About 13 days ago i get a call from a man at SMC. I thought this sounds pretty good. So, I decided to Clim on board. I payed 39.99 for the kit. On the 17th of Dec,2007 they were going to take out 270.99 out of my checking with the same card they use to take out the 39.99. Well, That night i started feeling funny about the whole thing so i decided to do some homework so i got online and look this company up. I though i was going to just lay down and DIE after reading what everyone had to say about SMC. That Monday i called my bank and canceled my debit card. They had already taken out the 39.99. It was Friday that smc and they did not waste anytime taken the money out. But, I was able to cut up my card before they took out the 270.00. I canceled my card and i got a new one within a week. Well, It has been almost 13 days and i have not received my kit yet. I got a letter in a mail saying my website is up and running. I called the # i got from the letter. I called that # and cancel my website. I wonder why it is taken them 13 days to get me my kit. They are going to wait until i am so close to my 30 days that by time they get my kit and letter of cancellation back it will be to late. That is what i have read about them doing to lots and lots of ppl. They make you jump though so many hoop to just send the product and a letter of cancellation that it will take awhile to get to them. Well, I am so glad i went to these sites to read up on these scammers Boy, I feel i was headed for alot of heartache and headache. High blood pressure. I think the reason the law has not done anything to stop this is maybe it is because they are just started to get real real bad that the law will not have any choice but to shut them down. Some companies that has millions and millions think they will not get caught. You can only get by with so much for so long. They been doing this for years ( I guess) and getting away with it. Their time is coming. I know if they put my in collections i will go to the state and see what i can do. I will find out how i can start a class action. Yes, Everyone needs to stand up for what is RIGHT and fight this thing !!! Take care and good luck everyone. I will come back and fill you in on what happens. Debra

Aftering seeing the commercial I went to their very outdated sites, which sort of contradicted eachother (Red light) and applied for information on SMC. After recieving the mail package the sent (Which was not all that impressive, but did seem ineresting) I waited for the phone call that was promised. A sell's rep contacted me about a week later. During the conversation I listened to the whole shpeal that I heard on the TV add. Then he confirmed my current address and asked for my middle name, which I gave him, but then I told him I wasn't ready to make a choice. This is when it all went down hill. First was the lecture about how you can't make it in life unless you get up and do something about it. I told him it was all interesting, but I wanted to talk to my wife about it. He said 'You can't spend 40 dollars without your wife's permission?' in a rather put-downish sort of way. He then told me the offer for the website was a one time deal (The same offer they had on their infomercial) and that if I didn't accept then, I would lose out, red flags were going off all over. When I told him again that I would like to take my time investing in my future, he got even more pushy. When I told him 'Don't push me into anything I'm not ready for' he hung up. I called the caller ID back and it was simply a phone message telling me to call two different numbers for assistance. After that experience, I can only say that only an idiot would join up with these people. They can't even me curtiouse when they're trying to sell you their product!

I wanted to make a post regarding this company. After watching the commercial for it I thought maybe I could do that. I called made order then researched. Thats where I had realized I had made a mistake. There were many complaints about the company so I tried to call and cancel. They told me I had to wait until I recieved the package to do so. After that it has been a never ending struggle to get my money returned and my account canceled. They took out a years fees of 395.00. I have called and cried on the phone begging to have it returned and still nothing. That was a last resort. Now it has been several months and I finally got on the right track. HERE IS WHAT TO DO Contact ur local police station let them know and file complaint. They will carry it across state lines. Also contact your states consumer affairs. The lady there is wonderful she can either mail or email you a complaint form. You can fill it out and fax it back. I thought that part was awesome because someone actually was trying to help me get this accomplished quickly. After that just go through the chain of command hopefully it will be shut down! Roberts post is what gave me the kick start of calling a police station in CA. Thank you robert.

Like all of you my husband and I ordered the package from SMC. (Actually my husband ordered it) However, what makes our situation a bit different is we already own our own business and have for many years. We were looking for a new wholesaler and liked the idea of the ready made catalogs etc. We were so disappointed with what we received. Their prices are pitiful. They carried pretty much the same stuff as the rest of our wholesellers but at a much higher price. When we went to return the kit we were told not liking their prices was 'subjective' and 'our opinion' and those weren't 'legitimate reasons to return the kit.' We returned it anyway. We received the nasty letters and they kept sending us new catalogs etc. I will say our credit card company (Capital One) was VERY helpful. The rep said they process at least a couple chargebacks and inappropriate charges related to problems with SMC every week. They did reverse our charges and filed a fraud report blocking SMC from putting any more charges on our card. Then SMC started the threats to take us to court. We politely explained our position to them. All the while they are continuing to send us catalogs and crap. Obviously they can't read. We took this up with our local postmaster. He said we could keep or toss the things they were sending. Since we had noifyed them to no avail, everything they sent after that was their problem not ours. 3 years later.... Every now and then we get a bill from a collection agency. After their 2nd or 3rd notice we let them know the status of everything. Eventually they will have to drop it or take us into court. At least then we would get to present our case to a judge. GOOD LUCK And for all those thinking it through- check the internet and yellow pages for wholesalers in your area. You will be much more satisfied. the collection agec

My niece contacted this company and decided she would attempt this. After she found out the cost of 275.00 membership she asked them to hold her check for two days. The coach started telling her about something else and she thought it was a payment toward the membership of $16.95. they charged her bank account 1695.00. she immediately cancelled but the membership fees were only refundable not the web fee. Threats to sue are already in their vocabulary 4 days in. Beware of these scam artists.

My Husband was up late one night and seen the commercial so we talked about it and decided to do it. We thought it would be a good opportunity for me to work from home and go to school and handle kids but were we ever wrong. They charged our account not once but sometimes twice a month for 39.95 now they just sent me a notice saying they are sending me to a collection agency for the balance due of $700. WHAT! I did cancel my account after the first month of charges and then I had to close my account so they would quite charging us. This so called COMPANY is a SCAM and BEWARE. If any action can be taken please someone e-mail me and let me know.

I too have been hit hard by SMC..I will file a class action suit if I can get enough of you to climb on band wagon...I am disabled and was hoping to make some money. They took money from my account, I had told them I wanted to see what they had to offer first. I wanted to view a sellers website, they wouldn’t give me that info, and like a dumb ….I had already given them my credit card info. That person wanted me to spend $1500.00 for add ional gift cards, I said no I wanted to see what came with my kit she said I needed get them now, again ….I got my kit, they charged me the retail price for the merchandise, when I should have been charged the white price. The merchandise was crap…I called and e-mail that I would be hard pressed selling this crap at a yard sale, for 50 cents. I asked the person I got on the phone (might I ad the last person I’ve been able to get on the phone) why would they send merchandise that they themselves couldn’t sell or have over stocked to a new member? And on top of that three weeks later I still did not get the gift cards even though the e-mail they sent me said the cards had been shipped three days after I so called joined SMC.. My e-mail is [] ..I will file a class action suit if I can get enough of you to climb on band wagon...

I too recently fell for SMC's advertisement regarding the opportunity to open my own on-line business. After approving a membership fee of $114.00 (which included the membership start-up kit and web site domain)SMC continued to withdrawl funds from my credit/checking account without authorization. In addition, they also established a PayPal account charging my wife's federal credit union. (Note: my wife had used PayPal on one occasion for an entirely unrelated transaction). Whem questioning SMC about the unauthorized withdrawls, they were unresponsive, did not answer follow-up calls, gave me a run around. I encourage anyone - DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM -. I have reported them to the "BBB of the Southland" Colton, CA" they being the area of responsibility. I also, included this web address for their review.

Please People report SMC to your state Attorney General and BBB. We as so many others tried SMC. Within a month we cancelled because we had become wary of their practices. First it was very difficult to contact anyone to cancel. When we discussed it they would put us on hold and shift us to another person. In order to get a ligitimate corporate email address to document our cancellation I had to go on their Canada website to find one.I used that communication to document our cancellation. As a suprise to us they took out $259.95 out of our checking account that we hadn't authorized. We then closed the account and authorized the bank to investigate. The bank got the money back. Now 6 months later they sent us a collections notice. HA.I implore You,report this to your attorney General and BBB. First If you close the account they will threaten to take you to civil court. Don't fall for it. They are not willing to chance getting investigated. But don't Let their empty threats scare you. If they turn it into a credit reporting agency, File a complaint with those agency's. They will conduct an investigation. Keep the investigative reports from the credit card compnay's, banks etc. Turn this into your Attorney general. If we don't act Companies like SMC will continue to bilk poor people.

My Father ordered this product while in the hospital. He was very ill and didn't know what he was doing. When the membership kit was returned within the 30 days we still didn't get a refund. My father died a few days after the original order and they still refuse to refund the money. PREDATORS!!! Beware!!!

I tried SMC years ago, I was lucky to have mailed a check for my kit. After ordering some of their items /merchandise, which most are junk stuff! You know they (SMC) is in the biz to make money off YOU! SMC don't care about how you're doing. Sounds like SMC turned out to be even more of a FRAUD and SCAM of a company these days. eBay is similiar these days as well. eBay is in the game to make money off of sellers like YOU! They don't care if you sell it or not. If you notice eBay only want you to add all the extras to your listings, so you pay BIG bucks in FEES! The only thing eBay is good for is to get rid of your junk stuff that's gathering dust in your house verses having a garage sale or donating to charity. eBay is sooooo over saturated that you won't make it after you minus ALL the darn fees! Final thought: What goes around comes around, the crooks at SMC will get what's coming to them in Sing Sing prison... bubba is waiting for them. One word of advice to you. Don't bend over to pick up the soap! LOL! Ciao!!

I am a wholesale distributor and I purchased a starter kit from the tv ad for $39.95. I received that, but then they started charging my debit card $79.00 a month for the lifetime membership fee, and i did not agree to those charges. Now my account is in collections and i can't pay the bill. They say i agreed verbally on the phone, which isn't true. This is definitely a scam, and i would like to have some justice here. what should i do?

Once you become a member of SMC you are pretty much stuck with no money return! I was supost to pay just $149.99 to get started, ended up spending $399.99 for the membership and kit. If you try to cancell, it goes against your credit. I am now out over $3,000.00 that they took out of my account. I have nothing now but a few hundred dollars left. I had to cancell my Debit Card so that they couldnt take any more of my bank account. SMC tell's me that I still owe them money, around $1300.00, How can this be? SMC were buying products with my money and trying to sell them and since they didnt sell I was charged a fee for restocking and the item itself. I didnt sell anything. I dont have a thing to show for it, no items and no money profit. I was in this for 2 months and now I am broke. They use our money to make themselves rich! They are very rude and hateful people at SMC, they are very demanding. It alsmost brought tears to my eyes. They are very unprofessional, they need anger mangement councelling. My attorney has found out that people that are tring to defends this product, are acutally the workes at SMC. It is your choice to make a wise decision (not to get tangeled up in SMC) or a decision that will wreck your money world and (make SMC rich). I have talked to my attorney, thank GOD he is a friend that will help me for free, Not so many people will be this lucky. Tell as many people as you can abou this site. BBB needs to get involved in the SMC scam! Please take head in this warning! Holly A********

I knew as soon as they wouldn't give me a call back # because I told them I wanted to discuss this with my husband there was something wrong. In fact as soon as I told them what I wanted to do that is when the high pressure kicked into high gear. I couldn't beleive that the guy that called me refused to give me his number to call him back...what is up with that. Then he started asking me why my marriage was so restricted that I had to ask my husband to make a $35.00 purchase and that he and his wife small financial decisions independentaly all the time. As I hung up the phone I told him that I was not interested in working for a company that had no respect for my marriage and felt the insultments would actually persuade me to work for them. It was a very degrading experience. I guess Tom Bosley needs money extremely bad to endorse this company...he should be ashamed of himself.

SMC is a joke. Do not try it!!! I am wondering if I personally have a case against them. I never personally agreed to any contract, yet they continue to withdraw 39.95 out of my account every month. Doesnt somethinglike this require a written agreement? I dont even remember signing up for the service, and I definitely would not have agreed to a monthly charge. NO WAY.
