August12, 2005 I ordered the product + other items after watching the ad on tv. I was told the product was made by singer and was one of the best on the market. I never recieved the vaccumes and began to call and was told that everything would be shipped in 3 to 5 days. It is now the last of May 2006. I have called 1-800-716-8667 and been put on hold until there end hangs up. I try this toll free number over and over in hopes that the call will at least cost them money. I had hopes of getting my produce when I read some of you had gotten 3 and 4 vaccumes. just call me stupid in South Carolina but I will not buy any thing off a tv informational again.

In December of 2005 I fell prey to the IGIA Windstorm vacuum cleaner. After ordering I decided to do some research on the company and found that they were the subject of numerous scams and cases where they ripped off the consumer. I immediately called and cancelled the order, as well as emailing the company. My Credit card was charged $136.00. Since that time, I have called the company every week, (sometimes twice a week), concerning my refund, and always received the same promise, of it will be mailed Friday. Now all I get is a recording to call back during normal business hours. By the way they have no business hours as I've tried around the clock. I have written the California and North Carolina State Attorney Generals, only to be told that they could not help me. I have tried everything to get something done about this rip off with no help from anyone. I refuse to give up on this although I don't know where to turn next. I am a Disabled Veteran amputee, and am confined to a wheelchair. Does anyone have any ideas to help me?

After reading all the other horror stories I believe I have gotten off easy. I have been attempting to order replacement filters. I now know why I can't find any!! It appears the Wind Storm company is not longer in business. I ordered one vacuum and actually only received the one. Unfortunately, I did not order extra filters when I first intially ordered the vacuum. A waste of $80.00 once the only filter I have goes!!

On Oct 16, 2005 I had placed an order on 1 vacuum. I call to see when I will receive the vacuum. They told me it was on back order. So I call them in the first week of November to cancel my order. They told me that I would get a credit in 20 days, I call the toll free number 800- 711-8357 that was bill to my visa account, and this number is an automatic number. It say to call M-F 8:30a - 5:30p between business hours. I have been calling for the past 3 months, during these hours, and it just hangs up. You can't speak to a live person. Here we are in May 23rd, 2006. I still can't get a rep to pick up the phone you hold for the next available call, it hangs up. I call this number 1 800 716-8667, and get no answer. This is ridiculous. I have been waiting so long to get my credit of $95.34 that was charge to my visa. I just want my credit of $95.34. We are being rip off by this by this company.

I ordered the Wind Storm vacumn via IGIA in Nov 2005 and never received a thing.  My bank card was charged $402.33.  When I first called in March I was told they would be shipped on "Friday"....3 weeks later I had not received anything and called back was was told they would ship in 2 weeks, that they were on backorder so I requested that the order be cancelled and was given a cancellation number of 40989.  It has now been over 5 weeks and I have yet to see a refund and of course as the rest of you has found, the bank won't help me because it has been over 60 days!

My father bought a vacuum in February 2006.  He was able to speak with service reps and they swore that his refund would be out in the mail in a few days each time.  Its May, the numbers are disconnected. He found a direct number to their headquartes in New York.  I called the number and a very rude(curt) girl told me I was being transferred to Gayle's(?) line. After several ringbacks to the receptionist, she took my fathers number and said someone would call me back.  Will it ever happen, not sure. My father is currently in communique with the New York Attorny General.  I am goint to submit a grievance with the Ca. BBB.  If you want to try the New York #, it is 212-575-0500

I placed an order thru TV on August 19th, 2005.  My order totaled $313.70,  I was told the frist time I called that it would be shipped out November 20, 2005.  Didn't get it and called back the next week and was told it would ship out that Tuesday (11-29-05) by Fed Express.  Did not get and call back again and cancelled my order!  As of today May 18, 2006 I still have not gotten my refund!  I call every week and talk to the same girl!  The last lie they told was that they were mailing my refund in May.  Called today and they say it is in process, but I have heard this before.  I just tried of this bull and want my money back!  What do I do??

In Nov of 2005, I ordered a vacume cleaner after watching a tv infomercial. Before the bill came, just a few days after ordering and charging it to my credit card, I called and cancelled.  The bill came on a Dec 20th statement with a charge posted on 11/22/05 for $313.70. I called the 1-800-711-8357 number because that was double the cost of the one vacume cleaner that I had cancelled over the phone a couple of weeks earlier.  I was told my card would be credited back the full amount the following month.  In Jan. there was no credit so I called and they told me they were sorry but it would definitly come on the next billing cycle.  In Feb there was no credit so I began to get angry when I called and they began to hang up on me, and told me to call Corprotate at1-212-575-0500.  I did and that is when they , Corporate, who was suppose to have more authority I guess, said if I would be patient, they would absolutely credit my account in March. It didn't happen.  I finally went on the internet looking for them and  e-mailed them.  I was told I would receive a solution from someone who would contact me within 24 hours. It did not happen.  I have been hung up on, put on hold, told the computors were down two weeks ago, told they just moved into a new office last week and this week their computors are down again, they say!  But the stsory today is, someone will get back with me between 5 and 6 tonight!  I did not think to call the credit card company because this was not a charge that I DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH. I thought they would only help if it was a charge that you  absolutely something did not make yourself.    When I finally DID call, at the advice of a friend, they said I would have had to report the problem within 60 days of the charge.  I think that is unfair also, since there could feasibley have been an honest problem for 60 days and I would not have suspected foul play in 60 days, 90 yes, but not 60.  60 days is only the second billing cycle after the charge.  I went on line and found your web and discovered I was not the only one who has had a problem with Agia who is  out of New York.  I would like to see them shut down and if it means going to the press I will be glad to do it.  Just tell me when or where.  I live at [].  I am a retired flight attendant for Usairways and can fly for free. I'll come where ever you need me!  I have never had this happen and hate to see it happen to others.  If you would respond to this e-mail, I would be delighted.  Karen

Unforunately, I ordered the buy one get one free windstorm vacuum.  Days later my card was charged 511.67!!!  I cancelled my order by sending 5 emails which were never responded to and after a 2 hour wait on the phone was disconnected because it was 5pm central time!  I have been able to reach the company twice with promises of immediate refunds promised on 4-6 and again a promise to have a refund to me after the customer rep promised to call corporate to have the refund expedited within 5 days.  Still nothing.  Now the phones appear to be permanently off as I call to hear a message to call back during business hours even though I am calling during their stated business hours.  This is obviously a rip-off and my first bad buying experience.

I ordered 1 windstorm and got 3.  I called customer service to arrange pickup.  They said to just write refused on boxes and take to UPS Store.  That was 6 months ago and still no refund. I have emailed and called, but can never talk to anyone.  I stay on hold listening to Lite Rock 97 for 15 minutes then the line goes busy.  Next to WIREFLY this is the shadiest operation I have ever dealt with.

To all out there that is just like myself and has been scammed by these people I have contacted my state Attorney Generals Office and I really do urge everyone out there to do the same and don't stop with your state do every state especially the ones at which this company list there address New York,  California and any other that you all might know!!  I would rather spend my days complaining to an Attorney Generals Office than on the phone for hours on hold only to be hung up on again!!!  We all already know this company isn't going to reply to our emails or phone calls so why not continue complaining to the Attorney Generals Office until someone investigates them and hopefully shuts them down!!!  The more we all complain the better a chance we have of something getting done these blood suckers aren't going to help us!!  And I worry everyday if they are going to take more money out of my account this is an outrage!!! if anyone out there has any better suggestions please let me know []

I called for my windstorm vac on January 23, 2006 - paid with an electronic check and never received the vacuum.  I finally cancelled after 4 months of waiting, received a cancellation number and never received my money back.  I can't get a hold of a customer service rep. (they keep hanging up) By chance this evening I stumbled on this website and to my surprise Windstorm has been scamming people for a very long time, and getting away with this.  I have reached out to a local newspaper and await a response.  I hope this message helps those who are contemplating purchasing a Windstorm that they think twice. I ordered windstorm on the 29th of December 2005.  I returned the product Jan 13th, 2006.  Called the company the end of Jan. and I was told they never recieved it.  So I had to call UPS and get tracking # called windstorm back and told them they had recieved it back on the 19th of Jan. I was then told I wopuld recieve the money back within 30 days. I have called daily, each time told something new. Well here it is the 15th of May 2006 just got off the phone with a representive and they was far to busy to speak with me but took my name and number claiming I would be contacted by customer service.  And like everybody else I will never recieve my money back. I have also contacted the BBB and no response from them either.  Surely there is something as consumers we can do.

I ordered a vac in response to the informercial on 10/8/05.It appeared on my credit card biling statement on 10/23/05.  I waited for merchandise until 12/1/05 when I finally called.  I was told there was such a demand it was delayed in shipment but would be shipped the week of 12/1/05. 12/19/05 still did not bring the vac. I called again and was told they could not tell me when they would be able to ship it.  The representative suggested that I cancel this order for the time being which I did.  I was given a confirmation number for this and told my credit card would be credited within 20 business days. I called again on 12/18/05 and was assured my card would be credited by 1/18/06. I called again on 1/20/06 and was told it would be credited by Friday of that week.  I called back on 2/2/06 and was told that it was credited to my account and just wait until my statement came  in. It wasn't on my statement so I called back and was assured that I would be a credit on 2/13/06.  This never happedned either. I called again on 3/28/06 and was given the address of the office in New York, but could not find a listing for this either.  I called again and got an address of the company in Commerce, California, which was again a blind alley as there was no one to reach.  I have spoken to order takers, packers, so called supervisors but NO ONE is in charge. I am in the process of writing to BBB of New York and the trade commission of California for help in getting a refund for this situation.  Is there a light at the end of this travesty?
