I have bought Space Bags in various sizes. I continue to hope that the design has improved. Sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't. I have found that if you place the filled bags in a box (all together now) that you can put more in a box and then if the air leaks back in it's tightly stored in a box (you can get more in a box with the air sucked out of the bags). I use these to store fleece fabric and blankets.

I have tried this product several times. 4 years ago, only 1 bag out of 6 ever held the seal. Just this week I tried a new package of the Extra Large bags hoping they had improved, nope. I packed two pillows into each and both bags began to re-inflate within hours. After 24 hours the pillows were back to their original sizes. You wonder if they ever tested a dual zipper with a fold-over velcro method to reduce the low pressure action on the seal. Of course, the main problem may be in the patented one way valve itself. Don't waste the money.

bought some a while back but evidentally the cat got at it and it wouldn't work. they worked at first but the air goes back into it slowly but surely. Got another couple fo new ones cause I like the idea and i got them at [] at a good price. They had a new vacuum spot so I was hopeful. Put a big comforter into at and vac'd it out. it just doesn't stay air-free. nature hates a vacuum so they say. Must be true.

I am a infomercial freak, I buy it all! Hey! These do not work! Always leak, junk. I bought the large order and used all sizes. Look for mine for sale on ****.

Just purcahsed the Jumbo cube. after filling it with 2 comforters, the zipper literally ripped a hole the bag. This is the worst design I have ever seen on any product. Imagine closing a zip-lock and running the risk of ripping a hole in it every time you use it. It is just maddening that these things are so flimsey and poorly designed.

i too as the the rest tried the space bags, huge mistake but unlike the rest i now have no vacuum cleaner. yep thats right, blew out the motor trying to suck out the air from these little suckers. wish i had done my research and seen this site before!

I stored my winter clothes in the large flat bags through the summer. They stayed flat but when I opened the bags, my clothes stink, of plastic. I've washed them once and they still stink. I may have successfully ruined all of my winter clothes, thanks SpaceBags.

i ordered these bags thinking they would be perfect to store unused beach towels, bedding, etc. i was loading the large bag with curtains in preparation for storage and when i zipped it, the zipper ripped the flimsy material. i called customer service and was told that i would have to cut out the space bag logo and mail it in, include my name and address, and a replacement bag would be sent. it is very hard to get through to a live person and i guess they don't keep a record of orders by address, only by the credit card number. don't waste your time or money on these bags...what a ripoff!!

Space bags are a great concept - in theory. If they actually worked, I would buy a thousand of them, but, sadly, they do not. My problem was not tearing, but rather the 'zipper seal'. Invariably, within an hour of sealing and vacuuming, the bags all re-inflated with air infiltration. The zipper seal is poorly designed and always air to creep back in. Save your $ and don't buy this product!

The bags do tear easily, but they do work if you can get them not to tear. One of them tore while I was filling them up. Becuase it was the biggest one and the most expensive ones, I duck taped it and sucked out all of the air. It worked! (for a while) I shoved it under a bed and left it. A few days later I realized that it had filled back up with air. I had to take apart my queen sized bed to get the bag and all its contents out from under it. It needs to be thicker and more duable so it won't tear.

Never recieved my space bags but the customer service was terrible! I ordered 14 space bags two and a half months ago and got an email telling me my order had been processed. Two and a half months later I really needed to find out why I had never recieved notification that it had shipped. I called customer service and she informed me that right after I placed the order there had been problems with my credit card. THey never attempted to contact me by any means so here i am waiting for months for a space bag order that had never gone through. She seemed very unsimpathetic and quickly got me off the phone. I emailed the company of my problem to notify them politely but firmly of the need to monitor their customer service. They sent me a blanket response that had nothing to do with anything i said and appeared to be just a generic email. I will NEVER do business with this company again.

I purchased the set of assorted sizes. Within hours they began to inflate. They did not work at all and were a waste of time and effort and money. I am very disappointed and will never purchase them again.

same as other complaint.i only used it once and keep it for 6mos.then open it again to use the stuff where i store from the spacebag.but when i sealed it again it suddenly tear the edges.im really disappointed with this useless bag.it seems its only dispossable after one use.

They tear very easily. They are only good for using once and they don't work for long. don't waste your money. If you have something that is really special that you want to have stored, have it doe professionaly.

I bought a set at a local retailer. The seams of the bags tear open very easily and the bags do not stay compressed. I was very disappointed in the product.

Tried them out and they seemed to work well the first time. Only had 1 bag fail to hold the air in. However, don't EVER try to reuse the bag! I had to remove some items in several of the bags and it would never, never deflate again. It didn't matter what I tried. I even tried not using the valve and stuck the vacuum hose in the opening with the seal on each side. What a rip off. I should have spent the money on some solid plastic containers that would fit under my bed.

I am really dissappointed that this product does not work. I really, really wanted it to! Everything worked for me as shown on the commercials and I found the representation to be exact, initially. I purchased a set in a store, the true Space Bag brand, to give myself some additional space in my linen closet. I wanted to take many items....quilts, crocheted blankets, and other things that were special to me and store them safely away and leave more room for the regular-use items in the linen closet. Well, like I said, the product worked exactly as stated it should. I did not overfill the bags, and used just an ordinary inexpensive vacuum to suck the air out. Everything flattened wonderfully and I gained well over 50% of my closet back. However, after a period of time...like a few months, maybe 3 but not 6, the bags all leaked and did not keep the air out. Everything puffed back up. So I ended up paying just to get some big plastic bags. I did not keep the instructions but I do not recall ever hearing that I would need to re-do the packaging frequently. Maybe for a week vacation or a boating trip these would be good, but what they can do is WAY over advertised. I would not buy them again.

I had ordered a set of assorted sizes thru mail. Do not waste your money! The large & extra large sizes do not work plus they are too big to lift & put on a shelf. The small & medium sizes appear to work, but how much can you put in them? Not much!! When I called to complain, they told me to cut out the logo from the bag & send it to them. I asked them to replace the defective large & extra large bags with medium size bags--they sent me 2 more extra large bags instead. What a rip-off! Another family member swears by them--but they are not for me! Total waste of money & time.

Absolute garbage! I filled the jumbo with one Queen comforter. I shoved it under my bed. Two hours later it had completely inflated to where I couldn't get the darned thing out. I had to lift the bed! Why hasn't this also been reported with rip off report.com? These things are such and absolute waste of money!

I bought Space Bags prior to moving over 1,000 miles across the country. I purchased these bags because I had limited space in my vehicle for me, my two cats and my friend. I though they would be a great idea to help maximize space, so I stuffed the car as full as I could....well I was wrong. They were fine for the first day, sealed tight..BUT on day 2 they began to EXPAND. They had not been opened or punctured, etc, they just started to expand. I had nowhere to put them, so by the time I reached me destination me, my kitties and my frind were being shoved out of the car by these SPACE BAGS...we had no SPACE!! In addition, after this incident I decided to keep the bags around for storage (without using the suction, just using as regular bags) BUT then the 'zippers' all broke and would not close... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
