OMG!!! Boy have I learned my lesson. Never again! I thought I was the only one, but then I came across this wonderful website, and I will do my homework next time. I don't have to tell my story, because it is identical to all of yours!

I bought the Windstorm vaccume in December and it did NOT do anything that it advertised. I called them back and they said that if I sent it back I would get a full refund. I sent the vaccume back certified mail and got a signature. For the past 4 months I have not gotten any of my money back. I wrote into the Better Business Bureau and they wrote back that I would be receiving my refund. This was a month ago and still nothing. If anyone knows of a lawyer who can set up a class action lawsuit let me know. My email is []. I cant find one, but I want to sue the crap out of these people for all of the money they have taken from people along with the intrest that they have earned.

I ordered a windstrom vac from an infomercial and after receiving it was very disspointed, the company misrepresented it. it looked like a toy. the deal was to buy one for 119 and receive one free and a steamer. well i received two for a total of 156.85 and never received the steamer. i sent both the vacs back with in a week and that was in dec,05 they took all the money out of my account causing me about 400 dollars in insuffient bank charges because they took the money out after receiving their product back so they got the product and my money. needless to say i have call regually staying on the phone for hours at a time with no answer or being cut off. i was able three different time in the past 5 months to actually talk to three different people and received the same reply my refund was being processed, and when i email which i have done so many times its always the same a customer representitive will contact you with in 24 hour and i'm still waiting.  This has been the biggest rip off scam i have ever seen there should be a way to make these people be accountable for their actions , taking peoples hard earned money and to treat people this way. i will never buy anything ever again over the phone or from tv. I can't belive they can get away with this. I haven't given up yet if i can find a way to make them pay me my money i'm going to.

I purchased this windstorm vac from tv it was a buy 1 get one free i bought 1   and was going to get my other free and give it to my mother in law. Instead i got charged for 2 and ended up with 4 they had charged my credit card a little over 300 and also charged me 10.00 X 4 = 40.00 for warranties on each vac and never asked for warranties. So i sent back 2 vacs and kept 2 trying to get my refund has been the biggest joke there employees are rude, they hang up,they say somebody will call you tommarow, they told me my money would be refunded into my account in 20 days its been 40 days and good luck in trying to get a hold of this company. Somebody needs to do something.

Hi. I called to order in early October for the buy 1 get 1 plus get a free steam cleaner. It was supposed to be $59.85 plus s/h. I had a recording that asked lots of questions. When I was done answering the questions, my buy one get one turned into a $372.00 sale... computer told me. I called right away to fix the problem and after a while got a live person. Person had an accent from the middle east, but had american sounding name Theresa. I explained that there was a mix up and to fix order. Seemed the more we talked the more the order got messed up and she insisted that I wanted 4 vacs and no steam cleaners. I said no to send me 1 special order. I also said to fix my account and crdit me money. She said she would give me a little over $200 back, but that means that I was paying double for the $59.85 oder. I told her to fix it and  iwanted it in writing. She sent me a paper that didn't say too much of importance, but did list that she would pay me a little over $200 back. Then  ichecked my account and all $372 wqs taken out. I bounced checks (I had used my debit card). If that wasn't bad enough, 2 payments of $14.99 kept coming out of my account each month. I thought it was something my husband was buying, but I called the number on my bank statement and talked to a vacation agency who said that the vac people told them and their partner company that I agreed to join their vacation and coupon companies. I said I did no such thing and they returned the money they had been taking out for 4 months, which was causing me to bounce more checks. The lady said that their vacation company had recieved many calls from people who wanted to know why money was being taken from their accounts and each answer was that the vac people had given approval and our account info as if from us. They saved the names of all the people that called in. Please check your accounts to see if you have been charged for a vacation club or a discount coupon club for $14.99 a month each. The clubs were legit people that got caught up with a bad company, but the vac people were giving names and account info out! I of course have been calling and calling the vac people and have mostly recieved hang ups or aited forever on hold. I spoke with a Theresa and a Monica (both with heavy Middle Eastern accents and American names) and got a run around from both. It is April.  ihave 4 vacs and no steamer. I ordered buy one get one plus a steamer. I have not seen the refund promised in writing and they have not picked up the vacuums. Also, I opened one vac and within 5 minutes it froze up and would not work again. I am contacting the BBB and still trying to get my money.

My husnand and I bought the "buy one get one free" offer off of the infomercial. We wound up with 4 vacuums and charged over $300. The vacuums are a total rip off and now we're out $300 because we either get the run-around about a deposit being posted in our account within 72 hours (this was 3 weeks ago), or can we get anyone to answer the phone!! We have been RIPPED OFF! I have sent a complain to the BBB and have notified our local "In Your Corner" defense reporter.

I bought this vacuum thinking it was the perfect vacuum since it was lightweight and I saw good reviews on it.  It's not a good vacuum if you have pets that shed a lot.  While trying it out the first time, I had to empty the filter at least 8 times before I finished my stairs.  This was more work than my old vacuum so I sent it back to them asking for a refund.  They have received the return and told me my credit would post within 2 days and I haven't seen any credit as of yet after 2 weeks.  I called the 1-800 # again and I get a busy signal everyday since then.  I sent an email and they told me I should get a response within 24 hours and I haven't heard anything from that either.  This is a complete rip off.   I ordered a dyson animal vac which I am very happy with but would like to get my refund from these freaking rip off people.

ordered a sweeper from a tv infomercial in december. was buy one get one free plus a bonus scunci steamer was included. was going to keep one and give one as a christmas gift. never received a product or any letter stating that my order would be delayed. have made several attempts to get my $215 dollars back. no such luck. have been on hold for hours. if i was lucky enough to talk to someone, they were very rude. sometimes they hung up on me. all i want is my money back and to stop this from happening to someone else. they have had my money for almost 4 months. i've gotten nothing but aggrevation from them.

I ordered the Windstorm from a TV commercial (buy one, get one free).  Soon thereafter, I received 4! Along with an invoice for over $300.00  This is supposed to be a $59.95 deal in three easy payments. I called to ask about this and Latisha told me to pack up the two I didn't want and send back (I had to pay for postage, of course). In the meantime, I tried one of these things and it didn't even pick up lint, much less anything else. So I called again and told Latisha that I was sending back all four.  We discussed the fact that I would be getting a refund minus the shipping cost. I would even get my postage cost back.  I sent these back to the tune of $40.00 and noticed on March 2, they had taken $229.70 out of my account (debit)! On March 20, they took another $79.79!  What the hell was going on here?!?  I called and spoke to Diane who could see that yes, this had happened and I would be given a full refund in 2-4 days.  It has been a few weeks now and still nothing.  Now, when I call the customer support number, nothing happens - no dial ring - just silence and eventual disconnect. These people need to be held accountable for blatantly ripping off the public.

I purchased 1 windstorm vaccum in December 2005, it was buy one get one free.  I received 4 vaccums the end of Dec.   I called the customer service # and told them I only wanted 2, my account was charged 331.67.  The customer service gal said I should have my refund before the end of January and to send the vaccums back to the Zambrano address in California, which I did.  It is now April 21, 2006 I have sent certified letters, e-mails, tried to cancel the charge but it was too late, and I am looking on the internet and this company is still advertising on the web...this is such bull shit.  I don't have a lot of money and the vaccums were for my mother for Christmas.  So now I don't have the vaccums or my money.  Plus I paid for UPS to send them back to the liars.   Hopefully we can all stop these loosers.  Good luck to all of you.

I bought the special off T.V., buy one get one free. I was also supposed to get a free steamer. I purchased the upgrade extra tools. Never have recieved the steamer or the rest of supposedly back ordered upgrade tools. This has been six months ago. You can not get anyone to talk to you. Every one you talk to gives you someone elses number. I paid almost 200.00 for something that I didn't get and what I did, doesn't work. They will not puck up anything. They say e-mail customer service. No response. I am retiuning what I got and I want a full refund or I will see them in court.

I ordered the Buy one Get one Free, plus receive the free steamer on January 24, 2006.  When I placed the order they could not give me a total.  They charged my credit card $197.86 on February 13, 2006, and shipped the steamer....NO vacuums.  I called the number that was on the emailed receipt, and to no avail, they had no record of my order, and my order number did not exist.  When my credit card statement came in, I called the number that was listed.   They shipped the vacuums and claimed they were delivered.  Maybe, but not to me.  Two days later I received the steamer.  Still no vacuums.  After numerous phone calls, and speaking with a supervisor to threaten the better business bureau, I finally got them to deliver one of the two vacuums.  They claim they sent two, but the packing slip clearly shows one!  I am still making complaint calls and am in the process of trying to figure out how to send the one I have back.   It Sucks....Doesn't pick up anything!!!  Do Not Order This Product, It is a Rip Off!!!!

I saw the infomercial re:storm vac.  Called the number, automated voice told me of "today only telephone special" get one vac for you and 2 others as gifts for loved ones for the price of $25.00 per vacuum.  After taking all of my info, NO total was given to me.   I called the next day (4-3-6).  Marie answered, said she could not give me a total as the order had not shown up yet and to call again in a "couple of days".   I called again on the 5th or 6th of April, the phone number had been changed and the operator ( Cheyenne) did not even know it, supposedly...red flags went up big time with me, I called the new number and spoke with "Cheyenne" who told me the same thing, the order was not showing up on the computer yet and they were back-logged from February.  I asked to speak to a manager and was told a manager could not help me either.  I cancelled the order.  I checked my bank account on 4-12-6 and to my horror and dismay...the windstorm company had charged my bank account $400.25.  I immediately went on the offensive, my bank told me that this company was on a "fraud alert", filled out the necessary forms to stop this, was advised to destroy my debit card as they could continue to make charges.  I filed a complaint with the better business bureau..would love to see the people behind this huge fraud go to prison for a very long time.  I also found in their fine print that they could establish "cookies" on my computer..I took action there also with a super-firewall virus update. I have not received any vacuums, and trust me I will not accept any and will get a receipt from anyone who tries to deliver them after I tell them of the fraud.

I ordered the Wind Storm on 10-28/05, but I have yet to receive the product even though my credit card was charged $124.21.  I have tried contacting them by phone and email... all to no avail.  I actually spoke to a real person on two different occasions and was told that the order would be cancelled and my credit card would be credited for the amount they charged. I have just finished filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.  Even if I do not receive any satisfaction, I feel better by having reported the company. What ever happened to honesty and integrity?  I couldn't live with myself if I treated people so dishonorably!

I ordered 1 Wind Storm vacuum off the internet from IGIA.  Couple weeks later I was charged 65.95 from Power Storm.   Just thinking  oh I am finally getting my vacuum.  Then on 7 April I noticed another charge from IGIA for 65.95.  I have charges from two different compnaies with two different phone numbers.  I called the Power Storm people @ 212-575-0500, in which I was put on hold and then told to give my name and number and someone would get back with me.  (any real company would have a customer service dept).  I then called IGIA @ 615-449-8877 who told me they only showed one charge.   I have still never receieved a vacuum and have contacted my bank for fraud and filed a police report.

I purchased the WindStorm Vaccuum online. It was charged to my credit card on Nov 6, 2005. Guess what? It is now Apr 6, 2006 and No vaccuum ever arrived. I tried calling several times, but would never get through to anyone. I waited on hold for over half an hour once! I then tried sending them a letter through the mail with my receipt enclosed. No word. What a rip-off. I wish there was some way for us to shut this scam down!

I too have been ripped off by the wind storm people.  They have now changed there identity to windstorm@ instead of IGIA.  My problem is that by the time I realized that I had been ripped off it had gone past the 60 days and my VISA would not help me.  I feel that in a case like this there should be other options for refunds.  It is different when a company goes under but these people are still operating.  I just got an advertisement at work and I could not believe my eyes there is even a new 800# which of course tells the same lies.

I ordered the windstorm vac in October and immediately my credit card was charged for the order.  It is now March 30th and after several attempts to reach the company to request a refund I am ready for further action.  Is there anything that can be done?

I ordered this item + 1 additional item just as everyone else via an infomercial on 2/19/2006.  I called a day later to confirm the amount to be charged to my bank account realizing I was not given a total. I received an answering machine suggesting I wait 72 hours before inquiring about my order due to the high volume of orders placed.  My IQ should have told me something was not quite right with this picture.  72 or more hours later I called to check the shipping date and status. I entered the phone number from which I placed the order and the message indicated no order was placed from that number.  I tried several times to contact the 1-800-709-2216 number and never reached anyone.  I held on line so long I was cut off.  This happened several times.  I was unable to connect to the website as suggested to inquire about the ordercustomercare@igia.com.  On March 13, 2006 a transaction came through my bank for $156.85 I had no idea what it was for. I again attempted to contact the 1-800 number with no luck.  March 29, 2006 UPS delivered a package of 2 Windstorm Vacuums.  I opened one of the packages and the catch which holds the hand vacuum in place was broken.  I Guess I am going to have a heck of a time contacting or returning this product.  I was also concerned when the packages did not come with any type of invoice indicating what was actually ordered nor a price for the products shipped.  I will be contacting my bank to file a dispute, the Attorney Generals office, and who ever else I can get involved to ensure this company is put out of business.  We need to also find a way to enforce stricter regulations on TV stations who allow the infomercials to be broadcasted from their network.
