When I ordered Sheer Cover, I asked to receive the two lightest shades possible. When I received my sharter kit, the colors were too dark. The kit also contained a brochure with other products offered and there was a lighter shade available than those I received, as well as a lighter concealer shade. The company did send me a full-size container of the lightest foundation. I was told I had to receive a kit every other month and, after 2 or 3 kits, I had enough mineral powder to last a year. It wasn't until this time when I was told that kits could be customized. However, I was told I had to order 7 products, the number one received in the initial kit, just to find out later that I was only required to order 4 products per kit. As well, I did not find out for over 6 months that it is not necessary to receive a kit every other month. In fact, one can order kits as far as 5 months apart, which I then asked for. But, during the 5 month period, I decided I no longer wanted to receive Sheer Cover, so I wrote the company, asking to cancel my membership. I recently received the 5 month kit and, two days later, I received a call from a collection agency, asking for full payment for this last kit...which I did not want. *A Note to All* Sheer Cover is one of a multitude of products promoted by Guthy-Renker. I also ordered the Windsor Pilates system through this corporation. After receiving the intial kit, I was told I would receive one video per month at $19.99. Guthy-Renker mailed my kit in the later part of the month, so I received it just over a week before month's end. A week later, I was charged for a double order at $48.00. When I contacted customer service, they told me that this was a regular procedure for them. To return the DVDs I did not expect to receive until the end of that month, I would have had to get a RMA number, write a letter to Guthy-Renker, stating why I was returning the producta, and pay postage for the return. Needless to say, I cancelled my membership on the spot. I would suggest to anyone interested in ordering a product through this corporation to be certain of all the terms and conditions before making any kind of purchase from them.

I watched the infomercial and I, too got hooked into the whole speel about having to sign up for shipments each three months. I told them that if that was the case to just forget it. So they did send me the sample kit. And somehow I was able to purchase just some of the products that I liked. That happened once. Now I can't get it at all and I am trying to find something comparable to Sheer Cover because I do like it. The ridiculous thing about the way they are doing this is costing them a lot of money by turning people away that only want particular items. I believe ultimately they will go out of business. There's a of makeup companies out where you order what you want when you want it. In fact most do it that way.

This totally does not cover blemishes, birthmarks, freckles or scars. It comes in TINY jars and doesn't even stay on very long. Maybe a few hours. And the fillable makeup brush? HA, that's a joke. I think a monkey could have done a better job making that.

I too fell victim to Sheer cover. I ordered it over the phone and was at first bombarded with information about the product and a number of add ons. I was left a little confused but eventually agreed to the 30 day trial. First they sent me the wrong shade. Then I received a bill for $39.00 but then realized that it said that I would becharged an additional $60 for the product. I called and pretty much got the run around. No one attempted to help me. What a rip off. I returned the product and luckily got my refund. What ever you do, do not order this product!

I just ordered the product and then I read the reviews on the web. When I ordered I didn't realize that I was ordering continual shipments. So I called to cancel and they told me I couldn't even though their website states clearly that you can cancel your order at any time I couldn't cancel my original order until the goods are received. The reason being that my original order was not in the system and I'd have to wait until the order was shipped. When I pointed this out they said to stop the payment with my credit card company. I called the company and they said this was not possible. Do not purchase this product. You will be in for a very frustrating time.

So I made my first purchase on 06/08/2007. When I received the package, I couldn't begin to tell you how disappointed I was. The containers the product came in were sample sized, first off. The lip gloss kit resembeled something you'd get out of a $4.99 little girl's princess purse...and honestly, I wouldn't even pay that much for it. I decided to try out the powder at least. Unfortunatley, I was not satisfied; which isn't a huge problem for me since they clearly advertised a 100% back guarantee. I called them back and requested them to cancel any future orders. 5 days later, my account was charged $97.80 for my next 90-day supply. On top of that, my bank is now charging me a $25 overdraft fee for this unauthorized charge. I called Sheer Cover and they asked me to refuse my next shipment at which point a refund will be issued. I am now disputing this with my bank and requesting them to prohibit any future charges from this company. I suggest you do the same if you run into any problems. Don't waste your time with the Sheer Cover, deal with your Bank. Hope this helps.

Don't waste your time on Sheer Cover products. I allowed myself to get my hopes up & get suckered into this scam company's products. The products are useless. They don't cover scars as advertised in the infomercial. The worst part is that without your permission or authorization, they will take 97.80 from your bank/credit account prior to the end of the 30 days! On the "invoice" you recieve with your intro 30day kit, It is clearly stated in bold letters, that it is "NOT A BILL", furthermore, no where on this "invoice" is a statement of "$97.80 will be charged to your account." It does state that "your complete satisfaction is important to Sheer Cover and Guty-Renker." I absolutely ban Sheer Cover & Guthy-Renker. They do not care. They just want your money. We shall see if my money is refunded to my account.

Report this to the Better Business Bureau! I just submitted my claim because on 4/24/07 I selected NOT to receive multiple shipments when I ordered the "Intro kit" on line. I received confirmation I would be charged $35.90. However, on 4/26/07 I was charged $39.04. I received the shipment and then a few weeks later received another shipment that I had requested NOT to receive (6/4/07 = $46.46). I decided not to go through the trouble of returning it and gave it to charity as a gift. Now I'm trying to cancel and there is no way to do so on their website and I can't get through to the customer service line (800-506-6291). Meanwhile, I changed my shipment date to Sept to ensure they don't charge me for yet another unwanted shipment - however they charged me $29.95 on 7/2/07.

I am so upset. I ordered Sheer Cover, and it was horrible. I felt comfortable because Gunthy-Renker also does Proactiv, and I have been using that for years. I was wrong to assume that this product would also be high quality. I used the mascara, and MY EYELASHES FELL OUT! Please, don't use the mascara. Also, the product made me look like a corpse. It looked like Halloween makeup. It was terrible. It made my skin itch and sting, and I am just sooooo upset. Anyway, I hope someone reads this BEFORE they order this product. (I, too was extremely insulted to see the size of the product I ordered. It was like a sample size.) The whole thing was a bad experience.

so I ordered this last night at 2am >.< I should have know better! I had that gut feeling (better known as God) that i shouldnt but i was dazzeled by the price and celebrity endorsment and the product seem to work so well! CRAP! all crap! after reading all these stories my heart just sank, I was so excited to recieve the product and plannned to use it for my wedding if it was as great as it looked....now i know i will go strait to bare essentials which is the REAL makeup i am looking for not the shabby SCAM version!!! I went straight to the heart of things and called my credit card company to completley void out my card and get a new one, I told them it was a fradulent company and so they very helpfully voided the card before this SCAMY SHAMEFUL company's payment was processed, it made the whole mess go away before it got to deep >< i suggest to anyone who still can or has just ordered this product to bypass the refund and cancle my order phase and go straight to your card company with the problem if you can! it is the only way to securley block them from EVER charging you again!! and plus even if they gave my card number out to a bunch of other scams, which is highly probable, i will never have to fear because the card is voided and useless ^___^ I WILL BE GOING TO MY NEWSPAPER WITH THIS! they shouldnt be able to continue scaming people like that!

My problem isn't so much with the product, but with the "automatic billing/shipping" I followed the instructions on calling to cancel enrollment in their "automatic shipping/billing" program, was assured by the call taker that my credit card would no longer be charged, and yet I am still getting billed every 30 days. I have email them multiple times, and am not sure what to do next. Has anyone else suffered from this. I think they are ripping me off

I wish I would have read these complaints a week ago! I just received my order today and the pots of powder were tiny! They looked a lot larger on the infomercial. I called and made sure I was not on the auto-delivery and as it turns out I was! I called and asked for my account to be cancelled. I called back an hour later to make sure it went through and it hadn't. They second woman told me that I was supposed to receive my next shipment in three weeks! I told her I had cancelled my account an hour ago and she said it took time to process, I don't buy it but I plan on calling back tomorrow to make sure my account has been cancelled. I also asked for them to send me a letter stating that my account has been cancelled.

Shear cover is a cheap copycat.Plus they still charge your card even when you are no longer a member. It's poorly made and you can tell just by looking at the texture of it. it's course and not creamy like Bare Essentuals is. you need to have pretty smooth skin though because if you use minerals on blemishes even though it's healthy for them it also draws light on the bump causing extra attention. i also found that my skin is too light for even the lightest shade so i mix the well rested with the light or fairly light shade or sometimes i just go with well rested.

I had ordered Sheer Cover and it arrived here about a week ago. I thought I would give it a try because they made it sound so great on T.V. Really, this product sucks and I didn't see the coverage I was looking for. Plus, everything was so small!! I felt like it was a total rip off. Like the girls they used as examples, with pimple/birthmark scaring, ect... It just wasn't working for me, nor does it work like that. So today, I decided to go to Sheer Covers site to see how I can cancel my order. I was glad to have run into THIS site, to find out how many other women like me didn't find this product satisfying. I found out that a lot of people had problems canceling their orders and it worried me a little bit and I called the customer service number right away to cancel. The girl I talked to was very polite and seemed to get everything straighted out for me, answered all my questions, and she "claims" she had canceled my next order, and said that I would be refunded in the next 4-6 weeks and no other charges would be made to my card. I hope she's right, because it seems that a lot of other people didn't get this kind of response when they canceled!!! We'll see what happens...

Hi I Ordered the 90day sheer cover got the first parcel thought it was great , im now three months on and im still waiting on my second and third delivery , they cant find any record of my orders but are able to bill my credit card no problem .ive since cancelled my c card incase they continue billing for items that never arrive, why cant they do like the US and have an online customer service rep answer your query there and then instead of sending emails and waiting days for a reply.

This make up sucks. I just recieved my sheer cover order. I was disappointed the minute I opened the box. The only thing I did like about this sheer cover product was a couple of the brushes. I will be glad to pay for the S&H to send this crap back. Alyssa Molano, & Lisa Givens should be ashamed of themselves for doing promose for this scam.

I also ordered this product. I had been very happy with Bare Escentuals and thought with Lisa Gibbons promoting this it would be worth a try. 3 of the samples were cracked open and powder wwas all over the inside of the packaging. The size of the samples were not only a disappointment but I felt like I had really been taken for a ride on this one! When I called the company within 48 hours of receiving the product, they told me I had to pay for return shipping. I can not understand how Gunther Renky can be allowed to stay in business. But, like many of you, I was sucked in to this sham. Never again will I ever fall for TV ads. The good news is since I work for a very large company, I was able to put these products on display in the cafeteria for all 600 employees to see and they it received such great attention, the pictures and story went nationwide in our company news letter.

First of all Sheer Cover knows better. Leeza Gibbons old ass knows better. My cousin had brought Sheer cover on her credit card after watching a infomercial and the same day I brought it using a check and using one of those mail order things you see in your newspaper. It only cost us 30 bucks and i'm guessing hey you get studio brushes foundation and all that stuff what do I have to lose? Well big mistake on my part and my cousins part. I received it and loved it. Absolutely love the stuff. It's sheer and I love the brushes. My cousin also loved it. We both knew that we were in the club and that we would be billed every month for the product. We're thinking that it was going to be 30 dollors every month and that it would be charged every month like the invoice said and that we would be getting shipments everytime they would take money from our accounts. About a week after receiving the product i look at my bank statements and not only did they charge me for the 30 day supply but they charged me for the next 90 day suupply. To put the icing on the cake the 30 day supply is not 30 dollors like they claim. But it's actually 97 dollors and the 30 dollors is only the first payment. I had almost 200dollors due to Sheer Cover and I still had not received the 90 day supply. I was so damn pissed and I canceled my membership quickly and now i only buy sheer cover on ebay. Guys mineral makeup is not all that. It really isn't. I like it but I also like liquid. It's all about application and when you apply it right it looks amazing. A 1 ounce bottle of Chanel foundation cost $60 and last a year. So guys just be careful. Please don't make the same mistake I did. If something is too good to be true then it almost always is. Don't let me make a fool out of you.

Saw this site after just having ordered Sheer Cover. I tried to cancel the order but got a lot of angry/nervous people on the phone saying "they could not stop the order" and could not cancel my membership in the automatic shipping program for 48 hours. It was the same story for four days. I put a hold on my credit card and that did put an end to it, never rec'd anything or heard any more about it. I believe that they cancel the order if your card doesn't process; an operator said they would ship it with a bill. It would be better if they allowed you to cancel an order, then you wouldn't feel like you'd been duped into anything, and might even try it out, not fearing you're going to face terrible trouble getting out.

Contrary to most of the previous complaints, I actually was happy with some of the sheer cover products i ordered. the concealer matched my skin perfectly and this one shade of powder gives my face a nice glow. so i didn't get upset when the next order came automatically...but this last time, something wasn't right. the concealer didn't look the same on my skin as it did before and it felt funny. it didnt look natural at all. after inspecting the item, i realized that the old products read "made in U.S.A." while the new ones are maked, "made in China"!!!! i dont care where its made, but only a deceitful company changes its products and tries to pass them off as the same thing. and most importantly, im not going to pay all that money to wear cheap, low-quality makeup!
