I can't believe there aren't more complaints. I was just on the phone with a friend of mine telling how infomercials are designed to be played late at night where people are tired and your critical factor of the concious mind is easily bypassed with embedded commands. Never knew about this site, but I wasn't aware that all infomercials are scams up until somewhat recently. Found this site a few minutes ago while talking on the phone convincing him, 'Don't do it!' I, also was had by the video professor. I just wanted the free CD -- ordered it while intoxicated because free shit sounded like a good idea to me! From my recollection, they hit me for about ~$300. bastards.

I work for a call center (not naming) Video Professor is a rip off!! What's bad...the caller can cancel / hang, up and we (call center agents) can't cancel we have to put to order through and the caller has to call customer service to cancel, good luck! It's a shame we take calls for ripoffs like this. There are actually good business's out there we take calls for. Spread the word folks!

Video Professor is a pathetic outfit. My experience with them is quite typical of what many others have described. I placed an order on February 13, 2008. I subsequently called them on February 29, March 11, and March 17. The order never arrived, even though their customer service people claimed they had shipped it to me three separate times. (Did they really expect me to believe that?) I finally cancelled the order.

We ordered an online course back in October. The problem we ran into was, when we went to cancel in January they did not canel the service and continued to bill us until March. When we called then they refused to issue a refund claiming they had no record of us cancelling their online service. When I spoke to Jeff a Supervisor online he wanted me to give an exact date I made my call. Because I could not give an exact date he said we were not entitled to any refund. If anybody knows of a way to get us a refund we would appreciate it. They should close their service if they do not have a cancellation button on their website. That is too much like right. Bunch of thieves they are.

A few months ago I ordered one software program, to date I have received and been billed for three. I called the 800 number this morning to ask for a credit and to be removed from their list. While explaining that I only asked for one program--not three--the representative tried to sell me two additional items! Talk about clueless.

I have tried to call VP on several occasions as I keep getting billed for courses that do not appear to be of any value to me but have been unsuccessful in getting through to anyone. The recorded message I get always states that their customer service reps are busy and for callers with touch tone to push such and such number which I presume records the number of your phone at the other end and someone is supposed to call you back. I've done this several times but with no results. I'm angry and disappointed with this outfit. Wish I never got involved to begin with. I intend to send back most of the courses I received, including the latest one. If I don't get my money back I am consulting a lawyer.

I ordered one video and now they keep sending additional videos and charging my credit card with huge amounts unauthorized! I was only interested in the e-bay video not all the others.

Video Professor has the worst Customer Service ever. Ordered learn Excel CD, was sold CompuCard. Those arrived 5 days later but no CD. Cust Service phone too busy, message states to call later or send email. Bottom line it took 7 weeks for CD to arrive, their Customer Service line is constantly busy, I sent emails and never, never got a response. Turns out (which I didnt know) you had to have the program on your computer for the tutorial to work. RIP OFF

I ordered one Video Professor for Adobe Photoshop, I thought it was the only one I'd be getting seeing as how, I only ordered one. I eventually got the Video Professor. No problems. Then a few months later, I kept on getting them. I was getting all different kinds. I knew I was going to get charged for these, so I called them & complained. They said they wouldn't charge me, and it was a 'processing error'. But about a month later, I got a nice bill from them for $232.74 that had already been taken from me. There was nothing I could do. My money had already been withdrawn. I would not recommend this to ANYONE.

I ordered 2 VIDEOs from the Video PROFESSOR, for $6.96 on the internet about 6 weeks ago, but returned it. I had about computer classes in college and I thought that he had an updated version. When I saw the crap that he offered, I mailed the 2 videos back and told him I have the same thing on Microsoft. Instead of crediting my account they debited my account three times @ $ 89.95 x 3. Now my checks are bouncing. I had to close the account. I want all the victims to have a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT, for the millions of victims that he robbed . Lets get this on CNN NEWS.

IF you return an unwanted or unsolicited cd be sure to keep all records. Send it back with return receipt requested. This crooked company will dismiaa your request, say they never got it or just plain ignore your correspondence. I would urge all to get what they need elsewhere. This is much worse than book of the month club. I'm sure their customer service people work on commission.

I called and ordered the Ebay Tutorial from Video Professor. During the call I told the rep that I changed my mind and said I wished to cancel the order. She said, "Thank you very much for your order" and hung up. Today my VISA account was charged. I called the 800# today and was assured that this was not permitted and that I should get a refund. Given what you all are experiencing I'm anxiously awaiting the refund. Frankly, I'm a little frightened. The same type of TV scam has been going on with the SMC Catalog Sales infomercials.<br />

What a bunch of crap!!! I saw the free lesson deal on TV then ordered online and was appauled to receive a box that said "your 10-day review starts today". They are counting on people just going online and not reading any of the fine print where they tell you that they are going to slap you with a $90 charge. I called their customer service (a.k.a. trained group of thieves) and was told that somewhere on the commercial it says "Some restrictions apply". The thief that I spoke with tried to sell me 3 lessons for the price of one. I told him to take his product and shove it. Be careful though, if you do not get a return authorization they will continue to send the product back to you until they charge you the $90. This should be illegal.

I went for the one free lessons. Just as it arrived over 70.00 dollars left my bank account. I called and reminded them that it was to be free according to the commercial. I said it was on the way back to them unopened since they were not living up to the offer. She tried to sell me other lessons and never addressed the real issue that they took far more than the shipping and handling from my account.

I did not even sign up for the video professor cds. My husband went to college for computers. He can even rebuild them! We had no need for this product and when they started showing up,I just thought it was some kind of promotional thing. Come to find out they were charging my account $3.95 and $89.95 for every cd that came every month. They told me that we sign up for with an on-line game we purchased. She said it was in the "small print"! They said they would credit all the money back...has never happened and now its too late to file a dispute with my bank! Just wanted to warn others to check their statements for this fraud! Also was wanting to know if others have had this problem...can anyone say Class Action Lawsuit!!!!!

going to to try it for free and gave a credit card number. then they revealed there terms and conditions, they are very deceitful and do not tell the truth. i reported the same in full story to the attorney general of the state of oregon. they are not telling the truth. i also told the person on the phone that I did not want the transaction to take place and he is tried to tell me that I do have a choice. he also mentioned that I was yelling at him and All i had done was raise my voice. they do reveal there way of doing buisness prior to them getting your credit info, a very bad buiness model. someone needs to stop this person(s)from getting away with this, it is wrong!!!!

I got sucked into the Video Professor vortex of lies several years ago. When some doofus tells me that I can try his product "absolutely free" except for shipping, without specifically mentioning that this offer is for a trial period, I got a problem with that. In my word "absolutely free" would even include shipping, but at least that was disclosed. Stay away from Video Professor.

I agreed to the free trail of Video professor and the charge for shipping. That is all agreed to purchase from the company and the company keeps charging and sending their videos. The Videos did not impress me as being that great or easy to follow. I made contact about charging my credit card and refuse to stop sending videos I did not request or ask to be sent to me. They force you to buy the videos, by refuse to accept your first response of NO I do not want any other offers sent to my home!
