On Aug. 8 2005 I ordered from an informercial the wind vac it was buy one get one free good deal right? Wrong, the money was removed from my account on Aug. 11 in the amount of 214.82 and three months later still no vacuums. So I called three different phone numbers only to be put on hold for over an hour each time only to be disconnected. I've written letters to the company and also sent emails to customer care and still nothing. I actually got a live person on the phone in January (surprise surprise} and was told I would get a refund HA HA!! So my question is what do we do now? Will any of us ever get our money back? I am going to contact the BBB, but I'm not sure what they can do. So my tale of woe is 6 months later no vacs and I'm out 214.00 bucks.Sadly if your reading this you also have probably been ripped off! I just want my money back, as far as I can see they have stolen 214.82 from me! They should be in jail!!!! If anyone has actually gotten their money back I'd love to know how you did it! Good luck all....

Oh Lord --what a mess---as many of you I ordered via phone---charge was more than expected---determined to get on of these " Fabulous" machines---I went to the internet----I would be able to print out the terms there :-) I called the 800# and cancelled the phone order the next day--already sent refund in 10-21 days and was told to refuse when arrived--by the way the internet order was more than expected --so I cancelled that too----Sooo one day after orders were placed --both were cancelled--refused the first package--i never recieved and was not supposed to rcv a 2nd package ---this sage started 12/07/2005 and has been ongoing --i have had 2 addntl charge for $79.90 ( for what I don't know) and this was after a rep told me tha a note was added to my account for no addtnl charges--Have been confirmed that the refunds of $229.70 + $133.14 $79.90 + $79.90 for a whopping total of $522.64--that has been charged to my Amex (SO FAR) and no vaccums-----Thank god for Amex for their dispute dept-- they are on it for me :-) I could not have imagined $522.64 being debited from my checking account---AS A RULE----only use a credit card that will dispute and credit the charges --Pending Inveatigation ---to make online or phone orders--Do not give access to your checking account---& check your credit card activity CONSTANTLY !! A GOOD # for IGIA is 12125750500 Although you will get the runaround--give this number to your credit card company and let them be on hold ---the cc compnay will get tired also and give you the credit and chargeback IGIA

I was up one night with a cold and could not sleep. I saw the infomercial for the Windstorm Vacuum Cleaner as I was flipping through channels. It just so happened that I needed a vacuum cleaner because we bought a new home and our old home had a central vacuum system. I was happy to buy a new house but knew I would miss the central vacuum system especially on the hard floors (wood and tile). In seeing the infomercial for the Windstorm they claimed it was powerful enough to suck and lift a bowling ball, etc. but the vacuum was especially good for your hard floors in addition to carpeting. I called to order and was promised 2 vacuum cleaners for a total including tax and shipping/handling. I received the vacuum cleaners--they do not work. I may as well have nothing or just use a broom on carpeting because it would work as well as the windstorm or better. Also, my credit card was charged over $300. I am going to try to get a class action law suit together for everyone who was scammed by this company!!

I ordered the vacum in November. I was grossly overcharged for the items. On the infomercial the price was $129 something. I was supposed to get a second vacum free, just pay for shipping and another freebie was a steam cleaner. I was charged $378.62. I sent several emails, called several times but never heard from them. I found a site similar to this one and a person had posted a phone number for Tactica's corporate HQ. I was able to get through to them on 9 January 2006. They promised to refund my moeny within 10-21 business days. It has been 23 days, and no refund. I called them again today, 8 feb 2006, and they gave me the same song and dance. I do not trust them to pay me so I am going to go to the bank and request them to reverse the charge. This company is the subject of different lawsuits, one from the FCC and one by singer, the maker of the vacum. They are without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with.

I ordered this windstorm back in June of2005. Back then it was a 'singer lazer vac'. I have never received anything. After about two hours on the phone I do get a person that says they have my order but cannot say when it will be sent. So I started demanding a refund. Obviously, I won't ever get a vacuum or my money back. I had paid extra for a longer cord too. They charged my card immediately when it was ordered. Everyone needs to stay away from Igia (or singer- whoever they are going by). What I don't understand is how I still see these advertised on TV?!! Doesn't anyone monitor these rip off companies? I guess I will have to chalk it up to rip-off experience. Now I am extremely cautious when ordering anything over the tv or internet.

I already submitted comments on 1/3/06. Just wanted to give an update. It is Feb. 4th, and still no vacuums. If by chance I receive them, I will refuse them. If UPS leaves them when I'm not home, I will not open them and take them to the nearest UPS store and return them, as refused. My bank already credited my account. I sent them the link to this website, so they could see all the other victims of this company. They should be ashamed of themselves, ripping us all off like this!! I ordered mine on 11/19/05 and checked this website to make sure they were really OK. Unfortunately, the first complaint was not posted until 11/28/05, after I had ordered. I found this Scam website, when I had gone back searching for a contact link or another 800# I could call about my order. I was horrified to find out I had been scammed. I hope they stop showing this informercial so others do not get ripped off. I'm now very paranoid to order anythng I see on TV. This is sad, because they are giving other honest companies that advertise on TV, a bad name. Thank you for this website. Perhaps the Better Business Buerau can use all these complaints to run them out of business!!!!

We ordered a Windstorm vacuum in October and our account was charged on the 16th of Oct for $136.27. It is 2/3/06 and we still have not seen a vacuum. We will also be registering complaints with the BBB, our credit card company and TV Guide, because that is where we saw the commercial. They have a responsibility to know the companys and products they sell.

In early December 2005, I woke up early and saw the infomercial about the windstorm vac. It stated buy one get one free @ 3 pymts of 39.95 and a free steamer. I called and placed the order but I could not hear the offer on the infomercial what I heard was buy two and get two free for $159 plus S & H. I hung up and called back to check to see if they offered something else and it said the same thing. I looked at my bank statement and I was billed for $313.70. I called my bank to lodge a complaint. The bank sent the form with National Bank's # of 323.655.6001, I called and was told to call ACH Commerce @ 800.724.8780, I called and was told to call Brass Logistics @ 323.201.4500. I explained that after calling the number from the infomercial it said buy two get two free @ 159.?? plus s & H. Customer Service said no you order 2 buyone get one free. I explained that I heard buy two and get two but no free steamer. She sold me I was wrong and did I want a full refund I said yes. I asked was there anything else I needed to do and she said no. I asked if she was going to issue me a refund and she said yes. I called back to make sure she was going to refund my money and when a lady answered the phone she put me into an automatic system giving me another number to call customer service @ 800.709.2216 that ask if you are checking on your order and to give the phone number they had none of the phone numbers I use, then it say thank you for calling and hung up.

I purchased two windstorms vacuums from the infomercial. I received tham and they do not work at all! I have attempted to contact the company and numerous occasions, via email and phone calls. I either get disconnected, or no response. I DID file a complaint with the BBB. The company responded that a pick-up authorization number was being issued so I did not have to pay the shipping cost. Now, I cannot get a hold of anyone to get the authorization number!! I am so mad at this company I could scream. Any advice????

I ordered this vacuum on 12/5/05, two for the price of one. My order total was not given to me on the phone because the operator hung up before I could ask. So I thought my total would be around $200 dollars or so, which was cool. My total was a whopping $454.42. I couldn't wait to contact someone and get my money back. Now, I'm calling and calling to talk to someone ASAP. Ive waited several hours on the phone waiting for a customer service rep. I made 4 calls that day that were well over an hour holding per call. My next day I continued to call. I waited 14 min and talked to someone who told me to refuse the order but hung up before I could ask the rest of my questions. I called back a third time, waited 37 min and my call was dropped. I called a forth time and I was on hold for 41 min before I gave up. What a joke. No way in the world would I have agreed to that price. I did not want to receive this vacuum but I was told that it has already been shipped. I refused the product and I never opened anything because I didn't want to spend one red cent to ship it back. I had no RMA(Return Merchandise Authorization)and no notes added to my account explaining what was going on here. After finding this infomercialscams.com website, I read where a woman received all but $74.00 back. She then contacted VISA to work the issue for her and and only then was she able to get a full refund. On 1/30/06, I too contacted VISA and will now be refunded all of my money by end of business tomorrow. I suggest you allow your bank to investigate this for you because you can't do this alone.

I originally placed an order via the automated ordering service, which by the way wasnt very good, on 1/1/06 about a TV ad for the Windstorm, the offer was buy one for 3 payments of $39.95 and get the second one free. I then called back on 1/4/06 and talked to someone after a 45 min wait and wanted to cancel my order, I was told that I wasnt in the computer, but my information was taken, and was told to call back in another day, I then called back on 1/5/06 and was told again that I wasnt in the computer to wait another day, on 1/6/06 I called and was told there were no customer service reps available and they would call between 4 PM- 6 PM EST in which I received no call but was billed $180.13 from the company. I called again on 1/10/06 and was again told that there were no customer service reps available and they would call between 4 PM- 6 PM EST and again received no call. I finally spoke to someone 10 1/11/06 and was told that I would receive a refund in 10-20 days. On 1/20/06 I again called and was told that I had to find out which location I was billed from and to fax a copy of my statement to a NY number. I then received the vacuums on 1/23/06 and found that I had received four instead of the two originally ordered. I was then billed another $79.90 on 1/25/06 which put my account in a negative balance resulting in bounced checks. Upon calling again today 1/27/06 and again was told that there were no customer service reps available and they would call between 4 PM- 6 PM EST but I am not waiting anymore I believe that I have waited long enough. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and suggest that you dont order their products anymore or if you did call or email the BBB and fill them in on the practices of Windstorm.

I ordered the Windstrom the offer was buy one for 3 payments of $39.95 and get the second one free. So I placed my order on November the 5th, on November 16th I checked the balance in my bank account and it wasn't correct but IGIA had taken the payment for the Windstrom amount $413.17. I called the customer service number and stayed on hold for 2 hrs I never got answer, I called late in the evening and early in the morning. On December 5 I got an agent I cancelled my order and requested a refund I was told that it will take 21 days before the money is put back into my account. Today is January 26 2006, I have sent this company 19 email with no answer, I made over 60 phone call. I have commcated with the agents in the New York office and they are telling me that your order is cancelled and your refund request has been submitted and maybe you will receive you refund sometime in March. I told them that it didn't take you 4 months to take it out of my account why in the hell is going to take so long to refund me. She said well we have a lot of refund request and you just have to wait. I also asked her if my money was drawing interest while you are holding it because if it was in the bank it would be. If you ask for anyone higher than a supervisor there nobody. This is a rip off and I wish that there was some that cant be done. I will never order anything off of TV again

I called my credit card company and found out I was billed for 4 vacuums plus shipping on 4 vacuums. I am now disputing the charges. In the future I will do my home work before I buy anything from the tv.I hope everyone knows that Singer as in sewing ect. is not part of this scam and is in court over the use of their name. Thats why the name change I wish I knew about this site before I ordered. My credit card company told me about this site. Thank-you for letting me vent, Kathi

On Oct 17th I ordered from IGIA.com. I placed the order over the phone through an automated attendant. The attendant never gave me a verbal total. However, based on the items ordered, I had a pretty good idea what my total was supposed to be. I figured it would be about $150. The Wind Storm itself was $119 and it was buy one get one free. I have documentation to show the same vacuum is currently being advertised for $55 each, making the total for two $110. The price has come down a little but, but is virtually the same. I also ordered the "steamer upgrade" for $20. Also to be included was shipping and handling, the amount of which was not revealed. I was charged $353. I have called three different 1-800 numbers but have never spoken to a live representative. One time I sat on hold for over two hours before the system disconnected me. I have sent more emails than I can count. I have received two automated responses advising me a customer care representative would personally respond to my e-mail within 24 hours. I have never received a response. I don't know what to do. It is as if the company doesn't really exist and I am certain their customer service department does not. I would simply like my credit card credited the $200 I was overcharged.

This is Pat again. I have been relating my stories regarding the IGIA Windstorm Vacuum. They charged my account $313.70 and then after a lot of calling my credit card (Visa) I went thru the same deal you all did with getting 4 sweepers and I refused shipment with UPS. IGIA finally sent me a credit for all but $74.00. Well, tried to call IGIA (which is a waste of time and energy) and finally got fed up and called my Visa again. Well, Visa took care of it and yesterday I got a letter from Visa to say that my account has been cleared of all charges concerning IGIA and their useless sweepers. I am so grateful to my Visa card and I cannot thank them enough for getting me out of this mess. Hope you all make out as well as I did and I will spread the word to anyone who is willing to listen to me about this company and its lies. Good luck to all and be careful next time ordering from these infomercials.

I am ashamed to write this as I too was scammed. I called the 800 number. The first cue that this was not legit should have been the total automation, and that there was no final verification of the amount I was being charged on my credit card. I received not 2 one free and the one I ordered but 4 vacuums. I have sent 3 emails with no response and have made 182 attempts before I finally got through to the customer service number on the invoice 1/800/711/8357. After holding for 38 minutes, the representative came on the line and told me if I opened the box, my only options is to send them back at my expense and if they are not back within 30 days of the day I placed the order the vacuums will be held at the warehouse and considered my vacuums, or they could send me a shipping label for the 2 I feel I ordered in error, but again if it is later than 30 days they will not credit my account. When I told her it was 30 days today she told me there is nothing she can do and hung up on me. PLEASE do not get scammed like I did. The Better Business Bureau is getting a letter from me as well. Lets notify the BBB until we get this stopped

I called and ordered this machine because it was suppose to be two machines for the price of $39.95 a month for 3 months. I'm a disabled worker and because of the price and the supposedly light weight of the vacuum I thought it would be good. Well I decided to get a different vacuum and called them to cancel the order, I finally got through to a person after about 10 tries and 30-45 min. on the phone each time. I was told the order was cancelled and my money would be refunded in 15-20 days, then I discovered the next day that they had taken $201.87 off my credit card. I called Igia and couldn't get through, of course, then I called my visa card an immediately cancelled my card, I also had gotten on the internet and saw that the windstorm was an informercial scam. About a week later I recieved a box from UPS and it was the vacuums (4) of them, I refused the box and it was returned, a week later I recieved another box which I opened that had filters in it, and a Bill for an additional $159.00 for merchandise I never ordered. I returned that, it was light weight so it didn't cost me to much. Thank God I cancelled my card or I'm sure they would have taken the extra money they say I now owe and there was a letter in the filter box saying that they will be sending me more products that will come later, I didn't order anything else but they say I did. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, The Federal Trade Commission, I also called UPS and told them not to deliver anything from the IGIA Company to my home, just to be sure I've posted signs outside both of my doors and on my garage that UPS is not to deliver anything from this company to my home. Talk about false advertisement, they lied about the products cost, then stole from my account and are still wanting more money. Their customer service sucks, to say the least. They have the Audacity of decieving innocent consumers and I hope they will have to pay for their lies and theft of our money. This companies greed is dispicable. Their address and Phone number is Igia 4900 Zanbrano St. Commerce, Ca 90040 800-711-8257 Do yourself a favor and don't call you'll never get through, although they'll tell you someone will be with you shortly, if someone does answer they'll hang up on you, for no reason.
