Video Professor has taught me never to order anything over the phone. They jack up the charges, as VP did, keep repeating them on your credit card and even try to bill you under different names and blame you that you must have given some other company your credit card number. I caught them on that one and told them I was reporting them for fraud to my credit card company. I did, the card company started the fraud investigation and took all the charges off my card except for the one cd I actually did order. I nearly puke every time I see the owner advertising his scam on TV.

I am just like the others here. I took an online survey and was asked to choose my free gift. Just pay the shipping. It turns out that I recieved a cd and was billed 2 days later for 89.95, no trial period and I did not order that cd. then, next month, same thing. recived cd on the 16th but was billed on the 6th. I cant get a hold of anybody so I cancel my card and dispute charges. This company is the epitome of whats wrong with the country. ripping off middle income americans with no intervention from any government agency.

I agree with Serena. They never mentioned the $90 that they would charge to the credit card for more lessons. I am in the process of trying to send back the lessons for a full refund. But I am almost positive that I can kiss that money good-bye. At least they OFFER a refund. I ordered this "FREE" Ivory tooth whitening thing online and they sent me a free one. Well they also included the "90 day trial" as well. No big deal right? Until my credit card was charged an additional $75 nearly a month later. When I called they said I had gotten the 90-trail to try for 10 days. So I asked if I could return it and they told me they could not offer me a refund because it was past the 10 days. But I never asked for that 90-day trial in the first place!! Only the free trial.

They didn't tell me when i ordered that the lessons really cost $95 or i never would have ordered. That is not all either. When you open the inside of the booklet it says that they will keep sending lessons for $89.95 each. He says that "I am so confident.. that you will learn with my product.. if you are not satisfied simply return the cds and i will refund your shipping plus $10." He also says that WE will keep coming back to them NOT that they will keep on sending their junk to us for the same $90 each month. And did I mention, I have found the same HTML lessons online for FREE!!! That is a sucker scam and I hope that no one else will get into that mess

I signed up for a cd. for the 6.95 shipping. After giving all my info the screen pops up and says this cannot be processed at this time, so i did not think it went through. I was on my bank site and seen that they took there 6.95. So i called them and to my surprise there is no record of my order or my account number. Ihope after reading everyone else's that my bank can stop them from taking any more of my money. I wish i had this site earlier. good luck to everyone who is getting scammed.

I like thousands of others request the free kit knowing shipping was not included. I provided my card for the postage and was NEVER informed of any other charge besides postage. I recorded the call like I do all others using [].. Next I received my package opened it and saw the bill for 70 dollars. After calling the 800 number on the collateral, and was on hold for 48 minutes, I hung up after my cell phone battery had died. I live in Colorado so I decided to drive to the office to take care of this. The old, dungeon like building VideoProfessor is in, smells of hell and the shiny haired sales representatives are abound. As soon as the receptionist noticed my package she very quickly escorted me outside and called security stating that I needed to following the simple instructions on the box. After playing the recording for my credit card company I was issued a refund. Thanks []. VP burn in hell.

I got a letter in the mail today from Video Professor billing department saying that my order placed on 11 July 2007 had been returned to them and that my account has been placed on hold temporarily, but that I MUST call them at 1-800-428-2714 to make sure that I am "taken care of". The letter was sent to an address that I hadn't lived at for almost a year, but they were saying I had placed an order using that address less than a month ago. They had always seemed reputable but I have never had any dealings with them, and this letter wreaked of scam, which is how I wound up here. I'm going to play along and send them a letter with my current address, including hard-to-read fine print saying that anything sent to me unsolicited will be considered a gift and will not be returned. Under no circumstances are they going to get any credit card information from me.

I responded to VideoProfessors ad about an EBay lesson video that was basically free , paying postage etc. When I called to order i was taken back when I was told that with it would come with a product I did not want so I told the lady to cancel my order immediately and that, I did not want anything. She told me that she could not cancel it and that I would have to send it back by calling the next day an address that I lost. When it came , I did not open it but sent it back to the return address on the package. I only received a refund on the postage and packing portion and never got back my $60.00 charge for the program I said i did not want. The package had all the info needed to correct the deal for me. I later saw very mall print on the ad that could not be read easilly or quickly if you were copying the info needed. They have not returned my money.

I completed an online survey and was asked to pick a "free" gift. I picked a Video Professor cd. I had expected to be charged for shipping and handling and I was. Very soon therafter, to my surprise, my credit card was charged $96.00. When I received the package, I sent it back unopened. That was four to five weeks ago. I wrote the company asking when my refund could be expected and have not received a response. I think this was irresponsible and misleading.

I responded to a survey where I ordered one CD. They sent me three CDs instead a d instructed me to return one CD if I didn't wand to be charged $80.+ automaticlly on my credit. They didn't include a return address and I only have ten days to get the CD back.

Briefly, I ordered a "free" Copy of video Professor for Quick Books to see if it was worth the time. The deal as I understood it was pay S&H $6.89 for the trial CD.It turned out to be not that helpful, I did not understand I was expected to return it. The next thing I knew I had an $ 89.00 charge and s&h charge of $6.89. After that another CD arrived that I had not ordered. I immediately sent it back but was charged another $89.oo plus a couple of s/&h charges. Whenn the third $89.00 charhe hit my AMEX I had had enough an called AMEX for help in stopping the charges. It is very possible I missed the terms and conditions, I don' think so but it is possible. But I certainly have not misunderstood the part about sending the unwanted product back and still being charged. This most definately is a scam.

I ordered a program on line from Video Professor for 4.95 shipping and handling for FrontPage - I did notsee anywhere on the advertisement that this was just for a trial of 10 days and then must be returned. Shortly thereafter I received another program which I returned immediately. When I received the charge card bill, there was a charge for $6.95 plus 89.95 for Frontpage plus another $4.95 for shipping for the tape returned! This is a defiite SCAM because there is nothing that says this is a 10 day trial!

They keep debiting my credit card every month, I thought I would only pay for the purchase agreed upon, but I*m surprise to see charges comming on monthy. How can I stop them.

7/25/2007 - Ingrid writes:
they advertised on TV for free first cd lesson, only pay shipping and handling. They can do this because they know we will be so satisfied we'll buy more CD lessons. Bull. They charged me 89.95 for this so called freebie that my son bought for his father.

Ordered for the "free" cds on Quickbooks. I saw a charge of $6.95 to my account. Soon after, there was another charge of $89 because I had not supposedly sent back the cds. A couple of days after this, there was another S&H handling charge and I knew it would soon be followed by an $89 charge for something I had never ordered for. Incredible! Why does the company not state clearly enough that "free" is actually free trials for their products? Why are they more interested in ripping off unsuspecting customers than providing an honest and genuine service for which a huge market exists? And how come no federal institution has not stepped in to arrest this unfortunate scam?

Ordered this product twice - it never arrived. My impression is that this is one of the great ripoffs/scams on the Internet and television.

I signed up for one video at $6.95 (S/H) on the internet. There was a box checked asking if I agreed to receiving more videos to be charged to same card number in the future. I unchecked the box and "assumed" I would only receive the one. By the time I received the cd I had become ill and mail was not gone thru for almost a month. Of course the 10 day trial was up, which was not mentioned on the sign up form, but now I see it is, so my card was charged almost $80.00. Still being ill I did not open or use the cd at that time, and since I had unchecked the "ok to send more" box, I did not expect to receive anything else. Yet when the mail piled up again there was another video. At this point I am at fault for not sending it right back, but thought, I'm just to tired to fight it, I'll just pay it and be done with it. I got around to tring part of program but am just not ready to commit the time right now. In the meantime I just checked my online cc statement and there is another $6.95 charge. So, good grief, I guess I have another one on its way and I haven't fully gotten to the others yet! I'm going to refuse to accept and RTS. Think this guy is abusing our sign up rights to refuse future shipments? I will accept partial responsibility for not feeling like dealing with it when I should have, so shame on me 2 times, But...shame on him and his business in the first place for misleading advertising and ignoring "not ok to ship more". I'm feeling much better now and ready to take him on. If I get one more charge after telling him NO MORE well, the fight is on!!

I ordered by phone one cd "learning how to buy and sell on e-bay".It was a special so I only had to pay shipping and handling of $4.95.<br /> At that time the telemarketer asked if I wanted to purchase another tape. I said NO! Do not send the extra tape. I gave her my visa number and we had agreed that I would only be billed shipping and handling for the cd about e-bay. When I recieved the package I had two cd's. The one I ordered and the one I said NO! I didn't want!<br /> I was so pissed I didn't even open the package further. I didn't use either cd's. I sent the package back expecting them to reimburse me for the $77 fee. So far I can't find anyone who can tell me about my purchase and return. I felt they intended to sent the second tape for full price whether I wanted it or not.

Unfortunately, the lesson I learned did not come from listening to the Video Professor tapes. After ordering this trial version my credit card information was then given over to a host of other websites for junk I never ordered. Beware
