This is not worth the money. It is great for about 2 weeks. Then it starts to slow down. Cleaning it is no fun. Even after a full over night charge it lasts about a minute then dies. I cut the battery pack, installed 6 new [] batteries and the same thing hapenned. I took the battery back out and hooked an ac adapter. Same thing. So either the brushes are worn or something is getting hot?? Most people think it is a battery problem but something else is causing it to stop after 1 minute. A part is worn. Bottom line don't buy it!! It is the 1st time I bought something on TV. But all the money was spent on creating the infomercial not the product!!
Use your leaf blower instead of this product HA.

This is really just a horrible product. It's "risk-free" guarantee has plenty of risk in that they do not disclose that the shipping is NOT refunded. So I am out $60 on my "risk-free" guarantee. The product does not pick up any dirt. I tried it on all 3 power settings on all surfaces - nothing! Don't waste your time or money.

My wife bought the Swivel Sweeper from the info-mercial and didn`t check out the S&H charges. We got a notice that it had already been shipped with a S&H charge of $33.87.It was here the next day, before I saw that these unscrupleous scoundrels had taken advantage of her. When something like this happens you should send it back, unopened. If enough people send them back they will get the message.

I was attracted to the TV ad for the swivel sweeper, and bought it at a chain drug store. Like the others who reported on this, it worked ok for about a month. Then the battery seemed to get weak. I called the company, after searching for their website. spoke with customer service (after being on hold for 30 minutes)
On their website, they say that "customer service is the friendliest.." WRONG They said I must have charged my battery more than 6 hours, and they sold me a new battery totaling over $22, including a $6 s/h charge. It arrived in a crushed cardboard box w/o packing material. I carefully charged the new battery, turned on the machine, and it only worked for 1 minute. When I called again, they were very rude, and tried to sell me a new 'head'. Terrible customer service!

I received my Swivel Sweeper for a Christmas present. I finished using it in the kitchen and turned off the sweeper, set it aside while I was putting things back in place. It then started smoking and the battery started melting in the sweeper. Yes I have contacted the company and am still waiting to hear from a manager!

$29.95 Cost of handling on a 39.95 order is outrageous.
This deceptive practice should be reported to proper authorities and prohibited.

We purchased the sweeper around six months ago. When trying to start the sweeper today, the brushes would not turn. They moved a bit, but wouldn't spin like usual. Thinking that there may be hair, etc. stuck in the brushes, I took the base apart. One of the brushes was firmly stuck. I removed the case where two of the brushes meet and found that the bushing and gear had bound together. I am guessing from heating up due to the lack of lubricant when manufactured.
I called customer service to inquire the cost of the bushing and gear. I was told that they don't deal in parts so I would have to pay $27 for a replacement base.
Like others have experienced, the rep was somewhat rude and so was the supervisor that the call was passed over to.
It's a good little product, but paying $27 for a replacement base when the original cost was around $35 is foolish.
Short product life, expensive replacement/repair costs, rude customer service, equals "I've been had again...."

I bought this sweeper about a month or so ago... the biggest problem is the pick up bin is so small you can do about one fourth of a room before the bin is full and needs to be emptied ..also the brushes get all the hair and lint wrapped around them that you need to clean them off between rooms..... if you have pets this item is a really bad idea it takes longer to clean then it does to sweep up good news is so far i havent had any issues with the battery I guess i have that to look forward too

I actually think it works okay. It does take quite a bit to charge though, and it doesn't pick up everything. You have to be careful not to bang it up against anything while cleaning though b/c the stuff you vacuumed up just spills out. I've had mine working for about 20 minutes tops though, so it doesn't work for as long as they said. Not a horrible product, but not the best

I like the product, but I don't like the PRICE! It is advertised as 2 payments @ $19.99, plus freight. However, when we received the bill on our credit card, it was $90.94! When we called to inquire about the exorbitant charges, we were put on hold forever. We called back, same thing! The credit card company said it's too late to get my money back. FRAUD!

Like many others, I have had problems with the swivel sweeper "customer service" on this product and with the battery not maintaining charge. Unfortunately, I bought 5 of these things (for myself & as presents for others) after finding it an ok product. My original swivel sweeper did quite well for about a month and I was satisfied enough to buy more of them for others. Then the battery started to fail. Later on, I found out all the others I bought were failing in way of battery as well. Customer service does not & will not address the problem except to sell you another battery for an exorbitant amount. I've found that the chargers all have different output voltages (anywhere from 14-17 volts dc). The output rating on the charger is supposed to be 7.5 volts dc. Not sure yet if there is then a problem with the chargers-maybe over amping the batteries and thus ruining them. Checking the battery after charging, they read about 7.75 volts dc. But, the batteries don't have sufficient power to turn the drive motor fast enough?? Don't know where to go with this yet, but was thinking that if the chargers are ok and it's the batteries that fail, a guy could saw open the battery case and replace the batteries with new re-chargeable ni-cad batteries of original description. Anyone have other ideas???

The swivel sweeper doesn't work! I did not have problems with the battery, but this thing works okay the first time (or two), but then it gets clogged up. I was picking up a lot of hair and stuff on my carpet, and it totally clogged it up. I spent about $50 at the store on it -- it's horrible. Better to buy a small vaccum for cheaper, because it will work a lot better.

Product has worked well for about 6 months - then while trying to clean the brushes, one of the catches on the little bin popped out & there is no way to fix it. Very cheap construction - there has to be something better on the market.

I received my Swivel Sweeper as a Christmas gift. My mother had purchased an extra battery for me and one for my sister (in another state) as well. I only received one battery while my sister received three. After I received my sweeper, I found that the battery did not hold the charge for long at all. I waited until my sister could send the extra battery, but that battery did not hold a charge either. It was some time before I took the sweeper and batteries with me while visiting my mother and found that it was not the batteries that were faulty, but the sweeper. I had tried to contact the company but had no luck getting an answer to my emails. After I was finally able to reach them, they would not help me because they said it was beyond the 60-day warranty for the product. I asked to speak with a supervisor. My mother had spent over $100 with their company, and I had never even been able to use the sweeper. The supervisor was very rude, and even went so far as to say the warranty was actually 90 days - but by this time another month had passed since my correspondence with the company, etc. Personally, I feel the company itself is lacking more than the product.

This product works very well on hard surface floors. It DOES NOT have enough power to work on carpets. Dont think it will take the place of your vaccume cleaner on your carpets, it wont !!

I charged the battery like they said but after about three minutes the battery when dead I thought I hadn't charged it long enough than charged it again same thing happened again fortunately I only paid 29.99 thru [] but I feel for those that paid more the sweeper is a piece of sh---.

I purchased it and tried it as soon as I got it. The battery lasted about a minute and died. After several hours of recharging, I tried it again and it does not pick up anything. It is totally useless as a vaccum. Since it came with a 60 day money back guarantee, I sent it back at my expense and requested the refund. It was delivered to the company as verified by the post office conformation,on Feb 14, 2008. I called on the 19th to see when they were going to refund the amount to my credit card and was told they haven't received the item yet. Sounds like a game they want to play to keep the money, however they are trying to play with the wrong person here. I will give them a week to credit my account and if not, I will persue interstate fraud charges against them.

I bought this with a gift card for my tile floors & occas. carpet p-u. I too loved it @ first then have had the same problems with it not wanting to run more than a minute, if that. That is pretty sad that the battery is messed up if you charge it too long, not to mention people who dont & it still happens. Great concept, Great Rip-Off!!!!!
