One Saturday morning, i'm at home watching tv and i come across this infomercial about this "Great Iron". I have extremely thick hair and i'm always looking for something new and good that would work for my hair. So i thought let me try this product. It looks pretty good. I call the company and order ONE iron and i look forward to using it. What do i get in the mail, TWO Tru Ceramic Pro Irons when i only asked for ONE. They charged me for both irons. I get really upset call them up and they admit it was their mistake and for me to send the second one back. Then i reconsidered it and thought let me give this iron to my sister. I give it to my sister and she comes to use the piece of shit iron and it does not work. WoW what a great iron it doesn't even work at the first try. So i said thats it let me send this broken iron back and get my damn money back. My iron worked fine. Infact, i liked it. I swear i used the Tru Ceramic Iron 3-4 times and it just stopped working. I had a party to go to that night and I blow dried my hair but of course I need to iron it and i plug the cheap thing in and it does not work. I was livid. I should have know better than to order something from Tv anyways. This is a cheap material iron that they are selling for $119. Not worth it. It is horrible. I was so excited to get it and it completely changed my mind. It is a piece of shit iron and not worth a penny. I just went to the post office and returned the second iron because it just STOPPED WORKING!!!! I can't believe it. I want my money back and i better get it back. Dont purchase this iron you will regret it. I mean it.

I buy this product a few months ago, and love it but it just stop working. Not having any luck in finding the company. I just need information on how to get it fix. Not like some I paid over $200, with the extra supplies. I would like to at least get my money worth.

Purchased two of the TCP and both have been sent back 6 times combined for replacement. They keep turning off, and each time I call to fix it, I am responsible for the shipping. How is this company still in business? They do not stand behind their product, accept no returns and refuse to honor thier warranty that I purchased. And the telephone number to contact them only gives you customer service, who in turn consitently tells you that a supervisor will call back, to no avail. I have asked for a corporate number and they tell me they do not have one. I just want what I paid for.

I bought this product not to long ago and now its not working anymore. I have tryed calling this 800 number but no one answers. I also am still paying for it,and don't know what else to do. Do I not pay for it? How do I go about stopping this payment from my account.

I bought this item thinking I was going to have the best straightner. I was wrong. Not only did it stop working but the handle broke right down the middle. I called to have it replaced and I was told that I had to pay for the shipping. I think for what I paid for it I should not have to pay for anything else. It worked really nice until it started to shorten out on me. Some days it would work and others it wouldnt. I have a much cheaper srtaighter now and it works much better. I am not burning my hands or my hair.

I paid $120 for the FAKE ceramic pro and it stopped working after about 4 months. Now I need to find out how to return or replace it. I thought it would work for a long time and I am sorry to say that I wasted my money on it!!!

The first time I purchased the true Ceramic pro it stopped working after 3 months. I got it replaced. The new one stopped working after 4 months. It works well but don't waist your money this product does not last. I have straightners that I've own for years that are still working.

I bought the True Ceramic Pro last year and i am not satisfied at all the red ceramic is comming off the iron and now the iron is completly black and it is just killing my hair. I can not even touch my hair when i have just straightened it becasue it burns my hand. Most of the time it does not straighten my hair the first time around and then if i go outside it just gets curly again. I regret buying this product.

When I first purchase my TCP a week later the red ceramic top layer came off I called the # and fortunately got it replaced, and ofcourse I too had to pay for the shipping. The replacement has been working ok, Ive had it over a year and the two things i've notice is that the tangle free cord, doesnt work it gets tangle all the time. They too claim you can get the iron close to your scalp and will not burn Wrong, NOT TRUE it does burn... and even the handle gets really hot its hard to handle without burning your hands..!!! So I do regret buying it, i'm sure theres one better out there...

7/16/2007 - Shelli writes:
It worked great for about 2 months then it started shorting out. It still kinda works if I hold the cord into the end just right. The tangle free cord never did work the way it was supposed too & ended up a tangled mess. The company told me I must have pulled on the cord too hard. I do love how soft & silky it made my hair though. I probably won't buy another one!

I have seen the informecial in the TV, and I was looking for this product. I had a rule before buying anything I go straight to the internet and see if the product had complaints. I get this site and I was really bothered to read about persons buying such cheap quality iron, so I decided to not waste $130.00 if the product doesnt had any guarantee. The store told me that it is only 30 days. My gosh!!! 30 days for this thing??!!! Maybe they really know how a piece of junk is this iron. So I decided to bought it on Ebay, spend only $30 bucks for the same package that is sold for $130.00... and it worked perfect for the past 3 months. This morning I tried to turn it on and nothing. It just doesnt work anymore. So people, open your eyes and try to spend more in a real good ceramic iron at a beauty supply, and not in this piece of junk. And if whatever you may have read you really are decided to spend money in this product, try first to pay a little instead of the $130.00 bucks and a cheap 30 days guarantee.

I bought the TCP from the TV infomercial a little over a year ago for $130 plus shipping & handling. I'm too lazy to use the thing every day & ended up only using it a handful of times on 'special occasions', i.e. nite out on the town, sister's graduation, etc. Never been dropped or manhandled...for almost $150 bucks I was super careful with it! I went to use it last weekend &...nothing, zip, zero, nada. No power, no heat, no light. Checked it on mulitple outlets, pressed & released both the yellow & red buttons on the cord & still nothing. After reading the reviews here I see that this is a common problem. I can no longer find the TCP website despite my multiple google searches. After reading the nightmares here I don't expect to get a replacement much less a refund from the company, if I actually found them. I'm going to ask the mechanic at my work...who can pretty much fix antyhing...to look at it & see if he can fix it somehow. GRRRRRRR! Not worth the money!!!

I bought the TCP about 2 yrs ago, I too did not buy the warranty. Fortunately for me the 2nd time I plugged in the iron it made a loud pop and started smoking from the ceramic plates. I called the # and returned the iron, of course I had to pay the shipping. The rep told me I could keep the clips that pull my hair out, and the brush. The TCP was so hot on the handles that it melted my bathroom counter top, and I had the temp on a low-med setting! Well all I can say is that my $19.99 Vidal Sassoon flat iron has never failed and I've owned it for 7 yrs.

Hey guys... Who would have known there would be so many of us! So I bought this striaghtner, it was the best! I loved it. Then 3 months later when I would go to turn it on, no red light and no heat! I was pissed. Expecially after paying so much $$ I called customer service and they told me the same thing they told you all. That I did not buy the extended warrenty. So I asked for the young lady's supervisor. After holding for ten minutes a gentleman came on the phone and said he could do nothing, so I asked for his supervisor. He proceeded to tell me he did not have one! So I asked him if he owned the Co?! He said no, and so I asked him again, "let me speak to your supervisor." With hesitation, he put me through to her voicemail. I left an angry voicemail about reporting them to BBB, and this was 2 months ago.... Still have not had a return phone call! Do not buy this product! And for all you looking. The new customer service # is 1-800-901-5288.

I have a TCP and have not experienced the power problems or the chipping "yet". But the one complaint that I don't see on here is that the thing BURNS your fingers. They say that the outside of it stays cool, but that is completely false. It will burn you. Additionally, they give you a travel case that you are suppose to put it even when it is hot and it is suppose to protect things from getting burned. That doesn't work either. I put the iron in the case and set it on my bed and it burned right through the case and burned my comforter. I am very disappointed in this product, but won't be attempting to get a refund...that just sounds like it would lead to more frustration and no satisfaction. They should be completely ashamed that they blatantly lie on their commercials. I wish I had seen this site before I wasted my money.

I got the TCP for christias last year and i used every day, sometimes even more than once a day. And it seemed fine, worked fine, and i actually liked it. But, about a month ago i started to have problems with it. One day it just wouldnt turn on. I would flip the switch to on and the temperatire was set at what i usually have it at , but the red light wouldnt turn on and it wouldnt heat up. I figured out though, that if i pushed the on switch really far up and held it there that the light would turn on and it would heat up, but once i took my finger off the switch it wuld turn off again. I got really angry with it and stopped using it for about a week and went back to my old one. Then one day i tried it again and it worked. I was so happy because i liked the straightiner. But it happenbed again, about 2 weeks later. The same thing was happening. This time i decided i would stuff something in the little hole where the switch is, so when i switched it to on, i would put this little piece of paper in so it would hold the switch up. It worked for like a day. But now, it just straight up dosent work. No matter how hard i push the button in, or what way i rig the cord to go, nothing. This is a piece of junk. Dont buy it.

Ok. So here goes. I bought the product and it has been 7 months. The customer services number doesn't work and neither does the freakin' websites. The damn thing started giving off smoke and a weird gas just yesterday. Plus the ON/OFF switch doesn't move. I haven't done anything wrong to it!!! This thing is an effin' piece of shit!!!!!!! Nobody else should have to go through this. I say take the damn thing off market!

I ordered the TCP last September. It worked fine, I only used a few times. Then I noticed that it would act like it did not want to come on. Then it started to have this burning smell. So I stopped using it. Since, I did not order the warranty, I can not get a refund or a new one. This product is definitely a rip off and is not worth the money. However, I am reporting them to the BBB.
