I have been using Sheer Coverage for three years and am pleased with the product. However, I am forced to switch to Bare Minerals because of the terrible customer service and fraudulant billing by Gunther-Renky. It is such a shame this company is getting away with breaking the law.

What a joke of a company! DO NOT BUY ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS!! First of all the products are absolute crap, tp put it mildly and second of all, they get hold of your credit card details and continue to send you this crap while taking the liberty to take the money from your credit card. I cant believe how they have got away with this, something has to be done, these people should be locked up.

I ordered the product about three weeks ago. Loved the makeup at first but I am having a reaction to it and have huge pimple like bumps all over my skin. I have never in my life seen such an awful breakout. I am going to call and cancel my order tomarrow but since reading all of these complaints I am terrified about what this company may do to my checking account. I am going to report my debit card lost - so that I am assured there is no way that they can make future debits on my account for a product that has made me look scary!

I have also had problems with Guthy-Renker with Sheer Cover. It is such a shame because I truely loved this product. I only switched to Bare Minerals because of the lousy customer service with this company. I have been double charged, recieved product that I didn't order, wrong colors. It came to the point of documenting every converstion that I had with this company. I will never order anything from Guthy-Renker. I doesn't matter how great the commerical is,I will surf on by. Sheer Cover get a clue. Find another avenue to market your product.

I read the complaints on this website and called immediately to cancel the order I had made a few hours earlier. The company refused to listen to me and told me that I had to pay for the product. I went to my bank and had my card red-tagged and disposed of. I am not impressed with this company and couldn't believe the crap they tried to pull with me when I made the original order. I really refused to ever buy anything like this again!

I wish I had seen this website BEFORE ordering. I have a similar story that goes like this: I called to place my order on Sunday, and after reading this today (Tuesday) called to cancel. They asked for a customer number which I do not have, then could not locate my order. They said the only other way to look up the order was by credit card and stupid me, I gave them my number! Don't know what I was thinking, but I just wanted to get this resolved. Alicia promised that I will only be billed a one-time fee of $35.90 and I have been cancelled from the "program", so we'll see if that sticks. At first she couldn't locate the order and said I wasn't in the system yet, then when I said I wanted to cancel she said the order had already been processed and was "en-route" to me. Who knows, this product may or may not show up at my doorstep, hopefully I will not be charged in the future because my bank just informed me that since I used a Visa check card, there is no way to dispute the charges unless the VENDOR agrees to credit my account. I guess if worse comes to worse, I will need to close that account and open a new one. I had a bad experience (which I had forgotten until now) with Guthy-Renker 2 years ago, I ordered the Winsor Pilates (Just ONCE) and never agreed to anything else, my account was charged repeatedly, sometimes twice in one month. Like everyone else has said "Buyer Beware"! Stick with Bare Escentuals!! They sell it at Sephora and certain salons are carrying it as well. Hope this helps someone else from making a mistake.

I saw this product on tv and I could not believe how amazing it is. But then I went onto their website and THEY ONLY POSTED ingredients FOR THAT ONE ITEM, THE MINERAL POWDER. You know that it is a scam from that point on because they don't want to tell you what is in the OTHER PRODUCTS they Offer. And even in the ingredients the list in the ONE MAKEUP PRODUCT, IT MAY CONTAIN blah blah....there is like other things in it that MAY be in it? They claim is good for you...but how? They are out to scam the people that don't think twice about researching the product. There is no scientific explaination except for those silly 3rd grade goodness explaination. BECAREFUL

I am panicking as I read more and more stories...I just received my trial shipment with a note that I was enroled in the automatic shipment option. I did not sign up for this feature but as I see, Gunthy-Renker took it upon themselves that I should be. I immediately called Visa to see if I could block any future purchases from being placed on my card. The Visa complaints department called the 1-800 # for me and were on the line with me as I cancelled my account. The customer representative did not give me any problems and said that my account was indeed cancelled and that I will be receiving my cancellation confirmation in the mail. At least I know that I will be covered by Visa since they were witnesses to the fact I cancelled the account. I am skeptical however, that this issue is resolved. After reading how people have had to cancell their account over and over again, I am preparing myself for some grief in the upcoming months. Visa has advised me to keep a detailed record of all correspondence and calls I make to Sheer Cover and they have a note in my file that I have cancelled before the next shipment date. I only hope that I have cancelled in time before my automatic, unwanted shipment is charged to my account. I think that I will call the customer service # tomorrow and see if they did indeed cancell my account- I'm willing to bet that it takes several days "to process" so that they can squeak in another charge. I only wish that I had come accross this website before ordering...I will NEVER again purchase anything from an infomercial and I will always make sure that if I buy online that it is only from a reputable vendor- Do your homework & BUYER BEWARE!!

I've had the same awful experience as all of the other writers, leaving me with absolute resolve to never order this stuff again. The celebrities endorsing this product should be ashamed of themselves. Perhaps, with their loads of money, they've lost touch with the needs of working people and that we are not in a position to waste money on products we no longer want. I had a previous experience with G & R when I ordered hair care products, and could never get off the merry-go-round of auto ship.

Hello all, I totally sympathize with what you're all going through because I went through the same thing. Despite the fact that I called them to cancel future shipment (after 2 weeks of having the first trial-basis product), they still sent me their products. I had to return them back and e-mailed them to cancel and ask my money back only to receive really nasty reply from their customer service. They wouldn't even return my money although I've returned the product. But I didn't stop, I kept on e-mailing them, confirming that I cancelled my membership and saved everything they wrote back to me. Unfortunately, they still charged my card a month or so later so I ended up cancelling my credit card. Then they couldn't charge me again, the funny thing is they actually mailed me a letter saying that they're going to either sue me or report me as a delinquent to the credit bureau. I did end up calling them again and talked to one of the customer service. He sounded polite and said that the company was having a glitch, and that they've received back all the products (that I didn't order, but they kept sending to me anyway), and that I shouldn't be charged anymore because I've cancelled my membership with them -- like 2 weeks after my first product-the trial basis arrived(Well, I did mention to him that I have all the correspondence with them stored--to prove that I wasn't a member of their "club" so he couldn't exactly disprove me on this one). Now that I've read all this, I'm getting freaked out. What if they actually reported me as a delinquent anyway although he said it's all a misunderstanding--they just were having trouble with their computer? I haven't checked my credit report in a year...I will do that as soon as possible. I suppose my advice is to actually call your bank and tell them you want a new card if Sheer Cover won't stop charging you and keep all e-mails. (The ones where you said you cancelled and their responses--because it'll be very useful later on) Thank you for sharing with everyone your horror story, let's hope not a lot of people go through this matter.

I bought this product and didn't like it, and returned it. Fortunately I didn't sign up for their automatic ship program. But I just noticed this month charges from a company called Simply You. Apparently Sheer Cover signed me up for one of those programs where you supposedly try it for 30 days and then have to WRITE if you want them to cancel! I never signed up for this program. I have sure learned to read my credit card bill very closely from this. I'm out $300. Any company that does this kind of thing is really dishonest.

I placed an order for the Introductory Kit this evening then saw this website and thought about what I had just done. I tried to call customer service to have the order cancelled and they gave me some bull about not being able to cancel the first order. This is absolutely ridiculous...if they can accept an order, they can surely take it off within a matter of hours. That's how long it took for me to call them, an hour and a half tops!! I let them know that we would be calling VISA to dispute the charges and I would refuse the package if and when it got here and that I would be reporting them to the BBB. I really do wonder if Leeza Gibbons is aware of the practices of the company she is endorcing? To anyone thinking about ordering this product...THINK TWICE!!! You will be sucked in and locked into something you may not even like or want!!!

I purchased this item and actually LOVED IT! But since I hadrdly wear make up, I didnt need so many shipments. I knew I was going to be billed monthly, but I thought I could cancel my membership after the first shipment, so I did. The following month I was still billed. I called, disputed the charge and 2 months later got my $45 back. The following month I got a shipment! so I sent it back and called to AGAIN, canceled my membership & 3 months later I got my $ back. months later, I see a charge in my account for $45. I call, express all my frustration and to "assuered" i will no longer get any shipments and in March, got charged again with a box of sheer cover on my doorstep! Theres no shame, but I am doing something about it. I dont have the time to wait 15min or more on hold to be told the same thing....

Well I'm really really mad about this, I bought the product and in fact I liked it. The problem I have is that my account is being debit every month since I've bought the product in a one off deal. No extra shipments (which in actual fact I have not received) despite my account being debit. Wortst of all is the customer service I can't seem to get trough to any one and I've about had it. Wasting money like I'm Posh B is not in my agenda and I would like to have a refund on all the payment/s that Sheer Cover has taken. Please if any of you unhappy customer/s have any proper contact details for these ripp offs I would highly appreciate it, cuase I'm beyond my frustration border.

I tried the make up it was ok . But no where near as good as Bare Minerals. And I shipped it back a month or more ago and still have not been credited back and they were not supposed to auto ship a thing. And they did May be if we post this Leeza Gibbons will get tired of her site be hit with this and do something about it. Leeza Gibbons: []

First I have to say that I do infact like the product, so much so that like and idiot, I ordered it again. I thought that I wouldn't get caught in the shipment scam again. Boy was I wrong. After canceling the first time right after I ordered it. I was told the smae thing about having to wait for the "membership number". So I figured I would try it. I did try it and liked the coverage. Even if it made my wrinkles stand out a bit more it covered the red from my rosacea. I did cancel after the first shipment because come on who spends that on Makeup. Finally after 4 MORE shipments and the hassle of returning it was cancelled. A year later I was asked to be in a wedding and needed the coverage again. So the whole thing started again. The Customer Service is woefully lacking in any skills other than to say Hello. I secretly think that they are bringing home great bonuses from all of us. I will never order from this company again!

Ladies and gents, Right now I am in the middle of trying to resolve the same situation as mentioned by many. The telephone operater was told repeatedly by me that I was not to be enrolled in any autoship club. She assured me that I would not be. Then I read online the reports on this site and got that sinking feeling. I called back within ten minutes of my order and was told I was enrolled in autoship and nothing could be cancelled. Now I was on a mission. I started on my quest and would not take any stonewalling. PLEASE KNOW, this is not about the product, but business policies. You need to call/write directly to the corporate office which is GUTHY RENKER 41-550 Eclectic St. Suite 200 Palm Desert, CA 92260 ph 760-773-9022 fax 760-773-9016. Go online and read about the company and the founders. As stated in Advertising Age, May 02,2005," ...the company started to shift to products that would be replenished on a regular basis, a way to ensure ongoing revenue streams ..."Also, in the same article..."Guthry was involved in the creation of the industry's first trade group, which crafted industry standards. The goal was to fend off regulatory concerns over deceptive practices." Now, we can see that we are really up against a contrived( a polite word)business practice that has taken on a life of its own and is taking our credit cards hostage. We must continue to fight this practice and this company. As of now, I am daily checking my credit card and will see if they follow through with the guarantee that my credit card will not be chaarged for original purchase. I have alerted my cc company as to my dispute. I am watching for the posting. Even if this situation is resolved as the company promised,( which I doubt) I will continue with paper, email, phone correspondence to put the company and Mr.Renker and Mr. Guthry on notice. I'll follow up this email with my results and any specifics as to the corporated people with whom I spoke.Also. can we start a list of other palces to report this company, such as BBB? Let us not put up with fraudulent companies stealing our money and good sense.

This company has sent my wife a new box of the overpriced make-up despite a call to the company to stop all further shipments. About three weeks ago i was looking at my online bank statement and seen that a charge was about to post the next business day. I called my wife and she in turn called the company. The charge disappeared from my statement. Yesterday I seen another box outside of my door. WOW!! Everyone, please take the time to file a complaint with the BBB. Because of the lack of feedback from those of us who Sheer Cover has tken advantage of they enjoy the highest rating for a company. Let's get out the word to all who post here to file a complaint TODAY!! I will send this box back on Monday with every means to track and have it signed for. God bless you on you dealing with this company. I cannot understand how the operators can stand to work for a company who will daily rip off their customers with brazen lies. Rick.

I ordered online today and just 5 minutes later read all of the complaints. I freaked. I called and tried to cancel membership (site says "you can cancel ANYTIME) and I reminded them of that. Was told I wouldn't have a customer account number till 48-72 hours. Asked for a supervisor...I made it clear no charges should be on my account till wednesday cuz w/out a customer account number I wouldn't expect any charges on my visa till Wednesday...She himmed and hawwed then said that may not be true. I said I will call you Wednesday, get my account number to cancel my membership, record the call, contact my attorney, and make a report to the BBB at that time. Himmmmm, she said maybe my order wouldn't even go through due to a glitch in the computer..I said that would be great if the order hadn't gone through. I wonder if, by some magical coincidence, my order would dissapear and not go through. I will contact visa on Wednesday and tell them any further charges from Sheer Cover are UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES. IF YOU HAVE COMPLAINTS CONTACT THE BBB. You can file a complaint online...This place only has 48 complaints so DO YOUR PART and report them. And tell the Customer service at Sheer cover you are recording the call when you speak with them. Good luck. I will accept the first 29.00 shipment if I get it but NO MORE. Then I'll get it off ebay if I like it that much. But read the fine print because it DOES say that you will be enrolled in the membership and will be billed EVERY Month. Even if you only get product every 3 months. THATS PRETTY EXPENSIVE MAKEUP.

I ordered a starter kit in November and actually liked the product. I reordered in January and was billed for something I never recieved although it was "on it's way" for 4 weeks. When I called for the 3rd time in February, they said it was returned. In my second order they billed 2 of the 4 items at a higher price. Through all this I have spoken to 5 different people. The shame is that I like Sheer Cover but all these billing and customer service issues make it not worth it. I plan on canceling my "membership".
