I called to order this product back in May of 2005 and after 4 months of non receipt I started to get a little worried. So I called to find out status and was told they were facing a huge backorder and to be patient. Well, sure things happen so I wait another 3 months and I call to cancel and request a refund. Well here it is over 1 year and 3 months from the time that i originally placed my order and still no Vac or Refund. As a matter of fact I am on hold waiting on the next available agent as I type.

I ordered this item at the end of October 2005. I am STILL waiting on a refund. I have tried contacting via email and only receive an automated response that I will be contacted, which never happens. I have been calling the corporate line in NY at least once a month to try to get my money back. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, and still nothing. Each time I call, they confirm the amount I am owed, and say a check will be in the mail, or that the refund system is down, or some other excuse as to why it has taken over 10 months and I still have not received the refund (so much for their 30 day money back guarantee). Any advice for how people have actually gotten their money back would be very helpful. Oh- and when you ask for a name when you do speak with a representative, when you call back, there conveniently isn't an employee there by that name.

I ordered the windstorm vacuum in feb'06. It took 2 months to receive, and when I did I received 2 vacuum. They did not clean my carpet like the commercial, so I took all of the correct measures and returned. I have been trying since May '06 to get my money back. These people lye and say "Your check has been issued and should get it in 2 weeks" That's a joke! I have done some research and reported these people to the New York BBB. This company sells MANY things you see on infommercials. I suggest that you pull up the N.Y. BBB and look. Use this # to do the research (212)575-0500, which is the Corp. #. The company name is TACTICA INTERNATIONAL INC. 245 8th Ave. NewYork, NY 10011. I have since recv'd a letter from the Windstorm comp. stating that they need proof that they took my money (that ironic!). So, I am hoping that this means SOMETHING. Just a bit of FYI - I also have 3 of the floormanagers names and I now call and speak with them. Monica Smith, Mary Smith and Mary Johnson. So be firm and to the point. Make them give you info, and MAKE A REPORT TO THE BBB OF NEW YORK. I have even threatened with filing legal procedings. Maybe if enough of us get together we can get our money back. We work hard, and should not be punished for returning something that has a money back guarantee. If anyone want to file suit....I AM IN!

Well here is another story just like the rest.I ordered a vac over the phone and amonth later I get this huge package. When I opened it there were 4 Vacuum Cleaners.I only ordered 1 and get 1 free.I have tried this Vacuum and it is the worst piece of crap I have ever used.I sent 2 of them back by UPS in December 2005 and have been contacting them ever since.Either they hang up on you.I have tried the internet and they state they will contact you in 24 HRS and I am still waiting for them to contact me.We work hard to earn our money and pay taxes to be protected but it looks like no one will help..This is ridiculous.....If anyone can open a class action suit I'm sure we will all back you...

No refund. Called again 7/26/06 told refund would come by 8-2-06. No refund as of yet, I called today and spoke to a manager Judy Mason. I wait at least 1 hour to get through everytime I call. Here is the phone # that gets me to them 212-575-0500 try this # forget the 800#'s they dont work!!. Dial the long distance call!!! She promised me my refund by Sept 1. This whole thing really sucks. It is so scandalous!!! I am putting a complaint into the attorney generals office of CA for fraud. My attorney said that is the only thing that get action!! Please put your complaint into them too.

I am very unhappy with this vacuum. It does not perform as they show it on tv. It does not pick up any lint. I want a refund and do not know what to do.

I ordered this vac back in Dec'05 at a buy one get one offer. It took almost a month to get my order of which they doubled my order and charged me $575.00.The product was a joke to begin with,so I returned the vacs for a refund. And we all know that was a mess up.It is now Aug'06 and still no refund,I'm wandering if all of us could get a class action lawsuit going on this.Someone has to do something soon,it makes me sad to read all of these other letters from people just like me, that got took advantage of by this company. If anyone knows how to get something going please email me at []

I ordered the Igia windstorm vacuum in September of 2005 and still have not received it. I called Igia's customer care number and got a hold of a representative in December of 2005, who told me that I would get a refund check in 6 weeks. I still have not received that check. I called their customer care number again and have been put on hold for over an hour each time only to be disconnected. After some searching I found a post from a customer who said that this phone number works and he got his refund back on a credit card the next day. The number is 1-800-974-8590. I called them today and spoke to a Chinese woman named Rozette who seems to be the only person answering the phone. After yelling at them and threatening to go the the district attorney as my next step, I was told that I would be receiving a refund in the mail in a week. They said they no longer refund credit cards for some reason. I don't know if I really will be getting my money back but they gave me a check number stating that it would be coming in the mail soon. I wouldn't be surprised if they're scamming me again but it's worth the try. Good luck!

Add my name to the long list of people taken in by this scam. I ordered the Wind Storm VAc in Dec. '05, here it is Aug. '06 and no vacuum and NO refund. No matter how many time I've contacted customer service all I get is an automated answering machine. I spoke to a live person in Feb. '06 and was promised a refund in Apr. '06 - still waiting.

In February I ordered the StormVac, on a buy one, get one free deal. They sent me 4 vacuum cleaners, instead of two at a charge of $381.00, $100.00 of this was shipping and handling alone. I returned all four of the items because I was not satisfied. They received the vacuum cleaners back on March 23, 2006 (confirmed by the U.S. Postal service) and another $40.00 was paid to return these. I have had contact with customer service reps on 4 occasions and have gottent he same run-around as every else. "There's no note on your account" or "the person you spoke with is no longer here". I even got a direct line to customer service and whenever I call they put me on hold, sometimes for as long as 40 minutes and no one ever picks up the phone, they just keep putting me on hold. I thought I was the only one until I read all these postings. I am furious that a company can do this to so many consumers! Is there anything we can do??

In September 2005, my Mom ordered the Windstorm Vac. (she is elderly) The info-ad stated she would receive two vacs and a hand held steamer. They charged her credit card for $188.71. I have been sending letters, e-mails and have made numerous telephone calls. Since January, I have received nothing but empty chatter from the customer service reps. They tell me my Mom's name is on the list and she will receive a refund. I'm prepared to call "5 on your side" on my Mom's behalf!!

I ordered my Windstorm in Nov. 05 and it is now July '06 and have not received my product yet. I have written and received 4 letters from the company and they keep saying the same thing which is to call the same number (which is never answered). I have made my case very clear and now all I want is my money refunded to my account. They say it is on hold and I should be receiving my order soon. I know many of you have experienced the same thing but I just needed to add my story to everyone elses. I don't even want the product anymore since I have heard so much negative about it's performance. I will be contacting my Attorney Generals office in another month. I told them this in my last letter. It didn't seem to bother them.

i did not even get the product they charged my husbands credit card and never sent it. my husband spoke to them twice to have them to just put our money back on. we ordered in nov 05 we told them jan06 we wanted our money back and it is now july 06 and we cant even get anybody. our emails come back now too.. this is the biggest rip off we are out 128.35.

6/28/2006 - Kimberly writes:
I foolishly ordered the vac and obviously was ripped off-should have known when my account was charged before product was shipped which is usually how it works

i bought a vacuum from windstorm-igia in october 2005 and never received my product or a refund. they took 330 dollors out of my acct, which was double the amount i ok'd. this company is pretty shaddy and the customer service is terrible. what can i do?. del cavalier. []....

have made several attempts to call, they say go to website after being on hold for several minutes. the offer was two for the price of one, they ordered me two offers - why do i need 4 vacuums?

i ordered a winstorm vac om Dec the 4th. i was asked if I wanted to express ship the product. I told the rep yes and after (15) fifteen days still no product arrived? I called and talked with a customer service rep and was told that due to high volume they were all back ordered and it would be shipped asap. After still not recieving the vacuum i noticed that winstorm charged me $63.32 for shipping and $300.17 for a product which never came to my residence? I have emailed over (3) dozen times with numerous phone calls on hold for hours at a time and still with no settlement! this has to be one of the biggest scams i have ever experienced! this company is just like criminals stealing from individuals who put trust in a product from a info commercial they see on tv with no results, these people need to be stopped if all possible. i have talked with others who have experienced the same type of ripoffs from the same company. this is sad that these types of acts take place and there is nothing that nobody can do to resolve this type of theivery.

I have ordered and received the product in March of 2006. After two days, I decided to send the product back as it did not perform as described in the TV comercial. I've been waiting for my money to be returned but have not received any type of reply from the company. The customer service's email address is: "customercare@stormvac.com". My order number is: []. These people seem to take your money fast but, will not respond to anything regarding refunds.

In October 2005 I ordered two windstorm vaccums and have not received them as of this date. I have called the company repeateadly and have been put on hold for hours. On several occasions I have been told that it is on its way. For the past four months I have not been able to speak with a represenative. Either no one answers or their automated system hangs up on you. I have e-mailed them several times and have not received a call or email back. The next step is to contact the OFFICE OF THE U.S. POSTAL INSPECTOR and make a formal complaint. I think that they can be heavily fined for what they have done. If you check the U.S. POSTAL INSPECTOR'S OFFICE WEBSITE you can even make the complaint online. I will make the complaint today and let everyone know how I make out.

I too have been scammed by these people. I ordered mine at the 2-for-1 deal and received 4. I sent them all back and have yet to see any refund. I was told at first that they would credit my account. Then about 5 weeks ago they switched their story and told me that they would be mailing me a check. The "customer service rep" gave me a number where an actual person does answer the phone, but can never transfer me to anyone else. A supervisor is never available, and i too have been disconnected from their service phone number. I was charged $353 and have yet to see any money refunded to me. What a scam!!!
