As I attempted to order this product, the saleswoman asked if I wanted to join clubs, get magazines and a dozen other questions. I said again and again that I wanted the product and nothing more. She continued to ask me to buy more things. I finally said that if she did not stop -- if she did not get to the purchase I called to make, I would cancel the entire order. It happened and I canceled. I was then charged FULL PRICE for all the things she had been trying to sell to me and shortly after, received a package. I refused it, but in order to prove that I had returned it, had to pay almost $7 for proof of return. The whole transaction was infuriating and a huge waste of time. I will never respond to a Guthy Renker offer again!

Oh my gosh!!! i wish i would have saw this site about 2 hrs ago i placed an order with sheer coverage and as soon as i saw this site i called them to cancel and they said that there was nothing that they could do about it and that my order wont even go through for another 72 hrs and by the time that it does i wont be able to cancel the shipment. That makes no sense at all beacause the website said my order wont even be shipped out for about a month so that is a big fat lie i am so sick of getting ripped off and when i saw this site it made me sick to my stomach! How in the hell can these freakn people get away with scaming people? I am going to wait for the product to come in the mail and then i am calling my bank for a dispute form asap. I agree with all of you how can these famous people look straight into the camera and lie to us about what a great deal you are getting blah blah blah what a shame i feel sorry for people like them i really do

This product is not worth it! Sheer is the operative word. If you want make-up that looks like you have nothing on, why spend money and waste your time? My complaint is also regarding the automatic enrollment in auto-shipping. It makes no sense to offer a 60 day trial period on a product and automatically send out a supply which costs approximately $100 one month later. The company would only credit me for the product returned and it ultimately cost me $20 in shipping fees which they refused to refund.

I went through what you all went through. I initially returned Sheer Color and low and behold another kit came a month later. I paid for shipping charges and it was hell trying to find a Customer Service number, but with my credit card, I just disputed the charge wrote them a letter and they reveresed the charges. NO sweat. It's just I got ticked that I had to pay for shipping.

Yesterday morning I was watching the infomercial on TV before clocking in for work. I had thought about trying the product before and decided to call and order the trial kit. I had about 15 minutes before I had to clock in for work. My call was answered in India and the lady who answered was very nice, but after giving her my card number to order the kit she kept trying to sell me one thing after another. The trial kit she offered me did not come with everything the infomercial was telling me at that moment that I would receive. She seemed confused. Finally I just told her that I had to hang up and to cancel my order. It was taking way too long to place a simple order. I'm hoping that I don't receive an order, but am worried that, since she already had my card number, it might show up. What an underhanded way to run a business!! I WON'T try again!

Last month I ordered some makeup from this company for about $35. I was disappointed to find that the makeup came in tiny-tiny “trial-sized” amounts that looked much bigger on TV. Less than four weeks later I noticed a “pre-authorized” debit from my bank account in the amount of $98 from this same company. I called to ask why it was debited when I never authorized it and the customer service representative told me that they often hold a large amount for future shipments that I could send back for a refund later if I didn’t want it. I complained that I never authorized such a transaction and that I wanted the debited amount returned to my account. Her response was that she was “very sorry…” but there was nothing she could do about it. I asked to speak to a manager who could help me. She argued that she could not transfer me to anyone who could help. I demanded that she transfer me which she finally did. The next representative gave me the same story. Finally she transferred me to her manager who told me that I would have to make a three-way-call with my bank manager and Sheer Cover to request that the transaction be cancelled but that it probably would go through anyway. I’m now on my way to my bank to fill out an ATM dispute form. Lisa Gibbons had better watch out. Being linked to a sleazy operation like this company will definitely effect her popularity.

I placed the order for the trial kit and unbeknownst to be I was enrolled in the Direct Ship program. Luckily I saw this website and called immediately to cancel this membership BEFORE my credit card got charged. The ignorant customer service representative was unable to provide a confirmation number or any way of me having a back up for this transaction! She wouldnt even provide her last name for my records! This company is horrible and I will NEVER purchase another Guthy Renker product!

I ordered this product back in February. I never received it. Tried to contact company to see what had happened. They told me via email that they did not have a record of me ordering it. My credit card has never been charged. In a way it is good that this happened after reading all the complaints, but they did take my credit card information. I will be on the look out so nothing is ever charged by them. I do not know why they say Guthy-Renker is so trusted. They did not even follow through with my order.

I wished I could have found this site sooner.. The part that sucks is that already purchase the kit.. I've already called 2 times to make sure they cancel the home delivery plan that I didnt want in the first place.. but I'm not sure if thats gonna happen after I read other customers complaints on here.. I'm really thinkin of canceling the credit card for a while.. thanks everyone!

I purchased a one time trial kit for $29. Or so I thought. I had no idea a joined a club. I just rechecked the sheercover website and re-traced my steps. You have no idea you are joining a club.
When the second kit showed up I thought it was a mistake - but then I saw the charge on my card. I called and was informed I had joined a club! They assured me that I was cancelled. I just got a second charge on my card. I called them again. I was told that yes my account was cancelled but the the second kit is a 90 day kit. Funny they didn't mention that. And the packing is exactly the same. So even though I cancelled in April, they will still bill me until June. Do not buy from SheerCover.

I saw the Sheer Cover advertisment on the TV. I decided to try it becasue my daughter has sever scarring from a dog bite. First of all I got sent to India via the phone lines!!! I could hardly understand the man, which he did try to sell me everything that wasnt nailed down! I was reassured that I would only get the Trail Kit. I received it,however, I tried it myself and started getting little bumps on my skin. So, since I ordered on the "Trial Kit" I didnt think twice about it. Now I see a charge on my bank account for $97.00. I did not join their club or request other shipments. After reading all of the complaints previous, I will refuse the shipment, figure out how to get a refund and alert my bank of the unauthorized charge. You are all right, Liza Gibbons should be ashamed, especially when there is a child involved. Shame on Liza! Shame on Sheer Cover.

I ordered a starter pack of sheer cover over the phone. I insisted that I just wanted one month supply and did not want to receive any further supplies unless I phoned and specifically ordered it. He assured me that this was in order. I received the starter pack and tried out the product but decided I did not like it and would not use it again. I binned the products, the literature and the instruction CD. Two weeks ago I received another pack and noticed that €42.90 was taken out of my credit card. I immediately telephoned the distributor and was put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and phoned again to get the reference number necessary to return the item. It cost €8 to post the box to the U.K. I notice that my credit card was credited with only €33 rather than the €42.90. I have tried to speak to someone about this discrepancy but to no avail. I am appalled that a company would have the audacity to continue sending me a product I have repeatedly told them I DO NOT WANT. Companies like this should be prevented from operating and literally robbing people of their money. My advise to unsuspecting consumers is DO NOT BUY SHEER COVER MAKE UP. IT IS A SCAM.

I signed up for a €99 3 month offer and received the starter pack some time later. This was about October timeframe. Then in January I received another shipment by registered post which I declined and asked the post office to return to sender. What I didn't realise is that they deducted another €48 in January. I called and asked why this was and was told that nothing could be done until the shipment was received back from them. My call was from Ireland to the UK and I was at least one hour getting through - costly both against my time and what I had to pay for the call. Then again in February another 30 Euro and now again in my March statement. I called again two weeks ago and was told the money €108 in total would be refunded against my credit card. I have now today received an email requesting information about what I am requesting the refund for. I will return it and see what happens. Correct me if I am wrong but is it not illegal to hold onto a person's credit card details when ordering either over the phone or internet. I never signed anything and was never told I was signing up for a monthly subscription based membership. Their business practice is deceitful to say the least and it's a shame because one of their products I was quite happy with and would have purchased again. They should be put out of business or be forced to stop and be severely reprimanded, fined and if necesary imprisoned should this practice continue.

My daughter is in college with limted funds, but decided to try this makeup with the so called words(you can return and get money back!) She is being charged almost 35.00 each month (money she really doesn't have on a product she really does not want! We have called and been promised many thigs. But have seen no results. Buyers beware with this one! One bigheadache! Iwill not stop complaing and I will take legal action if this is not resolved.

I ordered the one month supply of sheer cover. (Which was pretty hard to do since the sales representative tried to sell me everything under the sun, including the "option to purchase a 6 months supply" of a make up I had never even tried before. Give me a break! Anyway, I did like the product but did like the idea of the automatic reordering. So after a couple weeks, I made sure to cancel my forced "membership" to avoid future charges. But when I called the rep. said it was too late, since the next 90 day supply had already been mailed out to me. "90 day supply?!!" I asked her. I was told each month it would automatically renew unless I cancelled. She told me that I had insufficient funds but that I would be billed for it. Like a dummy I didn't check my credit card for a couple weeks. Sheer Cover DID charge me, and then the credit card company charge me for going over the limit, and then of course your APR goes up, etc. I got the same lame excuse as some others of you have mentioned about not being allowed to simply refuse service since the post office will just end up keeping it. So, I accepted it, and then walked it in the the post office and asked them what I should do. They said as long as it is unopened I could still refuse service, and just write down the confirmation # that was already on the package from them. The lady on the phone said she would refund the whole amount within 3 to 5 business days. My gut tells me this won't be the last time I have to calls those God-awful people. She kept trying to get me to say that it would be okay to I would at least consider re-ordering.... at which point I asked her if that meant I'd still be in this "membership" and she said yes.... Oh, NO. I must have told her that I wanted to CANCEL my membership at least 15 times. Good make-up in my opinion is not worth the headache, time wasted, energy used, and financial pain in the butt this has turned out to be!! I would be very fearful to ever consider ordering from an informercial again.

I just watched the Sheer Cover infomercial and decided to check out their website before ordering. During the infomercial, they do not mention the auto-delivery every two months the way Bare Minerals does in their infomercial. It's not obvious on their site, either...you have to search for it. I found the hidden auto-delivery information and decided not to order right away. I thought I'd better get more information first. I found all of your messages out here and I'm glad I did. After reading your stories, something that some of you may be interested in doing is reporting the company to the Better Business Bureau Online. The BBB contact the company and force them to work out a fair resolution for you. And you don't have to accept it until they agree to do the right thing. I've used them before and it's worked well. I was just curious about Sheer Cover, but I will stay with Bare Minerals.

i have just placed an order for sheer cover and after reading all of these stories i called to immediately cancel. they stated that it was too late. i am already on auto ship even though that was not stated in the ordering process....and when has standard shipping meant 3 to 4 weeks. only when i called to cancel and specifically asked them when i would recieve the shipment did they tell me it would be almost a month to get it. priority was actually 7 business days. that is rediculous. i have to call in 72 hours to cancel the auto shipments and then wait a month to receive the shipment i don't want and send it back to only receive a credit back to my account maybe a month or two later. this is what the customer service guy told me. i have never, in all my business dealings, run into such an incredible scam. if they are trying to out do bareminerals they have a long way to go. you get your order in days and if you want to auto ship you can choose that and if you don't want it, it is easy to cancel. i guess this is how sheer coverage makes their money. they con you into ordering and make it near impossible to get your money back. so in the end, you have spent more money than you thought you ever would, you find yourself in a contract you didn't know you were in, and you are stuck with a product that won't even arrive until a month's time. if this is the type of service you'd like to receive, go for it. i was going to give them a try and see how it compared to the bareminerals that i already love but after this mess of customer service, no thanks! i can smell a scam. i just wish i had before i ordered. for myself, i'll stick to the awesome product and customer service of bareminerals. the celebrities that are putting their names on this product should realize what they have signed up for. mediocre product and horrible service.

What a scam! Shady practices for sure! I told them I had not received a shipment that I was charged for, so I was told they would take the amount off my bill. I checked my credit card statement and they tried to pull a fast one! All payments are made in installments, but then I see one charge for $109.80 from them, then the next day they deduct $98.85-- what I would pay minus shipping. So I paid the installment price, get charged an additional one time price, and they deduct the original installment price minus shipping and handling--- which means I paid them for the missing shipment and shipping twice without getting anything! They didn't deduct anything, and added more in a tricky way! Liars and cheaters, thats what they are! Also the product sucks! If you don't use a regular concealer and try to use their powder "concealer" its like wearing nothing, everything shows. It's definitely not what they show in the infomercial and doesn't look anything like their results. Horrible product doesn't do what it says on the infomercial. Too bad the government won't do anything about their shady business practices! They ripped me off for a few hundred dollars, but I doubt anything will come of it. Avoid doing business with them!!!

I wish i had find out abou this site before. The story is that I saw the commercial and I order the product. It has a 60 day money back guarantee. I tried it, I didd not like it. I called and cancelled my membership. Well, the company was already in the process of shipping me a second box (it has is not even been one month since I recevied the first one)and a second payment out of my account. I was told that as soon as I returned the first package, no more money or shipments will be charge or mail to me...Well to my surprise as I am writting this message, A THIRD charge to my account is being bill to me. In rage i called the company, and the rude customer service lady tells me that untill the second package( which is bigger than the first one) is received, they will assume that I want the products. I am like "Hello"!!! I called you guys, cancel the membership returned shipments and I am sill being charge!!!
Just keep on calling them at CUSTOMER SERVICE 1-800-506-6281 and return any packages faster than them!
