I know I received something from that was supposed to be free. The problem is I have just noticed that they are debitting my card for little amounts, 2 dollars here 3 dollars here and then I noticed a recent 69 dollar charge. I know I have not gotten something recently. The only reason I even requested them to send something to me was due to a scam on another website saying I only needed to try a product from two vendors and I would get a free tv. I am now paying for something that I am not getting.

I paid for $1 fee for access to online lessons. A month and a half ago. Haven't been able to use it yet. Also a charge came up on my credit card for 10.95 and I have not received any cd anything. I think something needs to be done to the owmer of this company. I work hard for my money and don't have any to give away for nothing in return.

My story is much like the rest you have read here....after contacting them twice and not receiving any satisfaction, what do I do now? Do I call my credit card company? I also received merchandise I did not order...sent back....and contacted them by e-mail....I did receive an e-mail...that everything was taken care of and I would receive reimbursment...which did not happen...they charged me the next month for a product I never received...I figure they ow me $154.45...June

I requested a free trial from Video Professor on Jan 21, 2007. I was supposed to have 10 days to try the product and return without being charged anything except shipping. I was charged a total of 6.95 for shipping over the next couple of days. That was fine. But I never received the cd. So I called Feb 10 only to be told that I could not be found anywhere in the system. I thought that was actually great, then I won't have any further charges. Wrong. I was charged 69.95 on Feb 12. I disputed it with my bank but the charge reappeared. I called Video Professor again, and this time, they suddenly found me in the system. They said that since I agreed to the terms on the website, I was required to pay the 69.95 even though I had never received the product. On Feb 20 I received a charge for 5.95 on my account from Video Professor and when I called, they informed me that they had sent out a second shipment. I never even recieved my 1st shipment! So they said they would also send out the 1st shipment and I told them I just wanted my money back but they kept talking about terms of an agreement etc. and so now I am waiting for 2 shipments only one of which they informed me I could return for a refund.

I ordered Video Professor Excel Advanced to try it. I was told I wouldn't be charged ANYTHING since the representative told me she would waive the shipping for me. I received the product, decided that I didn't want to try it, and returned it unopened to Video Professor. I called them up about two weeks later when a debit of $79.95 magically appeared on my bank statement and was taken using the debit card I used for the initial sign up process. I asked for a refund at that time which was January 15-2007. I was told it would be 10-15 business days to receive a refund. I thought that was excessive, I still do, but decided to wait for my funds. Unfortunately, I called after the 15 days and was told that there were delays and that she "couldn't do anything more until it was 30 days from date of purchase" at which time I informed her that I never purchased anything and that it was debited without my authorization. She said was nothing more she could do. I waited until today 02-20-07 which is now over a month since my money was debited. I talked to Anna operator #5671 who said needed to escalate this to have it processed for refund. I asked for her supervisor who was basically another rep. I talked to Rachel #8648 and was told that the funds would be in my account in 3-5 business days. She very politely stated there was "nothing more she could do". When I asked for HER supervisor she said she wasn't available. I asked for the supervisors name and number. I was told that there is no number for her supervisor and that her name is Stephanie. I repeatedly asked for a way to contact Stephanie or someone higher than herself. She kept repeating herself, "is there anything ELSE I can do for you?" I finally told her she didn't do a whole lot this time, and that I will wait longer for MY money to come back to me. I feel that my money has been stolen from me. I know that when a company of this size has money for any amount of time whether it be a day or longer that they can invest it and earn money off of it for the time they have it. I feel that is possibly what VIDEO PROFESSOR is doing. It is illegal and they should be held accountable for their unethical actions.

Yes i ordered one & it was for$6.95 for shipping. Before i got to see how the first one worked, I got 2 & 3 at a time,I thought wow, but they were all 3 alike. So i called them, They laughted and said oh! you did. so i told her to make sure not to send anymore. she said ok.Then they just kept comming, so i call them again, they said they would cancel me again, They still kept sending them. so when i put one in. it said before you start, we need your credit card #. it would cost so much a month to use it. so i closed it out took it out, and never tryed any others. i looked at my credit card, the Proffecor charged my account big money , some of them cost me 79.99 several times a month, so i finally called my card co. this was after 4 or 5 mo. He found a way to charge 2 of my cards. so the card co. is trying to help me get this last charge taken off.

What a joke. I call to get my free Exell CD. All of this is recorded on their end.All I have to do is pay $5.95 for shipping. I give my credit card number. Heres where this all goes south. She explains to me its my lucky day, that they were going send 2 extra CD's to try for 10 days. If I don't like them send them back or they would charge me $79.95 per CD.I tell to only send the free CD or don't send any at all.She says she doesn't understand. Then I tell DO NOT SEND ANYTHING. I get three CD"s two days later. I call their complaint/"support" to tell them I want to know how I send back the CD's I didn't want in the first place. I get sent to a site to submit my concern. NO RESPONSE TO THIS DAY YET. As I am waiting a reply my 10 days are up. Now my wife gets involved and sends them back 15 days later without telling - while I wait for their response. Now I'm out $150 and don't even have the CD's. This is outrageous Dave

Wish I had seen this before I got sucked into getting a "free" cd from a survey, all I had to do was pay $6.95 for shipping. I haven't even opened the first one yet when another arrived in the mail the other day. I didn't order anything so I immediately got a bad feeling about Video Professor. I opened the second one to see what the deal was. When I opened it and read the little (I mean really little) brochure inside I was shocked and immediately called the phone number listed. They told me that I was signed up for it and they already charged my credit card for the first one as well for $79.95! I was furious. What a scam is right. I told the women that answered the phone that I did not order any of them and the first one was presented to me as "free". She told me I needed to read the fine print and that when I checked the "I accept" button on the survey, that I agreed to pay the $79.95 plus the $6.95 I already paid for shipping. I am appauled that this kind of fraud and deceptive practices is allowed to go on. She then offered to send me a free digital camera. Yeah, right. I don't want a Camera and I don't want your Video's I want my money back for all. I'm calling my bank tomorrow and the BBB and my local State Representative. Video Professor better get their lawyers lined up. I'm not done with this or scam artists like Video Professor.

I got tangled up with Video Professor through the tech folks at Peoplepc when I tried to get my e-mail hooked up. I changed from a different server as Peoplepc was AARP recommended. This was my first mistake. When I had trouble getting connected, I called the techs, who were not very helpful or easy to understand. One told me they would send me a "free" CD to help me with my computer skills. Since Peoplepc already had my credit card number, when the tech person said, "let us verify the last four digits of your credit card number, I gave it to her. Not only did one CD arrive, but three. I had to return it in 10 days if I didn't want it, but had to get a "return authorization number." I have phoned repeatedly, sent FAXes, and e-mails to the automated numbers on their answering machines, but no one calls or answers back. I have no idea when the "10 days" is up, and the fine print says that sending stuff back with out the authorization number will not count. I have tried to get charges blocked from my credit card with Bank of American, but they won't do that. Now that I find out how badly others have been scammed with this tricky company, I am closing my credit card account. Bank of America tells me that I will be billed anyhow as long as charges occur on an accout I once had!! Please tell others, especially seniors, that this is absolutely a dangerous company to do business with. I expect to complain loudly to AARP for having anything to do with either Peoplepc or Video Professor.

I did order one Video, now every few weeks another one shows up with the amounts showing up on my account. do I now have to change my checking account. going to video professor site I notice there is not a email address to report there miss givings, but a disclaimer telling you they are not responsible. Way to stand behind your product!!!

Charges for over $150 appeared on my credit card for video professor products I never ordered! When I contacted them, I was told I answered an online survey that placed the orders. I had not done any such thing. They said they would close the account and I refused any products from them that came in the mail. My credit card company allowed me to dispute the charges, but I am very upset that video professor can get your name, address and credit card information without you ever being aware!

I found this page just now, by accident, and I'm so glad that I am not the only person who is angry about what Video Professor does. I bought videos, a couple, in fact, and ended up paying more because they send videos that AREN'T free but need to be paid for. I called them on the phone to complain, and the female on the other end was very haughty and rude. I ended up just paying the bill and making a note to NEVER EVER buy from them again and to tell my family not to buy from them. I was so angry, I even threw away their videos. I didn't want that energy around my house. Do NOT buy from Video Professor.

I am complaining about receiving and being charge on my credit card for discs that I did not order. I ordered Norton Anti Virus on line but not from this company. I have not requested any disc from video professor. I now have 3 charges on my card without authorization by this company.

I asked for a free video for the price and continue to receive these useless packages at a price of around $78.00. I mailed one back in the general mail and have now discovered therre is a special number and and return process one must use. I got nowhere with the customer service number. I have now e-mailed customer service and will continue to call them. FW

I worked for a bank and got calls all the time about sudden charges appearing on customers' cards for 79 dollars and change, and when I reported these to Investigations turned out they were the Video Professor. Many customers got more shipments after the free one and sent them back, but still got charged. It sounds like when you call and order the freebie and pay S&H, you get enrolled into something like a club where you get some new disc every month or so, like you joined a rocord club. None of these customers to my knowledge were told about this, and a lot of times the sudden charge would come against other transactions and create a whole slew of bank fees.

Have ordered & received the Video Prof. CD in Sept. 2006. I THEN began receiving other CD's that I DIDN'T order. When I spoke with Customer Svc. they said that if you order on line - you are AUTOMATICALLY entered into their system - to receive additional CD's (whether you want them or not). I was charged the $5.95+ $1.00 (no idea why the 2 separate charges) for the 1st - then $79.95 for the 2nd CD. I returned the CD, as requested; that same day. The next day I received a DUPLICATE of the 2nd CD. Went thru the process AGAIN- checked and indeed the credit card was charged AGAIN. Requested a credit. A month later - the credits showed up. However, in the meantime - I received ANOTHER CD - a duplicate of the FIRST one that I had ordered. Went thru the process again. Returned the CD the same day as received. As of Dec. 20th -I found ANOTHER $79.95 charge - for the original CD that I had not ordered and had returned. Called AGAIN - they said it was recharged because it was received late as a return. I told them I sent it back the same day - should have taken MAX a week to get there. Also told them that if their Shipping & Receiving Dept. is having problems PROCESSING all these returns - that's not my problem. Customer Svc. had me 'hold' while he sent an e-mail to request the credit to be expedited. 9 days later - the credit is STILL NOT on my credit card. This is indeed a scam...yet the commercials continue to be blasted on tv. The latest? eBay! Every dolt knows that eBay is sinking - and no one buys anything on it anymore. eBay is using every avenue they can - including Video Professor - to lure people back. DON'T ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE! Finally - the lesson itself - is for the incredibly stupid! BUYER BEWARE.

On December 16 2006 I received a charge to my credit card for 89.95, I immediately called VID Professor to give me a refund since this was a unauthorized charge. I was told by the representative that I should receive a refund within 15 business days. I called abck on January 3 2007 and was told my refund was indeed approved and because of inclement weather it was taking longer to give my refund but I should receive it within 5 business days since they were expediting it. I called again on January 11th and 12th and spoke with a supervisor in Accounting and I recorded both conversations. On the 11th I was told I would receive my refund in 24 hours and on the 12th when I called and spoke with Stephanie, I was told It would take 72 hours. No REFUND YET! I called this morning and spoke with Stacey, accounting manager and recorded the conversation and advised her of same, she told me I had to wait an additionall 5-10 business days. I told her it was unacceptable and they BETTER refund my credit card by the end of business day TODAY! I told her I would call back at 5:30 Eastern standard time to assure I received my refund. I also advised her that I worked in Retail for years and they can indeed refund a credit card in a matter of minutes so she was feeding me a bunch of bull crap. I then called back to speak to her supervisor Stephanie, Stacey's superviosr and she told me the same bullcrap 5-10 business days. I again told her I was recording our conversation and I demand a refund by the end of business day. I am sending my complaint to BBB and to my credit card company. I am also going to send the recorded conversations for all the promised refunds they claim I would get in X amt of time and have yet to receive. I advise everyone to do the same. CALL TODAY AND DEMAND YOUR REFUNDS.

I ordered the video professor excell programs because It seemed like a good product and It looked very easy to learn various computer software programs. I got the product I ordered and got charged for it which was fine, but then I started getting charged for other software that they kept sending me. I would later see on my credit card statement that these charges kept coming in on a monthly basis. I contacted the company via email and told them how unhappy I was and told them to stop sending me any future CD's because all I wanted was the one I ordered and nothing else. They replied saying that they would not send me any more of those and even gave me some type of ref# in case I had any problems. Next month comes and I am still receiving the unrequested CD's and got charged once again the $79.95 I proceeded to send them a lengthy email and threatening to take legal action against them if they would keep sending and charging me for stuff that I did not want. They CD's after that stopped coming and I was no longer getting charged but I would not recommend buying anything from Video Professor unless you want to go through the Hassle that I went through.
