price difference! Why hasn't this company been stopped for dishonest ad practices? If you look at the BBB site, they have a great rating! I simply don't understand. I have no problem with the makeup, I kept it. It's just unfair how they are misleading people and getting by with it all these years.

This product is a total scam!!!! The product itself is garbage, and this company will keep your account information on file and randomly bill you for products that you do not order or receive. It is total BS - stay away from this phony company and its incompetent, rude so-called service personnel that cannot access your account without your giving them your complete personal information... if you offer minimal info. for them to access our account and cancel whatever it is that they have you signed up for, they will simply hang up on you. Sheercover needs to be shut down immediately!!!!!!
