I didn't even order this product, but apparently, someone was able to steal my debit card information and make purchases on this site. Who the hell would steal a credit card to buy this $hit? If you ask me, I think it is the video professor people to begin with trying to boost their sales. Why the hell would anyone buy from them? As I looked up on the web whether other people had this happen to me, I came across this site and looking though, it seems like this happens quite a bit more to just call it coincidence. Why aren't these people in jail yet?!!! I swear to God I will do everything in my power to bring this company down and send them to jail for massive fraud!!

Isee they have had a lot of complaints so i don't feel alone. Tkanks C.A. Weaver

Unfortunately I got caught up in an online survey scam and tried this product. I just got charged the shipping today and decided to do some research, fortunately I learned about their scamming and called to cancel right away, but according to what I've read here I still may not be in the clear. I will definitely be checking my account regularly. Also for those who are sending the product back after receiving it you MUST call them to obtain "permission" in the form of an RMA number to return the product otherwise they won't accept it and will keep charging. Look up video professor on wikipedia (I can't believe its even on wiki!) I'm glad I caught it early and I'm definitely not letting them swindle me out of hundreds of dollars! I'm sorry for anyone this has happened to. I'm just praying that they cancel smoothly, refund, and keep from charging me anything else! At least I think I've learned my lesson. Ugh what a SCAM! I can't believe they get away with it.

I ordered windows to learn about my computer, I return the the nextlesson the way they say to, call the service number write a return number on the return address and would be charged for it and I cancelled them. I keep getting the videos and sending them back. I still get charged every month for what I return. this is now three months, last month my bank statement has five charges from them for 1.00 to 79.95, they total for over 2 hundred dollars. How many times are they going to get away with it.

I responded to the Video Professor ad on TV. The sales agent I reached told me (after coolecting all my credit card data) that I would receive 3 discs instead of just one, and that i'd be required to return the other two if i didn't want them or be charged $79.95 after 10 days. This was totally uneacceptable. He then offered me many other products, i had to interrupt him to tell him i wasn't interested, he said he was required to tell me about the other offers to get my free CD lesson. I told him i wasn't interested in the free offer if i had to endure all this, he then told me the order had already been processed. i repeatedly called the customer service number the same day, and to their credit, they, after trying to offer me other items, managed to cancel my account before the product was shipped, but it took very carefully worded and calm but firm persistence to get them to even do that. i was really offended by the deceptive nature of the sales call center they used and reported this practice to my attorney general's office, the bbb in denver as well as the federal trade commission... VPI needs to give full disclosure BEFORE collecting data such as credit card numbers, etc.... and they need to stop being so deceptive with their offers. I never tried the product, they may be great, but know what you're getting into before you buy... If John would change his marketing strategy, and really give away a CD without making a customer listen to a bunch of other offers, he'd close the door fast on a lot of complaints and legal problems. my suggestion is to research carefully any product before purchasing, and when calling their customer service numbers, be firm and polite and document everything. Again, their product may be great, but i'll never try it because i don't respond well to the deceptive marketing practices... good luck all

The "free" Video Professor disk came with an ink order. I was charged and they kept coming, I have cancelled my account with them, but I am still being charged $80.00 a month, with no product, I have to call my credit card company every month to dispute the charge, can you imagine how many people dont check the detail on their credit cards statements and pay this company.!!!!

I think this company has been robbing many people. They offer only 6.95 and they lie to their costumers. I canceled my account and they had previously promised to give me my money back and they haven't done as they promised.

About 2 years ago I also requested the "free" CD from video professor. All I had to do was pay the "modest" shipping costs of $6.95. If I didnt' like it I could just send it back which I did immediately. The CD I received was how to use Microsoft Word - a program I was already well familiar with so when I called I explained that I was more interest in the CD for Excel only. "No problem" said the way to perky customer representative. I never received the requested CD that was "no problem" and would return them one after another. Then one day my mom discovered a 69.95 PLUS the $6.95 shiping charge on her credit card every month so she contacted the Video Professor people and they said it was for the CD's they were sending me every month. I hadn't received anything from them for nearly 6 months and they were charging us for them. We explained that we hadn't been receiving their product and the stupid cow asked if we were enjoying the CD's! I never received the CD I wanted - that's what happens when the customer service people act like squirrels on crack. Too damn happy for their own good. We never did receive a refund for all those months we were charged for nothing - their crappy policy was they "can't" reimburse the funds if the charges were already made. After explaining the problem with the credit card company they credited our account and went after the Video 'Geezer' Professor. I wound up buying a book for $20 from a local book store and learned more from it than any stupid CD.

Nice to know I'm not alone. Unfortunately for me, this scam has been billing me over $100 per month since June 2006. My fault for not filing a fraud complaint with my credit card sooner. Now, it's time to talk with an attorney and file a complaint with the BBB. These cheaters need to be stopped. First item on your agenda is file a dispute with your credit card and then cancel your card. More to follow.

The "free" Video Professor disk came with an ink order. It never said there would be a charge or more coming automatically. I have reported it to AMex, since there is no address for returns on the box. It has cost me over $400 and a lot of time to stop this problem. It has not been stopped yet, but hopefully AMEX will be of assistance.

I wound up getting their trial offer for an ebay program due to what turned out to be a scam survey. The survey seemed to be absurd but I felt adventurous. You are asked many marketing questions, which information I am sure is sold to other merchants. In the end you are supposed to receive a $250 gift certificate from some store. The only stipulation is that you must try one of many trial offers listed. So I tried this one. But you could not get out of the survey. It kept recycling in on itself to ask you to try more offers. Infuriated I ended it and wrote Video Professor not to send me anything. But the box arrived anyway. I am sending it back but they want to charge me the postage and shipping which the offer says they will not do since it is risk free. This is such an incredible scam. Even if I liked the program which was a waste, $79 for 3 CDs which really amount to one hour and not 3 as you might assume! that is criminal in itself.

I received the Video Professor Photoshop cd package Feb. 2007. When I tried to return it, still well within my 10-day free trial time period, I was told by a very rude customer service rep that I had already been charged the $79.95!! I disputed the charges verbally and demanded my money back. That's when I got bombarded with free offers and questions about why I didn't want the product anymore. The rep told me that I wouldn't get my money credited back until the end of March, which I felt was total bull since I knew they had charged me wrongfully in the first place. So I contacted the bbb and filed an electronic complaint, giving complete details and proving that I was in the right; I even quoted the Video Professor manual regarding their return policy. Within 4 days I was credited back the full amount I was charged, after being told it would take 3-4 weeks. If you have a problem with Video Professor I strongly suggest you go right to the bbb and file a complaint immediately, because I'm dead positive that if I had continued to wait until the end of March for my money, I'd be in the same situation as the other scammed customers, waiting and waiting. You have to get tough with them, don't be afraid to hurt anyone's feelings, especially when they snatched your money. Give lots of proof to back up your accusations, and even throw in some quotes from the VP manual if you feel that'll help your case. The stronger it is the faster you get your money back. I agree this company is a scam, but sadly I feel I am among the few lucky ones to actually get my money back.

I received a box of Learn Windows CD's from Video Professor without requesting them. The box looked like the trial offers I used to receive from AOL, Earthlink, etc. I did not open the box. I then received two days later a statement from my credit card company that there were questionable charges on my credit card that I needed to verify. When I called them I found out that Video Professor charged my credit card for shipping and handling. I told the Customer Rep from CITI Bank that I did not order anything from Video Professor. They said they would cancel my credit card number and reissue a new one. I immediately contacted Video Professor and I left a message. I was contacted a day later and talked with a customer rep. When I started asking questions on who, when, and how the order was placed, the CSR asked for my phone number when I told her my area code she said "It isn't 508?" I said no, and she then said she could not help me because I could not verify my account. I then asked how someone could use my credit card but I couldn't inquire about my account. I got the standard answers and only got to talk with a supervisor when I stated that I would contact the Kansas Attorney Generals office. The supervisor wouldn't tell me anything except someone order the CD's at 1:24 am on Feb 19th.She also stated that they only way they process a card is with a VIN number. Folks, my credit card has not been out of my possession, ever! I don't even use it at restaurants. She immediately stated that she would credit my account and I received a credit card stating that. To date there is no credit of my account. Thank God for my credit card company and their early warning system. I don't feel this situation is totally resolved, but I thought I should warn others to check their credit card statements, if your credit card company does not offer this free protection.

I, like everyone else, ordered this and was completely duped. By the time that I realized I had been charged it had been one month. Ironically, by the time I realized the charge I had just received the second in a series of scam-riddled cds; and, as we all know, the next step is to start a flurry of unanswered phone calls and "waiting for an operator calls" that lasted for days. I think that it is in everyone's best interest if we all get a hold of our local "crime/scam stoppin'" reporters and get them involved to the point where mass media hits these jackasses in the pocket. I would have to think that if one of the major network programs such as 20/20, Dateline, etc. were to pick up on this story and the many other informercial scams like it, we could eventually put these thiefs out of business. That, or a class action suit....anyone?

I used to work for this company. They do sort of try and inform people what they are getting into, just enough to save their own a$$es. They are basically a scam, and if you are talking to their representatives, their policy basically states that they can give you refunds from 1 year ago or less. Which means when they tell you they cant do anything to help you, don't fall for it. Don't fall for them trying to offer you free products. If you are going to use their products (and they are good products, bad salesmanship) use their online offer. It is the only worth the value. These guys are pretty scummy though, so beware. However, the scumbags do give you the terms of the deal, you just need to listen to realize you are being scammed.

Good luck...I have been fighting this company since September 2004!!! Once I received my first "free" CD, I was not satisfied and returned it. Since then, I had received at least fifteen CD's that I returned, however my credit card was still charged for each and every one of them. When I contacted my credit card company, I was told that they never received a credit from Video Professor. My only recourse now seems to be to hire a lawyer.
