I'm another victim--it doesn't matter if you finally do get through to cancel their next shipment (their timeline is always so you still owe for ones being shipped in outer space). I have also just been angry and returned them unopened and marked "REFUSED." They keep coming and debiting my account. We really have two options to get their hands out of our accounts--try 760-773-9022 or better yet, bite the bullet and close the account. I am embarrassed to say they have ripped me off for over $200. Don't be me...just close your account. This is a nightmare.

At the end of Sept, I ordered a Gunther-Renky product and was asked if I wanted to try a 30 day supply of vitamins for $1 plus shipping & handling. That sounded reasonable & I agreed. I was never told that I'd be joining some kind of membership and get vitamins regularly. When I received another box a few days ago I checked my credit card statement and noticed that I had been charged $33.95 THREE times, in addition to the first charge of $4.99 or so. I immediately tried to call the number on my credit card statement, which is 888-848-2797 several times, each time never getting beyond about an hour of recorded musak--no live person. I then called Gunther-Renky and the customer service person said that she was never instructed to mention that the vitamin promotion is more than a one-shot deal, and seemed genuinely surprised to hear my story. She gave me one more telephone number for Vitapower: 888-684-9660. For the next few days, I called both numbers as often as I could and stayed on hold as long as I could, while cleaning my apt., doing paperwork, washing TV. Finally, about an hour ago, a live person picked up after only about 30 minutes of being on hold with the elevator music. I told her my story and she said that if I mailed back my recent shipment I could get the last charge of $33.95 refunded to my credit card, but no other, because, unfortunatley, Vitapower has a 60 day refund policy. I explained that first of all, I was never informed that I was to receive anything more than one box of vitamins, I never signed up for a membership or anything of the sort. She said that in my first box I was sent information explaining that I would be sent the vitamins until I cancelled, and that I only had 60 days to return a box of vitamins or something like that. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and informed her that I had already contested all the charges (except the first one for $4.99) with my credit card company, and that if they didn't refund the 3 payments of $33.95 to my redit card account I fully planned to infrom the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Affairs Council of New York State. She said that she'd put me on hold to wait for a supervisor and assured me that it would be nowhere near the 1 hour that I'd been on hold previously. Less than 10 minutes later the same representative, "Ruby," came back on and said that her supervisor, "Miss Espinosa," said that they would credit my account 29.95 for each of the 3 charges of $33.95, because they cannot deduct the postage. I asked a mailer to be sent to me to return the 2 unopened boxes of vitamins that I have and she said they don't do that. I finally decided to stop pushing and accept that refund, losing a total of $12.00 of shipping sharges on their end, and probably another $10 of postage on my end--$22 out of the over $100 taht I've been charged. I'm not thrilled about losing the $22 for something that I NEVER ordered, but cannot bear to spend any more time on the phone holding for these people. I'm also not completely confident, after reading other people's stories, taht I will actually receive the refuld from them. I encourage people to file complaints with Gunther-Renky for promoting such a scam, and with any venues in your own state for this kind of deceitful business transactions, in additional to contesting each charge with you credit card company. I certainly will be wary before responding to any infomercials and their special promotions again. Good luck!

I received a trial package, call to cancel after third box received, one trial, two 60days supply, I notice my account charge again after 12.10.07, call was on line for over 20mins. Was told the account was cancel, and I was paying for the 60 day supply. That they charge $33.94 a month, but shipped every two months. What I am paying $67.88 for each 60 days supply.I didn't realize this, I thought is was $33.94 for 60 days supply. Now after reading this I am afraid they will continue. I spoke to provacti customer service and the representive is reporting this for me to corporate office, they do not operate the same, just so you folks might like to know, I had no problem with them.

I have only received the trial offer since I cancelled it immediately after trying it as it made me vomit. They stopped sending the vitamins but never stopped charging my account. I have put in a dispute with my bank and have also contacted Pro-Active since that is who I received it through. I insisted on a resolution within 48 hours or I will be contacting my lawyer and filing suit against Gunthy-Renker as they are who the offer was through. We'll see. The kicker is that I can't send any vitamins back because I never received them after the trial! I was told in December that the credit would be on my card for the two months but that never came through and now, they've charged me again. I'm losing my patience and will be filing suit if this is not settled. We definitely should be starting a class action lawsuit.

I got charged today for this, so I called and sat on hold for 45 min with no answer. I called my bank and told them I didnt know what the charge was and they canceled my card issued me a new one and gave me my money back.

I was scammed just like everyone else here. I was charged for this when I did not ask for it at all and I have reason to suspect that Vita Power Program got my info either through theft or because Guthy-Renker likes to pass that billing information around. I've been told by several people to contact the Better Business Bureau and have heard that if a company gets a complaint through the BBB it is very, very bad for them. I recommend that everyone continue complaining - but do it at the BBB.

The reason i am looking up this product is because i am so ill from the pills. I didn't attribute my stomach problems to these vitamins until i forgot to take them one night and just took them in the morning. - immediately threw-up, multiple times. I suddenly realized why i was not sleeping at night and waking up with an upset stomach. I am now on hold trying to cancel. (thanks for posting the number to call) Does the box say to take with food? I didn't see that anywhere...I am now completely suspect of this product due to all of the complaints on this and other websites, and the fact that i too have been waiting on the phone for over ten minutes... the call went directly to hold, no rep yet.

I have been having the same problem. I am trying to contact the invisible company! I had an idea, if you change your cc# then they cannot charge you again. It is somewhat annoying but less of a hassle then calling an invisible company. It is not like they have your ss # to report it to your credit report.

After I ordered from Guthy-Renker, they offered me a sample of Vita-power. Within 2 weeks of my order, I called and emailed Guthy-Renker to cancel any further shipments or orders by them and the GRC-VitaPower and they accepted. However, my credit card continued to be charged on 4 months basis in the total amount of $113 and after repeadetly calling the GRC-VitaPower and getting no answer (being placed on hold for hours), and emailing Guthy-Renker to put a stop on the use of my credit-card. I never enrolled in a plan with GRC-VitaPower and cancelled further shipments from them. They have been abusing the fact that they have a hold of my credi-card number and I keep on getting charged. This is SPAM and needs to be looked into immediately. Also, when you search for GRC VITA Power, all you get is pages of complaints with no company info.. Please someone take a look at this major SPAM!

I am also being charged for $33.94 for products not received for two months. I spoke to customer service and asked them to cancel these charges and was told they would be refunded. At this time no refunds have been posted to my credit card acct. I have filed a complaint with my credit card. I am file a complaint with sheer coverage and will. I will file as many complaints as possible to stop them from fraud and stop them from abusing other customers.

Everything listed below happened to me as well. I ordered Proactive and decided to try Vita Power - nonetheless, it made me sick after a week! I then noticed a charge on my account. Called customer service (about 30 min hold, but worth it!) and a lady said to return the last shipment within 60 days and they will refund my card. She also stated that my acocunt there has been cancelled. We will see! I asked for a confirmation email or something in writing to have as backup - they said they dont do that. Guess all I can do it wait it out to see if they refund me and stop the charges. Sucks that people take advantage like this - good luck!

In December 2007 I placed an order for Proactive online and upon going to the "checkout" area of the webpage another product was introduced to me asking if I would like to add it to my Proactive purchase. The product was for an order of vitamins for an additional cost of just $3.99, no shipping and handling. That sounded reasonable to me and I thought if Proactive had included the product on their site, my information and the product would be safe. Unfortunately what occurred next after receiving the product for the reasonable cost of $3.99 is I noticed there was a deduction of $33.94 taken out of my checking account from a debit card transaction for GRC Vita Power Program on January 4, 2008, which I did not authorize them to do. I contacted Vita Power just now, January 7, 2008, and was informed that since I had not contacted them direct, according to the information that was included with the original vitamins I received in December 2007 that I would automatically be sent out a 30 day supply of vitamins and that my checking account would be charged not just $33.94 like I discovered on January 4, 2008, but another deduction would be made to my account February 4, 2008 in the amount of $33.94. In other words, since I had not contacted the company in advance a 30 day supply of vitamins is sent out automatically and I am not only being charged $33.94 but a total cost of $67.88 which is divided up into two payments of $33.94. I quickly asked that the company cancel my membership (which of course I had never authorized) while I was on the phone with them, and was quickly given a confirmation number. I asked the company to send me a confirmation E-mail, but was told the confirmation number was all they could do. When I asked if I could have their website address, I was told they do not have a website. Bottom line, I do not believe that Proactive should have shared my debit card information since I was making a purchase through their website for their product, even though the vitamin product was being advertised. I feel that my confidential information was being exploited without my knowledge or authorization. Both companies in my mind are at fault.

What a shame we get tken in by what we believe to be reputable companies, i.e. Proactive. Along with many of you I signed up to receive proactive and also for the offer of trying the vitamins. I understood I would have to pay the s&h charge. Shortly after receiving the proactive I cancelled further shipments and thought that included the vitamins also. Suppose that was my mistake and will have to take credit for it. This month the $33.94 was deducted from my bank account via debit card for vitamins I have not received. I tried calling the number listed with the transaction from the bank. After 45 mins of holding still no answer. I decided to google "Vitapower" and found this site along with several others full of compliants. I am sure proactive is aware of the problem people have with vitapower and am so shocked they continue to pass them and their product on to us. I originally called the 888-848-2797 number. After reading complaints here I called the 888-684-9660 number. After holding for one hour I did get a live person, customer service representative "Ruby id number 3108". As I know now from this site, my vitamins were not cancelled when I cancelled proactive. You are billed in 2 payments for a 2 month supply of vitamins.....the 33.94 that was taken out today. I explained I haven't even received another box of vitamins which is why I assumed it was cancelled. "You are billed when the order is shipped. Your order was actually shipped on Friday which explains why you haven't received any yet. If you will return them before February 10th you wont be billed the 2nd installment for the vitamins. Once we receive the vitamins we will refund your money minus s&H". I asked again if this call would guarantee I was cancelled from future shipments and billings...."yes". I am skeptical that this is truly the end of it since so many others have had problems. It is troubling to me that reputable companies continue to do business with vitapower. If I do get charged again after following the above steps they gave me I will contact allow our local television scam reporters, the better business bureau, state attorney generals office and if necessary a lawyer. At some point I would like to think this scam would end....not only for myself, but for all the unsuspecting people being duped as I write this. I will send a follow up on whether they do indeed cancel and refund on their own. There seems to be lots of complaints on this site but it sure would be nice to find out how many people ever got the situation resolved and how.

I received a shipment of the Vitaclear Vitamins along with an order of Proactiv, and I payed $3.99 for S&H as a promo. Shortly after, I received another shipment at full price. I ended up not having to use the vitamins, and called Proactiv to try and discontinue the Vitamins. I was told to call a different department at 888-684-9660, but to no avail, after calling 4 times and being on hold for an hour, I was not able to reach any representative. I ended up calling another representative at the Proactiv number named Janae. She tried to help me with the situation by calling the 888 number herself, and ended up being on hold for around 20 minutes. She was surprised herself that it was impossible to get through, and gave me the Guthy Renker corporate number to have them take care of it. The number was 760-773-9022, and the customer service representative was very helpful and ended up sending my information to their department to get my refund and to discontinue receiving the vitamins. I would suggest that anyone do this who is having trouble getting through, it's ridiculous to have to wait and wait and not get any help from the Vitapower's phone number. I am crossing my fingers and hoping that this will work and I won't have to go through this again!!

WELL MY STORY IS THE SAME WITH ORDERING PRO ACTIVE--I T00 GOT THE VITAMINS FOR 1$ and then never called to cancel them-my fault--i got another box and debit to my checking account--here is were my story differs--i called pro active-they gave me the number to call to cancel the vitamins-i got right through-and they stoped them-instead of sending them back (since i take a multi vit everyday anyway) i deciced to try them-i love them they gave me extra engery and really did clear up my skin--i even ran it past my gp and he was fine with the combination of the vitamins so ... i'm now tryg to find them in a reg store so i can just buy them when i want and not get them auto and even try to get them cheaper.

I ordered the bare minerals makeup. The salesperson on the phone convinced me to try the vitamins for $1. The vitamins have made me very ill. I have tried repeatedly to call and cancel, but I keep getting the vitamins and keep being charged. I have also contacted Bare Minerals about this, since it was part of their add---no response.. The only thing left for me to do is to contact the state attorney general's office and try to retrieve my money.

This is a scam and I hope that more people can come together to have this stopped! I purchased proactive and was offered the free trail sample. I took the offer, silly me. There was nothing stating that I would be charged $33.94 a month on a continuous basis. I don't even use the product. I contacted proactive and was told to call a different phone number. I tried two numbers and sat on hold for over an hour both times with no answer. I never did get through. I called the corporate office, guthy-renker, and had to leave a message. Hopefully this issue will be resolved. After reading all the other complaints, I am worried that this is going to be a long fight. Please let's all get together and STOP! these crooks.

I also got scammed by this company, I called to canel and they said they would, then they gave me the "send it back for a refund" line, which is of course at my own expense. After reading this site regarding charges appearing after cancellation, I have taken the only sure-fire way of stopping more charges. The charge appeared on my debit card, so today, I have called my bank and told them my card was lost. The card number that Vitapower has is now useless. I will be issued with a new card with a new number. Good luck vitapower getting any more money from me!!

Well, I went online and order proactive. They had an ad where I only pay shipping for the Vitapower. Next thing I know I recieve another shipment of a two month supply. I had never ordered it. Well, I looked at my statement and GRC*VitaPower Program charged my account 33.94. I was never informed that I was going to be charged for vitapower nor I never enrolled in anything. It was just suppose to be a advertisment. You pay shipping to try it out. It never said anything about them charging you for the vitapower 30 days later. I am very disappointed. I called proactive and they couldnt do anything. I have to call another number. It's a scam. False advertisment. The vitapower doesn't do anything for me and I don't even take them. It is a scam and they will be putting my money back to my card and I am sending the Vitapower back. They just sit in my cuboard.
