What a nightmare! I ordered these back in November. Called a couple days later and spoke to Justin who said he could not cancel the order, but would process a refund. Called on December 17 and spoke to Kim who told me I would get a refund 7-14 business days. Called on 1/3/08 and spoke to Neil who stated the product hadn't been returned. He also suggested I wait a couple more days for my refund. After not getting my refund, I called on 1/9 and spoke to Jazz who stated the product still wasn't returned and she would make sure I got my refund. Well, now it is 1/17/08 and I still haven't gotten a refund. I called on 1/14/08 and spoke to Kevin who stated he would email me an insurance claim. I should get the email in 24 hours. Well, it is now 60 hours since I spoke with him and nothing. Everytime I call, I get different stories, timeframes, etc. I have asked for a supervisor to call me back, they have not.

I first shared my story 1/3/08. I'm on hold right now with Walk Fit, which will probably be at least an hour. I still have not received my refund. I'm also in the process of writing to my Attorney General of this scam. Kathy

Just getting back.. I couldnt cancel my check card. The bank told me to call company and cancel order before it gets shipped. I called at 9:00am this morning 20 minutes later talked to a guy that speaks very bad english, could barely understand him, I said "I want to cancel my order" and he verfied my address and email and before I could confirm it was canceled for sure and no charges would be made to my account, he hung up! So I called again after work and waited 1 hour and 15 mins to talk to a guy that was very helpful and confirmed my account was cancelled and no charges will be made to my account, but did inform me that it was not cancelled earlier. So I really have no idea what will happen! So if anything I have learned a lesson, Never Buy Anything From Infomercials ever again!!!

I hope i can cancel visa check card. i will be getting back to you!!! Thanks Annette I will be interested in sharing my story with news or whatever if i get ripped off!!!

I am also waiting for Walk-Fit to pick up my phone call…I have tried to get a refund for a pair of orthodics I purchased back in November. Back and forth via e-mails to no avail…they keep sending an auto-response then keep asking for the same order info over and over. The most recent directed me to call 800-554-6051… .15-minute wait to find out I needed to call 800-875-8577…. another 10-min wait to find out that I should have pressed ‘1’….. another 10-min wait to find that I needed to call 800-819-6294…. I have been waiting now for 25 min…. I bought these through [] dealer ‘As Seen on TV’ and they were no help at all….. if I don’t get my refund, I will never place another order through []…. BTW the orthodics were the worst I have ever experienced…. John T.

I should have known this was a scam because when I initially ordered, the automated ordering system tricked me into ordering the cushions, which I didn't want but had no way to change the order. When we got the package, they threw in the lotion, which we didn't order and of course charged us. My husband tried the product, which was very painful. We returned everything and had to pay extra for signed receipt--their request. Today I find I have an additonal charge on my Visa. I'm on hold right now as I write this. I still haven't received a refund for anything. I was told to not contact the Better Business Bureau but our Attorney General because of the inflated shipping prices. I hope no one else orders from them. I have a feeling the nightmare is not over. I'll keep you posted. Kathy

My wife and I purchased Walk Fit via the infomercial on the []. We asked for normal shipping. Sure enough 3 weeks later, we received the product in the mail. We quickly noticed that we were charged $20.00 for shipping. The invoice indicates that the weight of the items was 3.7 pounds. We weighed the entire product and it weighed .7 pounds. What a rip off!! Now comes the good part... 2 weeks after receiving our walkfit inserts, (which by the way are extremely uncomfortable, a 2nd shipment of some sort of vitamin pills arrives with an additional charge of $25.98. Now why would this occur? Enough though we never asked for any sort of pills, Walk Fit must have felt that we needed them and decided that they would start sending us these pills every 2 months charging over $50.00 for the damn things. Further review indicated that it is our responsibility, (even though we never asked for any pills)that we call to cancel. Now the even better part. We called the 800 number and after waiting for about 30 minutes, decided to go on line and look up a possible web site. This is when I discovered the customer complaints. Well my wife, bless her heart, waited on that damn phone for 101 minutes....that's right 101 minutes. After reading the complaints online, we knew this was a scam and were determined to get speak with someone. We spoke with BOB... Now do you really think that was his real name? We asked for his employee #, etc. no luck. Asked for another number we could post on this site, no luck. BOB was not a lot of help, but did assure us that he would credit our account, once the shipment is returned and received. I doubt that we ever get a credit... BOB did provide us with a cancellation number, let's just hope this works. As long as my CC never gets billed again from this Scamming company. I guess you live and learn. I will never purchase anything from an Imfomercial again. Not only is this a scam, but it is mail fraud. They should not be charging such high costs for shipping. Also, the inserts feel like you are walking on a golf ball. What a rip off...... what a rip off......... what a freeking rip off.. Thanks Walk Fit

Same for me.....I'm on hold with these guys for the 10th or 11th time, now for a little over an hour....I purchased thes back in November, never received a receipt via e-mail or any tracking mechanism, was overcharged for shipping, refused the package, got through on the Sylmark Inc number (323) 938-9200 and talked to a rep who said they would issue a refund once they received the package back, gave me a refund number but here it is December 31st and I have nothing and then they charged another 44.85 which looks like its for some vitamins that I haven't ordered or received. How can businesses get away with crap like this?????? The time and effort this is taking deserves a class action lawsuit....anyone know a good class action lawyer in California????

On September 27, 2007 I was watching an infomercial on television about these "wonderful" orthotics that people were giving testimony about. My husband had suffered a stroke in 2003 and we were wathing the commercial together. He felt that the product would probably be great for stability with his right foot. I went on line to order the product and very early into the order process became aware that the shipping charge was extremely high and that you really had to order two devices, not one. This was truly something that I did not want to do. There was no way of backing out of this order screen and I was led to contact-us screen. I sent an email immediately that I did hot want to order the product. I received an instant email response that someone would be in touch in 24-48 hours. I never received a response. After several days, I tried contact the 800 number and remained on hold for an extremely long amount of time (somewhere about 30 minutes). I finally hung up in frustration and decided I would try again in a day or two. Then, I was checking my checking account on line and saw that it was debitted on October 4th for the amount of $36.95. I called the 800 number again and again on hold for an extremely long amount of time. This time, though, I decided I would hang on. The customer service representative finally answered and I explained my problem. I told him I wanted the order to be cancelled and I also told him at that time that I had contacted the company by email on September 27th to "cancel the order". He said he could not stop the order and that it had already shipped. I asked to speak with a Customer Service Supervisor, but was told she had not arrived yet to work. He advised me that the only thing that I could do at this time would be to refuse the order when it arrived. Well, it finally arrived on October 16, 2007. I was home from work and handed it right back to the Postal Delivery Man and he said he would mark it as "refused". Well, I then waited until December 14th, which I thought would be ample time for the item to be received back and the credit to be applied to my account. Obviously, you can tell by this lengthy story, that the credit was not processed. I then called the 800 number again and "again" remained on hold for an extremely long time. A Customer service representative finally answered and I had to re-tell the same story again. He apologized for any inconvenience and asked if he could put me on hold while he checked my order. After remaining on hold as he did this, he came back on the phone and kept on apologizing. He said that the shipment had been refused. However, could not process a credit.......instead, he asked for my email address and assured my that he was sending an email to the corporate office and someone from there would contact me in 2 business days. It is now a week later and I have just gone through the same thing again....calling the company....remaining on hold and finally connected to "another" incompetent Customer Service Representative. He told me the same thing as the person from last week.......but this Representative told me that they have to make sure that the item has been received and it doesn't matter if I refused it> He told me that I should have got a tracking number. I told im that the CSR from last week had already tracked the original tracking number and could see it is refused. He said that it doesn't make any difference....there has to be proof it has been received. This CSR took my email address again and told me that he would send the information again to the Corporate Office and someone would contact me in 2 business days. I hardly think so!! I also has this CSR if I could speak to a Supervisor and I was informed that the Supervisor was not in at this time. I've actually gone on a site on the computer and saw that my story is not unique. The same type of situation. I really don't know what to do anymore. I cannot believe that the California Attorney General's Office has not done something about this company. Please help.

In short, I'm a physician (a general surgeon). I HAVE custom orthotics and severe plantar fasciitis--I've gone to physical therapy, done stretching, had steroid injections, and the podiatry-made custom orthoses helped--but marginally. So, I ordered 3 pairs of these orthoses (thinking, if they don't help me, perhaps my wife could get some benefit). The package arrived about 3 weeks after being ordered. It arrived in a PLASTIC ENVELOPE (NOT a BOX). The invoice states the shipping weight was 5.13 lbs. I suspect it actually weighs LESS than ONE pound. I was charged $49.65 for shipping. I figured the company was "swinging" the low cost of the product over into the illusive "processing" fees. And, yes, they are. The product looks exactly like the commercial and it IS flexible. It comes with instructions and they CLEARLY state to consult a physician--therefore, the company has no liability in this regard if you're not satisfied. However, the real problem here may be mail fraud (claiming one weight, charging for it, far exceeding the actual contents.) Note: It does NOT say "processing fee" it says "shipping." Thus, if you are dis-satisifed, I suggest to NOT report this company to the BBB (Better Business Bureau), but to your State's Attorney General's office And to the post-master general for mail fraud. This is NOT health-care fraud. This is not mis-representation. This is charging out-rageous shipping charges, claiming excess weights, and fraudulently charging for "shipping". I have already notified the Arizona Attorney General's office of this practice. It is, unlikely, any action will be taken by this Government agency--but it is better than the BBB--which has NO regulatory authority. DO NOT REPORT THIS COMPANY TO THE BBB--REPORT THEM TO YOUR STATE'S ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE OR TO THE POST-MASTER GENERAL FOR MAIL-FRAUD.

I ordered Walk Fit Orthodics and used them. It felt like I had ladder rungs in my shoes. But I made no effort to return them as I felt that was a lesson learned. But the story doesn't stop there. In a month or so they sent me two bottles of joint support compound I hadn't ordered AND included an invoice for $44.85. I immediately cancelled my Visa card but it was too late - they'd already charged me. I called them and complained; I was instruced to return the bottles. I luckily thought to send them via the post office with confirmation of receipt. I accessed the website and saw they'd received the product on Oct 9th. I've called twice to ask where my refund is and both times have been told they haven't received it. When I give them my confirmation number they check and agree they have indeed received the package. To date - no refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!!!!!!!!

I was extrememly disappointed with Walk Fit Orthotics's ethics. They are a scam. Anyone that has ever sent packages through the mail, knows that a package that weighs 2.91 lbs. is nowhere near the $30.00 dollars they are charging. I plan to tell everyone that will listen to never ever buy their product.

I was unable to use the walk fit orthotics, because I was going to have ankle surgery. I sent them back within 30 days. It cost me $7.00 to send back this product, in the mean time they charged my credit card account $29.80 a processing and shipping fees that are not refundable. This company is not in to customer care, the inserts hurt my feet and they are making more money off the shipping than what the product is worth. Beware do not give this company your credit card number.

The company has a confusing website wanting to provide add-on products. You have to really look to have a straightforward order without add-ons. Pretty sleezy approach. On another note, when I finally ordered the product, they charged me with expedited delivery charges when only the basic delivery was requested. The bill showed an itemization of basic shipping but the expedited charge was placed on my credit card. The difference was $ 10.00. Customer service is horrible. Put on hold for 20 minutes and then cut off. Very questionable company.

I ordered a pair thinking this product would be useful for me. I received it maybe 2 wks after i ordered it online. Used it a few days and not sure but it gave me a BIG blister!!! So the next time i went and mailed it back. I called in the beginning of this month to check on my refund and a male gave me a confirmation # letting me know that I should receive my refund in 5-7 business days. So its almost end of the month and still no refund back to my acct. so i called and spoke to a male, he told me that my refund got cancelled due to 30 day has already passed to get the refund. i had asked to a supervisor and male said "they were at a meeting". after talking to him and complaining about how i got a confirmation # and a response how i was supposed to get my money back in 5-7 days, the male tried to make like he couldn't hear me, and hung up. I called back and another male had answered. Explained to him what happened and said they did not have any record of the product being received back, and that refund could not be given to me due to that. He wanted me to fax over a copy of my receipt that I got from the post office when I mailed it, but HELLO i disregarded it because i didn't think it was necessary for me to have it and assuming that they would receive it safely. I learned my lesson! what i rip off!!! I'm soo pissed off! They just want your money!! DONT BUY FROM THEM due to the experience I've had with them. SCAM!
