I seen the advert for Sheer Cover and thought I would give it a try as I dont wear make-up very often so I thought, "well if im going to buy make-up I may as well buy a good decent make-up that dosent feel all caked on my face"! So I made the order on the 1st April 08 so I could try the 30day trial and I had nothing to loose if I didnt like it, I eventually recieved it on the 24th April 08, however, I wasent that pleased with the product and it's certainly isnt what it's made out to be like! Anyway I paid for the product and then not even 2 weeks later I recieved another package which had the larger Sheer Cover powder's, the conceler and the cleanser with the mosturiser, also baring in mind the woman who took my orded on the phone gave me the offer to recieve this monthly at a payment price of £19.95 but I said "no thanks as I want to wait and see how the product is before I order anymore. So as I said I opened the 2nd package I just recieved only to find inside the 90day Sheer Cover contents kit, what stunned me the most was the invoice that was with it, it was £65.80! I couldnt believe it as I was puzzled just the day before when I went to the bank to find that I only had £10 left but I thought that I had over spent when I went shopping with my two kids and whats worst they have already taken this from my bank account WITHOUT INFORMING ME FIRST! when I spoke to the woman who had taken my order in the first place I asked her "when it's time for next monthes delivery will I definatley get a letter or some sort of confirmation as to wether I would want the next delivery of Sheer Cover or not", she replied to me "yes Miss O'Donnell, you will definatley get a letter asking if you were happy with your 30day Sheer Cover kit and if I would like the next order BEFORE taking the money of my bank account"! Obviously I trusted what this woman had said to me especially with it being a product by GUTHY-RENKER which I expected to be a very trusting company! Obviously I wrong. It's now the weekend which this is when iv recieved this 2nd packege and I cant call them as their office hours are only open from 9am-5pm Mon-Fri! I am extremley annoyed at this as im supposed to get a 30day trial and iv only had the chance to try this product 3 times, I didnt get any notice of the next delivery and they have taken all that money out my bank account without my permission. I have two children who I need to support and due to this scam scandal I have NO money in my bank to get things that not only my kids and I need but also for other important things which is much more needed than make-up which isnt even all that is made out to be! Not only that but im getting charged from my bank because Sheer Cover has taken all the money out that I needed to pay my t.v licence with throught direct debit also and my Virgin t.v and internet bill! This is extremley dissapointing especially being a single mother with 2 kids, I put my trust in your company and iv been let down in a very big way! Joanne from Scotland.

I ordered the product for myself was not too satisfied. Although I loved the lipgloss. My eldest daughter wanted to try it since she has oily skin. They sent a much larger size and I canceled the day I got it yet they attemped to charge me the very next month. They said I bought the 3 mnth promo. I read every little line to ensure this could be immediately cancelled with no further charges due. I told them to provide me proff for which I knew they had none. After receiving a credit - ready for a fight, I cancelled my credit card to make sure I was not charged again. What a rip off - the company so respect that when a customer says cancel - ITS CANCEL.

I have a story like everyone else I called on the 28th of January 2008 to make a order of the test kit, I ordered one for my friend and one for myself all on my credit card they said give us up to 6 weeks to deliever and yes they did ask me if I wanted the 90 day offer and I said I would like to try it first, well the first one arrived on the 30th of March and the the second one on the 28th of April, both at different prices on my card, then my bank calls and states that I have another 2 debits from Sheer Cover both on the same day for product I don't even have nor have a order them, you call and they put on hold forever than tell you send me this and send me that, basically you get nowhere, I speaking to lawyer about this, I wish I had seen this before.

This is a racket! I ordered the product, just the introductory product. I was then mailed, and billed for additional product I did not buy or authorize. Sheer Cover customer service claim was that I "authorized" on the internet, when I placed my first order. I still cannot find this "authorization" on their web order form. BEWARE-this is their racket! Do not but this product-the product and the business practice behind the product are complete SCAMS!

I tried the 30day money back guarantee. I Was very specific that this was a trial for me and they should not charge my card for the following month's order. My card was charged and the product mailed to me. I mailed back the product and my bank credited my acct back. Now sheercover is still saying I owe them $67 and they have sent me to collections. I am so frustrated right now. This is daytime robbery. How do they get away with these things? will I have to pay $67.00 for a product I don't even have? who can help me?

I ordered the trial kit last fall and also some customized product over the course of about 6 months. I gave them my credit card # and saw that charges were appearing on my credit card from them. More expensive than what the ad had said, but I like the convenience. Then I start getting notices in the mail that I haven't paid them, when I have paid them! I call and tell the rep to please put all charges on my credit card as I originally authorized. I'm not sure what these charges are for, but just put them on my card. He says fine. I think it's all taken care of. Today, several weeks later, I get a collection agency notice, saying that I owe them $105 and that their "many attempts to collect" have not been satisfied! I called Sheer Cover today and got a cold-voiced woman who said that customer service couldn't do anything about it, that I would have to wait for the billing dept to call me in 5 days or so. When I asked for a number so that I could call the billing department directly, she said that that would not be possible. This is crazy! They're ruining my credit record when all they had to do was put the charge on my card as I authorized them to do. I guess they're so busy scamming people that they can't take the money when it is being offered to them. I see from this website that I am not the only one who has suffered from their billing ineptitude. Sheer Cover is indeed a SCAM.

I ordered the Sheer cover online through their website (stupidly), instead of buying from [ ] (hindsight is always 20/20). Anyway, I was charged the 37.50 just as it says on their website for my introductory set. Got the set, used a little of it, and not even a month later I get another set and another 29.95 taken out of my bank account. I thought they would be sending a kit every 3 months, not every 30 days! So I checked my account and it says I'm scheduled for every 8 weeks delivery. Now, I'm a little upset and figure I'll just cancel this home delivery thing because I don't like the product that much, nor do I need new product every 30 days! So I go online and there is absolutely nowhere to go to cancel your membership. I then tried to email customer service to cancel my membership, who sent me a computer generated response saying that they can cancel my membership and some other info on how great the home delivery system is for Sheer Cover. I thought I was done with this and when I checked my account once more, I found that another delivery is "on time", even though it says I had the every 8 week delivery! Not to mention that before I canceled it, my next delivery date was for June? I finally found an area on their site that says "to cancel anytime, call customer service at...". I was on the phone with this moron for 35 minutes. First he tells me, Yes I see you paid the 37.50 intro price, then we sent you another month's worth and you paid 29.95. I said yes that's correct and now I want to cancel my membership because you lied to me and sent me a kit in 30 days, not the 3 months or even 8 weeks. He says okay. After about 20 minutes, and talking with a "senior supervisor", he tells me that I originally owed 103.00!! Now, I am furious. I told him there is nowhere on their website when you order the product that says anything about a 90.00 charge!! I told him if you try and take the money out of my bank account I will not authorize the charge and I will fight it. I also asked how many other people they have done this to and how many just said "eh, it's only another 30 or so dollars" and just pay it?He tells me that in order to clear this matter up I need to fax in a copy of my bank statement as proof of payment!! I said absoluley not, and you just told me 15 minutes ago that you had my account on your screen and it said I had paid 2 payments. After telling him again that I will not pay any more money to this company, I hung up and checked my account (which is still open) and I wrote another note to customer service explaining what just happened on the phone with a customer service rep. They sent me another email and this time it has the part about the 90.00 charge in it? This company is such a scam! This is probably how [ ] made all her money off this crap! I don't like being taken advantage of, I don't like paying for a product I am not receiving, and I don't like scam companies. I do think they should have a class action lawsuit taken out on them. Next I will just go to [[!

I just ordered sheer cover this morning and then decided to research it (should have done it the other way around) I am now calling customer service to cancell any other orders and I have just made a phone call to my bank who will NOT allow more than one charge to be made by this company. I'm am posting this as a possible suggestion to others who are still having a hard time getting sheer cover to stop charging them. Good Luck. Bethany

Well, almost 3 weeks ago I ordered this product online from the website, I got the starter kit advertised at 29.99, 35something with shipping and handling (this is in USD and I live in Canada)The charge on my VISA bill was about 41something which seemed about right untill I noticed it was not 41 dollars Canadian but US - maybe more shipping charges? I also became suspicious when I recieved an email saying they were out of stock a few days after placing my order and decided to do some research online finding this website and all the horror stories it contains. the next day I was informed that my order was being shipped via priority mail within 24 hours. Still though after seeing this website I was worried and went to the site to immediately cancel the automatic shipments. I became very concerned when I saw that there was no way to cancel the shipments, only change the frequency of them which had been set for me at every 4 weeks. I changed this to every 16 weeks (the longest wait option available) and changed my credit card information to jibberish although I'm sure they have the real info on file. Immediately after changing my frequency I recieved an email saying I had switched it to every 16 weeks, but not from every 4 weeks... it had actually been set to ship EVERY SINGLE WEEK!!! Who needs that much makeup!? Panic stricken from all the stories I had just read and worried I was going to recieve 3 at once like some of you had I immediately called the 800 number to cancel my membership and any future shipments. The phone only rang a few times and the girl who took my call was very polite and only asked me if I was sure I wanted to cancel my membership once. I said yes but if I like the product I will certianly order again and was straight forward telling her I had become concerned after reading numerous complaints online that their company was a scam. I also made her assure me that I would not be billed for anything more than what I had already paid and that no more merchandise would be sent to me. I read some more stories and decided to call again just to be sure, I got a different Girl and she assured me all the same as the first: that my account had been canceled, I would not be billed further or sent any more products. I took down both girls names and the times of the calls and the date just in case. I also tried to log in again on the website and was pleased to find my account had indeed been canceled. Now I am just waiting for the product to show up but am worried it may never come and they will try to jerk me around when I call and ask where it is saying "you don't have an account with us". Hopefully all is well since I called to cancel almost 2 weeks after my package was "supposedly" shipped but only time will tell. I am hopeful though because everyone I dealt with was polite and accomodating, or at least pretended to be. Best of luck to all you struggling with these scumbags and you will definately hear from me again when and if I ever get my sheercover, and especially if I don't get it.

well i didn have any problem cancelling my order sorry for those who did however i absolutley hatesheer cove i mean they say it feels light, when i but that stuff on i felt like my skin had twenty extra layers not only that it would smere on everything, and dry out my skin which ould cause me to put on more moisturizerthen i would break out and use the concealer which would make me break out more, the only thing i did like in the kit was the lip gloss but its not worth whatever they are selling it for, i really wanted a make up that didnt feel like i had any mke up on however this was exactly the opposite, please dnt be a fool like me and get sucked into informercial scams and dont say yes to any free promotional offers they are also scams, like peopel say if something seems to be too good it probably is, i will never buy any tevelvised products again, this producte made me look orange and i harddly put any on and when i told that to customer service she laughed at me i mean seriously how rude, all i can say is i learneed my lesson but in my case it cost me about 250.00 about 130 for aninety day supply of crap, then i said no to their promo offer(vita power, which is horrible) but i guess sheer cover sent them my info anyways and now i am haing problems cancelling my order with that company which has cost me the remainder of the 250.00 wow a pricely lesson.

They effin ripped me off! It was a great product, but they charged me $50 bucks out of nowhere and then they didn't tell me it cost $100 the rest of the time. UGHH! BEWARE OF EVERYTHING ON TV!

I too experienced many of the same tactics that I have read from other people. I had used Bare Minerals first, and am still a bit allergic (my skin is so sensitive) so thought I'd try Sheer Cover. All of the celebrity endorsements helped, I thought that if the product was that prevalent in Hollywood, it should be good. I wasn't all that impressed, it was ok, but since it was no better than the stacks of Bare Naturals I have I sent it back. I did know it was an auto ship club. The same DAY that I order my intro shipment, I called twice to state that I didn't want a follow up shipment because of my allergies and have a way of becoming allergic eventually to a product that I can initially use. So if I find something, I use it very sparingly and rarely so I can use it when I really need to- a wedding or something. Anyway, used it a little, sent it back and cancelled - the third time. The next month I get another package. I sent that back and cancelled the fourth time. The next month no package but another charge on my credit card. By then I was furious, and yea, yelled at whoever I spoke with. After threatening reporting them to the Interstate Coommerce Commission, they finally got their act together and I got all my money back, except the first shipping charge to and from me. All of these stories are just tooo similar for these to be coincidence. There's got to be a deliberate scam for sure. I was about to order the $9.95 trial kit, but the conditions are that website are worse than the $29.95 website. Then I found this site and forget them forever. Good riddance.

I made a phone call to the toll free number to order a trial order. The operator was pushy and a blood pain the neck. I finally ended by telling him to forget about placing an order for me. I guess I will wait to see if I am billed as I had already given my credit card number. Live and learn!

I ordered this product and am still waiting for it to arrive, my order was (supposedly) shipped 2 weeks ago so I'll give them another week or so before I get suspicious, I saw this site and IMMEDIATELY called to cancel my membership and was reassured by two different customer service reps (I noted the time of the calls and their names just in case) that my membership was canceled, that I would not be charged any more than the 35 dollars I had allready paid and that I would not recieve any future shipments or bills. Hopefully I have nipped this in the bud and will not have to go through the crap mentioned on this site! I will definately leave more comments when I recieve my actual product.

I recently purchased the sheer cover for my daughter or at least tryed to.....after weeks of not receiving the product I decided to cancel my order because everytime I called they said it was on back order, well I spoke with a customer service rep who ASSURED me that my account would not be charged, I even waited a week before paying bills which took my account down to 4.00 till my next pay day, well they came in to my account which obviously there was no money there to cover the 38.05 that they took and of course I was charged 34.00 twice for bank fees plus the 38.05 plus my bank charges 8.00 A DAY for overdraft fees so we are over 100.00 at this point, so I called again and was told to fax my bank statement to billing which by the way they say that they cant contact this department ever at all, I was assured that my money would be refunded, well I have done this and still nothing, they did put 38.05 back in my account but where is the 87.81 in bank fees?? well they dont know and they cant give me a number to talk to anyone about this!!!! well im sure Im like most americans that live from check to check supporting 4 kids I need my 87.00!!! next time i want to buy makeup for my daughter I will stick to [] oh by the way we never did get the make-up! alot of money for something we did not get huh!

Ordered Sheer Cover, hated it, returned product. Money back guarantee was a joke until my bank stepped in and after a couple of months of getting charged for something I returned they got my refund for me. If you send it back be sure to keep your tracking label and get a signature on the other end. That is the only thing that saved me. I faxed the copies to my bank and they reversed the charges and contacted Sheer Cover to stop any further charges to my account

I ordered this product after seeing the infomercial one day. As others, I thought why not for $9.95+s&h? I thought the product came beautifully packaged with a lot of extras (all this for so little?) and was eager to try it. I actually really liked a couple of the things I tried so opened the catalog to find out how much it would cost to order more. Lucky that I did! The outside of my package had said "your invoice is enclosed" but I had not paid attention to it since I had already paid for the product and my card had been charged. LUCKILY when I went to look to order new products I found that I had only paid the first installment and was due to pay a lot more. Now I knew why it came so nicely packaged. I then went to try to find the fine print that apparently they leave out of the tv infomercial and came across this site. BTW - I also read some of the defenses for this product and I am quite offended that people think I'm uneducated for not reading the fine print. I have not seen the infomercial again but trust me, no where in it was it made clear this was a club you are joining by sampling the product. The definition of a trial is to TRY the product to see if you like it. I shouldn't be automatically signed up at that time. But regardless... I had decided to just return everything the next day, even the stuff I could keep for trying it and cancel my credit card to avoid the next month's hassles. My credit card ended up not getting cancelled (that's another story that worked out for the best) and Sheer Cover actually refunded me my $9.95 and didn't charge me again. I found all of the return info on the web site this time paying more attention to the instructions and it was refunded quickly and without further problems in their defense. It's a shame b/c I might have used some of their products. I spend a fair amount on skin products b/c I buy what I like even if it's more expensive, but I do not appreciate a product that tries to get your money by scamming you! So I returned it all. I've not tried the other brand, likely never wil

I am glad I seen this website. I actually ordered the product from an infomercial on T.V. I thought it was a good idea since I wanted to try the minerals make-up. I am an make-up artist and have tried a lot of different brands. Wanted to give this a try. After I went online to try to see what color I would need even though I had already placed my order, I was going to go to the website to get the phone # and I spotted this website for complaints of the product and read them. I was very disappointed...but at the same time very glad I seen it. Instead of calling to change the color I called to cancel my order. The representative told me that it was on back order and haven't been sent out and wont be able to send for about another week. At that time I advised her that was not a problem because I didn't want it again. She said that she was ble to offer me to order the product individually I told her no thanks just to cancel. She said that she did and of course I asked for a cancellation # which she said she didn't have but she gave me her name and last initial. I have called back since then to make sure that it was actually cancelled because I didnt want it charged to me. So far no problem. But I will like to say that I am glad I spotted this site because I will hate to experience what problems everyone else have and hope I wouldn't have to.
