I purchased a set of Ronco Six Star Knives. I recently had a handle brake on me and I sent an email asking how exactly I need to get a replacement or get it repaired. It has been 2 weeks and no reply. I called customer service and got a person who spoke very broken english. This person told me that he could'nt do anything to help me. This product supposedly comes with a lifetime guarantee. Apparently the lifetime means nothing.

I ordered the knives on 1/25/08 after seeing the infomercial. It is now 4/21/08, 12 weeks later, and no knives and no contact from Ronco. I've called 4 times and always reach "Rick" who has a very strong accent and is very difficult to understand. He always tells me the same thing "they'll be shipped this week or next". I've also filed three email inquiries to their listed customer service address and have not received a reply to any of them. After reading these other complaints I only wish I had come to this site first. I am going to dispute the charge on my credit card and refuse to pay it.

These people need to be put out of business. April 17, 2008 Ronco Acquisition Corporation Attn: Terry Tigner, CEO 3850 Royal Avenue Simi Valley, CA 93063 RE: ORDER # 00043647 Dear Sir; This correspondence is an attempt to remedy my ongoing and frustrating issue with Ronco Corporation, specifically the above noted order. Sometime in late January 2008, I saw your commercial advertising your buy one, get one free offer on the Ronco knife set. This commercial represented the knives would come with the butcher blocks. I called immediately, only to find the shipping was in excess of $30. so I declined to order. Several weeks later, I received a telephone call from a man stating he was a Ronco representative, and he understood I did not order previously because of the shipping costs. He asked if I would be interested in the knife sets if he could get them to me at a discounted shipping cost. He offered the sets to me at approximately $5. less than I had been quoted when I originally called. I declined to order, telling him this was only a few dollars less than before. He then went on to tell me how about if he offered them to me at an additional savings and he could send them for a total shipping of less than $10. I then agreed to the price of $39.99 plus the discounted shipping price of $9.80. I would add that this man spoke very broken English and was very difficult to understand. I received the knife sets, and to my disappointment, neither of the butcher blocks were included. I immediately called the toll free number on my invoice (dated 2/20/08) and spoke to Ronco customer service representative Tabitha. I explained the situation and she said I could send the knives back but I would still have to pay for the shipping. I told her I would not pay for the shipping, since this was your misrepresentation. The telephone call I received did not represent this was anything different than what I originally called to order and it was reasonable to expect it would be nothing different. Tabitha spoke to her supervisor and said she would get back to me within 3-5 business days. I did not hear back from Tabitha. More than two weeks later, I called again and spoke to Ronco supervisor Emily. She said she would have to pull the recording from my telephone conversation to confirm what I was stating and she would get back to me. I did not hear back from Emily. Several weeks later, on 4/4/08, I called and spoke to Ronco customer service representative Brian. Brian stated that he spoke to his supervisor Emily and that he could not handle my situation in their office. He stated that he had to forward my issue to the corporate office and their telephone number for my information is (805) 433-1030. He stated that I would hear back from them soon. It is now two weeks later and I have not heard back from anyone at Ronco. I would like to inform you that I am understandably beyond disappointment and frustration with your company’s customer service. I would like what was represented to me, which was the knife sets, buy one, get one free, including the butcher blocks. I would also like to inform you of my intentions of exercising my right to filing a complaint with my State Attorney Generals Office for your misrepresentation in advertising and unacceptable customer service if my issue is not dealt with promptly. You may promptly ship my two butcher blocks to my mailing address at:

I ordered the knife set for my 75 year old father-n-law on March 19th,'08. They said 10 days.....we're still waiting..it's the 15th of April. Needless to say, he's not happy! By the way, they cash the check quickly.

i had someone order the set of knives over 6 weeks ago. i have been charged 133.00 in two payments, which was to be only 3 payments of 33.... and I still do not have the product. I have called my credit card co. and stop any more payments from ronco. ronco has not given a good reply to my request to return or they need to provide the items they advertize. They immediatelly charge your acct.

Hah...... RONCO=Garbage, whoever said class action lawsuit, I want in with ya. I ordered the Six Star knives back in early Janunary, and still have NOT gotten them. Of course I was charged for them on my credit card. And when I tried to call and send E-mails I couldnt get through to anyone. This is absolutely ridiculous , I have since given up trying to get a hold of somebody at RONCO. I like when Ron Popeil says "if you promise to tell a friend..." haha yeah Ron I do promise to tell many friends about how much of a scam RONCO is and we plan on filing a lawsuit against you. Please join me and contacting the Attorney General Office about RONCO and their products

THey said we'd get a gift card to walmart or some stupid place like that if a life insurance place could callus the next day. My hubby orederd the knife set and something else totaling $125 the money was taken out...The life insuarance place called. And here i sit still with no knifes! So i come on here to look up there website and find that there are many more unsatisfied customers. Im looking into it adn will definatley be doing some investigating.

Last September one of the knives handle came loose so (believing the BS about lifetime guarentee) I mailed it with my 2.50 check. Needless to say I finally got my replacement knife 2 weeks ago. I called at least 5 times and was told: we moved and your knife got lost, we are out of stock, we have them and shipping will be notified ASAP, etc. etc. etc. I even asked to talk to Ron and was denied. I will never buy another Ron product and guess what happened yesterday? The shears broke so all over again!! The rust spots on mine must also be a common problem!!

Do not buy Ronco products, it is a ripoff. I realized a minutes after the order was sent online the value was not as advertised. I emailed and called to cancel the order, but it shipped anyway. The website shipping showed $21.70 for 2 knife sets. They only shipped one set and said I did not pay the $21.70 for the so called free second knife set. Since I placed the order they have changed the website to show shipping of $43.70 for the 2 small packages of knives. That's right $29.99 for 2 knife sets plus $43.70 for shipping. Absolutely no customer service and no reply to any emails I sent to resolve my complaint. I will never order any Ronco product ever again.

I ordered the set of knives along with the wood block on 2/02/08.My credit card was charged the next day. Also my email adress began being buried in spam on 2/04/08.I had placed my order on the internet and had not been to any other sites,so my adress was shared and or sold.It continues to this day, pretty much did not get any spam prior to this.I waited till a few days prior to the 6 week delivery and called customer service to see where my order was.I was told it had shipped 2 days before my call.Waited a week and a half for it to show up,it did not.In the mean time I had found this site with the complaints about Ronco and their knives.Sure wish I had researched more before I ordered.Called customer service again and was told that it had not been shipped and would ship sometime in April.I asked for my order to be cancled and my money to be refunded.Got quite a song and dance and finally after insisting was told it would take up to two weeks to refund my money. No good excuse was given for the delay.Just shy of the two weeks I called again as the money had not been refunded.I was then told it would take another week or so to refund it.Hung up the phone and called Capital One and told them the story. Was told things did not sound right ,save my documentation and they would handle the problem. It is now two days later and my money has been refunded. Can not say enough about the good service from Capital One or the very bad service from Ronco.I figure Ronco was either collecting interest on my money and or was planning to send the products even though the order had been cancled.Buyer Beware.Research First.

I placed the order for the Ronce knives on February 7th 2008. They took the my money right away. Now its March 25th. I contacted Ronco Customer Service two weeks ago, I was told that they were changing their data base and would be another 2 weeks. I waited 2 weeks; and again I called; again I was told that it would take at lest another 2 weeks, that they were changing their data base. I then sent them an e-mail complaining about their service; now they have block all my e-mails. I am afraid I have been subject to some type of scam. Be careful of Ronco products.

I ordered off the internet the Ronco knives on March 9 2008. I was supposed t get charged 3 payments of $33 and change. Well when I ordered the knives I ordered an extra set at "no extra charge" so I thought. On the final checkout page where it was supposed to show me what I ordered and how much my payments were going to be it flashed on payment at $144 and 2 at $33 before it went to a thank you for your order screen. I sent them an e-mail right away complaining about this. I have yet to recieve a response back. When I checked my e-mail the other day I had an auto generated e-mail stating that they could not place a charge on my card. I tried calling them to talk to them about this and I was on hold for over 5 minutes. I never got through to a live person. I had to go and cancel my card before they could try again. Because I can't afford the $144 that they want. I only ordered because I thought I was only going to pay $33 a month.

I've had these knives for over 3 years. The Scissors broke within the first month. The plastic handles fall apart and the knives rust. These supposedly never dulling knives are extremely dull. These SUCK!!

I hope some have had better luck than me. I ordered the TV deal of two sets for the price of one. My God at the S & H prices. I was dumb enough to still order the knives even after hearing the prices. The knives came in along with the block. I then called back to order another block on January 12. It's march 11th and I'm still waiting for my block but they (Ronco) didn't waist anytime taking money from my account

The knifes are suppose to be stainless steel but they get rust spots that can not be removed even with brillo pads. The silver plastic/metal buttons covering the holes on the handles have fallen off and plugged up my dishwasher.

I bought my set in 2001, received it right away. Our knives are used every day since then, they are still in good shape. Last year my husband used they during remoldeling our home because of how well they cut. So the only thing I can say is maybe some people are buying mock up of this knive set. Because we are very happy with the set we purchased. Jackie

On November 13, 2007 I ordered for Christmas a B1G1 offer totalling $83.39 (mostly S&H). The confirmation said 1-6 weeks. 11-16 charged $56.60. (the first of 3 installments). 12-5 I called. 1/2 hour hold. "Was back ordered, shipping now, receive in 10 business days." 12-19 I e-mailed concern. Received $20 off next order by snail mail. 1-03-08 charged $13.20. 1-29-08 charged $13.59. 1-29-08 I called. "Bill" said it should have shipped way before. Will ship next week. 2-12-08 I called to cancel. "Pat" offered a $10.85 credit to keep order. It will ship. She'll call to confirm by 2-15. 2-15-08 Received no call & no credit. 2-21-08 charged additional $70.06! 2-22-08 I called. WTF! "Ricky" said it still didn't ship, there was no $10.85 credit, there was a note that the $70.06 should be refunded, and could only make note of my second request to cancel. Must call back after 1pm my time to speak to a supervisor. I work, I don't have the time. The next time you hear "only three easy payments of $13.33" -- don't believe him. This is a major scam.

Within 3 months of owning this product the handles are falling apart. All of the daily used knives have rust spots on the blade and the rivets used to hold the cheap plastic handles together. Do Not Purchase this product! In order for a replacement I must ship back the knives and not only pay to have them shipped but also pay $2.50 per knife for the replacement. Trust me, they're not even worth $2.50 a piece. Thanks goodness I kept my Chicago Cutlery.

Don't break your knives!! I broke the unbreakable shears and have been waiting over 4 months to be replaced. "Just send the shears back and $2.50 and you get new ones in 4 to 6 weeks" That was back in November. That's their "lifetime warranty" It takes a lifetime to get new ones. I'm afraid to break anything else. But after 10 calls, I'm still waiting for a supervisor to call me back. Just say no to Ronco!!
