I bought these knives 2 times... once 2 years ago, and again 6 months ago. i bought the full set with the knife block.... and may i say all knives are good, and work well. sure they will rust if left in water, or left sitting in a sink... but that is not how you should treat knives. mine are all rust free and working perfectly as i wash and then let them dry in the rack... i dont let them sit dirty in the sink. I am sorry if this opinion is different than yours, but the fact is, my mom, my aunt, my brother and i all have these knices, and we have all found, if you take care of them, they last a long time and work well..... if you want to treat knives badly and expect them to last forever, you should expect to pay $40 or more for EACH knife... not $40 dollars for all knives. you get what you pay for, and in this case, i feel this is a great deal, you just have to take care of them properly. in other words, they are not for lazy people who leave their dishes unwashed for weeks at a time.

Suprising I did receive but is missing 4 knives. I called at the begining of July to report missing knives and after sitting on hold for 40 minutes (not to mention using 40 minutes of my cell phone minutes) they told me that they will be shipped out in 7 business days. NEVER received them. I just called again and sat on hold for 20 minutes and was told my request is still processing and it usually takes 3 days so if thats the case and its now the end of July, why havent it already been processed because I believe 3 1/2 weeks is longer than 3 days. I demanded to speak with a supervisor and he kept saying they were in a meeting and I said I did not care and I better speak with someone NOW. He put me on hold for another 15 minutes to come back and say there is no body. He then gave me the Corp. number and I asked for his name and ext. so I can report him. I hang up and call the number he gave me to find out it is not a correct number and since I signed up for a 3 Payment plan, I called my bank and canceled my debit card. So yeah I paid the 1st payment already but those scammers will not get the additional 2 payments. SCREW THEM!

Wow! Some of you were actually able to make contact with Ronco? Every time I called I got put on extended hold and never got a chance to talk to anyone. My emails to them came back as undeliverable too. All of my stainless steel steak knife handles have the mild steel attaching hardware rusted away and are useless now. The never needs sharpening Showtime knife barely cuts anything anymore. After reading from the rest of you about the cost of replaceing them, even if I were to get through to a semi-english speaking person, its obviously not worth the time. Thanks for the information!! I will save myself a lot of time and trouble now by just tossing my set into the garbage can where it belongs.

I ordered a set of knives in february of 08. I have yet to receive any knives or refund. Everytime I call a supervisor is not available or the systems have crashed. I have called to cancel the order numberous times but have not received any knives or refund. I would like to file a police report.

My husband got me the knife set for Christmas. Shortly after getting them the blades started to rust. I sent Ronco an e-mail asking how to use the lifetime warranty. I got no response. So, I just now finally got a chance to call Ronco and use my joke of a lifetime warranty. I called and first let me say you can't hardly understand what they are saying. When I told them what was wrong with the knifes they told me to ship the knifes back to them at my expense and pay them $17 to ship a new one to me. Correct me if I'm wrong but at that price I could buy the new set and get a free set. The new set is $39.99 and you get a free set. By the time I send my set back and pay for the shipping to me I'm already paying at least $34. Needless to say I'll be throwing this knife set away and know that I've learned my lesson the hart way. I'll never buy Ronco again. Just as a little warning to those of you who are for some odd reason still thinking about buying these knifes. The knife block is not included. If you do buy them I hope you have a better experience an I did.

Worst company I have ever dealt with, bar none!!!!! I ordered two sets as gifts November 10, 2007 on their two for one offer. I was excited because I thought that my Christmas shopping had been with a quality item. I was told that I would get them way before Christmas. Supposedly it would take no more than 10 days to reach me. I waited 6 weeks and didn't receive them. Meanwhile I had to buy other gifts in place of the knives to give. It was an expensive Christmas when I was trying to save money. Service?? I was constantly told that they were in the warehouse, back ordered, on their way, etc. Then I was told they had left the warehouse and I should be receiving them in a day or two. Ha!!!!! A lot of day or twos went by so I finally got so exasperated that I called to cancel the four sets that were to be coming. I was told that one set had already left the warehouse and I couldn't cancel that set. Their warehouse I was told was in China. That's right, they were being manufactured in China. So much for the quality story. I too went through multiple calls with people I couldn't understand when they spoke. I asked for the number to the head office to place a complaint. The head office is supposedly in California. Upon being given that number, I called many times until I finally got so sick of it all that I told them I would report their company. That got me through at last to someone there (who still had a foreign voice) and then to Ron himself. I was able to cancel one set but the other I was told was already on its way. I am holding onto the knives to give as gifts this year (Christmas 2008) not because I think they are so great, but because I have paid for them and have no need for two sets myself. I didn't even need one. It is now eight months later, (nearly July 2008) and today I got a call that they were unable to process my payment so I still owed them $46.75. They made certain the payment went through immediately in Nov. 2007. In telling them it was on my bank statement, all of a sudden I owed them nothing. I don't know if they are just very dishonest or horrible record keepers and poor business people. I tend to believe the dishonest one. Quality of product?? The knives are only worth the $26 or so that you pay for them when buying the two for one offer. If you have ordered and haven't received anything, stay on their tail and don't give up until you get them or get your money back. Don't let them get away with their scam. I'll join a class action suit too if one comes to fruition.

OK, so I am back with an update to my story that I reported at the 1st of June. It has only gotten worse. I too was told supervisors only work 10-2 pst. when I tried to get transferred the line dropped and i called back and they said their policy was to transfer and drop the line if no supervisor was available. I contacted the BBB and was advised by [] at Ronco that I would receive my refund upon receipt of my return. The received the return 6/19/08 and i called and they said that I still had to wait 7-15 business days for them to process it. I called on 6/20/08 and was told it was in process--which it wasn't. When I contacted [] she finally got back to me on 6/24 and advised that the refund would be processed 6/25. It is 6/26/08 and my CC takes 3-5 business days to process the refund. I have reported them again and I also advised her that had the refund been processed on 6/19/08 as she advised me it would then the 3-5 business day wait would be up. These people do not know how to deal in customer service. Please let me know if a class action suit is filed cause I am all about it if it is. STAY AWAY FROM RONCO!!!!!

So I too am sorry that I just found this site. I placed my order on 4/20/08 and low and behold on 4/22 I received an email saying that my order had been shipped. I was excited. Well that was short lived. I received the two knife blocks and nothing else. I waited 2 weeks and then called. I was told there was an error at the warehouse and they have corrected it and my order would ship within a couple days. After 2 weeks, NOTHING! I called back and was told that the item was back-ordered, but they had just gotten them in and it was on it's way. Ok, so I wait 2 more weeks, NOTHING!! I call again and ask for a supervisor. I was told supervisors were only available 10:30a - 2p Pacific. Okay, I say I will call back. I call back and I'm given the number for the Corporate HQ, where supposedly I can speak to a supervisor. The number is continuously busy. I decide to go a different route. I call and ask again for my order I am told to hold and then I am told he has just put through the order again. I call back 30 mins later. I ask this rep SWEETLY to pull up my order, then before he knows what is happening I am gently making him read me what it says on his screen for my order. I ask, has my order been shipped. he say yes. I ask when, he says 4/22. I ask my entire order? He says yes. I say, "then please tell me why I only got the blocks?" SILENCE! He then puts me on hold and comes back with a different order number. So in essence he created a new order fr me. I called back in an hour and the new order was there in the system. That was about a week and a half to 2 weeks ago. I finally got the knives yesterday. I have to tell you when I say you get what you pay for, I'm not kidding. I haven't used them yet, but they are so light, I can't imagine that they will be very effective. I'm send an upadte in a few days. My advice though. STAY AWAY FROM RONCO!!!!

Well, I wish I had found this site before I ordered, but when the order for the two knife sets and block (a separate purchase) was placed on February 1, 2008 I had no reason to suspect that RONCO was not a reliable, reputable company. Now it is June 16 and I have not received my order. I've called customer service 5 times, the first was at the 8 week mark since they say to allow 4-6 weeks shipping (but most orders arrive in 3 weeks or less they said). That first call they told me the knives were back ordered and would take a little longer. The next time I called I was told my order had been misplaced and they would ship "right away". The next time I was told that the company had relocated and mine had gotten lost in the shuffle. The next time I called I was told that my order had been placed on hold, they did not know why but it would be shipped "right away". They would not refund my money because they said the order has already been processed, and I now fear that it's too late to dispute the charge with my CC company because it's been four-and-a-half months. Perhaps the worst part is that when (or if) the knives finally show up, THEY ARE JUNK! I strongly suggest you avoid this company. I will be keeping a keen eye out for the class-action lawsuit.

I ordered 2 Ronco Knife blocks and 2 Ronco Rollers on December 26, 2007. I still have NOT recieved the items after several phone calls and emails. I have finally disputed the charge with my credit card company in hopes to get my $140 back. In the meantime, I have the Ronco knifes (gift from mom) and no blocks! Hope to find someone other than Ronco.com that sells those.

My husband ordered these for me on 6/5/08. Once he realized I really didn't want them we tried to cancel the order that night. We were told we couldn't cancel the order b/c the order couldn't be seen at that time. I called back 2 days in a row and was told the first time that it still couldn't be seen and the last time that it couldn't be cancelled b/c it was already in process. I was then told to send the product back and we would be refunded less S&H. that is absurd. I have to be charged S&H for something I tried to cancel in the first place. Anyway, now they are telling me that I can cancel the order but they can't guarantee any future charges not to go on my credit card. this is ridiculous!!! Do not deal with Ronco. They are a very customer unfriendly place of business.

My husband ordered these knives after repeatedly watching the infomercial and deciding he needed them. He ordered the black set as our kitchen is accessorized in black. Lo and behold we received the white ones. He immediately called Ronco and was told that they made an error and we would be receiving a postage paid label to send them back. Three weeks later we still hadn't received the label so he called again. He was told we should receive it soon because they were going to put another request through. Again, we didn't receive it. I called four weeks after the second phone call and was told we would definitely have it in 10-15 days. It has now been 22 days since that call and no label. I tried calling again today and I was just on hold forever and no one picked up the phone. I think my next course of action is to call the credit card company to see if there is any recourse there. And if all else fails, a call will be made to an attorney.

I have just bought these knifes but after reading these claims i'm going cancel my order. But for those who never got the product make file a dispute with you credit card company as soon as possible, they only give you less then 3 months to do so. I have experienced this situation with a different infomercial (storm vac) but for me it was too late when i've learned that i was file a dispute and get my money back.

I ordered the Ronco Knives back in November 2007, Ronco charged my credit card but the knives never came. In Feb. 28 2008 I called and cancelled my orde, by then the company had charged my credit card 2 more times totalling $106.27. I have called the customer service or order number and I keep being told the refund check is coming but it never does. Its been 3 months since I cancelled the order and still no refund from them. This is a rip off of a company and I will never order anything from them again, all I get is the run around.

I purchased a set of Ronco Six Star Knives. I recently had a handle brake on me and I sent an email asking how exactly I need to get a replacement or get it repaired. It has been 2 weeks and no reply. I called customer service and got a person who spoke very broken english. This person told me that he could'nt do anything to help me. This product supposedly comes with a lifetime guarantee. Apparently the lifetime means nothing.

I ordered the knives on 1/25/08 after seeing the infomercial. It is now 4/21/08, 12 weeks later, and no knives and no contact from Ronco. I've called 4 times and always reach "Rick" who has a very strong accent and is very difficult to understand. He always tells me the same thing "they'll be shipped this week or next". I've also filed three email inquiries to their listed customer service address and have not received a reply to any of them. After reading these other complaints I only wish I had come to this site first. I am going to dispute the charge on my credit card and refuse to pay it.

RE: ORDER # 00043647
Dear Sir;
This correspondence is an attempt to remedy my ongoing and frustrating issue with Ronco Corporation, specifically the above noted order.
Sometime in late January 2008, I saw your commercial advertising your buy one, get one free offer on the Ronco knife set. This commercial represented the knives would come with the butcher blocks. I called immediately, only to find the shipping was in excess of $30. so I declined to order.
Several weeks later, I received a telephone call from a man stating he was a Ronco representative, and he understood I did not order previously because of the shipping costs. He asked if I would be interested in the knife sets if he could get them to me at a discounted shipping cost. He offered the sets to me at approximately $5. less than I had been quoted when I originally called. I declined to order, telling him this was only a few dollars less than before. He then went on to tell me how about if he offered them to me at an additional savings and he could send them for a total shipping of less than $10. I then agreed to the price of $39.99 plus the discounted shipping price of $9.80. I would add that this man spoke very broken English and was very difficult to understand.
I received the knife sets, and to my disappointment, neither of the butcher blocks were included.
I immediately called the toll free number on my invoice (dated 2/20/08) and spoke to Ronco customer service representative Tabitha. I explained the situation and she said I could send the knives back but I would still have to pay for the shipping. I told her I would not pay for the shipping, since this was your misrepresentation. The telephone call I received did not represent this was anything different than what I originally called to order and it was reasonable to expect it would be nothing different.
Tabitha spoke to her supervisor and said she would get back to me within 3-5 business days. I did not hear back from Tabitha.
More than two weeks later, I called again and spoke to Ronco supervisor Emily. She said she would have to pull the recording from my telephone conversation to confirm what I was stating and she would get back to me. I did not hear back from Emily.
Several weeks later, on 4/4/08, I called and spoke to Ronco customer service representative Brian. Brian stated that he spoke to his supervisor Emily and that he could not handle my situation in their office. He stated that he had to forward my issue to the corporate office and their telephone number for my information is (805) 433-1030. He stated that I would hear back from them soon.
It is now two weeks later and I have not heard back from anyone at Ronco. I would like to inform you that I am understandably beyond disappointment and frustration with your company’s customer service.
I would like what was represented to me, which was the knife sets, buy one, get one free, including the butcher blocks. I would also like to inform you of my intentions of exercising my right to filing a complaint with my State Attorney Generals Office for your misrepresentation in advertising and unacceptable customer service if my issue is not dealt with promptly.
You may promptly ship my two butcher blocks to my mailing address at:

ronco has not given a good reply to my request to return or they need to provide the items they advertize. They immediatelly charge your acct.
