I have too been scammed by this company. My story is identical to many here... I told them NO to the auto-club and was billed anyway. When I tried to cancel I was told that my order shipped 2 weeks ago (right.. they shipped an order that had not yet been billed) and that ALL installments would have to be paid before they could cancel the order. Ladies, here is Leeza Gibbons website. Please email her and let her know how unhappy you are with this company. Also... if you go the the BBB they will help you. That is how this company keeps their top BBB rating.. they will cooperate. You must fight back folks!!! Email Leeza and let her know! Here is the link...

Used the intro pack..the product is fantastic, however two small containers only one of which I could use, the other was too dark. Rang to change next one coming to a medium, "oh..I'll have to cancel the other customer number and start again"...it was all down hill from there. Lost kits, wrong price after promising the intro price again, wrong credit card number, wrong color..again, etc etc all over about 3 months. Gave up and canceled everything. Buy it [] out of the U.S.(From [])

I tried to place an order for Sheer Cover today. When I asked the Sheer Cover representative for a confirmation number, she said that there was no confirmation number. After 24-48 hours, I could call customer service 1-800-506-6281 to check on my order. How can I check on my order with no immediate confirmation number? It's like purchasing something without getting a receipt. Calling 24-48 hours is like saying, "If you come back tomorrow and talk to my manager, she'll give you the receipt." When I asked the Sheer Cover representative to cancel my order, she said, "Sure. Have a nice day." What about professionalism? How about saying, "Ma'am, your order has been cancelled" or "No charges have been made today." I hung up the phone, feeling like Sheer Cover is not a trustworthy company. Feeling uneasy about what just happened, I decided to read reviews about Sheer Cover, which brought me to this site. I took the advice of one reviewer and immediately called my credit card company. I also agree with other reviewers - these celebrities should be ashamed. Leeza Gibbons, Melissa Gilbert, and Alyssa Milano might think it's a great product, but if the business aspect of Sheer Cover is untrustworthy, they should seriously reconsider standing behind this company.

i just placed my order for sheercover15 mins ago and then i stumbled upon this website. i called them right away and said that i wanted to cancel the order. she informed me that i would have to wait to get my order and then return it because it had already been processed. she also told me that because i ordered online i would have to call back in 72 hours and cancel my membership in order for me not to receive any other products from them.... this sucks!

I've seen sheer cover advertised for some time. It seemed like a great product so I thought I would give it a go. I have acne scarring and discolouration, neither were concealed. The powder doesn't reflect the light and distort the flaws it sits in them. I was so disappointed by this product as I had high hopes. It's comparable to any product in the supermarket....not worse and certainly not better. Laser here I come!!!

I ordered Sheer Cover off the Internet just a couple hours ago because I always wanted to try some sort of Mineral make-up. However after the order, I ran into this website. Too bad, I didn't see this before. Anyways, after reading the complaints, I decided to call my credit card company and have them refuse anything from Guthy Renker or Sheer Cover (I don't think they've charged anything on it yet). Then I called Sheer Cover to cancel the order. Lo and behold, the guy tells me that I'd have to call back in 72 hours to cancel and by then they've already shipped the order. Then I told him that I've already blocked my credit card and then he says that they would probably have to send me a paper bill. I hung up with him and then called back my credit card agency and told them to go ahead and put the card on hold so they can't charge anything on it. We'll see what happens. This company sounds like a big scam and whoever heard of waiting 72 hours before canceling? What a stupid rule! That's how I guess they have time to charge you all kinds of $$$. Anyways, I agree with everyone else. BEWARE of SHEER COVER!!! If anyone wants to try decent mineral make-up, I read alot of good reviews on [].

I also ordered this product and found that it did not cover my flaws or make my face look flawless. The size of the pots on T.V are very deceiving from what you actually get. I also asked that i not be a member and just found out I got charged $112 for product i never asked for nor have received. This product is a scam and I'm really disappointed in the celebraties vouching for this product. This product is not worth anything, i 've found drugstore brand to be more reliable.

Thank you all for sharing your experience. I wish I read this 3 days ago. I was watching Sheer Cover on TV and was impressed, so I called and I ordered the $29.95, the next day I went online and I found out that I will be shipped another kit in 16 days, I felt there is something shady so I checked this bloc. After reading what people wrote, I run to my phone, called them and before giving any information I said, this call is recorded, is that a problem, the guy in costumer service went silent for a sec then said, oh no, no problem. My questions were very direct and clear, I asked if I would be charged for anything else besides the $35, also asked if I will recieve any kit by mail and asked to pay for, and how can I cancel any membership I might, unintentionally, have been subscribed. He was very helpful and give me all information needed. Well I hope this work though, I hope throwing out that the phone call is recorded helps. Thank you all again

I also was scammed into buying the product Sheer Cover. the product did not work at all like the advertisement, but I thought Ok, i am out the $32.00, I have learned my lesson. But, less than a month later, another unrequested shipment arrived and was charged to my credit card. I was furious, I did not ever ask for or authorize another charge to my card. I sent the product back for $7.00 and decided I would sent my original shipment back also. When I spoke to someone on the phone, they were extremelly rude to me. I am very disappointment, Lisa Gibbons should be ashamed to endorse this product!!!

Saw this advertised in the UK for £29.95 + £5 P&P on a popular channel during the daytime. I have a small red scar on my chin that I usually need liquid foundation to cover. Due to the respectability of the channel, and the actors promoting the product I thought I was in for a good deal. Instead I received 3 lip balm sized pots of coloured powder that looked and felt no better than the cheap power you can find at a local drugstore. It did not cover my scar at all, in fact it got into all the dents/creases and made me look like my face was cracking. I specifically asked on the phone not to join the "membership". but lo and behold, I was signed up for it anyway, and already almost £100 has been taken out of my account, I called to cancel, and still have not received either the products or the money, like most people who have written into this site. I would encourage people to report this to the TV channel who shows the informercial, as well as your local authorities. I just wish I had found this site sooner! Stick to in-store brands you can try-before-you-buy (testers), or brands you can trust!

Sheer Cover is not super special - for the starter kit, I wasn't too disappointed, but wasn't overly pleased. But, when the next 90-day supply came just 3 weeks after my initial order I called to increase the number of weeks between shipments, still not realizing the $34.50 taken from my debit account was just the FIRST of THREE payments - UHG! Their advertisement is not clear and their product is NOT worth the $!

I ordered sheer cover from an infomercial back in Feb 07. I was asked if I would like to try Vitapower vitamins for 1.00 plus shipping. I agreed only to find out that they automatically enroll you in some type of membership program where they take $70 a month from your bank account w/o out notification or permission. When I called to see about returning the product, I was told they would only give me a partial payment back and no shipping and handling would be credited. I was charged over $190 altogether and only got part of my money back after calling them on a recorded line and threatening them with a lawsuit.

One day as I was watching thier TV commerical, I was impressed, and thought I would try this product and ordered it. My first time ordering off an infomercial. I would try this one for the great advertised price of only $29.95. The make-up is not good; not nearly as effective as it was on the video. Then, less than one month after ordering it; I was then sent another batch of it with a bill for $97.80. I have phoned them to ask for these three charges (totally $97.80) be removed from my card- they told me they can not see these charge! I have stopped payment through my credit card agency. I have reported them to the credit card agencies. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I did not know I would be paying $97.80 for 2 small containers of powder and once concelear after I paid$29.95 for the samll amount they first sent to pull you in- without ever letting me know that first.

One day as I was watching thier TV commerical I thought I would try this product and ordered it. I am a user of I.D. Bare Minerals which is a great product but thought I would also try this one for the great advertised price of only $29.95. Well after getting it I did not like nothing about it. Every wrinkle on my face would show and the lip gloss is sticky, the eye liner smudges and the mascara comes off in big amounts all over my bathtub when I wash my face. I can pull the mascara off my lasehes in clumps and it will not disolve with water and soap. The face cleaner burnt my face and broke it out in small blisters. I was then sent another batch of it with a bill for $97.80. I have sent them two emails on thier website asking for this to be cancelled and to not charge my credit card. They will not respond to me. I guess my next step will be to call them but was trying to avoid the arguing about the product. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I will be going back to ID Bare and will stay with that product. This product makes you look older then you are I am only 43 but it doesnt even work well on my 17 year old daughters face either. It has a sticky feel and is just not good. Also the colors dont even match my skin no matter how I try to mix them. Do yourself a favor if you have not already purchased this product save some money and dont buy from this company. I did not know I would be paying $97.80 for 2 small containers of powder and once concelear after I paid$29.95 for the samll amount they first sent to pull you in.

sheer cover is simply a deceptive company. they reel you in with the 29.95 make-up set. they you get put on a 90 supply --- with out really letting you know that. hey consumers, did you know that the 92 day supply costs $97.95!!! yeah! nearly $100 for 2 little pots of makeup! and i didn't even buy it at saks!! if i am going to spend that much on makeup, i better get a bran i know and trust like channell or la mer! wow!b i called to cancell. they lady on the phone was pretty much an idiot and kept redirecting the conversation. bottom line. they don't tell you what they are charging you for and when they will be charging you. the ordering is very unclear and deceptive. unless you like not knowing where your money is going and when. don't do it.

I received Sheer Cover about 3 weeks ago(around May 21st). I used just a small amount the first week and saw some breaking out on my face. The following weekend which was Memorial Day weekend we went to the beach so I did not use alot of makeup. On Monday, May 28th, I wore this makeup to work and by the end of the day I had what looked like hives on my face. There were lumps under the hives on each cheek. My eyelids were on fire. That night when I cleansed my face I knew I was having an allergic reaction. On Tuesday morning I stayed out of work and went to the doctor. She was able to work me in at 11:00. She said I was having an allergic reaction and prescripted a steroid pack. Needless to say I missed a day of work and shelled out money on a doctor and a prescription. I also had to purchase allergy medication. Yesterday, June 3rd, I called the number sent to me by Sheer Cover and cancelled all further orders which I made clear when I ordered I did not want! I also told them I would be mailing back to them the remaining product and expected a refund. I hope no one else has to go through what I went through with this product. My eyelids are peeling and I still have one breakout that doesn't want to go away. Thank you for letting me vent out my frustrations!

Never before in my life have I been forced to cancel a credit card because no matter who I call/email/write to I cannot stop Sheer Cover from taking money from me. I have seen so many people try to resell this crap item [], after obviously falling for the same scam. Doesn't work half as well as the normal foundation I use, comes in teeny lip-balm sized pots. You have to cake it on to cover anything, and it cracks easily. It felt like I was wearing a clay mask and the brush hairs were falling apart. If you want to try it I suggest buying it for cheap off a third party seller, so at least when you realise it's crap, you don't have to worry about a monthly credit card charge that's impossible to cancel!

I saw the informercial this morning for Sheer Color, and have been wanting to try a mineral foundation for a long time, but being a busy mom, I don't have a lot of time to shop in stores. They advertised a special $29.95 price if you order within 6 minutes, so I whip out my credit card and call. When they got to the part about "membership" and being billed $29.95 PER MONTH (i.e., $1 per day) for their product, I said nevermind, I didn't want to spend $90 on makeup. This is false advertising and should be illegal. Don't fall for it, and tell your friends what a scam it is too!

You would think that people like Liza Gibbons and all the other stars that they showed on that product promo would be ashamed of themselves for promoting such sleazey business practices. I too got sucked in. I ordered the original package from a TV infomercial (Shame on you Lisa Gibbons) I received the product and tried it. I was not impressed. It was nothing like was advertised on the program. I ordered it on Sunday April 25th and the product arrived on April 12th of 2007. I sent the product back to their Ontario address on May 3 after trying it for a few days. I returned all the items they had sent me. I fast tracked it through Canada Post. The fast track showed it had been received on May 7th 2007. So I waited to see a credit on my credit card. I had asked for a stop on my 3 month supply on May 1st but was told it was too late and that it was on its way. That order show up until May 15th 2007l. I phoned again asking them to cancell my order and asked if when returning these orders if it would be faster to get my refunds by sending it to the US address. I was told the Canadian address would get me my refund faster. So I continued to keep an eye on my credit card account. May 29th another charge from GRC Sheer Cover showed up. I called them again and once again they asked me if I wanted to add my e-mail address to my account. I told Michelle that my account was supposed to be cancelled and she supposiditly took down all my tracking information about returning the first and last shipments. I also called my credit card company and they said if there were any further charges from these crooks that they could fallow through for me and get my charges back. I wish I had looked for this web site before phoning in for the product / needless to say they would not have gotten my order. We should all get together and let Liza hear our disfavour. Perhaps Ellen would hear us out. Carol
