With my wife over my shoulder telling me not to give them our bank account numbers I ordered Learn E-bay from the Video Professor! It started with getting an e-mail telling me I had won a computer of my choice of three differant brands. After saying no to about a hundred things they wanted me to buy they finally told me if I didn't purchase at least one Item I wouldn't have a chance of getting my computer after all I had waisted a lot of time! I decided on the Learn ebay cd by Video Professor. I sent 6.95 and after that the entire e-mail went back to the first page! I knew i had been jerked around but figure 6.95 was a good lesson so I wrote it off. I got the cd a few days later and when I came home from golfing about ten days later my wife was really upset and told me that Video Professor guy had taken an additional 76 bucks out of our account! I was really upset and got on the phone with them. They told me their was additional lessons inside the package I had got and if I didn't want to buy them I should of returned them with in 10 days! I told her I hadn't even opened the dang thing so how was I to know that was the deal?? I sent all of it back with the learn e-bay cd too because the only reason i bought the stupid thing was I thought I had a chance to win a computer! How stupid I was and how big of a bunch of theives are these guys! They told me they would look into my files and if everything was true I was telling them I'd have my money returned with in 10 days. So far its been a month and nothing. Can you advise me how to get back at these crooks? I'd sure like to know. I've alerted the state attorney here in ca and also in Denver where he live or has an office. I did get a call from the state attorneys office in Colorado and they took my complaint over the phone but thats been two weeks ago. They said they would get back with me. Later, Roy

This company and all of those who work there will undoubtably burn in Hell when this life is over. Especially "Curly" or should I say Mr. John Sherer. A most vain man to be certain. They thrive and depend upon the fact that most people will just give up on getting a few dollars back after a few attempts. One day they will make a major mistake and be scrutinized by the Federal Gov't. and their trickery and greed will put them all in bars. I smell that day in the air already. Mr. Sherer is evil and needs to be stopped. Doesn't the rich bastard have enough money yet? There is the vanity for lack of a more colourful word. Too many fine and trusting souls are harmed by their calculated actions. I have to turn the TV channel now anytime I see Mr. Egghead bragging about his "FREE" product. Notice the next time you see his infomercial, you will see a 6 point font at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds stating "SOME RESTRICTIONS MAY APPLY" when he announces the absolutely FREE product. The Feds should really look into that bogus statement. Excuse me, I have to vomit now. Oh! PS: I lost $69 plus change to these creatures because I mailed it back in 8 days but they said they received it in 12. They do not go by the postmark but the actual receipt of their crappy product.

SCAM SCAM SCAM! Et caveat emptor! My story is a synopsis of the aforementioned complaints. Video Professor takes your credit card number and makes excessive, unwanted charges to it. There is no one who will give you an honest or direct answer. They do not have an ethical bone in their organizational body. Shame on them and pity on the poor souls who get sucked into their convoluted abyss.

i was trying to set up an account with vonage phone company,I was directed to another operater to recieve a free cd or dvd i assumed it was avonage related product.Incredibly I was now talking to video professor rep i was still under the impression this was a vonage related product and i needed it for my service after all it was free.now the vonage rep comes back on the line and says he cant help me with phone service.I asked about the dvd and they acted as if they did not know what i was talking about and asured me i would not be charged anything. Now the nightmare begins, after being told there would no charge or dvd i recieved the video professor cds in the mail.i did not call at that time because i assumed i had already cancelled this delivery.a second cd set arrived and i knew i was being ganked.I was declined on several credit card purchases so i looked up my account and found alot of money going to some company in colorado!once i found out it was video professor i sent them an email telling them to immediately stop charging my card.not only did they ignore my request they charged me another 75 dollars today and i was declined again because of these crooks.this comany specializes in shady practices, when they charge your card it could be 4 dollars or 70 depending on you balance otherwise they are always charging you account unti they get what they want.they have the ability to somehow be first in line to get your money before anyone else can it is almost as if your account is being charged 24 hours a day until they get the payment.i have an debit card if i add money to the account video proffesor has stolen it before i can get home from the bank!the only way to stop these monsters is to throw away my debit card!these people are scum bags they give all online businesses a bad name if people do not want your product do not force them to buy it.i have been financially raped by this so called company and i am livid ,but they will get away with because they know how to.

I got one order and they keep charging and taking $6.95 out of my account. I am going to my bank and complain to them because they were informed I wanted no money taken by video professor. They were emailed 3 times, my compaint is being ignored and apearantly they are going to go right on stealing my money. I hate to have change my account, but I refuse to keep being stolen from.

Video Professor is a scam operation, utilizing disgraceful business practices and getting rich by stealing from people by misleading and deceptive tactics. PROTECT YOUR SELP, IF YOU DO GET INVOLVED WITH VIDEO PROFESSOR, CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THEY CHARGE YOU ACCOUNT WITH CHARGES FOR MERCAHANDISE YOU DIDN'T WAN'T.<br />
I have kept records of names, ids, and times of all calls. On Thursday evening June 7, 2007 about 10:00 I called Video professor to order my free lesson, with the understanding that there was a $6.95 shipping and handling fee. I sensed the first red flag when the person who answered was overly friendly and casual, trying to engage me in small talk while taking the order. She stated that the lesson would be sent and I would be charged the $6.95 S& H fee and she pointed out that it was a $69.00 value. She said that she needed some information. I gave her my shipping information, credit card information and my email address. After she secured all this information, she told me that I would receive three lessons and I had 10 days to review, and if I wasn't interested I could send it back and I wouldn't be charged. Otherwise my credit card would be charged the $69.00 and that every month I would receive a new lesson and it would be charged to my account. She stated that I was under no obligation. But the responsibility was on me to cancel. I told her I was not interested. She then countered with "would you like the free lesson?" I asked questions to have her explain the details of the agreement. She did not explain to my satisfaction, so I told her I was not interested at all. She said I can't cancel your order at this point in the process. I was insistent, but she would not help me. I asked to talk with her supervisor. He was of no help and told me I would have to call the customer service number. He told me something to the affect "He was sorry and unfortunately he couldn't do anything". I called the customer service number and was told that the order would take twelve to 24 hours to filter through. She told me something to the affect that "she was sorry and unfortunately couldn't do anything. I asked to talk to the supervisor. He was of no help but told me something to the affect that "he was sorry but unfortunately he couldn't do anything. I told him that I don't want to hear I am sorry and I don't want to hear unfortunately. I want the ordered canceled. I didn't place the order and I didn't want it. He got smart and said how did we get the information. I hung up at this point. I got off the phone and googled "complaints against Video professor". There were hundreds of complaints on several sites. With stories that sounded like what I was experiencing and what I was expecting from this company. I called my credit card company and was told that the way to protect myself was to cancel my card, which I immediately did. In order to cover my basses when dealing with such a disreputable company, I called the next morning at 8:45, and was told it is not in system and it can take up to 24 hours to filter through. I was told to call in the afternoon. I called again at 3:45 pm was told it is not in system. I called again at 7:25 pm and was told it was not in the system and I was told it can take from 24 to 48 hrs. I said "let me get this right. I have been told by everyone that it can take up to 24hrs. And now that we are approaching 24 hrs., you are telling me it can take up to 48 hrs. Will I be told tomorrow that it can take up to 72 hrs?" He said it's always been 24 to 48 hrs. I called again on Saturday at 1:30 pm. I was told it is not showing up in system. The representative and every one I spoke to checked by name and zip code, and by phone number, and told me they couldn't find it. I was told by this one that my name could have been misspelled; my phone number could have been entered incorrectly. I said that would be quite a coincidence if both the name and the phone number were entered incorrectly. He said it happens. At this point I have made five calls to the company. I have talked to seven employees of Video Professor. I have not gotten any satisfaction. And with each phone call it has only confirmed how disreputable this company is. I have no knowledge of their product but if it is a great as they say it is on the infomercial then they wouldn't need to resort to such egregious business practices. I have dealt with many businesses on the net or over the phone purchasing everything from education material, clothing, books, and music to sports equipment. I have always been impressed by how reputable these companies were and I have maintained an ongoing relationship with these firms as a repeat customer. After this experience with Video professor, I will always do my research by goggling the name of the firm. It is unfortunate that companies like this can exist and that such a culture of deceit and lack of morality can go on for as long as it has. In this site the section with defenses. Only supports how disreputable this company is. All statements about their customer service and how these problems can be taken care of are inconsistent with my experience. And the employees of the company display a level of contempt for the customers that are inconceivable. In their own words; "so your just make yourself seem ignorant"; "so when you say they didnt mention anything about the review offer your lying"; 'Dont call us up and blame us because you didnt listen or read the terms."; "its the customers own fault there in the situation there in"; And this one is my favorite "i would just like to say most of the people that call in arnt bright" you would have to read the rest of his statement to fully appreciate his comments on the intelligence of anyone. He goes on to say "No offense." Why would anyone be offended? The very acusations they make about the customers they demonstrate so well. It would be wise for the management to tell the employees not to make public statements. One last thought, many years ago. I gave notice of termination to an employer, because of the firm's unethical, immoral and illegal business practices. I was told I could leave immediately and my reasons for leaving were met with denial. About six months later, they had law suits pending against them in about 38 states. To the employees of Video professor, You can do the right thing instead of making the owner(s) rich and ripping off the public by carrying on the firms immoral tactics, while telling yourself " I am just doing my job"

The telephone solicitation said I would receive a $50.00 Wal-Mart gift card if I ordered the $75.00 package. I ordered and received the eBay training CD set. I had just been diagnosed with Prostate cancer, so I laid the package aside until after I had my cancer surgery. After my surgery, I called the designated 800 number (800-346-9618) as instructed to claim my $50.00 card. They informed me that I had only 10 days after receipt of the disks to claim my $50.00 card. There was never anything said about a 10 day requirement when they took my order by telephone. They refuse to consider my request to honor the $50.00 offer ... or to offer any other consideration. I think they have used deceptive sales practices by not making a full disclosure or offer an alternate "Free" gift. As a settlement I would like to have something of equal value. Last, I wonder if Wal-Mart is aware of what Video Professor is doing in their name? Thanks, Jim

I now have a total of 6 lessons which I did not order and of course I was billed $79.95 plus shipping for each one. I spoke to someone at VP and supposedly, I will be receiving a refund plus shipping for 4 of the 6 lessons as long as I agree to the billing of the first 2. I'm also to keep all 6 videos which I do not want and was told to use them as birthday gifts or donate to my local library for a tax deduction.

I had a bad and good experience with VP. I did the online surveys and VP was one of the companies. I bought the 3 free CDs in Oct 06 and knew that I had to send 2 of them back. I called a week later and cancelled the subscription part which is $80 a month, I also informed the CR that I had not received the CDs. A month went by and still no CDs so I called again and the CR said they were on the way. I never received the CDs, but was never charged so I figured I wouldn't worry about it until in Feb 07 I was charged $80 so I called and in two weeks they refunded my money. The bottom line is that it is a shady practice for them to charge a customer 4 months later for a product they never received.

Well, I had my "experience" with this outfit last year. Like several other victims who posted here, I also supposedly ordered a "free" CD. I actually never finished the ordering process (never authorized the payment), but that didn't bother them. Well, no CD ever came, but the monthly charges to my credit card kept on coming. I eventually noticed the recurring charges and disputed them, but it took several months of routinely disputing the charges and many attempts to reach "video professor" to finally get them to stop charging me and eventually at least some money back. Whatever happended to laws governing fraud, mailfraud etc.?? If any attorney out there wants to make a bundle of money and a good name for him/herself go file a class-action lawsuit against this outfit, I'll be on board. If any such lawyer out there exists, I would strongly suggest to ask for triple (punitive) damages, as the offenses were absolutely willful and "video professor" obviously was aware of the potential and possibly actual illegality of their actions. Just look at how many complaints and horror stories this site alone has!
