Just like everyone else I am pissed (mad!!). Its ridiculous how Proactive would use them on their pwn order processes. I too fell for the "free" offer. When I canceled Proactive I believed I canceled "everything". A month later anothe package came in the mail and I was shocked. Checked my statement and yes I was charged. So I googles the company and just like all of you I only see complaints. Should have sone this before. I called and canceled the order. The rep was rude and nasty. She was upset I was canceling. I made sure she would cancel everything and that no more should be mailed out. Its been another month and guess what?!...another charge!!...argg I am so mad at stupid vitapower...Im on the phone waiting for minutes and no answer. Who wants to file a lawsuit because I'm in forsure!

Yes, I too was scammed by Vitapower. I ordered one of the online products and was offered the 4.99 trial offer as well. I declined because I did not want the obligation of buying them each month without even trying them. I was told that I could just try the box and order at will after that. Ha! Lo and behold I have my first payment of 33.95 for a two month supply that I did not want. I called the number on this website and tried to cancel. I was told I had to pay for the first month and that if I sent the second box back by Jan 21st. I would be credited. This is a true scam. I am also going to cancel the other product I ordered because they must know how Vitapower operates.

1-888-848-2797 That's the number to call for VitaPower. I ordered the $1 pack when I bought the Core Secrets kit from Guthy Renker. The day my package arrived, I called the number on the VitaPower box, ended my order and left for 4 months on business. I get back in December and find 4 of these packages at my house along with 4 debits from my checking account. I call their customer service. They refuse to accept all but the most recent shipment for return. (60 day return policy) and the supervisor blatantly called me a liar, saying I never called to end my subscription. The supervisor advised me that there was noone to whom my call could be escalated and offered only to provide me with an address to write to requesting another address to send my complaint to. She then hung up on me without my ever being beligerent or using any profanities. I am on my second call right now and have yet to get back in touch with the supervisor. 38 minutes of holding at the moement. Pathetic.

I ordered make-up off of the TV. I was also conned into trying this product. Howeever I was never told that I would be charged for the sample if I did not cancel the order. Well I never ordered the vitamin. But however I have been charged twice for this vitamin on my credit card. I can not get hold of anyone by phone to get this cancled I have been put on hold or no one answers the phone. If someone out there has a foo number plese E-mail to me. [] Bev

This guys are unscrupulous. They have now charged my credit card twice without my consent. After I called and cancelled the Proactive which i bought. Inever ordered no vitamins. I am pissed off. If you call them, they will keep you on hold for 30mins and then hang up.

I'm so sorry to hear that I'm not alone in the saga with Vitapower Vitamins. A few months ago, I ordered ProActive and was enticed to try Vitapower for a nominal fee - I figured didn't have anything to lose. Needless to say (with two unapproved auto shipped packages sitting here on my coffee table!) I wish I would have NEVER been sucked into their trap. I have called Vitapower many, many times and demanded that they discontinue charging my Visa for their unwanted product; I was told no problem...just ship the products back to us for a full refund. Did I mention that not only do I have to pay for this shipment, but ALSO have to insure it AND place deliver confirmation service on the packages to insure a speedy refund?!?!? Give me a break, Vitapower - you have S C A M written all over your faces! You should be ashamed of your shady businesses practices AND for taking advantage of innocent consumers!

I have no idea why I even have this coming to me - I didnt order anything from Vitapower - who are they? I received one box and opened because I didnt know who it was from. I received another one and refused to accept it and I still keep getting charged! This is a total RIP OFF!

I ordered Pro Active on the phone and asked if i would like to try vita power vitamins for 1$ i said sure its a dollar right? The next bank statement i got charged 63$ for these vitamins that i haven't been taking because they don't work. I call Pro Active and they tell me that they have nothing to do with the vitamins, Pro Active didn't even give me Vitapowers number the first time i called them. Until i got another 63$ charge on my account. So i call ProActive again and they give me Vita's number. I call vita around 11:00 Arizona time, I got a recording saying to call back in the business hours from 10:00-5:00 Eastern time. Over the past 5 or 6 months these piggyback frauds have taken around 400$ from me.

12/14/2007 - scott writes:
my wife did the same thing you people did and she is getting charged each month also. does anyone have a number that i can call to get ahold of these jerks?

IS THIS AMERICA???? SAME STORY-WE PURCHASED PROACTIVE AND THOUGHT WE WERE GETTING FREE SAMPLE PACKS OF VITAMINS ON TRIAL,,,( SHAME ON ME NOTHING IS FREE) NOW EVERY MONTH BEING CHARGED, PRODUCT WAS SENT BACK, CALLED THE CO ASSURED IT WOULD BE STOPPED, IT HAS NOT. MY BANK SAID THEY CAN NOT HELP US, I NEED TO GET AN ATTORNEY. PROACTIVE IS A MULT BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY SHAME ON THEM FOR PUTTING THEIR CONSUMERS AT RISK BY ALLOWING THIS PIGGYBACK. PROCATIVE STATES THAT THEY CAN NOT HELP ME WITH THIS SITUATION. WHY CAN'T THE BETTER BUISNESS BUREAU GET ON BOARD IMMEDIATLEY AND BUT AN END TO THIS RIP OFF?

I noticed a charge on my checking account that I've not seen before. Granted, it's for a nominal fee of $3.99, however it is for GRC Vita Power Pro- and for something I neither authorized nor received any merchandise for. I read a post on a complaint site that this was tied to a Winsor Pilates product and I, too, ordered a Winsor pilates product and yet that was over three years ago. I am disputing these charges and how they can issue a charge to an account so many years later and without authorization is fraud in my book.

We too ordered VitaPower online--thinking it was a one time deal. They kept sending new product and billing $33.94 each month on my credit card. When we called to cancel they quit sending the product but continue to bill evey month!!! I've held FOREVER when trying to reach them by phone! This is a scam!!!!!

12/11/2007 - Ivy writes:
This is so unfortunate that this is happening, or has happened to all of us. We all know the story. We call to order Proactiv and this offer comes up. Personally, I couldn't really understand the sales rep so I didn't even really think about and just said yes to the 2.99 or 3.99 offer that they had for VitaPower. After I received the package that I paid $3.99 (shipping) for, I saw that I had been charged around $75 or so for another shipment that I did not asked for. I was furious!! I'm a college student and I work part time and I don't have the kind of money that they can keep taking month after month for crap that I didn't really want in the first place. And even if I were rich, I still would have felt ripped off. I called the 800 number that was included in my bank statement and after 45 minutes of waiting, someone picked up the phone. I told them that I did not want anymore of their product and I don't remember ever signing up for continuous supplies other than that offer with my Proactiv. I told him I wanted my money back and I wanted to cancel the account that I don't remember ever agreeing to. He said okay, that's fine, send the product back within 30 days and we'll give you your money back. I asked him once more if my account was cancelled and he assured me that it was. This happened about four months ago. During that time, I felt that there was something kind of fishy about how they just charge your bank account without your consent. So I looked them up on the internet and I stumbled upon this site. I read what had happened to some people and I was shocked. I took some lady's advice and had my bank card cancelled so they can't charge it anymore. I thought this was a pretty good idea and after a month, I saw no charges. And then they start sending me letters saying that I still owe them $63. I'm like... WTF!!! How can I owe them $63 when I cancelled my account? I didn't pay much attention to it because I was assured that I din't owe them anything and they are just trying to rip me off again. They sent me 4 letters and on the 4th one they said that they were going to report me to a collection agency. This was it! I couldn't take it anymore!! I felt that they were playing with people and I had to do something about it. So again, I called the stupid 800 number and the spanish speaking lady says "press one if you would like to continue your call in English, and para continuar al conversacion en espanol,..... whatever.. You press one and some guy basically says that you have not called within their operational hours but then you look at the time and it's completely within the eastern standard time that they are operating in. I mean, the letter says respond promptly and I can't even get through? At this point I'm furious, my mom is yelling at me, and I feel that I'm being screwed over and threatened at the same time (about being reported to a collection agency). I look around the internet and found an email address for customer service Guthy Renker. I would show you guys what I wrote but I'm not allowed to. I consider myself a very patient, caring person who does not usually use profanity but I felt that they stepped way out of line. What I basically said was that I did not agree to create an account for the VitaPower product and they had no right to charge my card. I also said that for a big company, they lacked a lot of professionalism. I wrote about the 800 number that was, in my opinion, inactive, how they only provide that one number, how they don't send an invoice with the packages, how they mislead consumers, all that good stuff. I also tried calling that 800 number again and after an hour of waiting, i got to talk to a rep. I asked her about the letter and how I could possibly owe them $63 when I had cancelled my account with them. She told me that I was shipped a 2 month supply of VitaPower (the one that they charged me like $75 for) and that the $63 was for the rest of it. I was like.. "you mean to tell me that I still need to pay you $63 for two damn boxes that I didn't want and still haven't opened?" She said, "I'm sorry that your upset, but that doesn't change that fact that you still owe that amount." I didn't know what to say at that point. But stuff came out of my mouth. I said that I felt that they were screwing with people because they are with-holding information from them. I didn't send back the pills because I thought I would just cut my losses, lesson learned. I mean, if they told me that I would still have to pay $63 for the rest of the boxes, I would have definitely sent it back. The fact of the matter is that I'm in college and I just don't have the time. I mean, spend more money to ship the damn thing back to them? And I couldn't send it back to them anyway because I cancelled my card. I told her that they can't do this to people and if I can have a corporate number or something and they said she knows of no such thing to exist. I told her that I was really angry and I need to talk to someone now. She told me that a supervisor was available in about 45 minutes. I told her are you kidding me??? and what? wait for another hour?? I remember using one or two 4-letter words and I do feel bad about that. It is not directly her fault but she still works for a company that screws with people, so oh well. I call again and this time it was a guy. I asked him if i can speak to a supervisor and he asked me what it was regarding and I told him that it was regarding a complaint about the company. He told me that the other rep who I was talking to before wrote a 'little note' on my account and that he'll try to find a supervisor. He came back on and said that there were no supervisors taking calls at the moment. I asked him when it was a good time to call (in a really pissed off tone) and I can tell that he was uncomfortable. It was probably because I told him that they can't do this to me, or to a lot of people because I'm going to do something about it. I happen to be the student body president of my college and I'm ready to do everything in my power to let people know what the company has done to me and to others out there. .... sorry that i wrote such a long response but i really needed to get it off my chest... the story end with me being VitaFREE

I have purchase shear covers for my wife in Oct. 15 days later I received 30 day free trial from Vita power. They told me that I have agree to get free vitamin with shear covers which I have not agree to. Now my $34 dollar is lost and shear covers does not held responsible for giving my credit card information away. Shear covers or Proactive or anything that Guthy Renkers will do is sell your credit card info to third party!! It fact no BS!!

I bought ProActive for my daughter from an infomercial and they offered the Vita Power vitamins as a additional offer on the phone. My daughter tried them and they made her ill. So I called within the 30 day trial period to cancel. They had already sent the next package and billed my credit card. They said I could send them back and I'd get a refund and they would discontinue the subscription. I just got another charge on my credit card and I'm currently on hold and on hold to try again to cut off the subscription. Ridiculous!

I don't even know why I am being charged this monthly fee. I don't even know what this is and... I don't know when it started. Is there a way to have it cancelled?

12/2/2007 - Dan writes:
Same here.. 3 months worth at 33.94. I understand I agreed to a contract due to my own ignorance. But after calling and cancelling, and having a rep tell me it was cancelled, it is class action law suit time now that they continue to charge my account. Who is or knows a lawyer that is willing to file on our behalf? I'll pay the lawyer the 33.94 a month until the theives are brought to justice. If we all do the same, we can beat them.
