I ordered the Wind Storm vacuum on October 9, 2005, 2 weeks after placing the order my account was debited, which led me to believe the vacuum would soon arrive. After a month went by and I still had not received the vacuum I decided to call and check on the status of my order. I had a very hard time getting thru but finally did get thru At that time I was told my order was on backorder and would be another 2 weeks before it was shipped. Not wanting to wait any longer I decided to cancel my order and was told my account would be credited within 5 - 7 business days. A few weeks later my account had still not been credited. I called again about 2 weeks ago and again had a very hard time getting thru. The person I spook with told me again my account would be credited in 5 to 7 business days and as of today my account still has not been credited.

I odered a WindStorm Vacuum from a Infomercial on TV. I placed the order by phone and within less than a hour my charge card had been charged double what the original amount should of been. The recording states you product will be shipped within 4 to 6 weeks. So I began my attempt to clear up this matter before the product was shipped. Then the nightmare began. On hold for up to 2 hours when a live voice came on the line they were rude and before she gave me the tracing number for the product that was supposly already shipped and delivered our connection was broken. I was hung up on. I asked for the address of the Corperate office of IGIA and the tracking number of my product. My story is almost a repeat of the material I read on your website. Charged double the amount, never received the product but when and if I do don't know rather to send back others are doing so and still losing their money. I pray that someone with the power to stop these people will do so soon it is hurting good people emotional, financially and their faith in honest people. Called Federal Express filed a report, am in the process of contacting the Attorney General of Missouri, Calf and New York. I have spent 4 days of my Christmas Break working on this stuff just because I wanted a lightweight vaccum for my elderly mother. Hope this help everyone.

Ordered in late Sept. 05. Received email on Oct 8th, shipped FedEx included tracking #. Credit card statement came in. Charged for the vacuum on Oct 4th. Checked the FedEx site several times. It never showed any data. In late Oct. I called FedEx. Was told that label data had been sent (which generated a tracking number) but they had not been notified for pick-up. After many fruitless attempts to contact the company I did finally get hold of a live person who said they would check and call me back. No return call. I called several times again and finally got a live person again. I was told the vacuum would ship, arriving late Nov or early Dec. No vacuum. Called again, Has my vacuum shipped? "No" Canceled my order. The rep. said it would be Jan 8th before it would show on my card. We'll see. Considering their track record ....

I recently ordered a vacuum through an infomercial with the understanding that I would receive another one for free in addition to a free steamer. I later on received, not two, but four vaccum cleaners and no steam vac. There was no statement, receipt, return address, nothing. Soon afterwards I received numerous phone call from my credit card company telling me that my balance was four months past due. It turns out that there was initial charge of $353.70. Due to my refusal to pay the excessive amount, there have been numerous late fee charges totaling to $503.17 at the moment, which will go up after January 16, 2005 if I do not pay. They are now threatening to turn me into the collection agency in addition to ruining my credit, which has been perfect to this day. Although I have spoken to numerous representatives, the credit card company still continues to call me three to five times daily, both at home and work. Because I already received the items and have yet to return them, the credit card company is giving me a hard time about disputing the charges. I e-mailedcustomercare@igia.comlast night and soon received a letter stating that I would be helped within 24 hours. Still no one has responded. I called the 1-800-716-8667 number, which directed me to use the e-mail address for faster service or call 1-800-709-2216. This number again, told me to e-mail and call 1-800-709-2216, the very same number I just dialed. Does anyone have the address that I can return these products to? I would greatly appreciate a response from anyone.

I ordered the wind storm through an infomercial. It was buy one get one free. They were to charge my card $39.95 a month for 3 months. On 11/09/05 they took $258.82 from my account (more than the actual cost of the vacuum). I immediately called them (800-711-8357). Of course you're on hold for over 30 mins. each time. When I finally got ahold of someone I demanded a complete refund. she told me it would take 5-7 busniness days. By the 7th day I still had no refund. I called again, this time I was told that it wasn't even showing that I requested a refund, but she would take care of it and it was going to take 15-20 business days for the refund. The 20th day, still no refund, I called back. This time I was told that I was scheduled for a refund on 12/23/05. By the end of the day on 12/23/05 I still had no refund. I called again, I was told that they are having to manually put the refunds in and that my name was on the list and it would be in my account by the end of their business day on 12/23/05. It is now 12/29/05 and still no refund. I sent numerous emails tocustomercare@igia.comandcustomercare@singerlazer.com. I would always get a generated email response telling me I would be contacted within 24 hours. I have never received a response from any email I have sent. I got online today and found this website and realized that this company is indeed a scam. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General and just sent Contact 16 (www.wndu.com) an email regarding this company. I did go to my bank today and filed a dispute with this company. They told me that if they find out it is a fraudulent company that they will reimburse my money. I advise any one and everyone that has this same problem to contact all of the places I mentioned above as well as filing a dispute through your bank or credit card company. If we all do this, hopefully someone will be able to file a class action lawsuit against this company.

I ordered one vacuum and 4 showed up charging me an outrageous amount of money. There is no customer service to answer your call...so dont try. I denied acceptance of the vacuums and returned them. They have yet to credit my account, in fact, they charged me again this month. If anyone has any ideas...please let me know. I am getting really P.O.'d !!!!!

I ordered the windstorm vacuum over the phone, it was supposed to be 3 payments of 39.95 plus shipping and handling. I never received the vacuum but my credit card was charged 453.00. I called IGEA several times and was kept on hold more than 30 minutes, each time, one time it was over an hour and a half. I was able to contest the charge and it was taken off by my credit card company, but this company is a SCAMMER and should not even be allowed to stay in business. What can we do to put them out of business??

My husband thought he would be nice and to surprise me he also ordered the Windstorm Vacuum. He never spoke to a human being during the whole ordering process. I was not here when he ordered the vacuum because I would have told him not to. Well, we got our Visa bill and $313.70 was charged to our account. I immediately called Visa and told them this is not correct that my husband was told 3 payments of $39.99. Visa immediately put a "dispute" on the charge and said they will send a form for us to fill out and we must include all copies of the transactions. Well, I went on line immediately and cancelled the order to which they replied they will respond within 24 hours. To date, have heard not one word from them. We called the 800 number and spoke to someone that put us on hold and then hung up. We tried again...same thing. Well, yesterday UPS came with 4 packages from National Fulfillment. I told UPS I don't know who that is. We opened a piece of one of the packages and here there was a small pamphlet with a picture of the vacuum on it. I told UPS I am refusing shipment. I got the tracking numbers and went into UPS and printed the form out where it is being returned to California. I went [] and there are about 6 Windstorm Vacuums (in the boxes). I guess those people were hoodwinked too and are trying to get some of their money back. I cannot believe this company is getting away with this. We have a Better Business Bureau in our area and I am calling them on Monday to report this company. I hope word gets around so there aren't any more people that get scammed by this so-called company.

I ordered the winstorm vacuum as well. I saw the informercial for the buy one and and get one free and get the free steamer. I got my 2 vacuums which dont work well at all. I never got my free steamer either. The extra filters I paid extra for were damaged. I have made numerous attemps to call and email Igia but have been very unsuccessful. I finally did get a hold os someone to let them now that I wasnt happy with the service nor the product I ordered. I shipped mine back and was told to call back with the tracking number so my charge card would be credited back. I can not get through once again to give Igia my tracking number. I am so worried that my card will not be credited back the $119.00. Anyone who has any suggestions please help there has got to be something that we all can do for getting scammed by this company!

I saw the infomercial for the vacuum buy 1 get 1 free along with a free steamer. I ordered the product taking into account the price of the vacuum and shipping and handling thinking the total amount to be debitted from my account would be no more than $200.00. They hit my account for $313.70. I have no order number and everytime I access the website I can't set up an account to find out any information. I was searching the web and see the State of New York has a lawsuit against IGIA parent company Tactica International prohibiting them from doing the exact thing they are doing. I will be sending David N Kelley US atty for S. District of NY my complaint about this companies tactics in taking orders and not giving the consumer information on how to get a refund or even making customer service reps available to help consumers. I think I'll be like other frustrated consumers and have my bank stop pay, cancel my debit card and re-issue and see if the product comes anyway. Just wanted to let people know there is a lawsuit out there against them.

I had the same thing happen to me! This is madness!! I can't believe they can get away with this. I responded to the same buy one get one offer, even planned to give one as a christmas present. Instead, I was charged an even $175.00, which is not what I agreed to!! I am so upset right now. What can we do?!!

As I read the other complaints, it felt like my own story. I too "thought" I purchased "buy 1 get 1 free" Storm Vac with free Steamer. However, my checking account was charged $247.67 and I had no idea why since the deal was $39.95/month for 3 months plus I ordered replacement filters ($17.97) which the add actually states you don't need. I attempted many times by phone, being put on hold for 2 hours and then disconnected and I tried several e-mails to contact the company, getting a courtesy e-mail stating they would contact me within 24 hours --- which of course never happened. I did finally receive my vacuums; however I received 4 of them not 2 like I ordered, 4 5-year warranties that I did not order at $10 per vacuum plus my filters. I did not, however, receive my free steamer. My bank did credit back my $267.47 while they investigate this; however, I am concerned they will take it back out once they realize I did receive 4 vacuums, even though I did not order them. Now I have 4 vacuums I don't need. I don't want to return any of them until I am able to speak with a customer service represntative, which at this rate will never happen. So, like many of the other people complaining, I am not sure what to do at this point. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This company needs to be put out of business!

I also ordered and was charged way over what I agreed to pay. When I called to check on my order, which was the next day it said I had never ordered. Then I began receiving vacuums. I am very upset and do not have the money to pay this outrageous price. I want my money back, and phone calls returned or email answered.I am not happy at all.

On October 15th around 0700 hrs., my husband order a vacuum that was advertised "buy one get one free" at 3 payments of $39.95. The promotional ad indicated that no replacement filters were required, etc., etc. At 0745, I e-mailed IGIA and canceled the order. I received an acknowledgement that someone would respond within 24 hrs. - no one did. I hadn't heard anything and assumed that it was taken care of. But no, on 11/28, I was balancing our bank statement and found that $331.67 was taken from our account (39.95 x 3 = 119.85 x 2 = $239.70 + 3 filters at 17.97 and sh @ 74.00 = $331.67. At this point (over a month)we did not have the vacuum. I have phoned IGIA, was on hold over 45 mins, got disconnected, called again and again, with same results. Finally spoke with Judy who gave me a UPS tracking number and advised that the vacuum was shipped on 11/21. I called UPS and was advised that the order had not yet been picked up. Called IGIA with same results and finally reached another agent Mary and got frustrated in telling her the same story and again another agent Jessica (if these are their real names) and told all three that according to UPS the vacuum was still at IGIA (understand that IGIA "Performace Center" is located in CA). An agent (not sure which one at this time) advised that she would contact the Performace Center which she did and did confirm that the vacuum was still there. Yet, they could not cancel the order. This I don't understand. Later I spoke with Leigh (or Lisa) and she assured me that she would take care of the matter. Still waiting and have now been in contact via e-mail with Leigh Mainieri and still have not received a satisfactory response to my inquiry. Her e-mail address islmainieri@igia.com. Up until November 29th, we had not received the vacuum. But on 12/1 UPS delivered it but my husband was able to reject receipt of it and sent it back. There is a lot more to this story - this is just some of the highlights. Not sure if I want to share this at this time - so I'll say yes for now.

In a sleepless stupor at 3am on night I ordered the "Windstorm" Vac. from a TV infomercial in early december, 2005. I now realize that it is the same company and vacuum that as the Singer Lazer Vacuum which has had an injunction placed on it preventing its sale. I had called the sales number and was guided through a seemingly endless menu to complete the order, each step having more things shoved at me to buy. I ordered 1 vacuum and a "free gift" steamer. On Dec 12th, I looked at my visa statement and saw a charge for $368.13 along with several overdraft charges because I had not deposited enough money to cover that amount. When I arrived home I found a package from them with 3 vacuums in it. The invoice said I had been charged 119 for one, 79 for another, and one free. The "free" gift was actually $20.00 plus s/h on the invoice, and shipping for the medium sized box was listed as $102.00. I have never been charged that much for ANY package, let alone a modest-sized, fairly lightweight on. I tried to call customer service and waited for 45 min with no answer. I also emailed them 3 times with no answer. I have started a fraud claim with my credt card company, and am returning the package to the sender. I have no idea if the claim will be successful, but can say with certainty that if it is, it will be through the determination of the fraud team at my company, and not through customer service at IGIA.

I have since then e-mail them and I am still calling. yes, we need to be able to sue the company not only for false advesmt but for stress, faud, and stealing. I know I only order the special they sent more and took out more money out of my acct. that is stealing.

I have to second the last posting regarding this disgraceful company. I too ordered the buy one get one free and recieved the same 4 vacuums plus numerous attachments. I have put a dispute into my credit card company, sent and received a letter with return receipt from the company but I cannot contact anyone there. I did the first time I called to complain and since then, the line has always been busy. I refuse to pay for the return shipping or any other charge other than what I agreed upon when I call the infomercial number.

I have been scammed also and it stinks. I placed my order on September 30, 2005 and my bank account was charged approximately four weeks later. I have still not received the vacuum and I don't think I'm going to if these entries are any indication. I found on Singer.com that a federal judge issued an injunction again Tactica Internal, Inc on Sept. 28, 2005. Tactica is prohibited from selling or advertising proudcts bearing the Singer or Lazer name or tradmark. No more purchases were to be made after October 4th. Of course, there's still no way to get in touch with anyone from the company. I suggest filing a complaint with your state attorney general, local police department, and if anyone out there knows a good attorney, let's get a class action lawsuit going.
